Upcoming Star Trek Show Could Finally Give Fans What They Want
By Chris Snellgrove
| Published

Recently, the controversial Star Trek show Starfleet Academy finished its first season, and the online discourse about the show has been endless. Defenders of the series have constantly pointed out that because it took shows like The Next Generation and Deep Space Nine time to achieve greatness, everyone should give Starfleet Academy some grace during its initial shakedown cruise. To this, critics always have a simple response: that because modern seasons are less than half as long as they used to be, Star Trek shows can no longer afford to waste time getting good.
Whether Starfleet Academy gets renewed for Season 3 (Season 2 has already been filmed) may come down to various factors, including streaming numbers and decisions from upper Paramount leadership. Recently, however, it occurred to me that it would be easy for an upcoming series to finally make the divided fandom happy. All Paramount needs to do is give Tawny Newsome’s upcoming Star Trek spinoff a tighter per-episode budget and more episodes per season.
The Office In Space?

If you don’t know, Lower Decks legend and Starfleet Academy writer Tawny Newsome is currently working on a Star Trek show that is supposed to function as a workplace comedy. This unnamed series is set on a vacation planet (not Risa, though). Beyond this and the fact that she wants to set it in the 25th century (so, the Picard era), all we know about the show is that it involves helping the planet join the Federation. Oh, and the original pitch for the show involved some unspecified shenanigans that would somehow broadcast everything our Federation workers are doing to the entire quadrant.
The series has not yet gotten the green light from Paramount, and it has reportedly evolved (albeit in unknown ways) since the original pitch. Personally, I always thought the “broadcast to the whole quadrant” thing meant they were doing a Star Trek version of The Office. At any rate, Newsome’s workplace comedy show provides the perfect opportunity for NuTrek to boldly go where it has never gone before: 20+ episode seasons, with a more modest budget for each episode.
The Numbers Game

Back in the Golden Age of Star Trek, shows like Voyager had 26-episode seasons, and this offered a number of advantages to the writers. On the most basic level, they had an extended runway: with this many episodes per season, you could flesh out your main characters and even give your side characters extended screentime. Most importantly, having so many episodes each season meant that Paramount could afford to have a few stinkers; the awful quality of early TNG episodes like “Code of Honor,” for example, would ultimately get outweighed by better episodes like “Conspiracy.”
However, the network could only do this because of the cost factor. Star Trek: The Next Generation episodes cost about $1.3 million to produce, which was admittedly a pretty penny back in the day. Now, though, Star Trek: Discovery previously cost about $8 million per episode, and there are persistent rumors that each Starfleet Academy episode costs Paramount $10 million. If that’s true, then it costs almost the same amount to produce one season of Starfleet Academy as it did to produce three seasons of The Next Generation.
That’s bad enough, but three seasons of The Next Generation add up to 78 episodes; meanwhile, one season of Starfleet Academy is only 10 episodes. That’s not enough time to develop every character, which is likely why Genesis never got her own episode like everyone else. Furthermore, short seasons lead to killer ratios: if, say, four of your episodes are stinkers (a very generous estimate for SFA), then 40 percent of your entire season sucks. That’s enough to make fans tune out and possibly seal a show’s fate long before it finally gets good.
NuTrek Goes Old School

What does this bleak numbers game have to do with Tawny Newsome’s Star Trek show? Simple: one of the big reasons that shows like Starfleet Academy are so expensive is because of all the top-notch special effects needed for stories where the entire galaxy is in danger. The crew is always visiting new places (exploring strange new worlds and all that), meeting exotic aliens (seeking out new life), and generally having ambitious adventures that are very expensive to bring to life.
However, if Newsome’s workplace comedy show really is like Star Trek meets The Office, it could potentially be far cheaper to create. Characters could stay in a fixed location, effectively turning almost every episode into a bottle episode. Residents of the vacation planet don’t need to have elaborate makeup; in fact, the show could return to the grand Trek tradition of having aliens who are just humans with something funny on their foreheads. Finally, the show doesn’t have to have legacy characters or other big names; instead, the cast can be comprised of almost entirely unknown actors.
Put it all together, and you have a new Star Trek show that is infinitely cheaper to make than Starfleet Academy. But I’m not suggesting Paramount lower its overall budget; instead, the amount of money they would normally allocate to a NuTrek show should go to creating seasons with at least 20 episodes. This would allow for greater character development and more rewatchability. Best of all, there would be a built-in grace period: even if the show’s first five episodes are awful, fans would forgive that if the next 15 are solid Star Trek.
The Best Of Both Worlds

Realistically, I know this isn’t likely to happen for many reasons, including Alex Kurtzman’s inability to try anything new. But Paramount is currently exploring whether or not to keep Kurtzman around, and new leadership seems eager to shake things up with the franchise. A smaller-budget Star Trek spinoff could be a return to the Golden Age, where classic episodes were created with killer writing and not a small mountain of VFX.
Done right, Tawny Newsome’s show (assuming it gets the green light) could be the best of both worlds: it would give NuTrek fans more show than they can handle while finally making old-school fans happy. Plus, it would give its biggest fans more episodes per season to stream, giving this series the coziness of shows like Voyager. But the only way this can happen is for Paramount to embrace some very unconventional wisdom regarding the budget for each episode: make it low, Number One!

Prince Harry Ally Blasts ‘Spiteful’ Decision To Strip Him Of His Security
Debate over security for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has intensified, with allies calling the loss of taxpayer-funded protection unfair while officials weigh political risks and ongoing threats.
The review comes as the couple faces fresh scrutiny over their Hollywood standing, following setbacks in their Netflix deal.
Critics argue Prince Harry and Meghan’s influence may be fading, raising broader questions about their public image, professional momentum, and long-term positioning in the UK and internationally.
Prince Harry Faces Ongoing Security Dispute As Friend Condemns Decision

A close associate of Prince Harry has criticized the decision to deny him publicly funded security in the UK, calling it “spiteful” as discussions continue over whether protection should be restored for him and Meghan Markle.
The couple lost automatic police protection funded by taxpayers after stepping back from their roles as senior royals and moving to the United States.
However, according to the Daily Mail, Harry’s friend Alex Rayner, who served alongside him in Afghanistan and joined him on an expedition to the North Pole, argued that the decision does not reflect Harry’s military service.
Rayner pointed out that “Harry is a royal who’s significantly served in the Armed Forces,” and questioned why he should now be expected to cover his own security costs, especially when other royals continue to receive protection.
He also referenced the upcoming Invictus Games, set to take place in Birmingham this July, where Harry is expected to appear, asking whether adequate support is being provided for such a high-profile event. “Are we not supporting him for that?” he questioned.
Prince Harry’s Security Review Sparks Division As Officials Weigh Risks And Political Fallout

Meanwhile, government officials are reportedly divided on the issue. Members of the committee responsible for royal protection decisions, the Royal and VIP Executive Committee (Ravec), are said to be weighing the risks of reinstating security.
Some civil servants, including those from the Home Office and other departments, are concerned about potential political fallout and public reaction if taxpayer-funded protection is reinstated.
Sources suggest there is an ongoing debate within the group. While security and policing experts reportedly believe protection is necessary due to credible threats, others worry about the optics and political consequences of the move.
A detailed risk assessment is currently underway, but no final decision has been made.
The Duke Of Sussex Recently Lost A Court Case Over His Security Being Stripped

The issue follows a legal setback for Harry last year, when he lost a court case arguing he was entitled to a formal review of the risks he faces.
He later described the outcome as a “good old-fashioned establishment stitch-up” and expressed frustration with the role of royal officials.
Harry has since appealed for the matter to be reconsidered, writing to Shabana Mahmood to request a fresh evaluation.
A subsequent review process was approved, and he has submitted the required documentation. He is now awaiting a final determination from the committee.
Meghan Markle And Prince Harry Face Hollywood Doubts After Netflix Setback Raises Questions About Their Influence

The latest developments surrounding the security arrangements for Harry and Meghan come at a time when the couple is also facing renewed questions about their influence in Hollywood, with some commentators casting doubt on their long-term momentum.
Despite securing an expanded multi-year, first-look deal with Netflix through their Archewell Productions company, reports indicate that Meghan’s lifestyle project, “As Ever,” has been dropped. The move has fueled fresh questions about their ability to maintain momentum in the industry.
Royal commentator Kinsey Schofield argued that the situation raises concerns about consistent delivery.
She emphasized that major partnerships of this scale are “built on execution, not just vision or vibes,” particularly in a highly competitive streaming landscape.
Schofield explained that while global recognition can initially open doors, maintaining success requires a steady stream of content that connects with audiences. Without that consistency, even globally recognized names can struggle to remain competitive in a crowded streaming market.
The Sussexes Were Advised To Follow Prince William And Kate Middleton’s Playbook

Similarly, commentator Hilary Fordwich also claimed that public sentiment toward Meghan and Harry has shifted, suggesting audiences have grown tired of what she described as “grievance-driven royal content.”
Speaking to Fox News Digital, Fordwich argued that the couple is now widely seen as “separated from all things royal.”
She added that their “track record of a failed brand is as bad as their plummeting poll numbers and dreadful viewership of each of their underwhelming failed ventures.”
Media executive John McDermott, co-founder of Caloroga Shark Media and creator of the “Palace Intrigue” podcast, has a different perspective, suggesting the Sussexes could benefit from adopting a different public relations approach, similar to that of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
According to McDermott, William and Kate tend to maintain a careful balance with the media, offering brief, positive appearances, such as a quick photo op of them pulling pints, throwing darts, petting a puppy, etc., before stepping back from the spotlight. This strategy, he said, helps sustain favorable coverage without overexposure.
“For Harry and Meghan, there may be something in that. Show up, look good, keep it positive. Sometimes less really is more,” he said.

Mormon Wives’ Mikayla Documents ‘Escape’ After Taylor Drama
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Mikayla Matthews is finding solace away from the group’s lingering cast drama.
“After everything going on the last couple weeks, this was a very much-needed escape 🙏🏼,” Mikayla, 26, wrote via Instagram on Saturday, March 21, sharing footage of her family’s beach vacation in California. “Think I’ll stay here forever.”
Mikayla, who primarily resides in Utah, shares four children with estranged husband Jace Terry. (The couple announced their separation on Mormon Wives season 4, which premiered on Hulu earlier this month, after attempting to navigate their intimacy issues.)
Mikayla’s vacation comes shortly after production on Mormon Wives season 5 was halted amid Taylor Frankie Paul’s ongoing domestic violence allegations.
“It was a decision that all of us girls came up with and agreed on,” the mom of four wrote via her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, March 18, addressing the production pause. “We didn’t feel comfortable filming with everything that was happening.”
Us Weekly confirmed earlier this month that police were called to Taylor’s house in late February after an alleged altercation with her ex Dakota Mortensen.
Taylor, 31, was previously arrested in 2023 after getting into a physical altercation with Dakota, 33. She pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and was subsequently placed on probation. Footage from the incident was leaked Thursday, March 19, in which Taylor was seen throwing chairs at Dakota in the presence of her daughter. (Taylor shares Indy, 8, and Ocean, 5, with ex-husband Tate Paul, as well as Ever, 2, with Dakota.)
After the video made headlines, ABC canceled Taylor’s season of The Bachelorette days before its scheduled Sunday, March 22, premiere.
“Taylor is very grateful for ABC’s support as she prioritizes her family’s safety and security,” a spokesperson for Taylor told Us in a statement. “After years of silently suffering extensive mental and physical abuse as well as threats of retaliation, Taylor is finally gaining the strength to face her accuser and taking steps to ensure that she and her children are protected from any further harm.”
Dakota, who has denied any accusations against his behavior, was later granted a temporary protective order against Taylor that barred any communication between the exes and gave him sole custody of Ever until a court hearing in April.

Disney, which owns both ABC and Hulu, has not revealed the respective futures of The Bachelorette and The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Taylor’s Mormon Wives costars, however, would be interested in picking up filming without their fellow MomTok creator.
“The girls know they can continue without Taylor and want to keep going,” a source exclusively told Us. “This has brought them closer in a way, and they all have been leaning on each other, checking in. They want to make it work and finish out season 5 on a high note.”

Paramount+ Is Removing ‘The Batman’ Director’s Viral Sci-Fi Franchise-Starter
Years before Gareth Edwards‘ Godzilla reboot ushered in a new era of kaiju movies in Hollywood, a rather small-scale project served three roles: bringing monsters back into vogue, spawning a franchise, and giving one of the industry’s biggest producers a signature style. Not since Jerry Bruckheimer‘s testosterone-fueled, diesel-coated action movies of the 1990s and 2000s had a producer developed such a distinct aesthetic as J.J. Abrams did in the mid-to-late 2000s with shows such as Lost and the movie we’re talking about here. Released in 2008, it also served as a stepping stone for director Matt Reeves, who would go on to establish himself as one of the most respected mainstream filmmakers of his generation.
The movie utilized a cast of lesser-known actors, a refreshing framing device, and a hugely successful viral marketing campaign to achieve significant success both critically and commercially. The film’s arresting teaser was attached to Transformers, and that, too, without a title. The film’s title was only some time later, ahead of screenings of Beowulf, that the film’s title was revealed in a second trailer. It featured Michael Stahl-David as the protagonist, alongside Lizzy Caplan, Jessica Lucas, Mike Vogel, Odette Yustman, and T.J. Miller. It grossed more than $170 million worldwide against a reported budget of $30 million; the film’s effective marketing campaign pushed it toward a then-record $40 million opening weekend haul domestically.
Whatchu Talkin’ About, Willis? — The Collider TV Quiz!
From long-running series to one-off guest spots, Bruce Willis has been all over our television screens. How many of these appearances do you know?
Here’s How Long You Have Left To Watch the Mysterious Kaiju Movie on Paramount+
The movie we’re talking about, of course, is Cloverfield. It now holds a “Certified Fresh” 78% score on the aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, where the critics’ consensus reads, “A sort of Blair Witch Project crossed with Godzilla, Cloverfield is economically paced, stylistically clever, and filled with scares.” The movie inspired a standalone prequel titled 10 Cloverfield Lane, directed by Dan Trachtenberg; it grossed more than $110 million against a reported budget of $15 million. A third film, The Cloverfield Paradox, was released directly on Netflix in 2018 after a troubled production and poor internal reactions. The franchise is set to continue with a fourth film, directed by Babak Anvari. It was also revealed that A Quiet Place was initially going to be roped into the series, but that idea was axed.
You can watch Cloverfield on Paramount+ until April 1, when it will leave the paid subscription catalog along with 10 Cloverfield Lane. Stay tuned to Collider for more updates.

What the Cast of Yellowstone’s Marshals Look Like in Real Life
Yellowstone‘s Marshals has put in a lot of work to make their cast look very different for Kayce Dutton’s spinoff than they do in real life.
Paramount Network’s Yellowstone, which aired from 2018 to 2024, originally introduced Us to Luke Grimes as Kayce Dutton. After the show came to an end, it was announced that the actor would be headlining his own series for CBS, which follows Kayce as he leaves “ranching life behind to join an elite unit” of the U.S. Marshals while “combining his skills as a cowboy and Navy SEAL to bring range justice to Montana, where he and his teammates must balance family, duty and the high psychological cost that comes with serving as the last line of defense in the region’s war on violence.”
The show debuted in March 2026 with Grimes, Arielle Kebbel, Ash Santos, Tatanka Means, Brett Cullen and Logan Marshall Green leading the cast.
“I’m my own worst critic,” Grimes told Entertainment Weekly in February 2026. “I was like, ‘If you take a poll of who people want to have a spinoff, I don’t know if Kayce would be top of that list. I think there’s other characters that they would rather see.’”
Grimes used that as motivation, adding, “So there was a fire under me. Like, it has to be good. If it’s not good, I’d rather not do it. We tried really hard to make sure that any of the original Yellowstone fans would have something to grasp onto.”
He continued: “But if you’d never seen Yellowstone, we wanted this show to make sense on its own as well. I think we accomplished that as much as we possibly could.”
Keep scrolling to see what the stars of Marshals look like in real life:
Luke Grimes

The Yellowstone alum plays Special Deputy U.S. Marshal Kayce Dutton in CBS’ new hit spinoff.
Logan Marshall-Green

Logan Marshall-Green was introduced as Supervisory Deputy U.S. Marshal Pete Calvin, who is a former US Navy SEAL. He joined the Marshal Service to break away from bad habits and adapt to life after the Teams. He is the Chief of the team.
Arielle Kebbel

In the Yellowstone spinoff, Arielle Kebbel is Deputy U.S. Marshal Belle Skinner, who is a member of the team and former ATF agent, specialized in ballistics and weapons.
Ash Santos

Ash Santos, meanwhile, plays Deputy U.S. Marshal Andrea Cruz.
Tatanka Means

Tatanka Means portrays Deputy U.S. Marshal Miles Kittle.

What ‘SNL UK’ Can Do That The U.S. Version Can’t
Tina Fey made history this weekend as the first-ever host of “Saturday Night Live UK,” and she wasted no time pointing out one key difference between the new show and its American counterpart.
The UK edition follows the same core structure as NBC’s “Saturday Night Live.”
However, Fey’s opening monologue offered an early glimpse into how the format is being adapted for British audiences, including one notable change that’s already generating buzz online.
Early feedback suggests that critics and viewers alike are largely viewing Fey’s debut on “SNL UK” as a success.
There has been particular appreciation for how the writers and cast navigated the difficult challenge of translating such a distinctly American format for a UK audience.
Tina Fey Leads ‘SNL UK’ Into Its Historic First Episode

Fey has been working closely with the “Saturday Night Live” franchise for nearly three decades, first joining the show in 1997 as a writer before quickly rising through the ranks.
Her journey includes several major milestones, including becoming the first female head writer in 1999.
Fey later transitioned to on-screen work in 2000 as a co-anchor on the “Weekend Update” segment, initially alongside Jimmy Fallon and later with Amy Poehler.
This role helped turn the Pennsylvania-born star into a household name.
Even after leaving the show full-time, she remained a regular presence, returning as a host on multiple occasions.
Fey was first reported as the debut host of “SNL UK” in early March, according to The Sun.
The One Thing ‘SNL UK’ Gets Away With
Because “SNL” is performed live, NBC heavily self-censors, and the only time you are likely to hear a performer drop an expletive is if it happens by accident.
In her monologue from the premiere episode of “SNL UK,” Fey suggested that the UK version operates with no such restrictions.
The comedian said this when Michael Cera joked that he had heard her say “the f-word.”
“Oh, yeah. We are allowed to swear in this version of the show,” Fey replied.
Cera then took the opportunity to test that freedom: “Sh-tbird! F-cking b-llocks!”
“I think I would use it sparingly. It feels kind of unclassy,” he added.
Tina Fey’s ‘SNL UK’ Debut Wins Over Viewers Who ‘Expected A Disaster’

Two days before Fey headlined the launch of “SNL UK,” the Financial Times raised doubts about whether the concept could work in Britain.
“Sky executives know that bringing such a revered and quintessentially American show to the UK comes with a risk, especially with sketch shows on the wane for the past two decades,” the report noted.
But by the end of the debut episode, that tone had begun to shift, with early reactions moving from skepticism to a quiet appreciation.
“It could have been a lot, lot worse,” a review in The Guardian observed. “It could have been a lot better. But it is likely to become so as the team and the audience settle in over the coming weeks.”
Fans Already Demand A Separate ‘SNL UK’ YouTube Channel
One of the most common reactions in the comments section of the YouTube video of Fey’s “SNL UK” monologue was a call for a dedicated channel for the show.
“Why does this not get its own YT channel? I don’t want all the other Sky TV content cluttering up my subscription page,” one viewer wrote.
“Please have a UK SNL YouTube,” another added, while more argued that there is already a clear audience for it.
“There are UK comedy fans who would subscribe to a ‘SNL UK’ YouTube channel, but won’t subscribe to the main Sky channel because they don’t want to be inundated with other Sky videos,” one user said.
After Tina Fey, Fans Already Know Who They Want To Host ‘SNL UK’ Next

Cera was not the only notable guest to join Fey during her “SNL UK” monologue.
Graham Norton also made an appearance and impressed fans, with many already calling for him to return as host.
“We need Graham Norton to host an episode!!” one fan wrote.
An even more enthusiastic viewer added: “I want Graham to somehow co-host every episode!”

Chappell Roan Praised Security After Alleged Drama With Child
Chappell Roan thanked her security team hours after a member allegedly made Jude Law’s 11-year-old daughter cry.
“So this is our 33rd show of the Damels tour. I do not know when I will be going on tour again, so this is hte last one — so grateful it’s here. I’m so grateful, so thank you,” Roan, 28, said on stage to a hoard of fans at her Saturday, March 21, Lollapalooza show in Brazil, per social media footage.
“And thank you to my crew and my security and my band and all the — everyone behind the scenes,” the singer continued. “This take a lot of people, so thank you.”
That same day, soccer star Jorginho (real name Jorge Luiz Frello Filho) claimed an alleged member of the “Pink Pony Club” singer’s security team accused his stepdaughter, Ada, of harassment. (Jorginho is married to Catherine Harding, who shares Ada with Law, 53.)
“I went through a very upsetting situation with my family earlier today. My wife is in São Paulo for Lollapalooza Brasil,” the soccer star, 34, wrote via his Instagram Stories on Saturday. “This morning, my daughter woke up incredibly excited. She even made a sign because she was so happy to see an artist she really admires, or used to admire.”

He continued, “By coincidence, they’re staying at the same hotel as this artist. During breakfast, the artist walked past their table. My daughter, like any child, recognized her, got excited, and just wanted to make sure it was really her. And the worst part is she didn’t even approach her. She simply walked past the singer’s table, looked to confirm it was her, smiled, and went back to sit with her mum. She didn’t say anything, didn’t ask for anything.”
According to Jorginho, a “large security guard” allegedly approached Cavelli and Ada’s table and “began speaking in an extremely aggressive manner.” He further alleged that the guard told his wife that “she shouldn’t allow my daughter to ‘disrespect’ or ‘harass’ other people.”
“Honestly, I don’t know at what point simply walking past a table and looking to see if someone is there can be considered harassment,” he added.
The security guard allegedly threatened to “file a complaint against them with the hotel” while the young girl “was sitting there in tears.”
“My daughter was extremely shaken and cried a lot,” Jorginho alleged.
On Sunday, March 22, Roan addressed the alleged incident via her Instagram Stories.
“I”m just gonna tell my half of the story of what happened today with a mother and child, who were involved with a security guard who is not my personal security,” Roan wrote. “I didn’t even see a woman and a child, like, no one came up to me. No one bothered me. I was just sitting at breakfast in my hotel. I think these people were staying at the hotel, as well.”
She continued, “I did not, they did not come up to me. They weren’t doing anything. It’s unfair for security to just assume someone doesn’t have good intentions when they have no reason to believe because there’s no action even taken, like, that’s so not what I stand behind.”
The singer went on to assure her followers that she does “not hate people who are fans of my music.”
“I do not hate children, like, that is crazy,” she continued on Sunday. “I’m sorry to that mother and child that someone was assuming something that you would do something and that if you felt uncomfortable, that makes me really sad. You did not deserve that.”

Teresa Giudice Wishes Melissa Gorga Happy Birthday Following Estrangement
“Real Housewives of New Jersey” stars Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga appear to be better than ever.
After years of estrangement, the two TV personalities found their way back to each other in 2025.
In a new post, Teresa Giudice gushed about her new relationship with Melissa Gorga while wishing her a happy birthday.
Teresa Giudice Wishes Her ‘Real Housewives Of New Jersey’ Co-Star Melissa Gorga A Happy Birthday After Years Of Estrangement
Giudice shared an image of herself and Gorga on her Instagram on March 21, 2026.
“Happy birthday Melissa – aka sister-in-law lol,” Giduice captioned the flick. “We’ve truly been through it all, and somehow always find our way back to each other.”
Giudice, who first joined “RHONJ” as an OG cast member in 2009, continued, “I hope your day is filled with so much happiness and love.”
The mother of four went on to explain how “grateful” she was that she and Gorga had found peace and reconciled for their family’s sake.
“… cheers to a year of growth, happiness, and rebuilding. Love you,” she finished.
Teresa Giudice And Melissa Gorga Reconcile After Feuding On ‘RHONJ’

Giudice’s post sparked genuine excitement in the Bravoverse, as former “RHONJ” cast member Jackie Goldschneider wrote, “Family first!”
Gorga wrote, “This just brought a little tear to my eye. Thank u.”
Giudice’s niece, Antonia Gorga, shared, “Awwww.”
At BravoCon 2025, the two “Real Housewives of New Jersey” stars teased their reconciliation after years of feuding in front of the cameras.
“We are in a different place we than we were a couple months ago. Let’s just say that… everybody’s working on it. We’re working on it. We’re trying to move forward and we’ve, you know, hashed a lot of things out privately without all of this. And I think that’s a good thing,” Gorga said.
Melissa Gorga Was Willing To Do What It Took To Reconcile With Teresa Giudice

Gorga went on to explain how thankful she was that the family was able to reconnect before things took a turn for the worse.
“Whatever it takes to wake someone up is, you know, that’s how life goes, right? And you never want it to be a funeral or a wedding or someone in the hospital. Like, that’s not what we want. So, this was a more of a natural reason,” she said.
Gorga added that repairing their relationship was at the top of her priority list.
“We just want to fix it, and we want to get back together. And for the kids, you know, we have little kids that are, you know, teenagers too that are watching this and behavior repeats itself. And that’s never what I want to see happen,” she said.
What Led Giudice To Mend Fences With Her Family After Vowing Never To Speak To Them Again?

The reconciliation between Guidice and Gorga came as a surprise to many, given that Giudice had previously said they would never reconcile.
However, after spending time with her daughter, Gia, filming the competition series “Special Forces,” Giudice said she had a change of heart.
“Gia and I were on Special Forces. We spent a lot of time together before we went on Special Forces, and we talked a lot about a lot of things. So I want to be a good example for my children,” Giudice said.
“Be a beautiful family,” she continued. “If someone doesn’t get along, be the bigger person. Try to make it work. I’ve got to practice what I preach.”
Changes Are Coming To ‘Real Housewives Of New Jersey’ When It Returns To The Network

Giudice and Gorga’s reconciliation also comes amid rumors that production on the next season of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” is scheduled to begin soon.
According to The Blast, Giudice and Gorga are rumored to return alongside their longtime family friend, Dolores Catania.
“Fans long believed it would either be Teresa or Melissa due to all of the tension and issues that arose during season 14 with them refusing to talk to one another, but Bravo ended up bringing them both back,” a source said about the reported cast. “It absolutely helps that they made up off-camera and are now getting along as a family unit. Bravo stressed during the last season that something needed to change, and the cast could not go on like this.”
Margaret Josephs, on the other hand, has reportedly been handed her pink slip, along with Jennifer Aydin, Danielle Cabral, and Rachel Fuda.
While no official announcement regarding the “RHONJ” cast has been made, fans can likely expect the show’s marquee players to return.

Spring is the perfect time to refresh your wardrobe. You know what they say: Out with the old and in with the new! This year, I’m prioritizing the wearable fashion trends that will level up my style. I’m obsessed with the trends I saw on New York Fashion Week runways that are actually attainable, like bold colors, romantic silhouettes and (my favorite) peplum tops.
The good news is there are plenty more trends to discover beyond these must-have styles. Keep reading for the top six spring fashion trends — along with items to shop the style from Abercrombie & Fitch, Topshop, Reformation, Amazon and more. With prices starting as low as $8, you can easily be the coolest person in your friend group . . . without spending a fortune.
18 Stylish Fashion Pieces to Channel Spring’s Trendiest Looks
Bold Colors
1. Color-Block Cardigan: Vibrant, happy colors signify spring is coming. Not only will you feel unending joy when you wear this pink and orange cardigan, but everyone around you will, too!
2. Tropical Vibes: Summer is right around the corner, and you’ll be able to wear this stunning floral-print skirt through the spring . . . and into the next season.
3. Pop of Color: Ease into a bright hue by wearing these pretty pink ballet flats. They’ll liven any outfit and put a little pep in your step.
Springtime Leather Jackets
4. Floral Details: The intricate embroidered flowers on this leather jacket are an unexpected addition that matches the vibes of springtime!
5. Unexpected Color: Black leather jackets inherently give off fall vibes. If you’re looking for something more suitable for spring, opt for a lighter hue, like this modern turquoise design.
6. Elegance at Its Finest: I can picture the wealthy Upper East Side moms wearing this mint green leather jacket, which has jewelry-esque gold buttons. It’s also steeply discounted at 68% off.
Wispy Romance
7. So Intricate: With all of the floral-lace appliqués, this whimsical garden-inspired tank top should be much more expensive than it is. It’s a total steal!
8. The Perfect Combo: I don’t think there’s anything more romantic than a silky slip dress that’s lined with dainty lace. This Reformation style was made for springtime date nights.
9. Peek-a-Boo: Show a little skin in this head-turning off-the-shoulder velvet and mesh body suit that reminds me of Margot Robbie in Wuthering Heights.
Utility Styles
10. Comfortable and Functional: Quince takes the utility trend to new heights with this twill shirt dress that’s reminiscent of army uniforms. The feminine twist is the full, breezy skirt.
11. Ditch the Trench: Say goodbye to your trusty trench coat this spring. Utility jackets are coming for them, and this lightweight style is ideal for all types of weather.
12. The Main Attraction: Pockets are often an after thought, but they’re actually the focal point of these utility pants. The unique placement and slanted style makes them a functional built-in accessory.
Return of the Peplum
13. The Shirt You’ll See Everywhere: This chic top, which feels professional thanks to the collared button-down style and pinstripes, gets elevated with a figure-flattering peplum. Wear it to the office, brunch and beyond!
14. ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’ in 2026: A cropped denim jacket with a pretty peplum hem? Sign Us up. This style features golden floral buttons and a figure-hugging silhouette that everyone will notice.
15. Party in the Back: The sleek and sophisticated top offers plenty of versatility with a sweet peplum design in the front and a largely exposed back. So fun!
Fierce Fringe
16. Simple Fringe: The rustic design element isn’t reserved for Coachella. The fringe sleeves on this sweater tank prove your work wear can have some personality, too.
17. Wild Spring: You’re not in the Wild West anymore. Turn your cowboy dreams into high fashion with this fringed jacket that looks like it came straight from the runway.
18. Accessorize to the Max: The best way to ease into the most daring trends is through your accessories. You’ll quickly fall in love with fringe when you carry this oversized suede shoulder bag around.

Brenda Song Claims Alaska Airlines Separated Her From 2 Kids
Brenda Song and her family’s recent travel plans were affected by alleged airline drama.
“I didn’t know when you book your first class tickets six months in [advance] for your family of six for your son’s birthday, @alaskaair can just give away your seats the morning of with no warning,” Song, 37, claimed via her Instagram Stories Saturday, March 22, alleging that the airline split up the group’s seats.
Song and longtime partner Macaulay Culkin share sons Dakota, 4, and Carson, 3.
“We will never fly @alaskaair again,” Song stated. “And neither should you.”
Culkin, 45, for his part, reposted Song’s takedown of the airline onto his Stories, adding, “Hell hath no fury like a Brenda scorned.”
Alaska Airlines addressed the incident in a statement shared with Us Weekly.
“The experience these guests had today was unacceptable and not reflective of the care we strive to deliver. We have reached out to the family to make it right,” a rep for the airline told Us. “Traveling can be stressful, especially with young children, and we pride ourselves on being a top airline for traveling families. We are deeply sorry for adding friction to the experience. We appreciate that guests have a choice in the airline they select and we take our responsibility to deliver a safe, reliable, and caring experience every single time. “
Culkin and Song have been together since 2017.
“You’re absolutely everything. You’re my champion,” Culkin gushed of the Running Point actress during his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony in December 2023. “You’re the only person happier for me today than I am. You’re not only the best woman I’ve known, you’re the best person I’ve ever known.”

He continued, “You’ve given me all my purpose, you’ve given me family. And after the birth of our two boys, you’ve become one of my three favorite people. You’re somewhere in there. I love you so much.”
While Culkin proposed to Song in 2022, they haven’t been in a rush to tie the knot.
“We talked about eloping,” Song told Cosmopolitan in a rare joint interview with Culkin in January 2025. “But, I was, like, ‘If we eloped, my mom would have a heart attack that she wasn’t going to be there.’”
According to Culkin, he wouldn’t dream of disappointing his future mother-in-law.
“I wouldn’t even!” the Home Alone star quipped.
Culkin first met Song in 2014 through mutual friends, soon sparking a casual fling that eventually turned into something more serious.
“I saw this person he put out there — it was a product of this armor that he’s put on to protect himself,” Song told the magazine. “I could see that that wasn’t really who he was. I could see these glimpses of this really interesting, very sensitive, very intelligent, artistic person that he doesn’t really let show.”
Soon after, Culkin realized that he was in love with Song.
“I’d never felt this way before,” he recalled. “I believed in her. I mean, I believed in people before, but I believed in her down to my bone marrow. You know what I mean? I put it behind the armor though, behind that shield.”
