Marvel Officially Confirms Who Is the Best Spider-Man

Published

on

spider-man-into-the-spider-verse-character-poster-miles-morales.jpg

There are a few men who hold the title of “Spider-Man” in the world of Marvel comics. Fans met many of them in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and its follow-up film, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. The character is more about the mantle of Spider-Man than the one behind the mask, as the Phil Lord and Chris Miller film taught audiences. That means, though, that fans have their favorite version of the character and some want to see other heroes get to take on the action as Spider-Man outside of Peter Parker. Which is what makes Marvel’s next release so exciting.

Introduced in 2011, after being inspired by Donald Glover‘s character Troy in the show Community, Brian Michael Bendis and artist Sara Pichelli brought to life a new Spider-Man hero: Miles Morales. The Brooklyn-based web-slinger is incredibly smart, has parents who love him and want to protect him, and he’s the kind of New York kid who isn’t going to let some villain take over his city. There are some similarities between Miles and Peter, but for the most part, Miles has his own set of powers and is his very own version of Spider-Man. The new comic, Miles Morales: Spider-Man by Bryan Edward Hill with art by Nico Leon, allows Miles to come into his own.

Miles Morales: Spider-Man highlights aspects of Miles Morales that make him the best new Spider-Man and the ways in which he is a different hero. In a preview of the new issue, Valentina and Miles are working on a project together; he uses his intelligence to impress her. She’s also a highly intelligent person, and it leads to the two of them having a cute back-and-forth, intercut with Miles trying to find the best way he can to be Spider-Man for New York. And that does include saving a construction worker.

Queens, New York

🕷️ Spider-Man

You carry the weight of the world on shoulders that are younger than they should have to be — funny, loyal, and endlessly self-sacrificing.

  • You do the right thing not because it’s easy, but because no one else will.
  • You understand that responsibility isn’t a burden you choose — it’s one that finds you.
  • Whether it’s a neighbourhood mugging or a multiverse crisis, you show up.
  • Peter Parker’s lesson — that great power demands great responsibility — isn’t a slogan to you. It’s the code you live by, even when it costs you everything.

Hell’s Kitchen, New York

😈 Daredevil

You fight in the shadows between law and chaos, guided by a fierce moral compass that refuses to let the guilty walk free.

  • You use every tool available — your mind, your body, your faith — to protect those the system overlooks.
  • You’ve looked into the darkness and chosen not to become it, though the line has never been easy.
  • Matt Murdock’s duality — champion in the courtroom, devil in the alley — mirrors your own.
  • Relentless, conflicted, and unwilling to stop. That is exactly you.

Stark Industries, Malibu

🤖 Iron Man

Brilliant, driven, and occasionally insufferable — but always the person who solves the unsolvable problem.

  • You lead with your mind and back it up with resources, innovation, and a stubbornness that borders on heroic.
  • You started out looking out for yourself, but somewhere along the way the world became your responsibility.
  • Tony Stark’s arc — from ego to sacrifice — is your arc too.
  • You build, you plan, and when the moment comes, you’re willing to give everything. Because in the end, you’re Iron Man.

New York City

💀 The Punisher

You’ve been through fire that would break most people — and it did change you, completely. What’s left is unyielding, relentless, and operating by a code forged in grief.

  • You don’t ask for forgiveness, and you don’t expect gratitude.
  • You see a corrupt, broken world and you’ve decided to do something about it, consequences be damned.
  • Frank Castle’s war is born from love twisted by loss — and so is yours.
  • Uncompromising and unflinching — the world may not agree with your methods, but your conviction is absolute.

Asgard · Protector of the Nine Realms

⚡ Thor

Powerful, proud, and on a lifelong journey to become worthy of the legend you carry.

  • You lead with strength but have learned — sometimes painfully — that true greatness comes from humility and growth.
  • You’re larger than life, yet more vulnerable than you let on.
  • Thor’s story is one of transformation: from arrogant prince to worthy king, from isolated warrior to beloved protector.
  • You bring the storm when it’s needed — and the warmth when it matters just as much.

Brooklyn, New York · The Avengers

🛡️ Captain America

You believe in something bigger than yourself — and you fight for it even when the world has moved on and nobody else will.

  • You don’t bully the small guy, and you never stop when it gets hard.
  • Steve Rogers didn’t become a hero when he got the serum — he was always one. So were you.
  • Your strength isn’t in your fists; it’s in your refusal to compromise what’s right, no matter the cost.
  • In a world full of people taking the easy road, you’re the one who picks up the shield and stands up — every single time.

Anyone Can Wear the Mask But Who Is the Best?

The debate over the best Spider-Man ranges from talking about Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland to the characters who take on the mantle. But the reality is that every Spider-Man has something to offer fans. With Miles Morales, he’s our new young hero who is still trying to figure out what being Spider-Man means to him, in the same way that Peter did when he first started. Miles Morales: Spider-Man allows fans to enter this journey with Miles and delivers a fresh take on a beloved hero.

You can see Miles in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and in Miles Morales: Spider-Man when it hits shelves this week.

Demi Lovato Reunites With Ex Joe Jonas for Camp Rock 3

They rock! Demi Lovato reunited with her ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas and the Jonas Brothers to celebrate the upcoming premiere of Disney’s Camp Rock 3.

Lovato, 33, posed with Joe, 36, and his brothers Kevin Jonas and Nick Jonas at Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, California, on Monday, August 10, for the world premiere of their Disney Channel original movie. (Lovato starred in the original Camp Rock films as Mitchie Torres while the Jonas Brothers played members of fictional band Connect 3.)

The Jonas Brothers produced Camp Rock 3 alongside Lovato, in addition to reprising their onscreen roles alongside Wizards of Waverly Place’s Maria Canals-Barrera as Connie Torres, the director of a summer music camp. (Joe and Lovato dated in 2010 and have since become close friends.)

The long-awaited sequel introduces Liamani Segura (Descendants: Wicked Wonderland), newcomer Hudson Stone and Malachi Barton (Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires) as the next generation of Camp Rock campers.

Disney’s musical comedy revolves around Connect 3 returning to Camp Rock to find an opening act for their tour when their previous choice backs out at the eleventh hour.

A synopsis reads, “As campers vie for the chance to open for their favorite band, tensions rise and friendships are tested, leading to unexpected alliances, revelations, and romances. Camp Rock’s all-new campers include bold and determined Sage (Segura) and her easygoing brother, Desi (Stone); cello prodigy Rosie (Lumi Pollack); drummer with his own beat Cliff (Casey Trotter); choreo queen Callie (Brooklynn Pitts); intimidating influencer Madison (Ava Jean); and camp bad boy Fletch (Barton).”

Earlier this year, Lovato opened up on the “Not Gonna Lie” podcast about giving the Camp Rock 3 cast the advice she wished she’d received as a budding Disney Channel star.

“I wish that I had gotten advice, and I think it would have saved me a lot of trial and errors, like, figuring out s*** my own kind of thing,” Lovato initially explained in the January podcast episode. “I’m grateful for the path I’ve had without a mentor [and] without advice from others. I would love to be a mentor to somebody and guide someone through the journey that I went on.

She noted, “There’s no manual on how to be a pop star, and there’s certain things I would tell [them].”

Lovato later elaborated specifically on the “mini pep talk” she gave the young stars of Camp Rock 3 when they initially met.

“I met them as a group and I was, like, ‘Hey guys,’ and I gave them some advice like, ‘Don’t be afraid to ask for time off, like, take care of yourself first,” she remembered. “It’s really important that you take care of your mental health so you can do the other things you want to do, like performing and acting.’”

She stressed, “‘If you don’t have your mental health or if you get burnt out, that can all go away. It’s important to take care of yourself.’”

Camp Rock 3 premieres on the Disney Channel Thursday, August 13, at 8 p.m. ET and debuts on Disney+ the following day.

30 Greatest Movies About Mother-Son Relationships, Ranked

Published

on

Joe with blood splattered on his face and his hands up in surrender in 'You Were Never Really Here.'

Father-daughter relationships in movies are fairly common in film, with some of the most touching and profound movies properly reflecting on the poignant connection. However, mother-son bonds are seemingly less discussed in cinema and are arguably more complex in the instances where they are, as seen in films like Hereditary and the science fiction franchise Dune.

Most portrayals of mother-son bonds in pictures depict layered and sometimes even challenging connections. However, there are also exceptional movies that showcase healthy and loving relationships between mothers and sons. As such, we invite readers to take a look at some of the best movies about mother-son relationships, ranking these films based on their quality and analyzing the special connections they portray.

Joaquin Phoenix as Joe with blood splattered on his face and his hands up in surrender in ‘You Were Never Really Here.’

You Were Never Really Here is a brutal modern neo-noir thriller in which Joaquin Phoenix gives one of his greatest performances as Joe, a veteran of the Gulf War who has found a new life in New York City as a vigilante who rescues young girls from being trafficked. Joe’s mother is played by Judith Roberts, and she provides the only tangible, emotional bond within his life as he wrestles with dark thoughts and suicidal ideation.

You Were Never Really Here is a complex morality tale because it shows Joe’s selflessness within his decision to protect his elderly mother, despite the fact that he is otherwise a loner. The tender relationship between the two characters is best identified through the brilliant musical score by Jonny Greenwood, who offered a poignant aura of peacefulness within an otherwise ruthless R-rated crime thriller. —Liam Gaughan

‘Beau is Afraid’ (2023)

Beau is Afraid is not the first Ari Aster film to deal with complex depictions of mother-son dynamics, but it might be the weirdest. Joaquin Phoenix gives his strangest, most ridiculous performance to date as Beau, a self-loathing, immature loner who tries to visit his mother Mona Wassermann (Patti LuPone) in what becomes a dangerous and absurd journey across an apocalyptic America.

Beau is Afraid is just as polarizing as everything else that Aster has made, so it shouldn’t be surprising that it is destined to be a cult classic because of all the subtle thematic subtext and symbolism that is packed in. It’s by far one of the weirdest mainstream films to be released in the past decade, and the fact that Aster is continuously able to make such disturbing and thought-provoking features is a win for film fans everywhere. —Liam Gaughan

Marvin’s Room is a heartfelt family drama about a complex dynamic of sisters, mothers, siblings, and redemption. Meryl Streep stars as a single mother who tries to take care of her two sons, played by Leonardo DiCaprio and Hal Scardino, while reconnecting with her sister (Diane Keaton) after many years apart.

Marvin’s Room is unabashedly sentimental and catches all of its stars at an interesting point in their respective careers. Streep being vulnerability and pathos to the role of a complex mother who struggles to drift beyond her family legacy, DiCaprio has an early breakthrough role as a teenager dealing with significant mental health issues, and Keaton delivers a deeply moving Oscar-nominated performance as a woman who seeks to make up for lost time as she reaches the end of her life; it’s a feat of acting that is bound to be more powerful in the wake of her recent passing. —Liam Gaughan

‘Only God Forgives’ (2013)

Ryan Gosling Hands Up In 'Only God Forgives'

Only God Forgives was a polarizing film from Nicolas Winding Refn, who reunited with Ryan Gosling after the success of Drive to make a stylized, hypnotic crime thriller that divided audiences when it debuted at the Cannes Film Festival in 2013. Gosling stars as an underworld criminal in Japan who decides to seek vengeance for the death of his brother (Tom Burke) at the urging of his mother (Kristin Scott Thomas), who is a force of pure chaos.

Only God Forgives offers a commentary on violence by showing how a deeply misguided, troubled man is under the domain of a parent who treats him like property. There is a tremendous amount of dark comedy, as Thomas gives a wild performance that works within the ridiculous and sensationalist pulpy atmosphere that Refn created. The film’s Oedipal themes make it even more disturbing. —Liam Gaughan

‘Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore’ (1974)

Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore was an early film from Martin Scorsese that won Ellen Burstyn the Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance as a single mother who attempts to raise her son (Alfred Lutter) as she works shifts as a waitress. Although there’s a tremendously charming performance by Kris Kristofferson as her love interest, Burstyn’s performance is what makes the film so effective, and it proved that Scorsese is one of the more underrated feminist directors to emerge from the New Hollywood era.

Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore holds up because it offered a demystified, grounded depiction of working-class life that thoughtfully represented the experiences of single mothers. While it felt like a slice of real life when it made its debut in 1974, Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore now stands as a beautiful representation of American life from 50 years ago. —Liam Gaughan

‘American Gangster’ (2007)

Ridley Scott’s well-directed crime drama counts on great performances and an interesting narrative. The story centers on an outcast in New York City (Russell Crowe) charged with bringing down Harlem drug lord Frank Lucas (Denzel Washington), the man who inspired this semi-biographical movie.

Washington’s impeccable efforts are one of the best aspects of this Ridley Scott picture, though the supporting cast is also excellent (Ruby Dee, who plays Mama Lucas, even earned an Oscar nod for her role). Although the mother-son relationship at American Gangster‘s center is not the most prominent aspect, the bond between the two certainly plays a role in the film, representing family values and integrity. It is evident that Ruby Dee’s character is a central one and an anchor in Frank’s life, with her disapproval of his choices being a turning point for the character.

Perfect for fans of psychological dramas who haven’t yet watched this iconic 2000s cult classic, Richard Kelly’s Donnie Darko stars Jake Gyllenhaal and follows a troubled teenager plagued by visions of a man in a large rabbit suit who manipulates him to commit a series of crimes.

This captivating watch sustains its surrealist mood throughout, delivering a thoughtful message about fear, depression, sexuality, and identity. Family dynamics also play a poignant role in its narrative, particularly Donnie’s relationship with his mother, Rose (Mary McDonnell). While Donnie Darko is not inherently a movie that solely focuses on a mother-son relationship, it offers a nuanced portrayal of the bond between Donnie and his mother, contributing to the film being regarded as a compelling exploration of the bond between the two.

The ‘Dune’ Franchise (2021–Present)

After two flawless entries, Denis Villeneuve‘s science fiction hit Dune has proven to be one of the most promising film franchises. With memorable characters and an intriguing plot, this book-to-screen adaptation tells the story of Timothée Chalamet’s Paul Atreides, a brilliant and seemingly gifted young man who is born into a great destiny beyond. His mother, played by Rebecca Ferguson, helps him find his fate.

Both Dune installments are unforgettable for plenty of reasons, including their absorbing storyline, astounding sound, and striking cinematography. However, the bond shared between its characters also stands out, particularly between Jessica and Paul. Jessica is an integral figure in her son’s rise to power, so their relationship, although incredibly flawed and even toxic at times, is also a key aspect of the movie.

‘Psycho’ (1960)

Anthony Perkins as Norman in Psycho looking sinister while smirking.

Alfred Hitchcock‘s Psycho is one of the filmmaker’s most famous works, and it is not difficult to understand why. The masterfully directed black-and-white 1960 picture centers on Marion Crane (Janet Leigh), a secretary on the run for embezzlement who takes refuge at an isolated California motel owned by a shy man (Anthony Perkins) and his mother, with terrifying consequences.

Psycho — the first adaptation of the 1959 novel of the same name — is a perfect horror thriller by the legendary director. Through its fantastic build of tension and suspense, the masterful movie has revolutionized the horror genre and continues to influence several films in the category to this day. Although the film does not showcase the relationship between the two, it is clear that the protagonist’s mother holds power over him. After all, there would be no Norman Bates without Norma Bates.

‘Jojo Rabbit’ (2019)

One of the most emotionally devastating World War II movies is told from the perspective of a ten-year-old boy named Johannes “Jojo” Betzler (Roman Griffin Davis) living in Nazi Germany during the later stages of the war with his mother Rosie (Scarlett Johansson). Their life takes a wild turn when Rosie hides a Jewish girl in their home.

Taika Waititi‘s Oscar-winning Best Picture nominee is a remarkable film (though possibly not to everyone’s taste, considering the comic way it deals with sensitive themes), anchored by incredible acting efforts and striking cinematography that contrasts with the dark times it is set in. Still, one of Jojo Rabbit‘s strongest aspects is the positive, even if tear-jerking, bond shared between Johannes and Rosie.

Star Wars Officially Continues ‘The Last Jedi’ With a New Spin-Off

Published

on

star-wars_-episode-viii-the-last-jedi-poster.jpg

Star Wars: The Last Jedi ended with one of the biggest power shifts in the sequel trilogy. Supreme Leader Snoke was dead, Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) had seized control of the First Order, and the Resistance had been reduced to a handful of survivors escaping Crait aboard the Millennium Falcon. By the time audiences caught up with Kylo again in The Rise of Skywalker, however, his reign was already well underway. That left a sizable chapter of Kylo Ren’s story largely unexplored. We knew he had declared himself Supreme Leader after killing Snoke, but the movies never really showed what happened when he returned to the First Order and actually had to claim that authority. Now, Star Wars is finally returning to the immediate aftermath of The Last Jedi to show exactly how Kylo Ren’s reign began.

Marvel’s new five-issue series Star Wars: The Fall of Kylo Ren, written by Charles Soule with art by Will Sliney, follows Kylo Ren during the period between The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker. A new preview of the first issue reveals that Kylo returns to the First Order after surviving a major ordeal and immediately finds that Snoke’s death has left considerably more instability behind than he may have expected.

The preview opens with Kylo traveling aboard his TIE Silencer, reflecting on the trials that have prepared him to move forward and “meet his destiny.” He soon contacts the Finalizer and makes his new position perfectly clear, identifying himself as the Supreme Leader and ordering the ship to prepare for his arrival. Things aren’t exactly going well in his absence. At Hetzal Prime, General Hux and Admiral Pryde are overseeing a battle that threatens the Finalizer itself. Hux is already clashing with Pryde, threatening to strip the admiral of his rank if he doesn’t get into position within sixty seconds. Pryde responds with open contempt for Hux, suggesting the cracks Kylo later identifies within the First Order were already becoming impossible to ignore.

Arrakis · Dune

Paul Atreides

You carry a weight most people would crumble under — the knowledge of what you’re capable of, and the burden of what you might have to become.

  • You see further ahead than others and you plan accordingly, even when the vision frightens you.
  • You are driven by loyalty to your people and a sense of destiny you didn’t ask for but can’t escape.
  • Paul Atreides is not simply a hero — he is someone who understands the cost of power and chooses to bear it anyway.
  • That gravity, that willingness to carry what others won’t, is exactly you.

USS Enterprise · Star Trek

Captain Kirk

You lead with instinct, warmth, and an absolute refusal to accept a no-win scenario — because you’ve always believed there’s a third option nobody else has thought of yet.

  • You take the mission seriously without ever taking yourself too seriously.
  • Your crew would follow you anywhere, not because you demand it, but because you’ve earned it.
  • Kirk’s genius isn’t tactical — it’s human. He reads people, bends rules with purpose, and wills outcomes into existence through sheer conviction.
  • That combination of warmth, audacity, and relentless optimism is unmistakably yours.

The Rebellion · Star Wars

Princess Leia

You are the kind of person who holds the line when everyone else is losing faith — not because you’re fearless, but because giving up simply isn’t something you’re capable of.

  • You lead through conviction. Your voice carries because your belief is unshakeable.
  • You gave up everything ordinary the moment you chose the cause, and you’ve never looked back.
  • Leia is not a supporting character in her own story — she is the moral centre of the entire rebellion.
  • That same fierce, principled, unbreakable core is what defines you.

The Nostromo · Alien

Ellen Ripley

You are not reckless, not grandiose, and not particularly interested in being anyone’s hero — you just refuse to stop when it matters.

  • You see threats clearly, you document the truth even when no one listens, and when the time comes you handle it yourself.
  • Ripley’s heroism is earned, not performed. She doesn’t have a speech — she has a flamethrower and a plan.
  • You share her composure under the worst possible pressure, and her refusal to pretend the monster isn’t there.
  • When it counts, you don’t flinch. That’s everything.

The Wasteland · Mad Max

Max Rockatansky

You have been through fire that would break most people — and what came out the other side is something the world underestimates at its peril.

  • You don’t ask for help, don’t need validation, and don’t wait for anyone to tell you the rules no longer apply.
  • Your loyalty, when it finally arrives, is absolute — but it’s earned in silence and tested in action, not in words.
  • Max is not a nihilist. He is someone who lost everything and found, against his will, that he still has something worth protecting.
  • That bruised, stubborn, ultimately human core is exactly yours.

‘The Fall of Kylo Ren’ Picks Up After ‘The Last Jedi’

Kylo’s arrival quickly changes the situation. When enemy soldiers board the Finalizer, he tears through them with his lightsaber before ordering the First Order fleet to retreat from the battle entirely. It’s a striking introduction to Kylo as Supreme Leader because he’s walking into an organization that is already struggling to function without its former leader. When Hux and Pryde welcome him back, Kylo isn’t interested in celebrating his return. He tells them that the First Order, once the most powerful military force in the galaxy, has become “a disgrace.” More importantly, he says he can sense the disunity spreading through its ranks.

That immediately puts a different spin on the version of the First Order seen in The Rise of Skywalker. Kylo may have technically become Supreme Leader aboard Snoke’s flagship in The Last Jedi, but killing his master was only the beginning; actually controlling the enormous military organization Snoke left behind was another matter entirely. The preview also puts Hux and Pryde’s eventual roles in The Rise of Skywalker into sharper focus. Hux’s resentment of Kylo ultimately becomes so intense that he betrays the First Order simply because he wants to see Kylo lose, while Pryde proves considerably more loyal to the cause. The Fall of Kylo Ren now has an opportunity to show how those divisions developed during Kylo’s rise.

Soule has already explored crucial pieces of Kylo Ren’s history in The Rise of Kylo Ren, which chronicled Ben Solo’s transformation following the destruction of Luke Skywalker’s Jedi Temple. The Fall of Kylo Ren tackles the other end of that story. Instead of showing how Ben Solo became Kylo Ren, the new series can finally explore what happened when Kylo got everything he thought he wanted. That’s an especially interesting missing piece considering how little time The Rise of Skywalker spends with Kylo as Supreme Leader before Emperor Palpatine’s return changes the direction of his story. The Last Jedi leaves him at the absolute height of his power, having killed Snoke, rejected both the Jedi and Sith masters who shaped him, and taken the First Order for himself. The next movie largely skips over what he actually did with that power.

The Fall of Kylo Ren is finally filling in that blank when it releases on August 12.

Decorated with micro floral motifs, the swimwear choice quickly caught my eye, sending me on a search for something similar. Luckily, I found an Amazon lookalike that costs just $24.

While the eye-catching print is nearly identical, the inspired-by version might be even more polished than the original, boasting a fuller-coverage design and supportive criss-cross back straps. It also includes luxe gold hardware, which adds an expensive touch.

Still, I’d be remiss to neglect the rich fabric. The fully-lined set is soft and stretchy, quickly drying after a dip in the pool. Even better? The material sculpts and defines, creating an hourglass silhouette that lifts, smooths and tucks.

Some bags are trendy for a season. Others quietly become the kind you reach for every single day because they make everything in your closet look a little more polished. Nicole Kidman’s latest black purse falls firmly into the second category — timeless, versatile and somehow able to elevate even a simple jeans-and-sneakers outfit.

The Oscar winner was spotted in New York City on July 30, wearing a crisp white button-up layered under a gray blazer with classic blue jeans and Adidas sneakers. Tucked under her arm was an elegant black Chanel shoulder bag with a peek of bold red lining, proving that even the most understated accessories can make the biggest statement. The catch? Her designer version comes with an eye-watering $8,300 price tag.

Thankfully, you don’t need a celebrity budget to recreate the look. We found a remarkably similar Dokotoo shoulder bag on Amazon for nearly 99% less, complete with the same sleek black exterior, striking red interior and polished gold-tone hardware that gives Kidman’s bag its luxe feel.

Made from premium PU leather, the structured carryall features two sturdy top handles, a roomy interior, a side zippered pocket and a removable makeup pouch secured with dual clasps. It’s practical enough for work, travel or everyday errands, but polished enough to pass for something far more expensive. If black isn’t your style, it also comes in brown, cream, pink, lavender and several other shades.

The affordable find has earned more than 1,300 five-star ratings, with shoppers praising the thoughtful details. One reviewer said the gold-tone hardware gives it “a classy, luxurious touch,” while the red interior “adds the perfect pop of color.” Another called out its “sturdy craftsmanship” and “spacious interior,” adding that they originally bought it for work but now “want to show it off” everywhere they go.

Like Kidman’s designer original, it’s the kind of bag that works with everything, from tailored blazers and denim to dresses and loafers. Taylor Sheridan’s No. 1 Spy Thriller Is Officially Free to Watch

Published

on

Zoe Saldaña in Lioness Season 3

2026 has been a benchmark year for Taylor Sheridan so far, as he’s expanded the Yellowstone universe with several new shows while the baseline Kevin Costner-led series continues to shine on Peacock and Paramount+. Sheridan brought back Luke Grimes to play Kayce Dutton in Marshals, the CBS procedural series that was maligned by critics and fans, but still received enough viewers to warrant a Season 2 renewal. CBS has already confirmed that Marshals Season 2 is coming out on October 4. Sheridan also produced another Yellowstone spin-off, Dutton Ranch, starring Cole Hauser as Rip Wheeler and Kelly Reilly as Beth Dutton. Dutton Ranch was met with a much more welcoming reception than Marshals, and it’s also been renewed for Season 2, though there’s no word yet on when it will be released.

Sheridan has new seasons of other popular shows like Tulsa King (starring Sylvester Stallone) and Landman (starring Billy Bob Thornton) in the works, but only the former is expected to be released in 2026. Sheridan’s latest streaming obsession is the third season of Lioness, which premiered about a week ago and has easily claimed the #1 spot in the world on Paramount+. For fans who don’t have a Paramount+ subscription but think they might be interested in Lioness, the first three episodes of the show are available to watch for free on Prime Video. Lioness is a dark ops spy thriller featuring some big names like Zoe Saldaña, Nicole Kidman, and Morgan Freeman, and it’s perfect for fans of Sheridan’s other thrillers like Sicario. He also brings the neo-Western nature of other shows like Yellowstone to all three seasons of Lioness.

Mayor of Kingstown

You are a Dutton — or you might as well be. You understand that some things are worth protecting at any cost, and that the modern world’s indifference to history, to land, to legacy, is not something you’re willing to accept quietly. You lead from the front, you carry your family’s weight without complaint, and when someone threatens what’s yours, you don’t escalate — you finish it. You’re not cruel. But you are absolute. In Yellowstone’s world, that combination of ferocity and loyalty doesn’t make you a villain. It makes you the only thing standing between everything that matters and everyone who wants to take it.

You thrive in the chaos of high-stakes negotiation, where the money is enormous, the margins are thin, and the wrong word in the wrong room can cost everyone everything. You’re a fixer — the person called when a situation is already on fire and needs someone with the nerve to walk into it. West Texas oil country rewards exactly what you are: sharp, adaptable, unsentimental, and absolutely clear-eyed about what people want and what they’ll do to get it. You’re not naive enough to think this world is fair. You’re smart enough to be the one deciding who it’s fair to.

You are a Dwight Manfredi — someone who has served their time, paid their dues, and arrived somewhere unexpected with nothing but their reputation and their wits. You adapt without losing yourself. You build loyalty through respect rather than fear, though you’re not above reminding people that the two aren’t mutually exclusive. Tulsa King is for people who are still standing when everyone assumed they’d be finished — who find, in an unfamiliar place, that they’re more capable than the world gave them credit for. You don’t need a throne. You build one, wherever you happen to land.

You carry the weight of a system that is broken by design, and you do it anyway — because someone has to, and because you’re the only one positioned to do it without the whole thing collapsing. Mike McLusky’s world is for people who are comfortable operating where there are no good options, only less catastrophic ones. You speak every language: law enforcement, criminal, political, human. That fluency makes you invaluable and it makes you a target. You’ve made your peace with both. Mayor of Kingstown belongs to people who understand that keeping the peace is not the same as being at peace — and who do the job regardless.

Is ‘Lioness’ Getting a Season 4?

Paramount has yet to decide the fate of Lioness beyond Season 3. It took two years to get the third season of Lioness to streaming, and with it being the most ambitious season yet — and we know Sheridan doesn’t go backwards, only forwards — it’s a safe bet that a potential Season 4 would be even bigger and require just as much time, if not more, to make. There are reports claiming that Zoe Saldaña originally signed a three-season deal when she agreed to play Joe in Lioness, and it’s yet to be reported or confirmed if she has re-upped her deal or if this will be the final season.

Kim Kardashian’s Mansion Rocked By Bizarre Burglary Scare

Published

on

Kim Kardashian at World Premiere of All's Fair

Kim Kardashian’s multimillion-dollar Hidden Hills mansion became the scene of a startling break-in after an alleged intruder reportedly turned the property into the starting point for a neighborhood joyride.

Deputies rushed to the residence Sunday afternoon after receiving reports of a suspect breaking into the home and taking items.

The incident ultimately led to an arrest, though Kardashian herself was not believed to be at the property when the alleged theft occurred.

Deputies from the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station were called to Kim Kardashian’s residence at approximately 3:45 p.m. on Sunday after receiving reports that a man had allegedly entered the property and was removing belongings.

When law enforcement arrived, they reportedly found a male suspect at the home and arrested him on suspicion of burglary and vehicle theft.

A source close to Kardashian told The Post that the vehicle allegedly taken by the suspect did not belong to the reality star, but to one of her staff members.

Authorities said the man drove the vehicle around the neighborhood before being apprehended and subsequently taken to jail, where he was booked on suspicion of burglary.

Thankfully, Kardashian and her children were reportedly not at the mansion when the incident occurred.

The circumstances surrounding the alleged break-in remain under investigation. LASD Sgt. Chris Sonderlund told the outlet, “It’s still under investigation, and we’re still in the preliminary stage.”

Kardashian Seeks Protection From Alleged Stalker

The latest alleged security concern at Kim Kardashian’s $60 million Malibu property is not the first time the reality star has faced unwanted attention from someone attempting to get close to her.

In July 2026, TMZ reported that Kardashian sought to extend a restraining order against Nicholas Costanza, whom she accused of repeatedly violating the existing order by contacting her on social media.

According to court documents, the socialite said Costanza’s “delusional beliefs, anger and obsession have not improved” since the original order was issued in 2021.

She claimed he had directed approximately 80 tweets at her, calling himself her “soulmate” and saying they were supposed to start a family.

Kardashian also alleged that he unlawfully entered a house he claimed he had bought with her in September 2024.

She originally obtained protection after saying Costanza sent her a package containing Plan B and a diamond ring. Her lawyers asked for the order to be extended for five years and expanded to cover members of her family.

Months before the stalker incident, Kardashian stunned the public when she revealed that investigators had allegedly warned her about a threat coming from someone within her inner circle.

In the Season 7 trailer for “The Kardashians,” she said per Page Six, “I got a call from investigators. Someone extremely close to me put a hit out on my life.”

Kardashian appeared visibly shaken in the footage and later said she was “terrified out of my mind.”

The trailer suggested the situation had unsettled other members of her family as well, with Kendall Jenner saying, “Everybody’s kinda on edge,” while Kylie Jenner said, “I heard footsteps walking into my room.”

Kardashian eventually described herself as relieved, saying, “I’m happy it’s over.”

Concerns about Kim Kardashian’s safety have also extended beyond people directly approaching her, particularly when someone’s alleged behavior toward another celebrity raised alarms for her.

As The Blast reported in 2024, the 45-year-old sought a restraining order against Melvin Jeffery Conley after her friend and “American Horror Story: Delicate” co-star Emma Roberts warned her about him.

According to Kardashian’s court filing, Conley had allegedly broken into Roberts’ California home in May and used the residence’s landline to call Roberts’ cellphone.

The media personality said Roberts subsequently told her that Conley wanted to make contact with her and her children.

The alleged encounters then moved closer to Kardashian. Conley reportedly appeared at Kris Jenner’s home, telling security that he was Kardashian’s “long-time manager” and claiming he had an appointment with her.

She also alleged that he later tracked down her Malibu property, despite saying its location was not publicized, and was confronted by security after allegedly threatening to jump the fence.

The concerns surrounding Kardashian’s home security had already prompted court action before the Emma Roberts-linked incident.

Nearly two years prior, Kardashian obtained a five-year restraining order against Andre Persaud after alleging that he had appeared at her home at least three times in August of that year.

According to court documents, Persaud allegedly told Kardashian’s security that he was armed, while Kardashian said he had also written about her online and claimed they were communicating “telepathically.”

The situation reportedly did not stop at her home. Kardashian said Persaud attempted to gain access to her hotel during a trip to New York and had obtained her address through a realtor connected to one of her sisters.

A judge ultimately barred Persaud from contacting Kardashian or coming within 100 yards of her for five years. He was also prohibited from possessing firearms and ordered to surrender any weapons to authorities.

Davina Potratz’s ‘Fakeness’ Claim About ‘Selling Sunset’ Co-Star

Published

on

Davina Potratz at Affinity Nightlife Presents Emmy Awards After Party In Los Angeles, United States

Davina Potratz is pulling back the curtain on “Selling Sunset,” claiming viewers did not always receive the complete picture of its explosive confrontations and complicated friendships. The former cast member, who left the Netflix reality series after Season 4, also named Chrishell Stause as the co-star who she believes behaved most differently once filming began.

Speaking exclusively to Smooth Spins Casino, Potratz discussed the show’s production process, scenes she believes were edited unfairly, and the friendships that survived after she stepped away.

When asked which cast member surprised her most during filming, Potratz singled out Stause and accused her of presenting a different personality on camera. “I would say Chrishell was very different on and off camera,” she said. “Fakeness personally rubs me up the wrong way, and when someone is extremely removed from how they are when the cameras are rolling, it’s irritating.”

Potratz also claimed that several cast members avoided voicing their true opinions because they feared receiving the same kind of backlash she experienced. “It takes a little while to figure a person out. But I think in general, a lot of people in the cast did not speak their mind,” she explained. “They were likely afraid because of what they saw happen to me when I did. People would just agree with things they didn’t necessarily agree with.”

Offering her assessment of Stause away from filming, Potratz alleged that her former co-star sometimes displayed “attitude” toward members of the production crew. “She had some attitude from the beginning, which I didn’t like. She had different attitudes with the crew, which I didn’t love,” Potratz claimed. “We spent a lot of time with the cameramen and got along great, and she would sometimes be sassy. I didn’t respect that.”

‘Selling Sunset’ Alum Says Christine Quinn’s Wedding Scene Was Heavily Edited

One of Potratz’s most controversial moments unfolded during Christine Quinn’s wedding, when she challenged Stause about her divorce from Justin Hartley. Looking back, Potratz claimed the final edit removed comments that would have given viewers more context.

“It was definitely edited. Maybe it ran too long and production was forced to cut things out, but viewers didn’t see the whole picture,” she said. “Maya and Heather were defending me, but their comments were muted out. On top of that, music was layered over the scene, and a lot of the conversation was edited down, so it came across like I was just relentlessly coming at her. That’s not really how it happened.”

Potratz said she was attempting to establish that there were two perspectives to the breakup, but felt Stause allowed the uncomfortable exchange to continue because she understood how it could appear on television.

“Chrishell had more experience in TV, and fair play to her. She wasn’t exactly stopping the conversation. She’d say, ‘It’s okay, keep going,’ and she’d nod along. She was baiting me,” Potratz alleged. “Looking back, it was smart of her. She wasn’t stopping it. It felt like she knew what was going to happen and took advantage of me in that scene.”

Davina Potratz Reveals How Filming Really Worked

According to Potratz, cast members often received little advance notice about what they would be filming or who might appear in a scene. “We’d usually get an email by about 9 pm the night before telling us what we were filming the next day,” she recalled.

The schedule might include an office meeting and dinner, requiring the agents to plan multiple outfits, hair and makeup. However, Potratz claimed producers kept enough details secret to preserve spontaneous reactions.

“You’d maybe call the person you were filming with and ask, ‘What are you wearing? Who do you think is coming?’ But you never really knew who would be there or what was going to happen, so there wasn’t much planning you could do,” she explained.

Potratz said the cast would speak with producers before filming but generally would not discuss the scene with one another beforehand. As a result, she maintained that the emotions captured by the cameras were genuine, even if the resulting footage was later condensed for television.

She Claims Her Confrontation With Emma Hernan Never Aired

Potratz also revealed that she once considered Emma Hernan a close friend, although viewers were never shown their bond. “Emma and I were actually very close friends, but nobody knew that,” she said. “That was my issue with it because it felt like, ‘You want to be best friends behind the scenes, but then you’re a different person on camera.’”

She claimed that she eventually confronted Hernan while filming, but the exchange was cut from the series. “When I started piecing everything together, I was really shocked and really offended. I actually called her out on camera, but it never made the show,” Potratz shared. “Chrishell came to her rescue, and I remember thinking, ‘You’ll see who she really is.’ Sure enough, she did.”

Potratz said she was therefore not surprised when Stause and Hernan later experienced problems in their own friendship.

Despite the numerous relationships that deteriorated during or after the show, Potratz said her friendships with Quinn and Maya Vander have endured.

“Maya and I are still really close, and Christine and I are really close. Those friendships were always real,” she revealed. “What people saw, whether it was loyalty or arguments, was authentic.”

Why Chrissy Metz Turned To Ozempic After Being A Skeptic

Published

on

Chrissy Metz is all smiles while outside of ABC Studios

“This Is Us” star Chrissy Metz recently opened up about why she began using a GLP-1 after years of being a self-proclaimed skeptic. During a new interview, the Netflix actress spoke candidly about her body and the struggles she’s faced after years of trying to lose weight. However, after having a thoughtful conversation with her friend, she decided it was time to finally give the drug a try.

Speaking with E! News, Metz told the outlet that she recently changed her mindset about GLP-1 and popular brands like Ozempic after years of doubts. “I was very skeptical of starting a GLP-1 for a very long time,” she said.

As she continued, Metz noted that she’s questioned the drug and its effectiveness for six years, stating that her worries really began around the COVID-19 pandemic. One of the reasons Metz stayed away from the drug is because she’s “very diligent” about what goes into her body. “I’m like, ‘Oh, I don’t know what that’s gonna be like,’” she said.

Metz had a change of heart, however, after speaking candidly with a friend who had done “very thorough” research about the drug. Following the conversation, Metz said she realized a GLP-1 “might be something I should look into.”

According to Metz, she’s been on diets for as long as she can remember. “And I know I can lose weight,” she said before saying that the GLP-1 helped with other challenges, such as quieting “food noise.”

On top of that, Metz struggled with the idea of using the drug for weight loss for several other reasons. “There’s so much shame around being in a bigger body, so just knowing that I wasn’t doing it purely for vanity’s sake, but because people are pressuring me, or I should, or shouldn’t, do that,” she said.

How Has Using A GLP-1 Helped Chrissy Metz?

Metz’s newfound affinity for GLP-1s and similar weight-loss drugs led her to collab with Ro, the digital health company that also partners with Serena Williams. Elsewhere during her interview, Metz said that Ro has also been quite helpful with other challenges, such as inflammation.

“It’s helped with just overall health lab work and blood work,” she also said, “and just generally just an overall feeling of space and creativity that the food noise has quieted. It opens up just more ability to be present and for me to be more creative and to really spend my time with the show and not obsessing about food noise that I didn’t even know was a thing, which is crazy.”

Metz is just one of the celebrities who have opened up about using a GLP-1 for weight loss. As she reflected on her personal choice, she said she hoped that taking the leap would motivate others to overcome the mental hurdle as well.

“I hope that it really opens up conversation,” she said. “Because I think there are people who, not even with medication, but want to try things in their life, but are afraid of what people are going to say, and don’t do it, and perhaps don’t find the life that they want, or the joy that they want or deserve because we’re so transfixed on what people think about our choices.”

As she finished, Metz emphasized that she was a longtime skeptic turned believer. “I was like, ‘No, no, no, no, no.’ So, I hope it enlightens people to an option that might be right for them,” she said.

One celebrity who wasn’t a fan of Ozempic and GLP-1 shots, though, was Kris Jenner. According to The Blast, the momager and well-known reality TV star revealed in May 2026 that while she tried the drug when it first began making headlines, it made her sick and nauseous.

Kris, however, did find an alternative: a peptide injection. The 70-year-old said she began following that injection up with supplements, such as fish oils and omega-3s. As she continued, she called her new routine a “game changer.”

Ariana Grande Makes Low-Key Appearance Amid Spotlight Break

Published

31st Annual Critics Choice Awards

Ariana Grande has stepped back into public view for the first time since announcing plans to take a break from the spotlight, drawing attention to her low-key appearance in New York City.

The pop star was photographed bundled up in her own tour merchandise during the outing, with her casual ensemble standing in contrast to the glamorous looks often associated with her public appearances.

Ariana’s sighting comes amid scrutiny over her appearance, while her decision to step away from the public eye continues to spark debate across social media.

Ariana Grande appeared to prioritize comfort during the Monday outing, wearing a black sweatshirt bearing the title of her latest album, “Petal,” with loose blue jeans and block-heeled ballet pumps.

White socks were visible beneath the shoes, while a slicked-back bun gave the look a simple finish.

The singer  also had a white face mask covering her face for part of the outing, although she later removed it.

Photos obtained by the Daily Mail showed her carrying an oversized polka-dot tote and Apple headphones, adding to the everyday feel of the appearance.

Her brother Frankie’s husband, Hale Grande, accompanied her, walking behind the songstress in a black tank top.

The outing marked Ariana Grande’s first public sighting since she announced plans to take a break from the public eye.

As The Blast shared, her representative confirmed that she will be “taking a step back from visibility” after the Eternal Sunshine Tour concludes in London on September 1.

Ariana later addressed the decision herself during a Chicago concert, emphasizing that it was not a sudden reaction to the intense attention surrounding her.

She described the choice as something she had been considering for a long time.

“No matter what noises exist out there, nothing will be able to distort my reality or be more real to me or not as real to me as this love that we share,” she said.

After wrapping the North American leg with her final Chicago show on August 6, the “Bang Bang” singer turned to Instagram to reflect on the experience and thank the fans who made it so meaningful.

She wrote that she was “overwhelmed with love and the deepest gratitude” and called the past few months “the most special, beautiful, joyful and deeply fulfilling” period.

Ariana said she would “cherish every moment” and the memories forever before thanking Chicago and turning her attention to London. “London, I cannot wait to see you soon,” she added.

Ariana Grande’s decision to step back from the spotlight also put some of her recent career decisions into sharper focus, including the “American Horror Story” role she ultimately had to walk away from. Following that decision, Ryan Murphy revealed that the part was not casually offered or abandoned.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor said had specifically approached Ariana with an idea, and she was immediately interested, even though she warned him that a tour could complicate things.

When the production schedule shifted into the summer, the conflict became impossible to ignore. Murphy recalled the “Wicked” actress telling him, “I don’t know how I’m going to juggle the tour with this.”

Rather than forcing her to choose, he offered to “push to another season,” and she agreed. Murphy emphasized that her departure was “really, truly a scheduling conflict,” noting that Ariana was also preparing an album and managing an already packed schedule.

Although she ultimately filmed no scenes for Season 13, Murphy said he hoped they could work together again.

Ariana’s exit from “American Horror Story” was ultimately explained as a scheduling conflict, but her decision to step away from another major acting commitment reportedly created a much bigger headache behind the scenes.

Her sudden departure from the West End revival of “Sunday in the Park With George” reportedly left the Barbican and production team scrambling, particularly because the project had been building extensive promotional plans around her star power.

According to a report from The Blast, the Barbican was informed only about an hour before the Hollywood star’s representatives publicly announced her withdrawal, with one source describing the situation as a “terrible mess.”

The insider claimed it was the venue’s “most expensive theatrical project ever” and said there were already “promotion plans in place, with magazine covers lined up.”

However, sources close to Ariana disputed the suggestion that the production was blindsided, saying the team and co-star Jonathan Bailey had been informed and were supportive.

The production is still expected to open in 2027, with replacement casting to be announced.
