Shia LaBeouf and Wife Mia Goth’s Relationship Timeline, Splits
“It’s better on the other side,” the Transformers: Dark of the Moon actor told E! News, noting how his perspective on marriage had shifted after tying the knot with Goth. “I’ve been lied to my whole life. You always hear these people who are all cynical, like, ‘Ah, man, once you get married everything changes. But for the better though!”
At the time, LaBeouf was excited about making new memories as a family, telling the outlet, “I’m about to create some new ones. My mom will be involved, her mom will be involved. I’ll probably have to do Hanukkah and Christmas and Kwanza and the whole nine.”

MonsterVerse Fans Have Until April To Watch the Sci-Fi Franchise’s Best Spin-Off on Prime Video
Monarch: Legacy of Monsters has quietly become one of the easiest ways for casual viewers to dip into Apple TV+ without fully committing. That is a big reason the MonsterVerse series has been hanging around the broader streaming conversation even between seasons. That easy-access window is apparently about to close.
Prime is currently surfacing Monarch: Legacy of Monsters through its Apple TV+ sample setup, while the title’s direct Prime listing also makes clear that the full series lives under the Apple TV+ umbrella. On Apple TV’s own current charts, the show is still doing real business too, sitting at #1 worldwide on March 11, according to FlixPatrol.
The cast is led by Anna Sawai as Cate Randa, Kiersey Clemons as May, Ren Watabe as Kentaro, Mari Yamamoto as Keiko, Anders Holm as Young Bill Randa, Joe Tippett as Tim, Wyatt Russell as Young Lee Shaw, and Kurt Russell as older Lee Shaw, with Season 2 already underway.
So if viewers have been using Prime’s sample setup as their route into the series, April sounds like the point where that convenience dries up. For MonsterVerse fans, that means one thing: If you want to keep following Monarch, you may need to jump fully into Apple TV+ rather than just sampling around the edges.
The Truth Is In Here — The Collider TV Quiz!
This week, X marks the spot. Eight conspiratorial questions to see if you’re a real X-Files fan… or if you’re an alien posing as an agent.
What Is Season 2 of ‘Monarch’ About?
The Season 2 synopsis is as follows:
“Season 2 will pick up with the fate of Monarch — and the world — hanging in the balance. The dramatic saga reveals buried secrets that reunite our heroes (and villains) on Kong’s Skull Island, and a new, mysterious village where a mythical Titan rises from the sea. The ripple effects of the past make waves in the present day, blurring the bonds between family, friend and foe — all with the threat of a Titan event on the horizon.”
The series continues to be produced by Legendary Television, with showrunner Chris Black leading Season 2. Executive producers include Matt Shakman, Joby Harold, and others, with Toho Co., Ltd. — the home of Godzilla — also involved. And Apple isn’t stopping here. More MonsterVerse shows are in development, including a Young Lee Shaw prequel with Wyatt Russell set to reprise his role.

Gene Hackman’s Friends Fire Back After Liza Minnelli’s Memoir Bombshell
Friends of Gene Hackman aren’t staying silent amid recent allegations made against him a year after his passing.
Actress Liza Minnelli accused the actor of being “dismissive” and “rude” to her when they worked together on the 1975 film “Lucky Lady,” but Hackman’s friends claim it’s not true.
Gene Hackman, alongside his wife Betsy Arakawa and one of their dogs, was mysteriously found dead in his New Mexico home last February.
Gene Hackman’s Friends Hit Back At Liza Minnelli

It’s been more than a year since Hackman’s passing, but he faces a fresh allegation from his former co-star Liza Minnelli, who accused him of being “downright rude” to her in her recently released memoir, “Kids, Wait Till You Hear This!”
According to a report, Hackman’s Friends are not happy with the Broadway icon and have hit back at her claims.
“Gene can’t defend himself,” a longtime friend of the late actor said. “Going after someone who’s dead feels cowardly.”
“If Liza wants to talk about rude behavior, she should look in the mirror,” a harsher source noted. “She was a nightmare on set.”
The Late Actor’s Friends Claim Liza Minnelli Was Not ‘Easy’ To Work With

In the Stanley Donen-directed comedy-drama, the 79-year-old Oscar-winning actress played Claire, a singer who promises to help two businessmen, Kibby Womack [Hackman] and Ellison Walker [Burt Reynolds], smuggle alcohol from Mexico to the U.S.
However, it appears that there were some underlying tensions on set as sources told journalist, Rob Shuter, that things didn’t really go smoothly due to Minnelli.
“Liza was often late, sometimes sick, and not always prepared,” the insider said. “Working with someone struggling with addiction isn’t easy.”
“She wanted to be treated like Hollywood royalty,” they continued. “And when she didn’t get that, things got difficult fast.”
Some Broadway insiders also alleged that Minnelli faced such complaints from people who worked with her on “Victor/Victoria.”
“Cast members would call in sick when they knew she was performing,” a theater insider said. “They joked they had ‘influenza with a Z.’”
What Liza Minnelli Said About Gene Hackman

The “Cabaret” actress wrote in her book that one of the reasons she agreed to star in the movie despite not liking it was because she “respected” Hackman’s work, although as she puts it, the feeling “wasn’t mutual.”
“I don’t like to whine, but [director] Stanley [Donen] later shared publicly that Gene was very dismissive of me during the film,” she writes, per USA Today. “It’s hard to go to work when the chemistry is absent. I think it’s fair to say that Gene was downright rude.”
In her book, Minnelli also claims that the film suffered from a “cliched script,” which “screamed disaster from page 1,” adding, “The powers that be made the old mistake of counting box-office receipts before the film was hatched — and we all paid the price.”
She continued, “Imagine a film where the script is lousy, the director gets increasingly frustrated, there are nasty tensions behind the scenes, and, worst of all, you have to spend months — six months — filming on an old, rickety boat off the coast of Mexico.”
Burt Reynolds Hinted That Gene Hackman Was Hard On Liza Minnelli

Hackman and his wife were found dead in their Santa Fe home in early 2025, and Minnelli notes that she “felt sad” to hear of their deaths.
However, before his death, Burt Reynolds, who passed away in 2018, claimed in his own memoir “But Enough About Me,” that Hackman was a “good” but “tough” actor who sometimes told Minnelli to shut up, and “we’d all have to walk off the set until he cooled off.”
“Gene’s not a bad guy, but he allowed Liza to distract him,” Reynolds continued. “Gene wasn’t the easiest to work with either. You’d do the rehearsal one way, and when you got to the take, he’d say, ‘You’re not gonna do it that way, are you?’ He’d do that to Liza, and she’d fall apart.”
What Caused The Actor’s Death?

Authorities have since said that Gene Hackman’s wife, Arakawa, died from hantavirus, while the famous actor died about a week later from a combination of severe heart disease, high blood pressure, and advanced Alzheimer’s disease.
“It is reasonable to conclude that Ms. Hackman passed first,” Heather Jarrell, New Mexico’s chief medical examiner, told reporters last year.
The couple’s dog, Zinna, was also found dead. They have since been laid to rest, with reports of legal tensions brewing between Hackman’s kids over his estate.

5 Years Later, Taylor Sheridan’s Forgotten Spy Thriller Makes a Free Streaming Comeback
For a while, Without Remorse felt like one of those movies that arrived, got discussed for a weekend, and then mostly evaporated into the streaming void. That happens a lot with direct-to-streaming action films, even when they are attached to a big author and a big star. Tubi has now given it a second shot.
Tubi’s March 2026 lineup officially added Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse, and the movie is currently showing up among the most-watched titles in the service’s streaming conversation. FlixPatrol also had it in the MGM Amazon Channels U.S. Top 10 on March 10, a sign that the movie is finding new viewers again.
Directed by Stefano Sollima and written by Taylor Sheridan and Will Staples, the film stars Michael B. Jordan as John Kelly, with Jodie Turner-Smith, Jamie Bell, Guy Pearce, and Lauren London rounding out the main cast. It originally launched on Prime Video in 2021 as a Tom Clancy franchise-starter that never quite became one. Plus, with Jordan heavily favored to win his first Academy Award this weekend for Sinners, the timing couldn’t be better.
From Broadway to Hollywood — The Collider Movie Quiz!
Plenty of movies were based on plays. So whip out your program and find your seat because the quiz curtain is about to rise.
Is ‘Without Remorse’ Worth Watching?
Collider’s review stated that Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse is a straightforward military action thriller that largely sticks to the familiar formula of the author’s previous adaptations. While the film doesn’t reinvent the genre or fully explore the depth of its lead character, it still delivers enough tactical action and political intrigue to satisfy fans of Tom Clancy–style storytelling. For viewers primarily interested in watching tactical operations, shootouts, and high-stakes military missions, the film delivers exactly what it promises.
“The Clancy adaptations are typically a tightrope where you never want to be too jingoistic while also ultimately approving the supremacy of the U.S. military as a force for global order, and Without Remorse is of a piece with those stories. It may start from the place of a revenge-thriller, but its heart lies in the power of the U.S. military.
That kind of story isn’t really for me, but I understand the appeal, and Without Remorse tells it fairly well. Considering that the Jack Ryan series is already headed towards its third season, there’s clearly an audience for what Clancy created, and I imagine those fans will be satisfied by Sollima’s adaptation and even happier at what gets teased during the mid-credits scene.”
Without Remorse is streaming now for free on Tubi.

Prince Harry And Meghan Blast Royal Author’s ‘Deranged’ Claims
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have hit back at claims by royal author Tom Bower suggesting Queen Camilla told a friend of hers that Meghan “brainwashed” Harry.
An excerpt from the upcoming book also took a dig at Harry’s Invictus Games initiative, claiming competitors were being overshadowed by orchestrated photo ops by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
It comes amid claims that Prince William and Prince Harry have remained estranged due to the future king’s refusal to speak to his younger brother.
Sussex Spokesperson Brands Royal Author’s Claims ‘Deranged’

Harry and Meghan have responded to a series of shocking claims that were featured in royal author Tom Bowers upcoming book “Betrayal: Power, Deceit and the Fight for the Future of the Royal Family.”
In the book, Bower alleged that Queen Camilla privately told a friend that the former “Suits” actress had “brainwashed” Harry amid the royal family’s feud.
He also claims the Sussexes’ relationship dynamics worried William and Kate, as they feared the pair were moving too fast with Meghan leading the charge.
Bower claims that the standoff caused both couples’ relationship to further sour, but a source close to Harry and Meghan has slammed the claims, calling them a “deranged conspiracy.”
“Mr. Bower’s commentary has long crossed the line from criticism into fixation. This is someone who has publicly stated, ‘The monarchy in fact depends on actually obliterating the Sussexes from our state of life,’ language that speaks for itself,” the spokesperson told Page Six.
They continued, “[Bower] has made a career out of constructing ever more elaborate theories about people he does not know and has never met. Those interested in facts will look elsewhere; those seeking deranged conspiracy and melodrama know exactly where to find him.”
Prince Harry And Meghan Also Responded To The Royal Author’s Invictus Games Dig

The Times put out an excerpt from Bower’s book wherein he claims that former Invictus Foundation chief Dominic Reid was worried that the competition was losing its juice and the sport had changed into “the Harry and Meghan show.”
The claims also suggested that the event wasn’t getting much attendance again, and competitors and their families were overshadowed by coordinated photo ops for the couple.
However, a spokesperson for the Invictus Games maintains that Bower’s claims are divorced from reality as they relate to the competition.
“It is disappointing to see The Times give prominence to commentary that appears driven by a long-established agenda rather than a genuine understanding of the Invictus Games and the community it supports,” the spokesperson noted about the royal author’s claims.
The Royal Author’s Claims Concerning The Invictus Games Were Called ‘Disrespectful’

The Invictus Games is an international multi-sport event specifically designed for wounded, injured, or sick servicemen and women, both active duty and veterans.
Since its first competition in 2014 in London, it has been held in various cities, including Orlando, Toronto, and Düsseldorf, using sport as a means to engage and rehabilitate wounded veterans.
The spokesperson in responding to the claims went further to spell out the good the Games have done, saying, “The Foundation exists to support the recovery and rehabilitation of wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veterans from around the world.”
“Attempts to question the legitimacy of competitors or diminish the experiences of those living with both physical injuries and invisible wounds such as PTSD are deeply disrespectful to the men and women the Games were created for,” they continued.
“The focus should remain where it belongs – on the courage, recovery, and camaraderie of those who have served,” the spokesperson added.
Lip Reader Reveals Argument Between Harry And William During Infamous Walkabout

Meanwhile, reports suggest Harry and William had an “argument” before they stepped out with their respective wife for their “awkward” Windsor walkabout following Queen Elizabeth’s death.
It was the first time they’d all come together following Harry and Meghan’s decision to drop their royal roles in 2020.
A new documentary, “Lip-Reading The Royals: What Are They Really Saying?” shows that the brothers had a heated exchange before they stepped out to greet well-wishers and inspect the flowers they’d laid outside.
Speaking on the programme, Lip reader Nicola Hickling said as they started to walk to the gates, William appeared to have told Kate, “let’s move,” per the Daily Mail.
After that, Harry touched William on his shoulder before the future king reportedly told the duke, “Why are we together? This is not the end.”
“And at that moment, Meghan chimes in ‘not today,’” Hickling continued. “She can obviously feel a tension here between William and Harry.”
The lipreader then said she believed Harry responded, “Not now, please, I didn’t foresee this,” possibly because he wasn’t aware of the joint engagement beforehand.
Kate then reportedly said, “Stop arguing.”
Prince Harry And William Remain Estranged Despite The Duke’s Attempts To Reach Out To The Future King

Author Omid Scobie recently shared that nothing has changed between Harry and William since the duke and his wife stepped down as working royals.
He told People Magazine that in 2023, “Harry was still waiting for that moment of accountability from his brother — an opportunity to talk about many of the grievances that have built up to this point and be able to move on from that.”
Unfortunately, as of 2026, “nothing has changed,” according to Scobie, who further noted that “the expectations and wants and wishes of Prince Harry are exactly the same as they were then — and none of them have been met.”
Scobie also hinted that the future king is the cause of the lengthened estrangement between the brothers, stating that the “ball has been in William’s court for some time now and he’s chosen not just to knock it back, but to kick it in the other direction.”

Star Trek’s Most Divisive Spin-Off Warps Past a Major Streaming Milestone
After ten episodes across almost two months, Star Trek: Starfleet Academy Season 1 came to an explosive end this past week with the finale episode, “Rubincon.” Directed by Olatunde Osunsanmi, this final episode was both satisfying in the way it tied up threads, but also neatly left the door open for more, given that the series has already been renewed for Season 2. This second season is likely to arrive sooner rather than later, following the news back in mid-February that filming had almost wrapped.
Expect the unexpected in Starfleet Academy Season 2, as co-showrunners Alex Kurtzman and Noga Landau are preparing to subvert your expectations and continue with their bold and often divisive storytelling choices. In an interview with Collider’s Samantha Coley, Kurtzman teased, “I think one of the things that we really like to challenge ourselves to do in the writer’s room is figure out ways to go against the expectation of what you think is going to happen.” He continued, “Because as an audience, that’s what we like to experience when we’re watching television or watching a movie, is like, how do you not stay ahead of the thing?”
But before getting ahead of ourselves, it’s worth basking in the afterglow of a successful final installment for the first season of this critically acclaimed spin-off. Although some audiences have proven less receptive, with the series facing backlash from review bombing upon arrival, it has been undeniably popular on streaming throughout its run. At the time of writing, Starfleet Academy has now surpassed the 50-day mark in the Paramount+ streaming top ten across all Amazon channels.

What Have Critics Said About ‘Starfleet Academy’?
Boasting an 88% score on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, Starfleet Academy has been a definite hit with critics, with many praising its breaking of the franchise mold and ensemble performances. In Samantha Coley’s official review of the new series for Collider, she awarded a near-perfect 9/10 score, saying, “Starfleet Academy is the best example of what Star Trek can and should be doing in this modern era — effortlessly inclusive, compelling, and innovative.”

Carmen Mejia Exonerated After 22 Years For Infant’s Bath Death
Carmen Mejia, a Texas woman who spent 22 years behind bars for the death of an infant she babysat, will not face deportation after courts cleared her name. Judges reviewed newly uncovered evidence and determined she did not cause the death of a 10-month-old child.
RELATED: 22-Year-Old Texas Woman Accused Of Fatally Shooting 41-Year-Old Following Fight Over Not Saying “Thank You”
The Story Behind Carmen Mejia’s 22-Year Sentence
On Monday, March 9, a judge cleared Carmen Mejia and dismissed the charges tied to the 2003 death of a 10-month-old boy who suffered fatal burns from scalding bathwater. A court previously convicted Mejia in 2005 and sentenced her to life in prison after the child sustained burns while she watched him at her home in Austin in 2003.
According to the Innocence Project, Mejia was at home with her four children when the incident happened. While she nursed her youngest child, her oldest daughter tried to bathe the infant. The water heater in the family’s rental home lacked safety features to prevent scald injuries, allowing the bathwater temperature to reportedly reach about 147.8 degrees Fahrenheit. The child suffered third-degree burns within seconds of touching the water and later died at the hospital.
Carmen Speaks Out After New Evidence Clears Her Name
On Monday, March 9, Travis County District Court Judge P. David Wahlberg exonerated Carmen Mejia after the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals overturned her felony murder and child injury convictions. During the original trial, prosecutors relied on expert testimony claiming the injuries could only happen if an adult intentionally held the child in the water. Decades later, new expert testimony in post-conviction proceedings showed the injuries matched an accidental scalding. A burn expert explained that water that hot could cause those injuries “in a matter of seconds.” One of Mejia’s now-adult daughters told the court she remembered turning on the faucet while the baby was already in the bathtub. After reviewing the new evidence, the medical examiner changed the cause of death from homicide to accident.
Judge P. David Wahlberg dismissed Mejia’s indictment after the Court of Criminal Appeals ruled earlier this year that the newly discovered evidence proved she was “actually innocent.” Per NBC News, Carmen cried at her exoneration hearing and said she kept faith and prayed for justice throughout the 20 years she spent behind bars. “I never lost faith and hope — I never lost it in 22 years. I want to thank everybody who’s with me in this moment and to my judge,” Carmen said.
What’s Next For The Exonerated Texas Mom?
PEOPLE reports that authorities initially kept Mejia in custody after a court overturned her conviction because immigration officials placed a detainer on her case. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security later confirmed it would lift the detainer, allowing Mejia to remain in the United States following her exoneration.
Carmen Mejia came to the United States from Honduras in 1995 and held lawful permission to live and work in the country before her conviction. According to PEOPLE, she can remain in the U.S. until her Temporary Protected Status expires. At her exoneration, Judge Wahlberg acknowledged that nothing can give her back the 23 years she lost, but he expressed hope that her future will be bright from this day forward.
“There’s nothing that I can say at this point that will bring back those 23 years. Signing this piece of paper won’t bring it back. There is no amount of money that will ever compensate you for losing the best years of your life. I wish I had that power. What I can do is say to you that there is a reason to hope and believe that your future will be better every day from now on, and I pray that it is so,” the judge told Mejia.

Rebecca Gayheart Reacts to Eric Dane’s AI-Recreated Voice
Rebecca Gayheart and her family were particularly emotional when they heard an artificial intelligence recreation of late Eric Dane’s voice.
“He just had a lot of personality, and this voice captured that so perfectly,” Gayheart, 54, said during a Fast Company SXSW panel on Friday, March 13, per social media footage. “It sounded so real. It was a really emotional moment for us as a family, and for the nurses who were helping and his friends.”
Us Weekly confirmed in February that Dane died at the age of 53 after battling ALS. The Grey’s Anatomy alum is survived by his two daughters, Billie and Georgia, whom he shared with Gayheart.
Just weeks before his death, Dane participated in a voice restoration project backed by AI firm ElevenLabs.
“Shortly before he passed, Eric used ElevenLabs’ voice restoration technology to recreate his voice,” a statement on the organization’s website reads. “Hearing his restored voice meant his daughters would always be able to hear their father as he truly sounded. Eric became an early champion of our 1 Million Voices initiative, driven by a desire to ensure that others facing permanent voice loss could access the same technology.”
ALS, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, is a progressive neurological disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal control. It affects muscle control and voice loss, and there is presently no cure.
After the ElevenLabs project was complete, Gayheart, her kids, as well as Dane’s friends and colleagues were particularly moved by the outcome.
“We were all blown away by how … human it sounded,” the Jawbreakers actress noted on Friday, detailing her reaction to the AI voice. “It sounded just like him. I think the hope that it gave Eric because he was experiencing voice loss was exciting and really great to see.”
Dane publicly revealed in April 2025 that he was diagnosed with ALS, which quickly affected his motor skills.
“I’ve always had a sense of humor about this,” Dane said of his diagnosis in a Famous Last Words interview that aired on Netflix hours after his death last month. “It’s really kind of interesting what’s happening to my body. The mechanics of this disease is pretty interesting to me. It’s when you zoom in and look at how it affects the individual moments is when it can actually bring you down a little bit.”
Despite his health battle, Dane tried to always look on the bright side.
“My spirit has been surprisingly pretty buoyant through this journey,” he said. “I have no idea, there’s no reason for me to be happy in any individual moment, but I am. The progression of this thing is really just remarkable. You know, I’m pretty sure I sound pretty good too, but to me, I feel like I sound like a frog.”

Why Did Taylor Sheridan Dedicate Madison to Robert Redford?
Taylor Sheridan‘s The Madison featured a dedication to Robert Redford after a surprise connection that can be traced back to Yellowstone.
A tribute to Redford was included at the end of the Saturday, March 14, premiere. While Redford seemingly didn’t have any involvement with The Madison before his death in September 2025, he has played a role in Sheridan’s career.
While reflecting on the Yellowstone legacy in June 2023, Sheridan, 55, told The Hollywood Reporter in a profile that he originally pitched the show as a movie. Sheridan referred to it as “The Godfather in Montana” before it ended up in series development at HBO. At the time, Sheridan recalled HBO executives not supporting Kevin Costner in the main role as John Dutton.
“They said, ‘We want Robert Redford,’” he shared. “They said, ‘If you can get us Robert Redford, we’ll greenlight the pilot.’”
Sheridan then went to visit Redford — and convinced him to join the show.
“I drive to Sundance and spend the day with him and he agrees to play John Dutton,” Sheridan continued. “I call the senior vice president in charge of production and say, ‘I got him!’ ‘You got who?’ ‘Robert Redford.’ ‘What?!’ ‘You said if I got Robert Redford, you’d greenlight the show.’”
Sheridan continued: “And he says — and you can’t make this s*** up — ‘We meant a Robert Redford type.’“
Yellowstone ultimately landed at Paramount Network and aired for five seasons with Costner, 71, in the main role. Sheridan, meanwhile, didn’t end up working with Redford before his death at age 89.

The tribute in The Madison comes as Sheridan is celebrating another career win. After becoming a household name for Yellowstone, which aired from 2018 to 2024, Sheridan created prequels 1883 and 1923 as well as the spinoffs The Dutton Ranch and Marshals.
Sheridan has also worked on original shows Landman, Mayor of Kingstown, Lioness and Tulsa King. News broke in October 2025 that Sheridan closed a major with NBCUniversal. The five-year overall deal for film, TV and streaming will begin January 1, 2029, after Sheridan’s TV deal with Paramount — which goes through 2028 — officially ends.
Paramount will retain the rights to Yellowstone and the other franchises Sheridan created under his deal with the company, so he is expected to create brand new IP for NBCUniversal. Sheridan’s move came after Paramount’s recent merger with Skydance.
“I spent the first 37 years of my life compromising. When I quit acting, I decided that I am going to tell my stories my way, period,” Sheridan told THR in the 2023 profile. “If you don’t want me to tell them, fine. Give them back and I’ll find someone who does — or I won’t, and then I’ll read them in some freaking dinner theater. But I won’t compromise. There is no compromising.”
Sheridan expressed gratitude to Paramount for supporting his ideas.
“Because Paramount trusts me and gives me the time to go shoot 10 to 14 days for a television episode, we can treat it like a movie, and it looks like a movie,” he told Deadline in January 2022. “We can take the time to rehearse it and light it and build these set pieces. And if I call them and say, ‘I need two helicopters in one day,’ they just go, ‘Alright.’”
He added: “At the end of the day, to go to some of these locations where most people have never been, where you’re opening up a new world, and all of these places or characters in the story, to me, it’s fascinating.”
The Madison continues on Paramount+ Saturday, March 21.
