There are certain sneaker styles that celebrities just can’t seem to quit — and this pair may have more staying power than most. Nicole Kidman is the latest A-lister to reach for the retro style, following in the footsteps of Jennifer Aniston, who has made them part of her off-duty rotation. When two of Hollywood’s best-dressed women keep coming back to the same shoe, we take notice.

The Practical Magic 2 star stepped out in New York City wearing creamy Adidas Samba OG sneakers with jeans, a white button-up, blazer and black Chanel bag. The sporty shoes gave her polished outfit an effortless finish, making them perfect for dressing down our fall looks. While Kidman’s exact colorway isn’t on Amazon, other versions of the bestselling sneakers are — for just $95.

That includes the viral beige suede colorway with contrasting black Adidas stripes, which has sold more than 600 pairs in the past month alone. The neutral design makes them easy to wear with everything already in your fall wardrobe.

The classic sneakers feature a leather upper with suede overlays, a soft synthetic lining and a rubber outsole. They also have the Samba’s signature low-profile silhouette and rounded toe and come in sizes 5 through 14.5. There’s even a sleek black colorway if you want something darker for fall.

More than 3,700 Amazon shoppers have given the sneakers a five-star rating. One reviewer called them “incredibly comfortable,” sharing that they wore them on an international trip and their feet “felt great the whole time, even with lots of walking.” Another shopper described them as “classic and versatile,” adding that they “work just as well on weekends with casual outfits.”

Pair them with straight-leg jeans and a blazer to recreate Kidman’s polished formula, or take a cue from Aniston and work them into your favorite off-duty outfits. Either way, the retro sneakers make a strong case for sticking around for another season.

Brandi Glanville Praises RHOBH Costar Yolanda Hadid’s Support

Published

Brandi Glanville has credited her former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills costar Yolanda Hadid with lending her a helping hand amid her health problems.

“Yolanda’s always been very helpful,” Brandi, 53, shared on the Friday, September 11, episode of her “Brandi Glanville Unfiltered” podcast.

Brandi has been struggling for the better part of three years with a mysterious facial disfigurement, which she said developed after she filmed Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip in Morocco in 2023. (The Morocco season of Ultimate Girls Trip has never aired because of ongoing litigation between cast member Caroline Manzo and Bravo over an alleged incident involving Brandi.)

The RHOBH alum recently received some concrete information about her condition when she was diagnosed with “highly resistant ESBL Klebsiella and Enterobacter with biofilm, Coccidioidomycosis (Valley Fever), Demodex dermatitis and Mononucleosis” after spending more than $113,000 on treatment options.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Brandi Glanville is still trying to figure out the cause of her facial disfigurement years later. “I have to give an update on my face, ‘cause we got a lot of comments last time. I don’t know what’s wrong with me, guys,” Glanville, 53, said on the Thursday, […]

Yolanda, 62, documented her own health woes on RHOBH back in the day after she said she’d been diagnosed with chronic Lyme disease. (The Mayo Clinic says that chronic Lyme disease is a term that refers to “long-term symptoms [people] think may be linked to an earlier case of Lyme disease” but stressed that “that term isn’t well-defined.”)

During last Friday’s podcast episode, Brandi confirmed that Yolanda recently reached out to help put her in contact with doctors.

“Yolanda’s been very helpful and she’s hooked me up with some doctors,” Brandi confirmed. “It’s just spending, spending, spending. If I had her bank account, it would be different.”

She clarified: “Our things are different. She has Lyme disease and I’ve got [my own health issues].”

One of Brandi’s close friends recently launched a GoFundMe to help raise money for the reality star’s treatment and recovery. As of publication, the fundraising appeal has earned more than $19,500 of a $25,000 goal.

Brandi’s former RHOBH costars Kyle Richards and Camille Grammer joined RHOC OG Vicki Gunvalson and RHOA alum Claudia Jordan in contributing to the GoFundMe.

“As I donated to Jeana Keough, I did for Brandi,” Vicki, 64, told Us in an exclusive statement on Saturday, referring to her former RHOC costar’s ongoing tongue cancer battle. “It breaks my heart that both of them who have been used to working to provide for themselves, are not able to at this time. I wish Brandi continued healing.”

On Saturday, September 12, Brandi released a new statement to thank the Bravo community for its support during her time of need.

“I’m honestly overwhelmed by all the love and support,” Brandi wrote via her Instagram Stories. “Thank you to every single person who has donated, shared my GoFundMe, checked on me, prayed for me or sent me love.”

Brandi added, “Asking for help isn’t easy for me, but knowing I have so many people in my corner means more than I can ever explain. I still have a long road ahead, but you’re helping me keep fighting. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU. I love you guys.”

Barbra Streisand Slams President Donald Trump’s Ego

Donald Trump Threatens to Cancel $257 Million Kennedy Center Renovation If His Name Is Not Added

Barbra Streisand is calling out President Donald Trump and his “unchecked ego” after he threatened to cancel the Kennedy Center renovation plans if his name isn’t added.

Publishing a statement via her website on Thursday, September 17, Streisand, 84, slammed Trump for his actions, which she claimed are “galling and painful to witness.”

“Now, a thoroughly defeated Trump has announced that the Kennedy Center is being closed for what the completely stacked board describes as a major renovation,” she wrote via her website. “Oddly, when Trump’s name was still on the building, there was no discussion of closing it!”

She continued, “You can easily imagine my indignation at seeing this revered institution become the subject of such a bitter struggle over one man’s name and unchecked ego.”

President Donald Trump is supportive of the Kennedy Center’s renovations — if his name can be added to the landmark. “The Board of The Kennedy Center today agreed, almost unanimously, to close the Building for Safety reasons, and so that it can begin the process of Reconstruction,” Trump, 80, wrote via TruthSocial on Tuesday, September […]

Elsewhere in the statement, Streisand, who accepted a Kennedy Center Honors award in 2008, explained why she felt so strongly about Trump’s repeated efforts to add his name to the building. (The building was originally named for the late President John F. Kennedy.)

“I was deeply honored to be included in the 31st annual class of Kennedy Center Honorees,” she said. “For me, and for so many artists, that honor represented something larger than a career recognition. It represented a belief in the importance of art to the life of a democracy. That is why what is happening to the Kennedy Center is so galling and painful to witness.”

Earlier this week, Trump announced via social media that he would be supportive of the center’s renovations if his name was added to the building.

“The Board of The Kennedy Center today agreed, almost unanimously, to close the Building for Safety reasons, and so that it can begin the process of Reconstruction,” Trump, 80, wrote via TruthSocial on Tuesday, September 15. “The closing will take place immediately, however, the Renovation and Reconstruction, which is a very large and complex job, cannot begin until such time as the D.C. Circuit rules on the Board’s approved name.”

The former Apprentice host continued, “If the ruling is a negative one, which it should not be, and is not overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court, the Reconstruction and the Renovation of The Kennedy Center will not take place.”

In his latest post, Trump claimed $17 million — that he allegedly raised — has already been put into The Kennedy Center account to keep it afloat.

President Donald Trump has even more plans for the Kennedy Center after he worked to rename the landmark. “The Trump Kennedy Center will close on July 4th, 2026, in honor of the 250th Anniversary of our Country, whereupon we will simultaneously begin Construction of the new and spectacular Entertainment Complex,” Trump, 79, wrote via Truth […]

Earlier in the day, U.S. District Judge Christopher Cooper explained that Congress would need to approve Trump’s name being added to the Washington, D.C., building.

“Simply put, Defendants cannot install memorials for President Trump or anyone or anything else at the Kennedy Center without Congress’ blessing,” Cooper said in the latest ruling on Tuesday via the Associated Press.

Members of Kennedy’s extended family have previously weighed in on Trump’s attempts to attach his name to the Center.

“Adding your name to a memorial already named in honor of a great man doesn’t make you a great man. Quite the contrary,” Maria Shriver, 70, wrote via X in December 2025. “Putting your name on top of someone else’s doesn’t mean that people will speak of you in the same breath as the other man. Putting your name above another man’s name on his existing memorial… What is that about? Truly? What’s that about?”

JFK’s only grandson, Jack Schlossberg, also previously slammed Trump’s actions.

The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 20 Trailer Unites Past Stars But Theres Still Drama

Carmella Garcia and her boyfriend Danny Hampel have “called it quits.”

Speaking to Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast on Thursday, September 17, the Real Housewives of Orange County star, 44, confirmed the couple had split “months ago” after 10 years together.

Carmella told the outlet she had mixed feelings about the break-up.

“I feel a range of emotions,” Carmella said. “I feel sad. It was a 10-year relationship. It was somebody that was around my children. But, at the end of the day, I needed to put myself first.”

The show that launched a global phenomenon is back and ready for another juicy season. On Thursday, June 11, Bravo released the official trailer for season 20 of The Real Housewives of Orange County. Shannon Storms Beador, Heather Dubrow, Tamra Judge, Gina Kirschenheiter, Emily Simpson and Jennifer Pedranti are back for more fun as they […]

While Carmella did not specify what exactly caused the split, she claimed that Danny had done something “gravely inappropriate” after RHOC’s season 20 wrapped.

“It was a very difficult situation because it was somebody that I loved very deeply, and I truly did want to get to a place of forgiveness, but I oftentimes ignore my intuition and there was just something deep down that I felt like I just didn’t trust,” she told the outlet. “The dishonesty just continued and I called it quits.”

Carmella added that the split had affected her sons,  Jason, 17, and Jax, 15. (Carmella shares Jason and Jax with her ex-husband, former NFL quarterback Jeff Garcia. The former couple also share daughters Presley, 18, and Faith, 14.)

“I have to be enough for myself and for him and for my children, and I was never enough for him,” she said. “That’s an issue that I feel like is his issue.”

Describing the relationship with Danny as unhealthy, Carmella continued, “If I could change it for him, I would, but I can’t. The ship was sinking and I needed to save myself.”

Carmella admitted it was tough watching their relationship on RHOC and added that she has enlisted the help of therapists to move forward.

“I’ve struggled over the years [with] suppressing pain, and I felt like this is exactly where I needed to be,” she said. “I needed to walk through it, and the only way through it is straight through it.”

Carmella and Danny’s relationship problems have been shown on RHOC, with episode 6 showing some of their issues.

“It’s been about four years since Danny’s infidelity. And, admittedly, I do have a wall of resentment.” Carmella said on episode 6, adding, “But I do love him, I do want to live life with him, I do need to know how to forgive, and not just for him, but for myself. I just have to figure out how to do it.”

For his part, Danny told Carmella during the episode that he wanted to restore the feelings they had in the initial stages of their relationship.

“I just want you back to where you felt like the way you did in the beginning,” Danny told her at the time. “I understand you can’t get there, but.”

Carmella told him, “I’m not getting over it. I made it through it, but I’m not getting over it.”

Harry Potter Officially Takes Over Streaming Ahead of HBO Max Reboot

Published

on

01159473_poster_w780.jpg

One of the biggest fantasy franchises of all time is getting a major HBO reboot that has already been greenlit for a second season, and Season 1 hasn’t even released yet! With the second installment in production, fans have begun revisiting the previous adaptation in preparation for the series’ debut.

In April 2023, HBO announced it would release a Harry Potter TV series featuring a brand-new cast and made a bold promise to adapt all seven books, with each season covering a Harry Potter title. The adaptation promised to be a “faithful adaptation to the books,” since the movies cut and altered some content to fit the big screen. While some people were excited about the Harry Potter TV adaptation, it also drew backlash because of J.K. Rowlings involvement in the production, especially her views toward the LGBT+ community.

As of writing, Season 2 of the Harry Potter HBO series has entered production and recently announced its newest cast members: Rafe Spall as Arthur Weasley, Molly Hewitt-Richards as Moaning Myrtle, and Jasper Ambrose as Colin Creevey. So, it comes as no surprise that fans have begun to not only revisit the first Harry Potter installment, but the second one as well. The 2002 sequel, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, has recently appeared on the streaming charts, landing at #10 on HBO Max’s Top 10 Movies worldwide, just below Bad Guys. This feature follows 2001’s Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and explores Harry’s second year at Hogwarts. Since its release, Chamber of Secrets has generated over $883.4 million worldwide, and its success prompted Warner Bros. to adapt Rowling’s third book, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, released in 2004.

Gryffindor Tower · Scarlet & Gold

🦁 Gryffindor

You have nerve. Not the reckless kind, but the deep, quiet courage that shows up even when you’re terrified — especially then.

  • Gryffindors don’t act because they’re fearless — they act because they understand that some things are worth being afraid for.
  • You stand up for people when it would be easier to look away.
  • You charge toward what’s right even when the odds are terrible.
  • Harry, Hermione, Ron — the heroes of Hogwarts’s greatest chapter — all called the tower with the scarlet and gold home. And now, so do you.

Slytherin Dungeon · Emerald & Silver

🐍 Slytherin

You are driven, sharp, and utterly clear-eyed about what you want and how to get there.

  • Slytherin has long been misunderstood — painted as the house of villains when it is, at its best, the house of those who refuse to accept limits placed on them by others.
  • You are resourceful, strategic, and you play the long game.
  • You know your worth. You protect your own fiercely.
  • The dungeon common room with its view of the Black Lake is yours — and the ambitions that will take you further than anyone expects are yours too.

Hufflepuff Basement · Yellow & Black

🦡 Hufflepuff

You are the kind of person that makes the world genuinely better just by being in it.

  • Hufflepuff is not the “safe” house or the “leftover” house — it is the house of those with the greatest heart and the most unwavering integrity.
  • You show up. You work hard. You don’t need glory or recognition — you do what’s right because it’s right.
  • Your loyalty never wavers, even when tested.
  • Nymphadora Tonks, Cedric Diggory, Newt Scamander — some of the wizarding world’s finest. And now you join them.

Ravenclaw Tower · Blue & Bronze

🦅 Ravenclaw

Your mind is your greatest gift, and you’ve always known it.

  • Ravenclaws are the thinkers, the questioners, the ones who find a puzzle irresistible and a good book better company than most people.
  • Ravenclaw is not merely about intelligence — it’s about the love of learning, the pursuit of truth, and the rare courage to admit you don’t know something yet.
  • You see the world with unusual clarity and depth.
  • Luna Lovegood, Filius Flitwick, Rowena Ravenclaw herself — all extraordinary, all original. And so are you.

13 Most Essential Fall Shows, Ranked

Published

on

Sarah Michelle Gellar offering a golden orb in Buffy the Vampire Slayer

When summer ends and the chill in the air sends a shiver down your spine, two types of TV viewers emerge: the ones who toss on their sweaters, warm up the kettle for some tea, and watch some cozy TV, and those who deck out their homes in their Halloween decor, light some candles, and turn on some spooky shows. No matter which one you are, we’ve officially entered the period where TV viewing shifts to fall essentials. Whether set in the fall or evoking the spirit of the season, the shows on this list are essentially fall.

Each year, we tend to get a smattering of new content that helps us prepare. For traditionalists, it’s the old faithfuls we turn to in order to get in the mood. From the quintessential Gilmore Girls to the campy horror live-action teen scream queens like Wednesday and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, we have shows that should definitely be on your fall must-watch list!

‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ (1997–2003)

It’s been nearly 30 years since the world met Buffy Summers (Sarah Michelle Gellar) in the iconic supernatural horror series, Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Created by Joss Whedon, the seven-season series follows a teenager who was picked by fate as the “Chosen One” to fight vampires, demons, and other forces of darkness. Set in the fictional town of Sunnydale, California, the beloved series treats high school as a horror, where real teenage struggles serve as the monsters to be defeated.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer subverts the traditional damsel-in-distress horror by making the titular heroine a strong inspiration. And we all need someone to look up to when it comes to the terrors of high school. Buffy the Vampire Slayer is essential fall viewing thanks to its spooky monster themes and its school setting as its prime locale. Fear not—journeys to the graveyards at night, as creepy beings lurk in the shadows, are the show’s modus operandi. As Buffy grew up, the series allowed her and the gang to embark on fresh starts, just as every fall brings. As you pack away your bathing suits for the season and bring out the leather jackets and chunky sweaters, put on some Buffy the Vampire Slayer for prime cool-weather viewing.

‘Abbott Elementary’ (2021–Present)

Perhaps the greatest sitcom to come out of the 2020s is the hilarious Abbott Elementary. Created by Quinta Brunson, the hit ABC series follows the dedicated teachers at the underfunded titular elementary school in Philadelphia. The mockumentary-style comedy chronicles the daily struggles and momentary triumphs of the devoted and passionate staff as they battle low budgets, bureaucratic hurdles, and unexpected hijinks. Featuring a stellar ensemble led by Brunson, Abbott Elementary is a feel-good comedy that brings just a tinge of nostalgia from your school days.

Though Abbott Elementary smartly documents an entire school year, it’s still a fall essential because each new season brings a brand-new school year. Though many school years technically begin while the summer sun is still burning, the start of the school year still evokes fall. If you watch the series in real time, you can also follow the real-time progression of Janine (Brunson) and company as they welcome their new class of whipsmart kiddos. And yes, the kids do matriculate to a new grade each year. Abbott Elementary is a simple joy. It’s pure escapism that harkens back to simpler times.

‘Only Murders in the Building’ (2021–Present)

For decades, we thought we knew who the Three Amigos were, but then Selena Gomez began working with Steve Martin and Martin Short, and a new trio was born. Created by John Hoffman and Martin, Only Murders in the Building has become a long-running masterpiece. Entering Season 6 later this year, the cozy murder-mystery series follows three neighbors—Charles-Haden Savage (Martin), Oliver Putnam (Short), and Mabel Mora (Gomez)—who begin a true-crime podcast inspired by the literal corpses that roll up in their upscale New York apartment, the Arconia. As they dig up crimes, they uncover deep secrets about their neighbors and realize a killer is among them. Alongside a star-studded cast of series regulars and beloved guest stars, Only Murders in the Building is a low-stakes comedic thriller.

Many TV lovers seek something cozy to curl up and watch. Only Murders in the Building is very much that. Through the comforting cadence of poking fun at true-crime podcasts, Only Murders in the Building is the perfect show to watch as the temperature drops. With a usual late-summer or early-fall release, the series has gone hand-in-hand with the season. If fall fashion in New York is your thing, the characters love to layer up in chunky sweaters, heavy overcoats, and stylish hats and scarves. Only Murders in the Building also evokes the season, as its New York backdrop features changing leaves, and warm-toned colors capture the autumn atmosphere. The narrative also happens to pair perfectly with a nice cup of cocoa. Very few true-crime shows are as safe and comforting as Only Murders in the Building.

There are very few families more iconic than The Addams Family. With a plethora of movies and animations based on the IP, a new generation was welcomed into the clan. Tim Burton‘s hit Netflix series Wednesday brings the titular daughter to the forefront as she attends Nevermore Academy. With a dark color palette setting the tone of the series, the Jenna Ortega-led series is the perfect show to binge on an autumn night.

With haunting thrills, chilling twists, and a set of beloved and newfound fan-favorite characters, Wednesday exudes the aura of autumn. Having a spooky background naturally woven in, Burton’s brilliant mind only adds to the flavor and spice. As we’ll often discuss on this list, when a show takes a journey into the woods, it automatically screams fall. When not on school grounds, Wednesday spends much of the action in the forests of Jericho, Vermont, home to terrifying creatures, mysterious creatures, and a mist and fog that lead to a wonderment of danger. Plus, with its two seasons, each featuring a spooky-tinged Lady Gaga track—”Bloody Mary (TikTok Remix)” and “The Dead Dance”—Wednesday is a perfect segue to Halloween.

You do not do friendship at half volume, and neither does he.
What you want is somebody who says yes to the plan before you have finished describing the
plan.

  • Dustin is the friend the entire show runs on: loyal past the point of sense,
enthusiastic about everything, and incapable of leaving anybody behind.
  • You have the same instinct. Your friendships are loud, specific and slightly ridiculous,
and they last for decades because of it.
  • He is also the one person who would take your strangest interest completely seriously,

  • You would have a group chat. It would never once be quiet.

  • You share her refusal to sit still. Neither of you has ever accepted a night in when

You have no patience for pleasant lies, and she has no ability to
tell them. What looks like coldness from the outside is the most reliable friendship on this
list.

  • Wednesday never says a kind thing she does not mean, which makes the rare ones count for
    an enormous amount.
  • You would rather be told the truth than be made comfortable. She is constitutionally
incapable of offering you anything else.
  • Underneath all of it she is ferociously protective. She simply refuses to make a
    performance out of caring.
  • Do not expect a birthday message. Do expect her to ruin anyone who wrongs you.

Seong Gi-hun

You look after whoever is having the worst day. So does he. It is
the least strategic way to move through the world and the best possible quality in a friend.

  • Gi-hun is not the strongest player in Squid Game, or the cleverest. He is the one who
keeps choosing to protect somebody else, over and over, at genuine cost to himself.
  • You have the same instinct. You notice who is struggling and you stay with them, long
after anybody would blame you for leaving.
  • He is a flawed friend, and that is part of why it lands. He lets people down, then comes
back and tries again, which is more than most manage.
  • He would give you his last chance and never once mention that he had done it.

Snag your PSL and turn on PLL, aka Pumpkin Spice Latte and Pretty Little Liars. The suspenseful and thrilling series is set in Rosewood, Pennsylvania, as four best friends—Aria Montgomery (Lucy Hale), Emily Fields (Shay Mitchell), Hanna Marin (Ashley Benson), and Spencer Hastings (Troian Bellisario)—have their secrets dramatically exposed as they are threatened by the anonymous “A,” who begins harassing the girls after the mysterious disappearance of their clique leader, Alison DiLaurentis (Sasha Pieterse).

With the series set in the fall and winter semesters, the show not only provides fall vibes with its suspenseful storylines, but also the fashion the characters wear. The autumnal atmosphere is only enhanced by those dreary, rain-filled scenes. Although the series didn’t air during the fall, and there are certainly some episodes that veer into wintertime, diehard fans go back to watching the show when the fall season hits, as PLL is a guiltless slasher series for those who like suspense more than screams.

It’s the season of the witch, so we certainly couldn’t leave Charmed off the list. Known as The Charmed Ones, the most powerful good witches of all time, sisters Prue (Shannon Doherty), Piper (Holly Marie Combs), Phoebe Halliwell (Alyssa Milano), and later Paige Matthews (Rose McGowan), must harness their combined Power of Three to protect the world from evil beings in modern-day San Francisco. During a time in which Buffy the Vampire Slayer was giving teens vampires, Charmed brought the supernatural through magic. With a dominating female-led presence and a cult following of fans, Charmed holds a firm place in television history.

Between the fall vibes and compelling themes, fans often turn to Charmed to get prepared for some cozy nights in. The Halliwell Sisters have become icons in their own right, representing the idea that good will ultimately prevail against evil. There hadn’t been a coven more beloved until we met American Horror Story‘s coven at Miss Robichaux’s Academy. The series did receive a reboot starring Melonie Diaz, Madeleine Mantock, and Sarah Jeffrey, but the new generation didn’t pack as much of a punch.

Absolutely, there is a certain audience who will appreciate the brilliance of Twin Peaks. It may be hard to get into, but if you fulfill your destiny of finishing, you’ll understand the decades of hype and lore of Twin Peaks. Filled with signature David Lynch surrealism and eccentricities, Twin Peaks became an absolute game-changer in the type of stories and characters that could be shared on network television. An American horror soap opera, Twin Peaks features a story that must be seen to be believed. From the naked corpse of the homecoming queen to the possession of her father to Log Lady (Margaret Lanterman) is the most wonderfully twisted series that today’s shows aspire to be.

The setting of the fictional Pacific Northwestern town brings fall to the forefront. Through its wickedly dark themes, spooky atmosphere, and now-retro vibes, Twin Peaks has become a fire-lit, rainy night in bingeworthy viewing for fanatics. The series brilliantly weaves mystery, crime, and supernatural elements with that autumnal mist through the leafless trees of Washington.

The cinematography of Virgin River screams fall! The small-town, cozy-feeling series has become a blanket and snuggle show. The romantic drama set in a picturesque northern California town has been compared to “a soap opera in a sweater.” Virgin River follows Mel Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge), who answers an ad to work as a midwife and nurse practitioner in a remote northern California town. Believing it to be a perfect place to start fresh and escape a life of trauma, Mel soon discovers that small-town living is not what she thought it might be.

Virgin River is a low-stress, life-lesson-teaching, heartfelt romance that brings Hallmark vibes on a Netflix budget. The series, based on the novels by Robyn Carr, has earned a devoted following that is filled with wholesome charm, exuding escapism. Just imagine being whisked away to Virgin River, looking out at the mountains, with a morning cup of coffee while wearing your cozy sweater. That’s the escapism that Virgin River celebrates.

Set in the chilling, supernatural hamlet of Mystic Falls, Virginia, The Vampire Diaries exudes the fall. The CW teen drama followed human Elana Gilbert (Nina Dobrev) as she suddenly falls for fellow student-slash-century-old vampire Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley). When his brother Damon (Ian Somerhalder) comes to town, the relationship becomes more complicated as he is on a mission to bring back their past love, Katherine Pierce, a doppelgänger of Elena. With an inherent love triangle at the heart of the story, the brothers must keep Elena safe while maintaining their secret identities as vampires.

Based on the books by L.J. Smith, The Vampire Diaries is a guilty-pleasure watch that helped those Twilight fans continue their bloodthirsty desire for more vampire-centric love stories. For those who love campy horror romances, The Vampire Diaries will fulfill your every fantasy. If you’re looking for quality substance, maybe this one isn’t for you. The Vampire Diaries never strays away from what it’s destined to be. From the woods to the graveyard, the fall is screaming out on The Vampire Diaries.

The Archie Comics classic Sabrina the Teenage Witch has seen itself by many generations of consumers. Originally published in 1971, the titular character made her animated debut before Sabrina’s live-action TV debut in 1996, starring Melissa Joan Hart as Sabrina. The sitcom was light-hearted and fun, with just enough ’90s magic to make you giggle. However, a generation later, Archie Comics released Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, a darker take on the titular character. Writer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa took his work from page to screen with a Netflix budget.

The highly anticipated series starred Kiernan Shipka as Sabrina Spellman alongside an ensemble cast. The spell-binding world was a much darker adaptation than the ’90s show, but it screamed a gothic, autumn-esque supernatural thriller. Greendale provides that Halloween feel with the mysterious woods and bountiful witchcraft. Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is a tried-and-true coming-of-age series that brings bold and dark themes through the lens of teenage life.

Mourning the family patriarch. The Kardashian family has opened up over the years about the painful loss of Robert Kardashian. The late attorney, who shared Kourtney, Kim, Khloé and Rob with ex-wife Kris Jenner, died of esophageal cancer in 2003 — a devastating loss for all four of his children and his ex-wife. (Robert and […]

Esophagitis is a condition that involves the swelling and irritation of tissues lining the esophagus. Without treatment, esophagitis can lead to a condition called Barrett’s esophagus, which can raise the risk of developing esophageal cancer, according to the Mayo Clinic.

Robert died at 59 in September, 2003 following a battle with esophageal cancer. In addition to Kim, Robert shared daughters Kourtney Kardashian and Khloé Kardashian and son Rob Kardashian with Kris.

Over the years, Kim’s sister Khloé, 42, has been particularly candid about her father‘s death.

“At the funeral, when I saw my father in his casket, I completely fell apart,” Khloé recalled in her 2015 memoir, Strong Looks Better Naked. ”I don’t remember the details, but apparently I was an emotional wreck, and I’m told that I was so distraught I actually passed out. At one point I fell to the floor kicking and screaming, and I had to be sedated. It was really intense. I refused to believe my father was gone.”

Khloé also spoke about how quickly the family lost Robert following his diagnosis during an April 2025 episode of her podcast, “Khloé in Wonder Land.”

“My dad died really quickly,” Khloé divulged. “He had esophageal cancer and I think he died six or seven weeks after diagnosis.”

She added, “I don’t think he could accept himself that it was terminal, but he never used those words with us.”

For her part, Kim has credited Robert, who worked on the infamous O.J. Simpson murder trial, as influencing her interest in studying law and giving her advice about the profession.

Kim told Vogue in 2019, “He once said to me, ‘I think you’d be great at it. But I also think that it’s super stressful and exhausting. So, if you want a stress-free life, maybe don’t follow through with law school.”

At the Television Critics Association’s winter press tour in 2020, Kim reflected on growing up around her dad’s work.

“I think that by the time I was a teenager and he was working on the O.J. case, I was sneaking in his office, looking at all of the evidence and things I shouldn’t have been looking at,” she said.

She continued: “Maybe it was in my soul for years that that’s what I would have wanted to do. And I’ve even seen interviews pop up now from six or seven years ago. People ask what I wanted to do if I wasn’t filming my show. I always said I wanted to be a crime scene investigator or an attorney.”

Zack Snyder Officially Suggests Sinister Reason Behind Removal From DCEU

Published

on

01612493_poster_w780.jpg

During his time as the de facto architect of the DC Extended Universe, director Zack Snyder managed to make three movies before the reins of the franchise were taken away from him. The reason given at the time was that Snyder was dealing with a personal tragedy and simply could not devote the time necessary to complete work on Justice League. In a new interview, the filmmaker suggested a more sinister reason behind his firing. Warner Bros. infamously hired Joss Whedon to rewrite Justice League and oversee reshoots, resulting in a movie that underperformed at the box office and was criticized for being tonally all over the place. Snyder’s wife forbade him from watching the theatrical version, and he continues to honor her wish.

He told Variety that he still hasn’t seen the theatrical cut of Justice League, but fortunately, he was able to fulfill his vision for the movie thanks to a massive wave of fan support some years ago. He said that the months following the personal tragedy — Snyder lost his daughter while working on the 2017 release — were especially difficult because of the added blow of being removed from Justice League. He confirmed that his time at Warner Bros. during the DCEU era was wrought with tension and interference from the studio. “They had this massive IP that’s worth a ton and I can understand wanting to protect it as best they could since all their jobs depended on it working,” he said.

Your Universe Has Been Chosen
You Belong In…

Your answers point to the iconic universe your values, your instincts, and your particular way of seeing the world were built for. This is where you would find your people — and your purpose.

A Galaxy Far, Far Away

Star Wars

You believe in the cause — in the idea that freedom is worth fighting for even when the odds are impossible and the empire is vast.

  • You are drawn to the moral clarity of a universe where hope itself is a form of resistance.
  • You’d find your people in the Rebellion — a ragtag coalition of true believers held together by conviction more than resources.
  • Star Wars is fundamentally a story about ordinary people choosing to matter in an extraordinary conflict — and that is exactly your kind of story.
  • The Force may or may not be with you. But the will to use it for something larger than yourself certainly is.

Middle-earth

Lord of the Rings

You understand, in the deepest part of yourself, that the journey matters as much as the destination — and that the world’s beauty is worth protecting even at great cost.

  • Middle-earth is a world of ancient wonder, deep friendship, and a darkness that only retreats when enough small acts of courage accumulate.
  • You would thrive here because you value the fellowship more than the glory — the road more than the arrival.
  • Tolkien’s universe rewards patience, loyalty, and the willingness to carry something heavy across a very long distance.
  • Those are not burdens to you. They are simply how you move through the world.

The Wizarding World

Harry Potter

You believe that love, loyalty, and doing what’s right are not naive sentiments — they are the most powerful forces in any world, magical or otherwise.

  • The Wizarding World is a place of wonder hidden in plain sight, where learning is transformative and the bonds you form at school follow you into every battle.
  • You would flourish here because you take both the magic and the friendships seriously — and you understand that one without the other is incomplete.
  • Harry Potter’s universe ultimately rewards those who choose to stand for something even when standing is terrifying.
  • That choice — made quietly, without guarantee — is something you understand completely.

Westeros · The Known World

Game of Thrones

You see the world clearly — its power structures, its hypocrisies, its brutal arithmetic — and you are not paralysed by that clarity. You use it.

  • Westeros is a world that rewards intelligence, adaptability, and the willingness to understand that every alliance is also a negotiation.
  • You would survive here — possibly thrive here — because you don’t confuse the world as it is with the world as you’d like it to be.
  • Game of Thrones is a story about what happens when the idealists and the realists collide. You are sharp enough to know which one lasts longer.
  • Winter always comes. You are already prepared.

The United Federation of Planets

Star Trek

You believe the future is worth building — that curiosity, cooperation, and the expansion of understanding are not just ideals but the most practical path forward for any civilisation.

  • Star Trek is a universe where the questions matter as much as the answers, and where encountering something utterly alien is cause for wonder rather than fear.
  • You would belong here because you are fundamentally optimistic about what intelligence and decency can achieve — while being honest about how hard that achievement is.
  • The Federation is the universe’s most ambitious thought experiment: what if we actually got better?
  • You don’t just hope that’s possible. You think it’s the only thing worth working toward.

Zack Snyder’s DCEU Movies Drew a Mixed Response

Admitting that what he was about to suggest was quite “horrible,” Snyder continued, “They’d put (the franchise) in the hands of a madman — or so they thought — so the part of them thinking that, and this is going to sound horrible, ‘This thing that happened to Zack is a window for us to take the movie back now’.” Snyder’s three DCEU movies — Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Zack Snyder’s Justice League — drew mixed critical response, but grossed around $2 billion worldwide. He recently premiered a passion project, The Last Photograph, at the Toronto International Film Festival after a mostly unsuccessful stint making movies for Netflix. Russell Andrews Makes Painful ‘On The Clock’ Admission

Published

on

Wearing black

Russell Andrews knows that an ALS diagnosis changes the conversation around the future. But rather than retreat from public life, the actor has chosen a different path, one built around advocacy, visibility, and gratitude for the people standing beside him.

In a deeply personal new interview, Andrews reflected on the uncertainty of living with the progressive disease, the fear he felt for his children, and the emotional reality of watching his fiancée remain committed through a battle neither of them expected.

An ALS diagnosis affects more than the person receiving it, and Russell Andrews is acutely aware of that reality.

While discussing his relationship with actress and fiancée, Erica Tazel, Andrews became emotional as he reflected on what her support had meant since learning he had the progressive neurological disease.

More than a decade younger than him, Tazel has remained committed through a period that has forced both of them to confront difficult questions about the future.

For Andrews, that loyalty was impossible to overlook because he understood exactly what she was giving up.

The actor explained that their profession often demanded complete mental, emotional, and physical focus. Yet Tazel continued to devote time and energy to supporting him and helping his family through an increasingly challenging chapter.

“But to take away from that time, to give that to me, or to be a shoulder or a hug, or some piece for my children, it takes so much away from her,” he told the Daily Mail.

What moved him most was that her commitment had never wavered. He shared, “And then to still be on the same page with me, to still say ‘yes’ in spite of all that’s going on.”

That perspective was what led Andrews to make perhaps his most heartbreaking admission. “I’m kind of on the clock,” he said.

Andrews Turned A Personal Health Crisis Into An ALS Mission

Those thoughts about time have also shaped how Russell Andrews approaches his diagnosis publicly.

Instead of disappearing from the spotlight, the Peppermint” actor has increasingly embraced advocacy work, using his experience to bring attention to ALS and the urgent need for research.

Speaking alongside EverythingALS founder Indu Navar, Andrews explained that he now saw awareness as part of his responsibility.

He referenced the many public figures who had battled the disease, including Eric Dane, while emphasizing that no single person carried the fight alone.

According to him, “I will not say that I grabbed the mantle, if you will, you know, the baton. However, I do understand what my place is right now, and we all need visibility.”

Meanwhile, the 64-year-old refuses to surrender to the idea that ALS will always remain incurable. In fact, he has already mapped out a future for himself that stretches far beyond what many might expect after such a diagnosis.

“I have a 20-year plan,” Andrews revealed. His goal is simple: stay around long enough to witness the breakthrough patients have spent decades hoping for. In his words, “I plan to be here on the day when someone walks in with that bottle and says, ‘We have it. We figured it out.’”

Russell Andrews Kept His Diagnosis From His Children Until He Could Tell Them Face-To-Face

Long before Andrews began speaking publicly, he was carrying the news privately.

After years of unexplained symptoms, including numbness in his fingers, weakness, and repeatedly dropping things, he eventually sought treatment at Cedars-Sinai. Initially, he believed he might have suffered a stroke.

“I thought it was a stroke because my symptoms were dropping things, numbness in my fingers,” he told the outlet

Instead, doctors eventually reached a very different conclusion. He explained, “Through the process of elimination, it ended up being that it was ALS after the final test.”

The diagnosis brought immediate questions about how much time he had left, but doctors couldn’t provide a definitive answer. Yet Andrews said the hardest conversation wasn’t with his neurologist. It was with his children.

He deliberately held onto the diagnosis until he could gather them together in person, unwilling to deliver life-changing news through a phone call or text message.

The actor described his children as his best friends and said they had remained remarkably strong throughout the ordeal. Even so, he knows the burden they carry often surfaces only in private moments, moments no parent ever wants their children to face.

More From The Blast

Andrews Was In Denial Before Deciding To Go Public With Diagnosis

The reality of living with ALS did not hit Russell Andrews all at once. While the actor has been remarkably candid since announcing his diagnosis, he has admitted that accepting the disease was a process.

In fact, after receiving the news, his first instinct was not to become an advocate or public face for awareness efforts. It was to retreat and try to make sense of what had happened.

Speaking to PEOPLE in August, Andrews acknowledged that he struggled to fully believe the diagnosis at first.

“I went home a little numb,” he told the outlet, adding, “I think I was in denial, to be honest. I have to pull the ego out for a moment, but I was. Because I wasn’t showing signs of rapid decline.”

Like many patients, Andrews found himself confronting questions that have no easy answers. He admitted one of his earliest reactions was to ask why this had happened to him.

However, Andrews said his outlook began to shift after attending an ALS event earlier this year.

Instead of focusing on himself, he found himself surrounded by patients, caregivers, and families all navigating the same devastating disease. The experience changed how he viewed his own situation.

The actor ultimately realized that remaining silent no longer felt like an option. “But I ran out of reasons not to,” he shared. That realization ultimately became a turning point.

Eric Dane’s Rapid Decline Became A Sobering Reminder Of What ALS Can Do

Wearing black
ZUMAPRESS.com / MEGA

Before Russell Andrews’ diagnosis, Eric Dane’s public battle with the disease unfolded in front of millions of people and demonstrated just how quickly life can change after an ALS diagnosis.

In April 2025, the “Euphoria” star publicly revealed that he had been diagnosed with ALS.

“I have been diagnosed with ALS,” Dane said in a statement to PEOPLE, adding, “I am grateful to have my loving family by my side as we navigate this next chapter.”

Even after sharing the diagnosis, Dane remained committed to working. He continued filming “Euphoria” and later gave an emotional television interview in which he discussed how rapidly the disease was progressing.

By June 2025, he revealed that he had lost the use of his right arm. In subsequent months, reports documented increasing mobility challenges as the disease advanced.

What made Dane’s story particularly devastating was the speed of the decline. ALS patients can experience dramatically different timelines, and Dane’s became one of the most visible examples of how unpredictable the disease can be.

Tragically, on February 19, 2026, Dane died at age 53, less than a year after publicly disclosing his diagnosis. His family later shared that he spent his final days surrounded by those closest to him.

‘Coyote vs. Acme’ Officially Passes Its Biggest Box Office Milestone Yet

Published

on

coyote-vs-acme-poster.jpg

Last week, Coyote vs. ACME proved Warner Bros. wrong by earning more than the company’s $30 million tax write-off. Now, the latest Looney Tunes film has shown demand, hitting another milestone just 48 hours before it enters other markets, thus proving a consensus among fans online that this media conglomerate has no idea what fans want. Could this be a sign the company should pay more attention to its target audience?

Coyote vs. ACME is a live-action/animated hybrid legal comedy where Wile E. Coyote sues ACME for all their malfunctioning products, but his lawyer doesn’t know the lawsuit was just a ploy to catch the Road Runner. As the case draws public attention, it is later revealed that a conspiracy was at work behind the scenes, showing that ACME has done more harm than just “cartoon injury.” Warner Bros. initially pulled the feature from its release, along with other highly anticipated projects like Batgirl, but after backlash and a campaign to bring it to the big screen, Warner Bros. let the filmmakers find a new distributor, saving the film.

Last week, Coyote vs. ACME earned more than Warner Bros.’ tax write-off. This week, it has officially surpassed its production budget. Cartoon Brew reported that Coyote vs. ACME has grossed more than $82.8 million worldwide after three weekends, exceeding its reported $70–72 million production budget. The film is also set to expand to more theaters this week, so its box office total could keep growing as more audiences get the chance to see it.

Critics praised Coyote vs. ACME as entertaining and noted room for “childish whimsy.” They also praised the film for turning Coyote into a role model and for its relevance to current events. Minka Kelly‘s everyday style is all about that sleek, cool-girl vibe — but when on set for Ransom Canyon, her wardrobe veers toward country, cozy-chic. We’ve seen her nail the Western vibe with oversized flannels, autumnal maxi dresses and denim overalls, but we stopped in our horse tracks when we saw the star wear a Fair Isle cardigan style that’s perfect for upcoming sweater weather.

The actress touted the hit Netflix show on Instagram while simultaneously showing off her cute country-girl looks. Each slide gave fans fall fashion inspiration, however, it was her relaxed brown cardigan that made Us stop, stare and then immediately hit the internet to find one just like it. We don’t know exactly where Kelly got hers for the show, but we found a sweater that looks almost identical on Amazon.

The Saodimallsu Fair Isle Cardigan Sweater is a pretty spot-on pick for Kelly’s Texan-inspired getup, complete with a chocolate brown hue, classic Fair Isle stitch pattern and a relaxed silhouette that’ll make you wear it on repeat. We swear, it’s so cozy, a little kitty cat might snuggle up with you while you’re wearing it. Hey, if it can happen for Kelly, it can happen to you, too!

One of our favorite pastimes is looking at what the biggest celebrities are wearing, applying and using daily. . . and then adding those exact products to our cart. The only issue? Sometimes those cool-girl items can cost a pretty penny, aka they’re totally out of our budget. That’s why we’re fully taking advantage of […]

While this Amazon pick has a striking resemblance to the A-lister’s, there are a few differing features that stand out. We seriously love the ribbed hem and cuffs that give it a little extra something, as well as the extra pink and white details for a versatile touch. Oh, and the pearl-like front buttons allow you to wear it fully closed as a simple sweater or layered over a shirt or dress à la Kelly.

Made with soft knit materials, this sweater feels nice on the skin, stays warm in cold climates and has a thick feel that shoppers appreciate. It has an easy-going, oversized fit that’s ideal for cuddling up in, but if you want something a little more fitted, reviewers advise sizing down.

You can shop the sweater in ten colors, including classy neutrals and fun brights, but to get Kelly’s look, you’ll want to opt for this fall-ready brown pick. Psst, the color itself is so on trend!

I was happily surprised with these sweaters,” wrote one Amazon shopper, who purchased two for their daughters. “Colors are really nice, yarn is soft.”

Another person who styled it through the winter gave it a perfect five-star rating. “Well-made Fair Isle-type sweater,” they wrote. “True to size, not bulky, great colors. Wore through the holidays with many compliments.”

Whether you throw on the Amazon sweater style with a white tee, jeans and flats for a casual look or layer it over a fall maxi dress with boots like Kelly, you’re bound to nail the cool, country girl style to a T. Chances are you’ll love the knit top so much, you’ll wear it now, in the fall and well into winter!
