Steven Spielberg Teams Up With Netflix for a Brutally Vivid Docuseries
When Steven Spielberg‘s Jurassic Park came out in 1993, it changed the way we looked at dinosaurs. No longer were they drawings in a book or stop-motion in a cheesy movie. Thanks in part to the genius of Industrial Light & Magic, dinosaurs felt alive like never before. Now, the iconic director and visual effects studio are back together again for another dino story. This time, instead of the world of fiction, with dinosaurs impossibly living amongst modern humans, Netflix‘s The Dinosaurs is a four-part docuseries that goes back millions of years to show the rise and fall of their era — and if the story’s jaw-dropping visuals aren’t enough of a selling point, it’s all narrated by Morgan Freeman.
What Is ‘The Dinosaurs’ About?
Steven Spielberg, Morgan Freeman, Industrial Light & Magic, and Netflix have actually worked together before on the 2023 Netflix docuseries Life on Our Planet. The eight episodes covered the history of life on Earth from the very beginning to the animals of today. This was done through a combination of live-action footage, when possible, and CGI when needed, with the technology coming in handy for episodes that covered the reign of the dinosaurs.
The Dinosaurs covers the days of Tyrannosaurus Rex and company in four detailed episodes, but rather than only depicting big names like the T-rex or a Triceratops, Netflix’s docuseries succeeds by digging deep and covering four distinct eras and what came from them better than most history lessons ever could. “Rise” focuses on the beginning, where small dinosaurs from 235 million years ago fight for survival in a new world. In “Conquest,” dinosaurs grow, only for many to be wiped out by the Ice Age. “Empire” is aptly titled because dinosaurs are now giants and the rules of an ever-changing Earth. Lastly, “Fall,” as the name implies, takes us all the way to the end, with an asteroid like a ticking time bomb to the end credits.
‘The Dinosaurs’ Is Treated Like a Brutal Nature Documentary
The Dinosaurs is not only built on the passion of Spielberg and Amblin Entertainment, but also on the know-how of Silverback Films, the creators of wildlife documentaries such as Secrets of the Bees, Ocean with David Attenborough, and Secret Lives of Orangutans. Their influence shows heavily in the best of ways, taking The Dinosaurs out of the realm of stuffy history lessons and narrowed scope. In a large world with fantastical figures from before our time, The Dinosaurs takes an emotional approach, with its subjects fighting to live in a world where only finding food and making it to the next day matters. Each episode plants the audience in the daily life of a little Marasuchus, a mammoth saurpod, or a terrifying carnivore in a world that’s eat or be eaten.
The 10 Most Entertaining Steven Spielberg Movies, Ranked
The viewers are moved in herds. They really are moved in herds.
Dinosaurs might be one of the first things kids are fascinated by, but The Dinosaurs is probably not for the little ones. The docuseries is brutal and unforgiving. It sucks you in with the warm blanket of Morgan Freeman’s voice, but he’s narrating a vision of hell and even tells us so. Each episode is one scene after another of getting to know a dinosaur, one usually all alone, before its life is either snuffed out by a predator, a sudden fire, or the inability to adapt to a world that keeps evolving. A few scenes are hard to watch because The Dinosaurs does such a phenomenal job of taking these prehistoric creatures and turning them into three-dimensional beings with personalities and fears who only want to make it through another day.
Industrial Light & Magic Brings ‘The Dinosaurs’ to Life
Industrial Light & Magic, which was co-founded by George Lucas in the mid-1970s, has made the impossible possible in movies such as E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Poltergeist, and Who Framed Roger Rabbit, before reinventing itself in the early ’90s thanks to CGI. Jurassic Park changed the game, putting the possibilities of our imagination on the screen in a way that felt lifelike. In The Dinosaurs, ILM isn’t there to supplement an existing film; they are the movie. The detail is there in every speck of sand, crack of dirt, and lush vegetation needed to thrive. Some of it resembles the world humanity knows right outside our door, while other scenes might as well be an alien planet. It’s the attention to detail of the dinosaurs themselves that puts the docuseries above anything else like it. CGI is good at making living things seem more alive in the dark. However, The Dinosaurs depicts its subjects right out in the open, blending them seamlessly with the world around them.
The only flaw of The Dinosaurs is the repetitive nature of its episodes. A dinosaur is introduced, it’s shown struggling to survive and eat, then it’s wiped out, and it’s on to the next. What begins as a heavy emotional impact in early episodes starts to become not only predictable but numbing by the end. The series doesn’t overstay its welcome, though. At four episodes of nearly 45 minutes each, The Dinosaurs gets it right. It’s dark and at times all too much, but the mastery of ILM and Morgan Freeman guiding the audience through hellscapes of another era helps the series rise above its limitations. The Dinosaurs will rip your heart out, but it wisely ends on a note of hope and respect. These dinosaurs don’t talk or devour people; they only live and die as they were, their ends brought to life millions of years later through the evolution of humanity, and thanks to Netflix, you’ve never seen them like this before.

- ILM’s technology makes the dinosaurs look more real than ever.
- A lot of time is spent with dinosaurs you’ve never heard of, not just big names like the T-rex.
- It’s a wise choice to tell stories with the dinosaurs so that we care about them.
- The episode structure is the same throughout, leading to less emotional impact later on.

Jessica Simpson Finds Love Again With Nashville Musician
Jessica Simpson is stepping into a new chapter following her split from Eric Johnson.
More than a year after confirming the end of their marriage, the singer and entrepreneur is reportedly dating again, and sources say she’s in a good place emotionally.
While she continues to focus on her children and career, insiders have revealed that she is embracing this next phase with a renewed sense of happiness and excitement about what lies ahead.
Jessica Simpson Starts New Romance After Split From Eric Johnson

Jessica Simpson is officially seeing someone new. The 45-year-old star is dating musician Thomas Eisenhood, who is based in Nashville and was previously part of the band Stoop Kids before the group disbanded in 2023.
Speaking to PEOPLE Magazine, an insider revealed the “Employee of the Month” star is embracing this new phase of her life.
“She’s happy. She’s in a great place, excited for her future,” the source shared, pointing to a positive shift after a difficult period.
The relationship comes over a year after Simpson and Johnson announced their separation in January 2025.
The former couple were married for a decade and built a life together that included raising their three children.
Despite the breakup, Simpson has remained focused on moving forward both personally and professionally.
Simpson Maintains Strong Co-Parenting Dynamic With Johnson

Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson are no longer be together, but their connection as parents remains a priority.
The pair share three children, Maxwell Drew, Birdie Mae, and Ace Knute, and have continued working together to provide stability.
The insider explained that the two are still aligned when it comes to parenting, saying, “She and Eric are committed to being the best possible parents they could be, having a harmonious relationship and supporting their kids.”
Even after their split, Simpson and Johnson have been navigating their living situation carefully.
Earlier in March, a source told PEOPLE that the duo was still under the same roof while working through next steps, including selling their Hidden Hills home.
“The goal has been to keep everything as stable and as friendly for the kids as possible,” the insider shared.
Jessica Simpson And Eric Johnson Shift Living Arrangements Amid Separation

Shortly after the revelation, The Blast reported that the former lovebirds’ living situation shifted noticeably with their luxury Hidden Hills mansion at the center of it all.
According to the report, the pair’s sprawling home, originally bought for about $11.5 million, was listed for $17.9 million a few days before officially confirming their split.
The massive estate spans over 11,000 square feet and includes multiple bedrooms, a large pool, outdoor entertaining areas, and even a custom recording studio designed for Simpson’s music.
Despite initially planning to sell, it was revealed that Simpson took it off the market shortly after deciding to keep the property, while Johnson had to move into a nearby home, allowing them to co-parent more smoothly.
Jessica Simpson Focuses On Career, Family, And Moving Forward

Simpson has been balancing her personal changes with a renewed focus on her career and family life.
While her relationship status has shifted, her priorities have remained steady.
The source noted that she is “focused on her kids” while also turning her attention back to her music and professional goals.
The transition comes after Simpson publicly addressed her separation earlier in 2025.
At the time, she told PEOPLE, “Eric and I have been living separately, navigating a painful situation in our marriage.”
She also emphasized her commitment to her family, stating, “Our children come first, and we are focusing on what is best for them.”
Jessica Simpson Says ‘I Have Options’ After Split From Eric Johnson

Before now, Jessica Simpson has been candid about the idea of finding love again.
As The Blast reported, the singer embraced her independence following her split, revealing that she was not worried about her love life.
When asked about dating, and even the idea of joining “The Bachelorette” to find a new man, Simpson shut it down with a blunt response. “I have options. I’m good,” she said.
The actress didn’t go into full detail about any romance at the time, but she had previously shared what she was looking for, saying she wanted someone unique who exudes confidence without ego.
She also admitted that chemistry mattered, revealing that a very good kisser was important to her. “I love love. And I’m very passionate. I have a lot to give,” she said per PEOPLE. “And a very good kisser, has to be a very good kisser. To me that’s the most intimate thing, grab my face and pull me in. Can you tell I need it?”

Tiger Woods Caught On Camera After Crash Talking Masters
Tiger Woods is facing renewed attention after police bodycam footage from his March 27 rollover crash surfaced, showing his interactions with officers in the immediate aftermath.
The footage captured the golf icon speaking about the Masters, asking about his clubs, and reacting as the situation unfolded around him.
While some moments appeared lighthearted, others revealed the seriousness of the incident, which has since led to multiple charges and ongoing medical concerns.
Tiger Woods Jokes With Officers While Discussing His Masters Future

In footage reviewed by PEOPLE, Tiger Woods appeared relatively relaxed while speaking with officers shortly after the crash, even managing to joke about his future on the golf course.
When asked whether he planned to compete in the Masters, Woods responded, “Hoping to, depends on y’all!” prompting an officer to quickly reply, “It don’t depend on me!”
The exchange took another light turn when Woods asked if officers could retrieve his golf clubs from the vehicle.
When questioned about their importance, he explained, “I won 14 majors with it,” a comment that drew praise from one officer, who replied, “They don’t call you the GOAT for nothing.”
Despite the casual tone, Woods also showed concern about being seen at the scene.
Officers reassured him that the area had been secured, even adding a personal observation that he looked taller in real life than on television.
Woods’ Behavior And Arrest Captured In Police Footage

Additional bodycam footage revealed a more serious side of the situation as events progressed.
The 50-year-old was seen walking around outside before telling deputies he “was just talking to the president,” while holding his phone and adding, “Trying to get away from everybody.”
It remains unclear whether he was referring to President Donald Trump, though the two have maintained a known friendship over the years.
As the encounter continued, Woods participated in field sobriety tests before officers made the decision to take him into custody.
At one point, he asked, “I’m being arrested?” to which an officer responded, “At this time, I do believe your normal faculties are impaired.”
In separate footage, Woods was later seen seated in the back of a police vehicle in Jupiter Island, Florida.
Covered with a sheet and in handcuffs, he appeared subdued, occasionally looking out the window, yawning, and wiping his nose during the ride.
Tiger Woods Narrates His Version Of Events In Body Cam Footage

Another police body cam footage recently made headlines as it showed Tiger Woods giving his own account of the crash during his DUI arrest.
As The Blast reported, he told officers it was caused by a brief distraction inside his car.
According to the footage, Woods said, “I looked down at my phone, and all of a sudden, boom,” explaining that he had also been trying to change the radio station when the accident happened.
He maintained that alcohol was not involved. The footage also captured when Woods appeared to brush off medical help telling officers he was fine despite the severity of the incident.
When first responders arrived, a deputy asked if he was okay, and Woods responded, “Yeah, I’m fine,” even after his SUV had flipped onto its side.
Medics were called to assess him, but Woods remained calm and did not show urgency for treatment.
Authorities noted that although he escaped without major injuries, he showed signs of impairment, including slow movement and sweating.
The footage showed him kneeling on the roadside, composed but visibly affected, as officers continued their investigation.
Tiger Woods Faces Charges As Legal And Medical Steps Unfold

Following the crash, Woods is now dealing with multiple legal challenges. He has been charged with DUI involving property damage, careless driving, and refusing to take a lawful test.
At the same time, developments in his medical situation have added another layer to the story.
A Florida judge recently granted the golfer permission to travel outside the United States for treatment after his physician recommended specialized care.
According to court documents, his condition was described as a “complex clinical presentation,” requiring treatment not readily available domestically.
His attorney, Douglas Duncan, also raised concerns about privacy, stating that “ongoing medical scrutiny and public exposure create significant barriers to his care and would result in setbacks and an inability to fully engage in treatment.”
Celebrity Expert Warns That Tiger Woods’ Arrest May Be Bad For His Brand

Woods’ recent DUI arrest could have lasting financial consequences, with experts warning that his market value has already been slipping.
According to a report from The Blast, a celebrity expert revealed, “He was already on the decline from a marketing standpoint. It’s tough to say if you’re aligned with Tiger, you knew what you’re getting into,” pointing to his past struggles and controversies.
The expert added that Woods had not done enough to rebuild his once-powerful brand, telling Page Six, “He’s at the point where he’s lost marketing confidence from his major partners a while back.”
The concerns go beyond endorsements, as the expert also highlighted signs of distancing from his business ventures.
They cited the omission of his name from a press release and article on NFL.com about the NFL’s collaboration with his TMRW Sport.
“The interesting thing now is how TMRW is looked at… They left his name out of the announcement with the NFL. So there is already a bit of distancing,” the source explained.

Louis C.K. Makes Netflix Comeback With Comedy Special
Comedian and actor Louis C.K. is returning to Netflix with a new stand-up comedy special. The news comes several years after he was dropped by the streaming giant in 2017 following revelations of sexual misconduct, which put his mainstream career on pause.
C.K. has self-released comedy specials in the past years, but this marks his first stand-up comedy hour released by a major distributor since the allegations.
The Comedian Has Released A New Special And Is Headlining A Comedy Festival
On April 2, Netflix announced that C.K. will be releasing a new stand-up comedy special titled “Ridiculous” on their streaming platform. Not only that, but the 58-year-old comedian will also be performing at the Hollywood Bowl for Netflix Is A Joke, the annual comedy festival hosted by Netflix that features entertainers and comedians.
This marks C.K.’s return to Netflix after he was dropped in 2017 due to allegations of sexual misconduct.
The comeback announcement garnered mixed reactions, with some people showing excitement over C.K.’s new material, while others criticized Netflix for welcoming him back into their platform. “April Fool’s day joke is a day late,” one user commented. Others simply wrote one-word reactions, such as “Booooo,” “No,” and “Yikes!” Another added, “Yeah, Netflix is a joke, alright.”
Meanwhile, one user wrote, “Controversial, but I’d watch another Louis C.K. show.”
Five Women Accused The Comedian Of Sexual Misconduct

In the midst of the #MeToo movement in 2017, five women accused C.K. of sexual misconduct, as reported by The New York Times. The incidents allegedly happened sometime in the ’90s and 2000s, and the women accused C.K. of pleasuring himself in front of them.
Two women, a comedy duo, said C.K. invited them to hang out in his hotel room to celebrate their big break into the comedy world. Since the bars had already closed at that time, they agreed. When they got into the room, however, the comedian asked if he could take out his member. The two women laughed it off, thinking it was a joke, but C.K. took his clothes off and pleasured himself.
Another woman who worked with C.K. on a project said the comedian asked, “Can I ask you something?” to which she replied, “Yes.” C.K. then asked if she would go into his dressing room with him and watch him get himself off. When she angrily declined, he allegedly said he “had issues.”
Louis C.K. Confirmed The Stories

Initially, C.K.’s publicist said he wouldn’t respond to the women’s claims, but he eventually addressed the issue. In a lengthy statement, he confirmed, “These stories are true.”
“At the time, I said to myself that what I did was O.K. because I never showed a woman my d-ck without asking first, which is also true. But what I learned later in life, too late, is that when you have power over another person, asking them to look at your d-ck isn’t a question. It’s a predicament for them,” he wrote, admitting that he “irresponsibly” used his “power.”
He ended it by saying, “I have spent my long and lucky career talking and saying anything I want. I will now step back and take a long time to listen.”
Netflix Pulled Out Of A Deal With The Comedian

Before the allegations became public, C.K. had a deal with Netflix for two comedy specials. The first one, titled “Louis C.K. 2017,” was released in April, several months before the bombshell allegations.
Shortly afterward, the streaming giant announced that it would no longer be working with the comedian for the second comedy special. “Louis’s unprofessional and inappropriate behavior with female colleagues has led us to decide not to produce a second stand up special, as has been planned,” a spokesperson said.
There were other repercussions as well. The theatrical release of his movie, “I Love You Daddy,” was canceled, he was dropped from scheduled appearances, and he lost earnings from multiple projects he was working on.
Louis C.K. Felt Free After Coming Clean
In a conversation on “This Past Weekend with Theo Von” in September 2025, C.K. told his fellow comedian what he thought about the “accurate accusations.” “When life f-cks it up for you, when it gets torn up, it’s a relief… That’s why I felt free, because I had tried to manage these problems I had inside of me for so many years,” C.K. said, adding that he attempted to feel like a “normal” person.
C.K. revealed that he went to Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous meetings to help himself and others. “The fact that my wreckage can be a mountain for folks to lean on, take a little load off, that’s a beautiful gift,” he explained.

She explained that the revelation caught the family off guard, noting the development “came as a shock” and emphasizing they “had no prior knowledge before it became public.”
Her statement also expressed concern for the alleged victim and the gravity of the accusations.
“Our hearts are with the child who has been harmed – this is a grievous and unacceptable wrong,” Jana added. She concluded by saying, “We continue to pray for the victim and for justice to be carried out.”
The comments marked a rare public response from Jana, who has largely maintained a quieter profile in recent years, particularly after welcoming her first child with her husband, Stephen Wissmann, in December 2025.
Family Members React To Joseph Duggar Charges

Other members of the Duggar family have also weighed in, signaling a unified tone of concern and disappointment.
Jason Duggar and his wife, Maddie, released a statement expressing frustration and sorrow about the situation.
According to PEOPLE, they said they were “angered” by the situation, adding that they “pray God’s righteous hand and the court system will serve justice in the situation as deserved.”
The couple further addressed the alleged victim, describing someone who “has been brave enough to share what has happened,” and highlighted the emotional toll on Joseph’s children, who “must face the reality of losing a father that should have been a spiritual leader in their lives.”
Their remarks reflected the ripple effect of the case within the extended family.
The situation has prompted public responses from multiple relatives, each acknowledging the emotional weight and uncertainty surrounding the legal proceedings.
Jinger Duggar Reflects On Family History And Pain
Jinger Duggar also addressed the issue during an episode of the “Jinger & Jeremy” podcast alongside her husband, Jeremy Vuolo.
Her comments referenced the family’s past legal challenges and the difficulty of facing similar headlines again.
“You can’t be prepared for news like this, even though we’ve experienced something very similar before, with one of my other siblings, who made unthinkable choices, decisions that have affected all of us.”
Jinger continued, “And yet the pain and hurt that’s caused to us, but then to so many others, is just so hard. It’s hard to know what to do sometimes, moving forward. You just feel the weight of it.”
Parents Respond To Joseph Duggar Case Through Spokesperson

Joseph’s parents, Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar, also issued a statement through a spokesperson.
The message conveyed heartbreak while focusing on supporting immediate family members affected by the situation.
“Jim Bob and Michelle are heartbroken over this entire situation,” the spokesperson told Us Weekly. The statement further explained that they are “focused on loving their family and helping Kendra and her children during this difficult time.”
The spokesperson also acknowledged the alleged victim, adding, “They are praying for the victim,” while requesting privacy and thanking supporters.
Legal Details Surrounding Joseph’s Allegations

Authorities allege that Joseph Duggar sexually abused a nine-year-old girl during a 2020 family vacation in Panama City Beach, Florida.
He faces two counts of lewd and lascivious behavior, including one involving a victim younger than 12 and another related to conduct by an adult.
Joseph was arrested in Arkansas on March 18 and later extradited to Florida. He entered a not guilty plea to all charges, waived arraignment, and requested a jury trial through his attorney. A judge set his bond at $600,000, and he has since returned to Arkansas.
As part of his release conditions, Joseph is prohibited from unsupervised contact with minors under 18, including his own children.
His attorney also confirmed that a court hearing originally scheduled for April has been moved to May 18.
In addition to the Florida case, Joseph and his wife, Kendra Duggar, face separate misdemeanor charges in Arkansas, including counts of endangering the welfare of a minor and false imprisonment.
Authorities indicated those allegations are unrelated to the Florida case, adding further complexity to the legal situation.
The unfolding developments have placed renewed attention on the Duggar family, with multiple members expressing heartbreak, concern, and support for those affected.
As the legal process continues, the family’s public responses suggest a focus on accountability, compassion, and navigating the difficult road ahead.

Kylie Jenner Cried When Discussing Fame With Daughter
Kylie Jenner recently got raw and honest about the complexities of raising children in the spotlight while reflecting on her own unconventional upbringing.
As her children grow older, the reality star is finding herself navigating difficult conversations about why their family is so famous, and it has led to an unexpected wave of emotions for her.
Meanwhile, the reality TV star’s love life seems to be thriving, as she and her long-time partner, Timothée Chalamet, are reportedly discussing getting engaged soon.
Kylie Jenner Gets Emotional Explaining Fame to Stormi
During the debut episode of Kid Cudi’s podcast, “Big Bro with Kid Cudi,” 28-year-old Jenner shared a touching story about a conversation with her 8-year-old daughter, Stormi. When Stormi asked why they were famous, Kylie explained that the family started a television show when she was only a year older than Stormi is now.
This prompted a mother-daughter viewing session of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” though Jenner admitted she had to fast-forward through inappropriate segments to find the “cute scenes” suitable for a child. The experience proved to be far more overwhelming than she anticipated, leaving her weeping in her bed afterward.
“I was so emotional after. I don’t know what hit me, but I was weeping in my bed. I don’t know why that happened to me,” she said.
Jenner attributed her emotional reaction to seeing her daughter reach the same age she was when her life changed forever. She noted a bittersweet feeling of being grateful for their success while mourning the simple closeness of the family living under one roof.
Today, Jenner relies on Stormi and her 4-year-old son, Aire, to keep her grounded, noting that they love her without understanding the chaos of the outside world. However, she confessed to being “scared” about how fame and the digital world will affect her children as they enter their teenage years, admitting she isn’t sure how she will handle Stormi turning 15.
Timothée Chalamet Reportedly Has A Good Rapport With Kylie Jenner’s Children

While Jenner bears the heavy responsibility of explaining her public life to her children, she is also balancing a flourishing personal life with a long-term partner.
Chalamet has reportedly successfully earned a soft spot with Jenner’s children, Stormi, 8, and Aire, 4, after three years of dating their mother. According to The Blast, an insider shared that Chalamet has become a consistent part of the children’s lives and is “really great with them.”
This development marks a major milestone for the couple, who have become increasingly vocal about their love for one another and are frequently seen displaying public affection.
The transition for Chalamet to enter the children’s lives was a deliberate and careful process, as Jenner took her time before making any formal introductions. The source explained that the couple purposefully kept that part of their lives separate for a while to ensure the timing was right.
The Businesswoman’s Relationship With Timothée Chalamet Is Reportedly Getting Serious

The strong connection Chalamet has built with Jenner’s children has naturally led the couple to discuss a more permanent future together. After three years of dating, sources close to the pair suggest that their relationship has reached a serious and committed stage where marriage and expanding their family are frequent topics of conversation.
Their bond was on full display at the Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty, where they appeared very much in love, further fueling rumors that they are ready to take the next step in their journey as a couple.
According to The Blast, a source reported that Jenner and Chalamet are “very serious and committed to each other” and have established a strong rhythm in their daily lives.
Additionally, besides an engagement, the couple is also reportedly on the same page regarding having children together.
Kylie Jenner Already Reportedly Calls Timothée Chalamet Her ‘Husband’

While the couple’s shared vision for a future includes expanding their family, their transition toward a formal engagement appears to be a natural progression of their current lifestyle.
Sources close to the pair have confirmed that serious discussions about getting engaged this year are well underway, per The Blast.
Despite the high-profile nature of such a milestone, those in their inner circle suggest that making the relationship official wouldn’t actually alter their daily dynamic. In fact, Kylie already reportedly refers to Chalamet as her “husband” in private jokes, signaling that they already view their commitment as a permanent one.

While Kylie and Chalamet continue to build a balanced life together, the reality star is also looking to expand her horizons beyond her current business empire.
The billionaire entrepreneur recently revealed her surprising aspirations to pursue a serious acting career. She shared that she has already begun receiving scripts and is waiting for the perfect project to make her next big move.
Kylie admitted that while she hasn’t found the right script yet, she “100% want[s] to do more” in the future, per The Blast.

He rocked a classic black tuxedo for the ceremony and later changed into a navy blue suit. La’Boris shut it DOWN in a strapless, floor-length white gown with a dramatic train, giving very much Queen energy! The reception seemed to be an all-black affair. Pictures showed Marvin turning up on the dance floor while guests cheesed hard in their all-black fits.
From Love To “I Do”: How Marvin & La’Boris Found Their Way To Forever
Back in February, Marvin Sapp spoke with Essence and kept it real about how he managed to pop the question to La’Boris Cole after years of friendship. The Gospel Python turned her birthday celebration into a full-on surprise proposal. La’Boris thought the night was going to be focused on birthday festivities, but Marvin had other plans. He turned her big day into a family moment, with loved ones ready to watch him drop to one knee and ask for her hand in marriage. Although they ended up tying the knot just about a month later, the couple never shared details on their ceremony plans.
Marvin also shared that he and La’Boris had been friends for over a decade before they decided to take things to the next level. He took his time getting back outside after losing his wife, MaLinda Prince Sapp, to colon cancer in 2010. After her passing, he focused on navigating life as a widower and raising his three kids.

How Jen Shah Makes Money During Home Confinement
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City alum Jen Shah is peeling back the curtain on her life under home confinement after being released from prison.
“I’m on home confinement until August, or possibly a little bit before that,” Shah, 52, revealed in an interview with People published on Friday, April 3. “You still get to go out; you can request to go out for employment reasons, for work, religious needs — whatever you need to do based on your security level. But everything you do has to be approved.”
The former Bravo star revealed that she can even run errands to places like Target. At the same time, she must wear an ankle monitor that knows when she leaves her residence and comes back.
“I can go to Target. It’s called hygiene passes,” she shared. “You get to go to the store and Target or different places like that to do your shopping and take care of things.”
Shah was sentenced in 2023 to prison for her role in a yearslong telemarketing scheme that the government said defrauded innocent people across the country. After serving less than three years at a federal prison camp in Texas, Shah was released in December 2025.
When asked how she is making money after prison, Shah said she is working on many different projects and “looking at different opportunities in the media and entertainment industry.”

“I still have a lot to say, so whether that’s in a book, on a podcast — there’s lots of options,” she explained. “And I really want to create a fictional musical about life in a woman’s prison. I think it would be a great Broadway show.”
As she works to pay back more than $6.6 million in restitution, Shah is quick to say she was “wrong” and “should have done things differently.”
Moving forward, she hopes to spread some positivity and use her fame for good.
“I found my way of healing through service there, so I want to continue to do advocacy work,” she explained. “That’s something I’m passionate about, especially when it comes to the children of incarcerated women, who are often left alone when their mothers are taken away from them.”
As for a possible return to The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, Shah believes in never say never. After Andy Cohen’s strong comments that it likely won’t happen, the Utah resident isn’t focused on it.
“I appreciate the show and the time I had on it, because it did afford me a platform that I wasn’t able to have before,” she said. “I guess right now at this time, anything is possible. All I can say is, whatever I decide to work on moving forward has to align with my values and my family. I wasn’t good at setting boundaries before, but I’m much better at those now and there are things that I will accept and not accept.”

Brian Cox Slams Margot Robbie and More in Unfiltered Interview
Succession star Brian Cox shared his unfiltered thoughts on Margot Robbie and other celebrities in a scathing new interview.
“Margot Robbie is far too beautiful for that role in [Wuthering Heights],” Cox, 79, told The Times in an interview published on Friday, April 3. “I mean, I think there should be something more of the Gypsy about her, but it’s wrong of me to judge. It may be a brilliant film.”
Robbie, 35, stars opposite Jacob Elordi as Catherine Earnshaw and Heathcliff, respectively, in the adaptation of Emily Brontë’s famous novel. Both the Barbie actress, who was also a producer on the film, and Elordi, 28, previously received backlash for their casting, as fans argued that they did not match the physical descriptions of their characters. (Both Catherine and Heathcliff are meant to be teenagers in the novel.)
Cox also mocked Robbie’s Australian accent while discussing the role, quipping, “ ‘Keith Cliff! It’s me, Cathy!’ ‘How ya doing, Keith? Awright?’ ‘Yeah, I’m awright!’ ”
Elsewhere in the interview, Cox took aim at President Donald Trump.
“Trump doesn’t give a s*** about the people. He’s only interested in the oil [in Iran]. There’s just sheer f***g greed motivating him, nothing else. The idea he’s liberating people is nonsense,” he said.
The Times article also included previous quotes on Quentin Tarantino, Kevin Spacey, Johnny Depp and Edward Norton, which Cox’s reps clarified to Us Weekly were from his 2022 autobiography, Putting the Rabbit in the Hat.
In his memoir, Cox described Tarantino’s work as “meretricious” — defined as “apparently attractive but having in reality no value or integrity.”
In his interview with The Times, Cox further said of the 63-year-old director, “[When directing] I like to honor the actor’s performance. With a Quentin Tarantino film, what you see is all Quentin Tarantino. That’s not me. I don’t want to do that.”
Cox also wrote in his memoir that Spacey, 66 — his costar in the 1994 film Iron Will — is a “stupid, stupid man.”
In the book, Cox wrote that he turned down a role in Pirates of the Caribbean because he didn’t want to work with Depp, 62, calling the actor “so overblown, so overrated.” (He later admitted that he “regretted” making the comment about Depp and “was just being harsh.”)
Meanwhile, he called Norton, 56, “a pain in the arse.” (Cox and Norton costarred in the 2002 drama 25th Hour, directed by Spike Lee.)
Cox has made headlines for years with his candid assessments of fellow Hollywood stars. Back in 2024, he slammed Joaquin Phoenix’s performance in Napoleon, calling it “truly terrible.” He has also frequently spoken out against “f***ing annoying” method acting, particularly when done by Succession costar Jeremy Strong.
Cox was again asked about Strong, 47, in his interview with The Times.
“I don’t want to go on about Jeremy, because I’ve got into a lot of problems and he’s begged me to stop talking about him. He’s a good actor, Jeremy,” Cox told the outlet.
When asked by the outlet if his opinions on Hollywood talent have cost him anything, Cox responded, “Well, I don’t know yet if it’s caused me problems. I mean, my wife [Nicole Ansari-Cox] keeps saying, ‘Brian, be careful. Brian, be careful.’ I think, ‘F*** it, I don’t want to be careful anymore! I’ll be 80 this year. F*** I’m gonna say what I want to say.’”
