Prayers Up! Monaleo Cancels Shows, Shares Update After Emergency Surgery For Softball-Sized Cyst (UPDATE)

Fans are flooding Monaleo with well-wishes and prayers after the rapper revealed why she canceled upcoming shows. She kicked off her tour in February and planned to perform in cities across the U.S. through March. However, on Tuesday (March 3), she announced cancellations due to emergency surgery.

Upcoming Shows Canceled, Rapper Offers Refunds

Monaleo first announced the cancellation of her tour shows on X (formerly Twitter). In a statement, she revealed that Memphis and New Orleans won’t be seeing her on March 3rd and 4th. She plans to issue full refunds while dates are rescheduled.

Her next show after those was scheduled for March 6 in Houston, Texas, but with her recovery after emergency surgery, she’s taking it day by day.

“I have been working really hard—25 shows in and I give 110% for every single one,” Leo wrote. “As for the rest of the tour, it’s honestly going to be a day-by-day process. I’m listening to my doctors and taking it one step at a time. My main priority is getting better. We’ll communicate any changes as soon as possible.”

Monaleo Says She Lost Parts Of Her Reproductive System

After her initial statement, the rapper shared a detailed health update on X. She started with an apology, then admitted she’s “upset” and “did not expect” the situation. Monaleo revealed that on Monday, she began feeling a sharp pain in her lower abdomen, and after taking pain meds, the pain got worse. So, she went to the emergency room, where doctors found an inflamed cyst “the size of a softball.”

“I went to the ER and could hardly make it through the ultrasound without throwing up . Worst pain ever fr. I had an inflamed cyst the size of a softball that had twisted and cut off blood flow and caused bleeding in my abdomen. Had to have emergency surgery and unfortunately lost an ovary and fallopian tube in the process,” Monaleo wrote on X.

On Tuesday, she was still hospitalized and recovering in a Memphis hospital. Again, she apologized to anyone inconvenienced by the health emergency and acknowledged that fans spent time traveling and purchasing looks for her tour. Additionally, she reassured her fans that her team is working on the refund process.

“None of that is lost on me and I appreciate all the love and support from the bottom of my heart . We ARE currently sorting through the refund process and looking at rescheduling dates as promised . I’m not sure how long this healing process will take . I do want to say this though : listen to your body when things are off . As a person who hates ER’s and never wants to go this could’ve been a lot worse . Love yall lots . Wait up for me the Pimpcess willll be back and better!!!”

Leo Encourages Fans To Listen To Their Bodies

In additional tweets, Monaleo clarified that she shared the health update to “be transparent” with her true supporters. In a second tweet, she again reminded her fans to stay in tune with their bodies.

“Context matters! Just wanted y’all to understand iI wouldn’t abruptly cancel tour shows if it wasn’t severe. also I truly care about y’all and know y’all care about my wellbeing. Nothing to hide life happens,” she tweeted.

On Instagram, she shared a post-surgery selfie, photos of her girlfriends standing by in the hospital and her husband, Stunna 4 Vegas, sitting in a nearby chair. Swipe below to see the photos.

Cyndi Lauper’s Husband Sued Amid Assault Claims Against Son

Published

on

A woman has filed a lawsuit against Cyndi Lauper’s husband, David Thornton, alleging that the star couple’s rapper son, Declyn Lauper, sexually assaulted her.

According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly on Tuesday, March 24, the woman alleges that Declyn, 28, sexually assaulted her in a New York City penthouse in November 2020 after she “refused to perform oral sex on him.” TMZ was first to report on the filing.

The Monday, March 23, docs detailed that the woman, who was not identified, claims Thorton, 72, “enabled” the alleged incident “because he leased the penthouse and knew of” Declyn’s alleged “violent and sexually abusive propensities.”

Us Weekly has reached out to representatives for Thorton and Declyn for comment.

Sean “Diddy” Combs has been accused of rape by another alleged victim in a new lawsuit. In the complaint, which was filed in New York and obtained by Us Weekly, the woman claimed Diddy raped her in 2000 when she was a 16-year-old high school student. The plaintiff, who was identified as Jane Doe, said […]

The lawsuit claims that Declyn, also known by his stage name Dex, “invited the woman … and sent her money for private car transportation,” per the outlet who also reported that “when she arrived, she claims he seemed agitated, and they disagreed about her performing fellatio.”

The woman then claims that “when she insisted on leaving, Dex took her phone and threatened to break the device if she did not” comply, before he allegedly “pushed her onto his bed with his genitals exposed, held her arms down, and forcibly smothered his genitals over her mouth.”

As for the filing against Thornton, the woman alleges that the Home Alone 3 actor knew of Declyn’s alleged “prior sexual violence against women and prior settlements of claims for similar conduct.”

The woman claims that Declyn’s ex Brittney Taylor alleged in 2018 that the rapper “was physically and verbally abusive during their romantic relationship,” and that his father allegedly “knew about the allegations but failed to take any action to supervise, restrict, or prevent his son from using the Premises to perpetrate sexual violence.”

Sean “Diddy” Combs is being sued by another woman, claiming they were sexually assaulted by him. According to court documents obtained by TMZ on Tuesday, May 21, model Crystal McKinney filed a lawsuit against Diddy, 54, for an alleged incident between them in 2003. In the filing, she claimed she connected with Diddy at a […]

The lawsuit also claims that the woman suffered “physical injuries, pain and suffering, emotional distress, humiliation, embarrassment, stress and anxiety, loss of self-esteem and self-confidence” as a result of her alleged November 2020 interaction with Declyn.

The filing comes after The New York Post reported earlier this month that Declyn accepted a plea deal in relation to a February 2024 criminal charge. As part of the deal, he pleaded guilty to possessing a weapon in the second degree in exchange for no prison time in relation to the charge, which was issued after a “shooting in Upper Manhattan” that saw “another individual … hit in the leg.”

Peter Jackson Is Making A New Lord Of The Rings Movie, It’s About Tom Bombadil

Published

New Zealand filmmaker Peter Jackson is working on a new Lord of the Rings movie, and to make it, he’s teaming up with talk show host Stephen Colbert. This is not a joke or a drill; it’s happening, and they’re already writing the script.

Stephen Colbert, long known as one of Hollywood’s most obsessive Tolkien fans, is co-writing the film alongside his son, Peter McGee, and returning franchise writer Philippa Boyens. They’re using the working title The Lord of the Rings: Shadow of the Past to refer to the project. It’s not clear yet if that will be the movie’s final title.

Here’s the announcement recorded by Peter Jackson…

The story they’re developing is based on six specific chapters from J.R.R. Tolkien’s Fellowship of the Ring. Those chapters are numbers three through eight, often referred to as “Three Is Company through Fog on the Barrow Downs.” They involve Frodo first leaving the Shire, encountering his first Black Rider, and, most notably of all, encountering Tom Bombadil.

Peter Jackson filming The Lord of the Rings

Tolkien fans will no doubt remember that Tom Bombadil was the biggest omission from the original Lord of the Rings movies. Jackson will now remedy that by making an entire, dedicated Tom Bombadil story.

Tom Bombadil is one of the strangest and most mysterious figures in The Lord of the Rings. Living in the Old Forest with his wife Goldberry, in Tolkien’s book, he appears cheerful and harmless, yet possesses immense, unexplained power. He’s so powerful that he’s totally unaffected by the One Ring.

Bombadil rescues the hobbits from multiple dangers, including the Barrow-downs, but exists completely outside the main conflict of Middle-earth, seemingly untouched by its wars, politics, or even its rules.

Peter Jackson is mostly involved in The Lord of the Rings: Shadow of the Past on the production side, reuniting with key members of the original creative team, signaling that this isn’t a reboot but another attempt to mine unused Tolkien material with the same people who built the franchise the first time. This new project is slated for release after Lord of the Rings: Hunt For Gollum, a feature film in production under the direction of Lord of the Rings alum Andy Serkis.

‘Reacher’s Alan Ritchson Absolutely Crushes This Underseen 2020 Supernatural War Movie

Published

on

The cast of Ghosts of War

When Ghosts of War was released in 2020, it didn’t get a lot of traction and gained mostly unfavorable reviews from the critics. From the current perspective, this horror film set in the penultimate year of World War II hits differently, with its effective mix of not only suspense and action but also supernatural and psychological aspects. Admittedly, the initial premise of Eric Bress‘ film doesn’t come off as very original, as the war setting isn’t anything new to the horror genre, thanks to such outings as Overlord, Trench 11, The Bunker, etc.

Few films, however, offer truly interesting concepts within the genre wrapping, mostly content with finding new ways to introduce various monsters (most commonly, zombies) to the historical setting. A notable exception was M.J. Bassett‘s 2002 film, Deathwatch, which presented war itself as a monster. And Ghosts of War, despite all the plot differences, leans towards the same idea, focusing on the way war shapes horrific moral dilemmas and showing how guilt and shame over certain actions or inaction can create their very own monsters and curses. And now that star Alan Ritchson is dominating on Netflix with his new war thriller War Machine, now is the perfect time to revisit this underseen war thriller.

What Is ‘Ghosts of War’ About?

In 1944, five American troopers of the 82nd Airborne Division arrive at a chateau located somewhere in rural France. They are under orders to guard the place, and at first none of the men think much about the fact that the unit who had the previous shift seem rattled and can’t get out of there fast enough. The guys barely manage to settle in when strange, seemingly paranormal occurrences start happening all around them. Between the mysterious knocking coming from the fireplace—which seems to be using Morse code to send ominous messages—and a journal that details the terrible fate of the family that used to live here, the characters succumb to the dark presence that lurks around them. German soldiers arrive and attack, but at this point, the Americans have already come to realize that what they’re dealing with inside the house might be much more dangerous than the enemies they are trying to keep out.

Collider Exclusive · Sci-Fi Survival Quiz
Which Sci-Fi World
Would You Survive?

The Matrix · Mad Max · Blade Runner · Dune · Star Wars

Five universes. Five completely different ways the future went wrong — or sideways, or up in flames. Only one of them is the world your instincts were built for. Ten questions will figure out which dystopia, galaxy, or desert wasteland you’d actually make it out of alive.

💊The Matrix

🚀Star Wars

01

You sense something is deeply wrong with the world around you. What do you do?
The first instinct is often the truest one.

02

In a world of scarcity, what resource do you guard most fiercely?
What we protect reveals what we believe survival actually requires.

03

What kind of threat keeps you up at night?
Fear is useful data — if you’re honest about what you’re actually afraid of.

04

Which of these comes most naturally to you?
Your strongest skill is your best survival asset — use it accordingly.

05

How do you deal with authority you don’t trust?
Every dystopia has a power structure. Your approach to it determines everything.

06

Which environment could you actually endure long-term?
Survival isn’t just tactical — it’s physical, psychological, and very much about where you are.

07

Who do you want in your corner when things fall apart?
The company you keep is the clearest signal of who you actually are.

08

A comfortable lie or a devastating truth — which can you actually live with?
Some worlds offer one. Some offer the other. Very few offer both.

09

Where do you draw the line — if you draw one at all?
Every survivor eventually faces a moment that tests what they’re actually made of.

10

What would actually make survival worth it?
Staying alive is one thing. Having a reason to is another.

Your Fate Has Been Calculated
You’d Survive In…

Your answers point to the world your instincts were built for. Read all five — your result is the one that resonates most deeply.

💊

The Matrix

You took the red pill a long time ago — probably before anyone offered it to you. You’re a systems thinker who can’t help but notice the seams in things, the places where the official version doesn’t quite line up. In the Matrix, that instinct is the difference between life and permanent digital sedation. You’d find the Resistance, or it would find you. The machines built an airtight prison. You’d be the one probing the walls for the door.

🔥

Mad Max

The wasteland doesn’t reward the clever or the well-connected — it rewards those who are hard to kill and harder to break. That’s you. You don’t need comfort, community, or a cause larger than the next horizon. You need a vehicle, a clear threat, and enough fuel to outrun it. You are unsentimental enough to survive that world, and decent enough — just barely — to be something more than another raider.

🌧️

Blade Runner

You’d survive here because you know how to exist in moral grey areas without losing yourself completely. You read people accurately, keep your circle small, and ask the questions others prefer not to answer. In a city where humanity is a legal designation rather than a feeling, you hold onto something that keeps you functional. You’re not a hero. But you’re not lost, either. In Blade Runner’s world, that distinction is everything.

🏜️

Dune

Arrakis is the most hostile environment in the known universe — and you are precisely the kind of person it rewards. Patience, discipline, pattern recognition, political awareness, and an understanding that the long game matters more than any single victory. Others come to Dune and are consumed by it. You’d learn its logic, earn its respect, and perhaps, in time, reshape it entirely.

🚀

Star Wars

The galaxy far, far away is vast, loud, and in a constant state of violent political upheaval — and you wouldn’t have it any other way. You’re someone who finds meaning in being part of something larger than yourself. You’d gravitate toward the Rebellion, or the fringes, or whatever pocket of the galaxy still believes the Empire’s grip can be broken. Whatever you are, you fight. And in Star Wars, that willingness is what makes the difference.

The Gothic setting of the mansion and all the potential chills that come with it can bring another reference to a supernatural horror set during WWII to mind—the unfortunate sequel to an already unnecessary remake, The Woman in Black: Angel of Death, which came out in 2014. Unlike the latter, though, Ghosts of War doesn’t only utilize war as a backdrop to a classic ghost story about a vengeful spirit who wants retribution but incorporates it into the emotional core here: war isn’t the background of the horror; it’s the catalyst for it. Eric Bress isn’t a novice in genre cinema, having previously worked on the Final Destination franchise—both the second and fourth films—as a screenwriter and having directed The Butterfly Effect. In Ghosts of War, which he both wrote and directed, he makes effective use of space, which remains pretty limited for most of the story, making it work for both horror and the prolonged action sequence depicting the attack by the Germans.

The Cast of ‘Ghosts of War’ and Its Effective Twist Elevate It From Being a Typical Ghost Story

The cast of Ghosts of War
The cast of Ghosts of War
Image via Vertical Entertainment

Like many movies with a clear anti-war message, Ghosts of War has a very specific set of characters and a very particular cast that all help to sharpen the idea that most people who find themselves in the trenches aren’t black and white heroes or villains. Just ordinary people who try to hold on to their sanity amid chaos and madness. That is especially evident in the case of the future Jack Reacher, Ritchson, who plays one of the privates with his trademark natural charisma of a man who could’ve been the hero of the story and the one to make it to the end credits in some other scenario. Here, however, he unexpectedly becomes the first and almost random victim, once again emphasizing the idea of war as the dark force that devours everything and everyone in its path.

Other actors in the core cast fully contribute to this effect too. Brenton Thwaites plays the unit’s commander, who does his best to lead but comes off just as confused as the men he’s supposed to be in charge of. And Kyle Gallner, who hadn’t fully reached his Scream King status at that point but already had several noticeable genre outings under his belt, seems to be channeling his experience in The Haunting in Connecticut, playing a character who is probably the most perceptive of the supernatural presence inside the mansion. Rounded out by Skylar Astin and Theo Rossi, this group comes off as a bunch of regular young men who are roughened and exhausted by the war, but try to stick to some semblance of normalcy by gathering around the fireplace and scaring each other by relaying terrible incidents as if they were campfire stories.

Alan Ritchson looking down at something in Reacher

Alan Ritchson Addresses Growing Expectations for ‘Reacher’ Season 4

The hit series is eyeing a 2026 return.

While Ghosts of War isn’t by any means a subtle film, the gradual dissolution of the familiar reality is what it does best, hinting at a possible twist with the help of several discrepancies in the story, noticeable to history buffs, and the mention of the famous Ambrose Bierce‘s short story, An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge. When Bress’ film first came out, a lot of the criticism it faced was aimed specifically at the movie’s ending, claiming that both the twist and the following resolution sort of render the previous events pointless. In the context of the movie’s broader meaning, though, there is another way to see this controversial ending. In its final sequence, Ghosts of War seems to be fully embracing its psychological horror origin, showing that the only way to deal with trauma is to go back to the roots of it and address it directly, instead of going through the soothing motions that are merely an illusion of moving forward.

The best thing about jeans is that they come in so many variations, so it’s practically impossible not to find a style you love. But thanks to heavy inspiration from Katie Holmes, we found a pair that flatters everybody (and every body). These wide-leg jeans have a distinctive hem and relaxed look that’ll have you reaching for them every week.

Holmes gave us a lesson in cool-mom style when she wore her medium-wash jeans in San Diego. They’re not your typical wide-leg jeans, though, as they have a denim colorblock situation and frayed hems. Consider them a bit funkier than a typical option! To get the style, we luckily found the Jyutia High-Waisted Wide-Leg Jeans to be a wildly similar pick.

The Jyutia jeans are made of mostly cotton, but there is elastane in there to provide comfortable stretch. Unlike typical denim that comes in number sizes, these are available in small, medium, large and X-large. And to get the Holmes-approved look, snag the Mid Blue color, but the Dark Blue and Black are also no-fail options.

We love how Holmes paired the chunky frayed hem on the jeans with a feminine white blouse. The Mary Jane flats and sunglasses tied the look together for an ultra-stylish mom-on-the-go feel. The wide-leg silhouette allows you to play with your tops and footwear while keeping your proportions balanced.

If there’s one thing all the Amazon shoppers can agree on, it’s that these wide-leg jeans exceed expectations. The nice fit and stretchy fabric make them easy to wear from day to day.

“These are my new favorite jeans! They are high-rise, wide-leg with cuffs. They’re a lighter-weight jean with stretch. The cuffs stay up or you can uncuff and wear,” a five-star reviewer wrote.

“The cut is perfect, the fabric is stretchy and comfy and the perfect color. I wore them to my stylist, who is a real fashionista, and she loved them so much I had to send her a link. Great quality and so stylish,” another happy shopper said.

From the relaxed silhouette all the way down to the unique hem, these Amazon jeans are giving Holmes’ a run for their money. But luckily, you won’t have to spend a lot of yours to get the style!

Bonnie Blue Plans to Auction Off Baby’s Name Amid Pregnancy

Published

on

Adult content creator Bonnie Blue is thinking of ways to include her fans in her pregnancy.

“I would like to auction off the baby’s name, I think that would be quite fun,” Blue, 26, exclusively told Us Weekly, sharing that she doesn’t have a name picked out yet. “I think I want to get my fans involved in a gender reveal. They’re going to be involved along the way.”

She continued, “But I want to be very careful [about] not sexualizing the child. So it’s trying to get the right balance of getting people involved, but not having the baby sexualized. Pregnancy can be sexualized. That’s fine, because that’s referring to me, but there’ll be a very strict line, especially once the baby’s here, of what’s shown and how much is shown.”

Blue (real name Tia Billinger) explained that she’s “always thinking of new ideas” and thought involving her fans in choosing the baby’s name would “obviously [be] a fun one.”

“I’m yet to decide anymore,” she said. “Spring break was a big one that I’ve just finished, so that was the priority. And spring break is coming to an end now, so I’ll be thinking of what’s next shortly after.”

After having unprotected sex with 400 men in her so-called “breeding mission,” Blue claimed in February that she is pregnant. When asked if she had a message for the men who participated in her event, Blue told Us, “Good luck, I guess.”

“I was very transparent of what the event was about, what I’d like the outcome to be,” she said, “and they’ve got the option if they’d like to be involved, once I find out who the [dad] is, or if they don’t want to be, then I’m more than happy to be a single mom.”

Blue shared that she’s “making sure the baby’s healthy” and is not focused on establishing paternity.

Related: Adult Content Creator Bonnie Blue Defends Pregnancy From Critics: ‘My Body’

Adult content creator Bonnie Blue has a message for critics of her pregnancy, which was announced on the heels of her having unprotected sex with about 400 men. “To the women showing anger towards me because they’ve experienced a miscarriage, that’s wrong,” Blue, 26, said in a press release obtained by Us Weekly. “It’s terrible […]

“As any pregnant woman would agree, it’s the main priority during a pregnancy,” she said of the baby’s health. “In terms of finding out the dad, that’s another day’s problem.”

While some have theorized that Blue’s pregnancy is a stunt, the adult content creator told Us she’s not bothered.

“It’s not my job to convince them I am actually pregnant,” Blue said of the haters. “The more doubts, the more comments, the more views, and it will stay that way. I saw a comment say, ‘Even if I’m seen having a baby, they’ll think it’s a doll.’ So enjoy watching me carrying a doll around this year because I am pregnant, but I am not fazed at all if people don’t believe me.”

While promising “lots of Spring Break content” will be shared soon, Blue said her commitment to creating content “just shows I’ve been able to continue doing what I do despite being pregnant or not pregnant.”

However, drama behind the scenes led to the pair parting ways.

The day after the Patriots lost the Super Bowl to the Seattle Seahawks, PEOPLE confirmed that Diggs and Cardi unfollowed each other on Instagram. The rapper then confirmed the split when she addressed it for the first time on February 15, while on tour.

On February 25, an inside source gave US Weekly insight into what led to the breakup between the two.

“They are always so up and down. This isn’t the first time they have broken up,” the source said.

“Cardi is single and putting herself out there again,” they continued. “She feels free. He betrayed her so many times. Her friends have been trying to show her that he is not right for her and that she deserved better.”

While our paths are now moving in different directions, my priority remains my children and ensuring they feel loved, supported, and protected through this transition.”

He continued, “I am committed to handling this next chapter with kindness and respect. I kindly ask for privacy and understanding as we navigate this as a family.”

The timing of Jessi’s post comes after TMZ and Page Six both reported that Jordan’s temporary restraining order (TRO) was denied. (Page Six was the first to break the news.)

One day after filing for divorce, Jordan submitted a TRO request. No additional details regarding the request, including the alleged reason for the filing, were revealed at the time.

Jessi and Jordan’s relationship has been a focus on Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. In the second season, Jessi was accused of infidelity. She later revealed that she had an emotional affair with Hulu star Marciano Brunette after they met while filming Vanderpump Villa.

Jessi Ngatikaura’s marriage to Jordan Ngatikaura made headlines after she admitted on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives that she had an affair with Marciano Brunette. The couple started dating and got married before the hit Hulu series premiered in September 2024. During the first season, Jessi’s personal life wasn’t in the spotlight, but that all […]

“I wouldn’t say I was in love with him. It only lasted about two weeks, so it was quick. But I will say I confided in him a lot,” Jessi exclusively told Us ahead of the season 3 premiere in November 2025. “The dynamic with Jordan that I had had in my marriage, I hadn’t really talked to anyone about it. My family and friends had been aware because they’d seen things, but I tried to be like, ‘Everything’s fine.’”

Jessi claimed that she and Brunette grew close after she opened up about her marriage woes.

“I did feel a connection to him in that sense because he was there for me and he made me feel special,” she said. “Jordan would put me down a lot. Marciano told me how pretty and cool and fun I was. I felt like there was a connection there because he was giving me something I was lacking. But I wouldn’t say I was in love with him.”

Karadec and Morgan looking at each other in High Potential Season 2 Episode 16

High Potential is now nearing the end of its second season, with just two episodes left after this week’s episode, “Change of Plans.” As such, each episode brings the show closer to solving the mystery of what happened to Roman Sinquerra. This week’s episode brings back Willa Quinn (Jennifer Jason Leigh), the notorious fixer who ordered Roman’s abduction 16 years earlier. As she makes Selena’s (Judy Reyes) investigation much more difficult, the Major Crimes team investigates the murder of a tagger, and Captain Wagner (Steve Howey) deals with a request from his powerful father.

This week’s episode is a strong installment that finally delivers a major piece of information about what happened to Roman. It also continues to show the complex growing feelings between Morgan (Kaitlin Olson) and Karadec (Daniel Sunjata), while throwing a wrench into the Roman investigation. “Change of Plans” gives some excellent setup for the last two episodes of the season, spelling an exciting and suspenseful conclusion to Season 2 ahead.

In ‘High Potential’ Season 2, Episode 16, Major Crimes Investigates the Murder of a Tagger

A graffiti tagger named Tyler Villanueva, known by the tag name of D’Fnkt, is found dead and draped over the side of an unconventionally-shaped building called Encase. Morgan and Karadec learn that Tyler had just tagged the inside of the building before he was killed. He had been tagging over someone else’s complete piece, so they suspect that Tyler was killed because of it. Morgan reaches out to her old friend Nicole (June Carryl), a professor and former tagger knew both Morgan and Roman back in the day. Nicole tells Morgan and Karadec that Tyler tagged over the work of a tagger named Cyclops. Daphne (Javicia Leslie) and Oz (Deniz Akdeniz) then find Cyclops, whose real name is Anton.

Anton tells them that he and Tyler had called a truce because they’d both been anonymously paid to tag the building together. Morgan and Karadec bring in the architect, Gerald Lee (Alex Quijano), to ask him questions. Lee tells them that he wasn’t going to get to finish Encase, and it was going to be torn down by developers. The graffiti brought the property’s value down just in time for a private sale by a man named Brad Latmore. As it turns out, Latmore paid Tyler and Anton to tag the building so that he could buy it. When he didn’t pay Tyler right away, Tyler tagged his garage. Latmore ultimately paid them both in full, though, and it’s clear that he is not the killer. Morgan and Karadec go to check out the building again. It’s very hot in there, and the building has been filled with propane tanks and a glove full of gasoline that could cause an explosion at any second.

Karadec sends Morgan out of the building. There is a small explosion, but the building is still intact, and Karadec is all right except for a head injury. Later, Major Crimes realizes that someone tried to burn down the building, and Tyler caught them while he was there tagging, so they killed him. Wagner steps in to help with the case in Karadec’s absence, and he and Morgan get a look at a model of Encase that leads Morgan to realize that the building was built poorly. Encase is positioned so that the concrete side of the building gets the most light, making the building hot, and risking a structural collapse. The glass side was supposed to face that way, but the original clients made a last-minute change and messed it up. Morgan realizes that Lee tried to burn down just that side of the building so that he could redesign it, and he killed Tyler for catching him in the act. After the arrest, Nicole goes to thank Morgan, and she brings her a Frida Kahlo book for Ava (Amirah J) that Roman gave Nicole back in the day.

‘High Potential’ Season 2, Episode 16 Furthers Complicates the Morgan and Karadec Love Triangle Karadec and Morgan looking at each other in High Potential Season 2 Episode 16

Karadec and Lucia (Susan Kelechi Watson) have a dinner planned for that night. Lucia just bought a house in LA, and she and Karadec have already spoken about him potentially moving in with her soon, so they’re going to celebrate. When Karadec tells Morgan, she is thrown off, and she clearly feels conflicted about this news. Later, when Karadec gets hurt in the Encase explosion, Morgan is terrified for him. Lucia goes to visit Karadec at the hospital, where he initially mistakes her for Morgan when he’s first coming to, and Morgan is being very demanding and attentive throughout his recovery.

It’s especially clear in these moments with the three of them just how in sync Morgan and Karadec are, and how Lucia can see it as well. Still, Lucia and Morgan are both kind to one another, and they’re just worried about Karadec. Later, while Morgan is finishing up the investigation into Tyler’s murder, Lucia is still at the hospital with Karadec. Karadec gets food from the restaurant they were supposed to go to delivered to the hospital for the two of them. Over dinner with Lucia, he tells her that he loves her, and she says it back. As for Morgan, she makes sure to include Karadec in the victory by taking a piece of evidence to the hospital to show him.

This episode starts off with Willa Quinn in LA now, lurking around to make sure that Selena can’t get any information out of Eric Hayworth (John Pyper-Ferguson). Willa shows up to the station, where Selena meets with her. Willa wants to silence Hayworth, and she pretends to offer to help Selena with Roman’s case in exchange. Selena tells Willa that there are coded messages on the Blackberry from Roman’s backpack that match the day and time he disappeared. Willa pretends to be oblivious, but Selena can tell that she is afraid. Later, Wagner meets with his father to talk. Wagner Sr. tells Wagner that he’s launched a panel to look into corruption, and he wants Morgan to join. Wagner knows that Morgan won’t want the job, but he also knows better than to fight his dad on this one.

Wagner offers the job to Morgan, and she, expectedly, declines it. Later, when he pushes the issue again, she calls him out and he tells her the truth. Wagner very well may be innocent after all, but his father definitely isn’t. Later, Willa gets Hayworth moved to an FBI facility for his possible knowledge related to the murder of Lila Flynn, the FBI agent whom Roman was informing to, and who was killed around the time he was abducted. Then, Willa meets up with Wagner Sr. As it turns out, she’d asked him to move Morgan away from Major Crimes in the first place. Willa then tells Wagner Sr. that they’re in this together, and that he’ll go down if she does. This confirms that Wagner Sr. was directly involved in what happened to Roman, and that he was likely the one who hired her to get rid of Roman. It would have been a better reveal if he’d been introduced sooner, but it’s still a strong twist that will likely make for an explosive end to the season.

High Potential airs Tuesdays at 9:00 P.M. EST on ABC.

The Man Without Fear Returns in a Brutally Solid Start

Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2

Editor’s Note: The below contains spoilers for the Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 premiere. In 2025, Charlie Cox‘s fan-favorite street-level Marvel hero was brought back into the MCU fold with Daredevil: Born Again, which picked up where Matt Murdock’s story left off in the critically acclaimed Netflix series. However, it wasn’t always that way, and when both fans and those close to the project expressed their concerns about the apparent lack of continuity, it led to a massive creative overhaul. The result was far more connections to the original show that fans no doubt appreciated, but also a few narrative inconsistencies across Season 1. Still, with gripping performances, intense action scenes, and a refreshing level of grit rarely seen in the MCU, Daredevil: Born Again quickly earned a second season, which has finally premiered with its first episode on Disney+.

Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 concluded with both attorney Matt Murdock (Cox) and recently elected New York mayor Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) reembracing their cast-aside roles as Daredevil and the Kingpin, respectively. Fisk has assembled a task force of violent, corrupt police officers to round up the city’s vigilantes, prompting Daredevil and his longtime companion, Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll), to kickstart a resistance movement against the nefarious villain. With New York’s very soul on the line, Matt and Karen are making some excellent progress, but Fisk, as per usual, has some tricks up his sleeve.

‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season 2 Has Bad News for Karen/Frank Shippers

Daredevil: Born Again‘s Season 2 premiere wastes zero time getting right to the action, with Daredevil investigating a heavily guarded cargo ship that appears to be smuggling weapons for Fisk. Our favorite Man Without Fear is also rocking a brand-new costume, with some much darker shades of red and black making for a stealthier look despite the more bombastic DD on his chest. It’s a nice change of pace from Season 1, which primarily saw Matt flirting with the idea of returning to his Daredevil persona before finally embracing his destiny as Hell’s Kitchen’s greatest Defender.

After a predictably brutal and entertaining (albeit somewhat choppily edited) fist fight with some guards, Matt finds evidence that the ship is being used to smuggle weapons, possibly for Fisk’s Anti-Vigilante Task Force (or AVTF for short), but not before the ship’s captain and first mate rig the ship to sink. Matt escapes, leaving Mayor Fisk to see the damage, enraged to learn that the captain and first mate have disappeared. As a result, Fisk orders his new right-hand man, Buck (Arty Froushan), and the AVTF to tie up these loose ends as soon as possible.

‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season 2 Gets Major Last-Minute Release Schedule Change

The new series begins soon on Disney+.

After escaping the ship, Matt returns to his home base to find his longtime friend Karen Page training, but the passionate kiss the two share seemingly confirms that they’re a lot more than friends now. For the first time since Season 2 of the original Netflix series, Matt and Karen have evidently rekindled their complicated romance, which is bad news for all the fans rooting for Karen and Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) to end up together. Some may also be disappointed that this rekindling seemingly happened in between seasons, but it’s still nice to see the two fan-favorite characters together again.

‘Daredevil: Born Again’s Supporting Characters Already Have a Lot More To Do

Perhaps a lot of it was due to the much-publicized creative overhaul, but one of Daredevil: Born Again Season 1’s larger issues was not knowing what to do with its supporting characters. That doesn’t appear to be the case thus far for Season 2, as the MCU show is already taking some steps in the right direction, starting with arguably Season 1’s most divisive character, Dr. Heather Glenn (Margarita Levieva). Now fully under Fisk’s employ, Heather appears to be haunted by Season 1’s events, particularly her role in gunning down the artistic serial killer Muse (Hunter Doohan). As traumatizing as the experience was, Heather is very clearly entering her villain era, even fabricating medical documents for Jack Duquesne (Tony Dalton), AKA the Swordsman, to further Fisk’s anti-vigilante agenda.

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 also introduces a brand-new wildcard into the mix with Mr. Charles (Matthew Lillard), who appears to be far more of a threat than anyone could have predicted. While nobody seems to know who this individual is or where he came from, he’s got friends in high places, yet he seems to be on Fisk’s side (at least, for now) since his employers are the ones who requested that weapons shipment. This is evident when Fisk is being chastised by the attorney general for his fascist and clearly illegal methods to reign in New York’s vigilantes, only for him to get a call from Charles’ associate “Ms. De Fontaine” (guaranteed to be none other than Julia Louis Dreyfus’ cutthroat Thunderbolts* antagonist).

Meanwhile, independent journalist BB Urich (Genneya Walton) is also back, now helping Daniel Blake (Michael Gandolfini) make AVTF propaganda videos. In actuality, BB is working undercover to expose Fisk as the monster he is, working alongside Karen to help prove that Fisk was the one who murdered her uncle, Ben Urich (Vondie Curtis-Hall), all the way back in Netflix’s Daredevil Season 1. There’s even some sort of Fisk caricature that is interrupting BB’s propaganda in an attempt to show what the mayor is really up to. While that’s going on, Matt’s legal partner, Kirsten McDuffie (Nikki M. James), is dealing with an increasingly corrupt legal system, while PI Cherry (Clark Johnson) is trying to find some dirt on those missing sailors, though his digging hasn’t gone unnoticed by Fisk’s team.

In a sequence that eerily mirrors the ruthless and controversial tactics of the Trump administration’s ICE agents (as recently seen in The Pitt), Fisk’s AVTF uses violence and intimidation to achieve its goals, once again showing the TV-MA series isn’t afraid to delve into modern cultural and political issues. The corrupt cops, led by Officer Powell (Hamish Allan-Headley), have already tracked down and taken care of the ship’s captain, but the first mate is still at large. This leads a crew of AVTF agents to Cherry’s apartment, where they begin to relentlessly torture the former NYPD detective, leading Daredevil to swoop in and save him.

However, things take a grim turn when Cherry begins to have a heart attack, and not only does the pounding heartbeat overwhelm Matt’s senses, but it also gives him grim flashbacks to the death of his best friend, Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson), in Season 1. Matt is so distracted to the point where the AVTF agents not only overtake him, but also even unmask him, revealing the secret identity of Daredevil. The big reveal doesn’t last, as the agents are quickly slain by an unknown assailant, whose identity is revealed to be none other than Bullseye (Wilson Bethel).

Even though Benjamin Poindexter shot Matt while trying to kill Fisk not too long ago, murdered Foggy, and is seemingly secretly still working with Vanessa Fisk (Ayelet Zurer), Bullseye saving his archnemesis seems to indicate the early beginnings of an uneasy alliance between the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen and the Man Without Mercy. Working with a good-intentioned vigilante like the Punisher, who thinks killing is necessary, is one thing, but working with a vindictive assassin who finds deep-seated pleasure in the deaths of others may push our hero into truly uncharted territory, and one that charts a very exciting direction for the MCU saga.

Pros & Cons

  • The fight scenes (particularly the final fight) are as brutal and visceral as ever.
  • The supporting characters are already being given a lot more to do.
  • The teased Daredevil/Bullseye team-up is a very fun direction.
  • Seeing “Karedevil” reborn is great…
  • …but it’s a shame that Matt and Karen’s romantic build up happened offscreen.
  • Wilson Fisk hasn’t been given a whole lot to do (yet).
