Teresa Giudice Hit With $300K Tax Lien as Husband Luis Ruelas Owes $2.5 Million!

Teresa Giudice is once again facing serious financial trouble — and this time, not even a Real Housewives paycheck may be enough to cover it.

According to official documents from the New Jersey Courts, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star has a tax lien against her for a staggering $303,889.20. The lien adds to a larger tax debt Teresa has been working to pay off. While she’s already paid $480,291.20 toward a previous balance of $1,096,012.14, she still owes a remaining $615,720.94 as of October 2023.

Meanwhile, Teresa’s husband, Luis “Louie” Ruelas, is also in deep water financially. He was recently hit with his own tax lien totaling more than $2.5 million.

Court documents show that Louie is listed as the “sole member” of the LLC that purchased their lavish New Jersey mansion — the same property he reportedly took out a $1 million loan on.

While financial troubles have been swirling around the couple for months, details were not disclosed during Season 14 of RHONJ. Luis filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in September 2024, for his company, Digital Media Solutions Inc. (DMS), is a media and marketing company co-founded by Luis.

This decision aimed to restructure the business and position it for future growth. While Luis previously served as the Executive Vice President of Business Development, his current role within the company remains unclear.

In addition, Luis Ruelas’s previous business ventures have encountered legal issues, including a lawsuit against his company, Produce Depot, which filed for bankruptcy in March 2022 with debts totaling over $1.6 million.

Despite the growing concerns, Teresa remains optimistic about her role on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, as fans and cast alike wait to hear who will return for Season 15. “Of course, I’m going to go back,” she told reporters.

“Oh my gosh, I started it, so I feel like, you know, there’s still a lot in me. So yeah, definitely I would go back.”

Still, with mounting tax debt and questions surrounding Louie’s financial situation, viewers are left wondering what’s really going on behind the gates of Teresa’s New Jersey mansion.
