Shia LaBeouf Emerges From Jail After Alleged Bar Brawl
Shia LaBeouf appeared dull after spending the night in a New Orleans jail, emerging alone on Tuesday morning.
In photos exclusively obtained by the Daily Mail, the “Transformers” star was seen for the first time since being arrested for allegedly assaulting two men in a bar altercation.
The former child star is now facing two charges of simple battery, a spokesman for the New Orleans Police Department confirmed.
The photos showed him wearing the same white “Stacey Services” tee, joggers and black sneakers from the day before, as he ripped off a paper wristband.
LaBeouf refused to comment on how much his bail was before breaking into a jog. An eyewitness said he stopped at a Shell gas station and bought a Gatorade.

He was seen talking with fans and shopping at VooDoo Mart, where he bought a new shirt and glasses. In his new outfit, he was photographed chugging a Paradise Park lager.
The outing stood out because LaBeouf has previously claimed to be sober. It appeared he had been celebrating throughout the day and into the night.

Shia LaBeouf’s Arrest Details And Police Report
LaBeouf was in New Orleans for Mardi Gras when he was arrested outside a Royal Street bar in the French Quarter.
In a video from the altercation, he was seen headbutting a man before officers arrived.
According to the police report, a staff member tried to eject him from the bar, but the “Fury” star struck the victim several times using a closed fist.
He left but returned, “acting even more aggressive,” the report states. Multiple people tried to hold him down.
LaBeouf allegedly struck the same victim again in the upper body and punched another person in the nose. He was restrained by at least two men until officers arrived.
The New Orleans Police Department confirmed he was taken to a hospital for treatment of unknown injuries before being booked.
Footage showed him with a T-shirt over his head, blood on his arm, and his large back tattoo exposed.
At one point, he sat in the trunk of a vehicle speaking to people at the scene. He was also photographed on a gurney in an ambulance. It is unclear what led to the incident.

LaBeouf’s Long History Of Legal Trouble
This is not Shia LaBeouf’s first arrest. In 2014, he was arrested for disorderly conduct and criminal trespassing at Studio 54 in New York City after disrupting a Broadway performance of Cabaret.
Reports said he smoked in the theater, yelled at actors, and used vulgar language. He later pleaded guilty and was sentenced to six months of outpatient alcohol rehab.
In 2015, he was arrested for public intoxication in Austin, Texas. Two years later, he was arrested after an altercation at his anti-Trump art installation in Queens, though charges were dropped.
That same year, he was taken into police custody again in Savannah, Georgia, for public intoxication and disorderly conduct and later attended court-ordered rehab.
In 2020, there was another incident in Los Angeles involving misdemeanor battery and theft. That case led to mandated therapy, 12-step programs, and sobriety monitoring.

Shia LaBeouf’s Past Statements And Legal Battles
Besides his alcohol use, LaBeouf has also made the headlines for domestic violence.
In 2020, singer FKA Twigs, sued Shia LaBeouf over alleged abuse during their relationship.
She told the New York Times, “What I went through with Shia was the worst thing I’ve ever been through in the whole of my life. I don’t think people would ever think that it would happen to me. But I am not immune.”
As reported byVariety, the disgraced actor responded to the New York Times, admitting he had been “abusive to myself and everyone around me for years.”
However, he said many of the allegations were not true, while also stating he owed the women the opportunity to air their statements publicly and accept accountability for those things he had done.
Later, on the “REAL ONES” podcast, he said, “I hurt that woman. And in the process of doing that, I hurt many other people, and many other people before that woman. I was a pleasure-seeking, selfish, self-centered, dishonest, inconsiderate, fearful human being.”
In July 2025, lawyers confirmed that the case was settled out of court. In a joint statement, the former couple wished “each other personal happiness, professional success and peace in the future.”
