What ‘SNL UK’ Can Do That The U.S. Version Can’t

Published

Tina Fey on the red carpet

Tina Fey made history this weekend as the first-ever host of “Saturday Night Live UK,” and she wasted no time pointing out one key difference between the new show and its American counterpart.

The UK edition follows the same core structure as NBC’s “Saturday Night Live.”

However, Fey’s opening monologue offered an early glimpse into how the format is being adapted for British audiences, including one notable change that’s already generating buzz online.

Early feedback suggests that critics and viewers alike are largely viewing Fey’s debut on “SNL UK” as a success.

There has been particular appreciation for how the writers and cast navigated the difficult challenge of translating such a distinctly American format for a UK audience.

Fey has been working closely with the “Saturday Night Live” franchise for nearly three decades, first joining the show in 1997 as a writer before quickly rising through the ranks.

Her journey includes several major milestones, including becoming the first female head writer in 1999.

Fey later transitioned to on-screen work in 2000 as a co-anchor on the “Weekend Update” segment, initially alongside Jimmy Fallon and later with Amy Poehler.

This role helped turn the Pennsylvania-born star into a household name.

Even after leaving the show full-time, she remained a regular presence, returning as a host on multiple occasions.

Fey was first reported as the debut host of “SNL UK” in early March, according to The Sun.

The One Thing ‘SNL UK’ Gets Away With

Because “SNL” is performed live, NBC heavily self-censors, and the only time you are likely to hear a performer drop an expletive is if it happens by accident.

In her monologue from the premiere episode of “SNL UK,” Fey suggested that the UK version operates with no such restrictions.

The comedian said this when Michael Cera joked that he had heard her say “the f-word.”

“Oh, yeah. We are allowed to swear in this version of the show,” Fey replied.

Cera then took the opportunity to test that freedom: “Sh-tbird! F-cking b-llocks!”

“I think I would use it sparingly. It feels kind of unclassy,” he added.

Tina Fey’s ‘SNL UK’ Debut Wins Over Viewers Who ‘Expected A Disaster’

Two days before Fey headlined the launch of “SNL UK,” the Financial Times raised doubts about whether the concept could work in Britain.

“Sky executives know that bringing such a revered and quintessentially American show to the UK comes with a risk, especially with sketch shows on the wane for the past two decades,” the report noted.

But by the end of the debut episode, that tone had begun to shift, with early reactions moving from skepticism to a quiet appreciation.

“It could have been a lot, lot worse,” a review in The Guardian observed. “It could have been a lot better. But it is likely to become so as the team and the audience settle in over the coming weeks.”

Fans Already Demand A Separate ‘SNL UK’ YouTube Channel

One of the most common reactions in the comments section of the YouTube video of Fey’s “SNL UK” monologue was a call for a dedicated channel for the show.

“Why does this not get its own YT channel? I don’t want all the other Sky TV content cluttering up my subscription page,” one viewer wrote.

“Please have a UK SNL YouTube,” another added, while more argued that there is already a clear audience for it.

“There are UK comedy fans who would subscribe to a ‘SNL UK’ YouTube channel, but won’t subscribe to the main Sky channel because they don’t want to be inundated with other Sky videos,” one user said.

Cera was not the only notable guest to join Fey during her “SNL UK” monologue.

Graham Norton also made an appearance and impressed fans, with many already calling for him to return as host.

“We need Graham Norton to host an episode!!” one fan wrote.

An even more enthusiastic viewer added: “I want Graham to somehow co-host every episode!”

Rihanna Seemingly Addresses Baby Rumors, Talks "Little Pouch"

Social media hasn’t stopped mentioning Keyanna Joseph since Latto announced her pregnancy in the song ‘Business & Personal’ and its video. There’s been heavy speculation that Big Mama is welcoming her first child with 21 Savage. Following the baby bump reveal, social media users have been flooding Keyanna’s IG page with mentions of 21. She and the rapper share two sons. Keyanna finally broke her silence…but the tea is the bawdy she served in a new picNOT a direct response to the marriage questions lingering on social media!

Keyanna Strikes A Pose For The ‘Gram

Keyanna Joseph blessed her timeline with a new photo of herself, and it’s giving unbothered, quiet luxury! It’s her first feed post on the ‘gram since Feb. 23. This new post shows the mother of two posing next to a cream-colored piano. She’s dressed in black shorts, a printed long-sleeved blouse, and brown sandal heels. Joseph struck a pose from behind with her face slightly poking from behind her long, highlighted curls. Her luxury handbag, believed to be Hermes, is sitting on the piano. The caption? An emoticon sticking out its tongue. Unlike the caption in the embed below, it’s unclear whose home Keyanna Joseph snapped this photo in.

As stated, mentions of 21 Savage flooded Keyanna’s IG comment section. For example, @sexyshay02 commented, “Mrs. Abraham-Joseph” while @fittlifeofcoco name-dropped Latto: “Sis ain’t post since February now she poppin out cuz LAtto announcement…. Yall both know it’s a marriage for the paperwork so why we playing salty games keyanna 😬.”

@netta.aaa added, “tell us the tea girl🌚.”

“Forever ♾️ going to be the wifey 😍,” @thenum1_goat said.

“🙌🙌🙌 sit pretty.. when you know what it is, you don’t have to say much.. #BIGUnbothered,” @randiblanko advised.

“Pop itttttt! 🤏🏾💍,” @princessbarbsss wrote.

@__tema__98 got straight to the point with their comment, writing, “So you and latto are going to be sister wives? 👀.”

Is Keyanna Joseph Married To 21 Savage?

In 2020, rumors surrounding Keyanna Joseph and 21 Savage shifted to marriage. At the time, reports alleged that Savage, real name Shéyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, and Keyanna had tied the knot as a resolution to his legal troubles related to overstaying his visa. The H-4 visa had expired during his childhood in 2006. Savage was then raised in East Atlanta, which many fans believed to be his birthplace until ICE detained him, subsequently revealing he was born in London.

Neither Keyanna nor 21 Savage has ever confirmed or denied a legal arrangement. Notably, they share the same last name, “Joseph.” However, in all these years, no marriage documents have been cited or released in the media. Still, it hasn’t stopped the internet from calling for his “wife” every time the Latto dating rumors have popped off—and even more so this week with her pregnancy reveal.

On Keyanna’s Instagram profile, at least two posts, from December 2023 and July 2025, appear to show her wearing a diamond ring on her left ring finger. Though there’s no other evidence that the ring is an engagement ring, a wedding band, or related to 21 Savage in any way. Also, the co-parents do not follow each other on Instagram.

‘Dark Winds’ Stars Explain How Season 4’s Biggest Turning Point Yet Changes Chee and Bernadette Forever

Published

on

Zahn McClarnon in Dark Winds Season 4

Editor’s note: The below interview contains spoilers for Dark Winds Season 4 Episode 6.

Season 4 of Dark Winds has been quite the rollercoaster. From beginning with a series of bodies on the Rez to the journey to ’70s Los Angeles, the trio of Joe Leaphorn (Zahn McClarnon), Jim Chee (Kiowa Gordon), and Bernadette Manuelito (Jessica Matten) has been thrown for a serious loop. But after this week’s episode, “Shíká Nidanitáhą́ą́ (Those who were searching for me),” the budding conflict between Chee and Manuelito finally comes to a tipping point. Ahead of this week’s episode, Collider caught up with Kiowa Gordon and Jessica Matten, who shared their thoughts on where these two lovebirds are headed — and how Season 4 will change them forever.

Kiowa Gordon and Jessica Matten Explain the Tension Between Chee and Bern in ‘Dark Winds’ Season 4

COLLIDER: It’s no secret that fans have been hoping for a full-blown Chee/Bernadette since Season 1, but there’s still plenty of drama and tension between them this season. Were either of you surprised at Joe’s decision to choose Bern as his successor or by your characters’ respective responses to that decision?

KIOWA GORDON: Yeah, I think Chee was very surprised. She was surprised, too, in the episode.

JESSICA MATTEN: Well, I, in real life, was surprised because that doesn’t happen in the novels. Right?

GORDON: Yeah.

MATTEN: So that was a way to integrate Bernadette’s character into the [Leaphorn] and Chee novels. So, I was just kind of like, “What?” And I was like, “Oh, this is an interesting turn.” You know, so. [Turns to Gordon] I don’t know if you want to…

GORDON: Oh yeah. It was a surprise, but a welcome one for sure.

MATTEN: Well, not really to Chee.

GORDON: Not to Chee but to me personally. I was like, “Yeah! We could do that.”

MATTEN: We’re just rooting for each other. I saw that Kiowa had this big story arc this season, and I was like, “Good!”

GORDON: Yeah, the trade-off. She got the position, I got the meat. [Laughs]

John Wirth also explains the process behind choosing which Tony Hillerman book to adapt for each new season.

MATTEN: But it’s cool. It’s a team effort, and I think it’s important that the individual characters all get their arc, and get a moment to shine…

GORDON: You’re gonna get yours this [upcoming] season…

MATTEN: Am I? I don’t know, because you get to invest more into the character, and I think that’s what audience members are craving. I know when I watch shows, I want to go into the depths of the soul…

GORDON: Yeah, you dive deeper into it, and it’s amazing.

MATTEN: Yeah, and just how it works is that person gets that time on screen. But I think it’s very important, and in the end, it benefits us all. As a team.

Jessica Matten Reveals How Bernadette Manuelito Deals With Her ‘Dark Winds’ Trauma

Speaking of that, in Episode 6, Bern has this heart-to-heart with Emma that I think really highlights the mother-daughter dynamic between them that’s honestly been missing a bit from the last few seasons. Jessica, considering where Joe and Emma have been over the years, is there a part of Bern that maybe doesn’t want the job? Maybe she’s afraid of her and Chee falling down that same path of slow compromise?

MATTEN: 100%. And, as we were saying earlier… Bernadette is coming from a place of protecting their relationship. She also is very conflicted because she just experienced this post-traumatic stress of murdering someone [in Season 3], and she’s trying to deal with her own emotions still and process how to cope with that. Because this is the ’70s, it’s not like there are mental health clinics saying, “This is how you deal with your trauma.” Right? So, she’s trying to hold this all in on her own and remain solid, not just for her own safety but for Chee’s safety, for the person that she loves.

So, yes, and thank you for pointing out that scene with Bern and Emma, because I was talking to the writers and I said, “I feel like there’s something still missing in the arc of Bernadette dealing with her trauma and trying to heal from cold-blooded killing someone for the first time.” If you go back to Joe Leaphorn’s arc for the first two seasons — or three seasons — it was about his trauma [resulting in him] killing a man, essentially, but the man just freezing to death. Where Bernadette straight up stabs a man in the freaking jugular…

GORDON: In the neck!

MATTEN: And I was like, “I think we need to continue this arc and not let it go just in Episode 1.” So, our writers, Tom Brady and Max [Hurwitz], they beautifully incorporated this small but powerful scene between Emma and Bern. Emma is the mother she never had, so this is why that scene held so much weight. And it was beautiful to just connect with Deanna as a person and actor, and to have that moment because you’re right, we don’t have a lot of those matriarchal moments in the show.

And it’s a shame, honestly.

MATTEN: Yeah! And that’s why it was so beautiful to have that moment. It really helped shape not only her character arc for the season for Bernadette, but you see that beautiful river, that flow, go into her next scene, which is with Chee. And that scene is really powerful too.

‘Dark Winds’ Season 4’s Ghost Sickness Arc Has Changed Jim Chee to His Core

You guys mentioned earlier that Chee really gets the spotlight this season. Much of his arc in Season 4 has centered on the ghost sickness, which is one of the most interesting elements. In Episode 6 specifically, Chee encounters this harrowing vision of his mother, which is really chilling to the viewer. Kiowa, did you feel like this moment has been a long time coming for Chee? Is this ghost sickness almost a blessing in disguise for him to deal with these things?

GORDON: Yeah, it has to, otherwise he’s just going to stay stagnant, really. It’s really, it’s an opportunity for him to grow like he’s never grown before. To have the people at his back that he has… It’s the only moment that really saves him, because if he were to have to go through this darkness alone, I don’t think he would’ve ever saw the other side of it. So, to have Bernadette, to have Joe, to have Emma, and Toby Shaw, and [Sheriff Gordo] Sena, and Margaret Cigarete… without that tradition and culture, he would’ve been lost to the ages. So, it’s a nice thing to have him thrust through this and, of course, to have to deal with it in the here and now and not put it off any longer than he has been.

I don’t know if you remember this, but when we spoke at Camel Rock Studios last June, I compared Bern and Chee to Mulder and Scully from The X-Files due to their respective “believer” and “skeptic” roles on the show. In what ways, if any, do you think that those roles have been challenged this season?

GORDON: Yeah, I think [his] skepticism is a little wavering now. It’s like, “Oh, maybe I should dive deeper into the culture and the traditions and ceremony that I was supposed to have been brought up in and taught. And that should’ve been my firm footing. And to learn songs and all this stuff. To be a healer.” So, I think he’s trying to open up his mind towards that aspect now.

MATTEN: I think the writers did a brilliant job… I was excited for Kiowa, because, literally, ghost sickness is a reflection of, psychologically and spiritually, the pain a person is going through, and, within the Navajo culture, showing that physically, how it comes to life and what it looks like. There’s also the thing about Chee being jealous about Bernadette getting the position over him. I would like to think that part of his ghost sickness is also the bad medicine that he’s holding onto about that as well. All the demons coming to the surface come into this physical form. Everything that’s suppressed in the body. And I think it’s kind of a good lesson to the audience on a very subconscious level… It’s like it has to come out from somewhere, otherwise, it does come out in your body. Stress, cancer, disease. Dis-ease.

GORDON: Dis-ease.

MATTEN: Oh, fun part! Kiowa is so brilliant [in] just his commitment to just going there, but in between takes, you yell “cut,” and he’s back dancing and shaking it. [Laughs]

GORDON: Oh yeah, in my gown! [Laughs]

MATTEN: Yeah, he’s in his gown!

GORDON: I told them, “Can we just tear up the back real quick and just have my butt cheeks flapped open, you know? No underwear. That would be so funny.” He’s like, “This ain’t no show. We don’t need that.”

MATTEN: He’s doing this big dance in between… And then another scene we were shooting too, our director for an episode, Jim [Chory], he was like, “You’re one crazy motherf-cker. I don’t know any actor who could just like be joking around 30 seconds [later],” [because] you put out a really amazing performance crying.

GORDON: Yeah, that’s so wild.

MATTEN: So, as dark as our show gets, bless Kiowa because he keeps our energy elevated and light.

GORDON: But it’s just about finding that flow state and then having access to it immediately is really what I try and strive for. I guess that’s what it is.

So, Season 4 gag reel is what I’m hearing?

GORDON: I wish, dude! I don’t think anybody does that anymore.

MATTEN: Oh, that would be amazing.

GORDON: But I wish. That’s what I’m always hoping for every project I ever do. I’m like, “Where’s the bloopers?”

MATTEN: Even Zahn happening to be behind the screen and then going “[gagging noise]” whenever we have a “kissy scene” or whatever. Yeah, it’s just funny. We should have a bloopers’ thing.

Doja Cat's Father Dumisani Dlamini Accuses Her Mother Of Alleged Brainwashing & Sets The Record Straight On Deadbeat Claims

Whew, Roommates! Doja Cat’s father, Dumisani Dlamini is speaking out and blaming her mother, Deborah Elizabeth Sawyer, for their estranged relationship. In videos that surfaced online, Doja’s dad accuses her mother of allegedly “brainwashing” her into believing he abandoned her. His comments come after Doja previously spoke about her plans to meet up with him while she was performing in South Africa.

Doja Cat’s Father Breaks His Silence On Their Relationship

Videos surfaced showing Doja Cat’s dad, Dumisani Dlamini, recalling his relationship with her mother and claiming she allegedly paints a image of him that is not true. Additionally, he says he refuses to let her mom ruin his reputation as “a good man” when he’s always treated Doja well, along with Deborah’s other children. “That white woman brainwashed my baby that I left her. I never left my [kid].” From there, he calls out Doja, saying she had the chance to see him while she performed in South Africa, but instead of actually making arrangements, she played him. “Everyone saw it she came to South Africa had power to see and then she faked it.” That lead him to apologize and say he’s going to keep being a respectful, loving man. Dumisani continued, “I am sorry, I am a man of integrity, respect, and love.”

Doja Admits To Trolling Her Dad Amid Attempt Link-Up In South Africa

Doja’s dad’s comments come after she dropped a video on TikTok titled ‘The Deadbeat Chronicles.’ In the clip, Doja tells fans she planned to see him while she performed as the headliner at the Global Citizen: Move Afrika tour on March 20. She says they texted on WhatsApp, and during their convo, he allegedly told her he wouldn’t come to her show because she doesn’t reach out to him enough.

So she sent him a link to explicit content, which she claimed would give him access to tickets for her concert. Doja then says he told her his management team would handle the ticket arrangements since he was busy working, and he kept repeating that. So he sent the explicit link again, which made him question her intentions because he knew the link wasn’t legit.

Inside Doja’s Relationship With Her Father

According to PEOPLE, Doja and Dumisani had a rocky relationship for years. He had a brief relationship with her mother, Deborah in 1990 before their split. Then in 1992, he shot to fame after appearing in the film, ‘Sarafina’ alongside Whoopi Goldberg.

In 2020, Doja spoke about her dad during an interview with Radio One D.C. She gave him props for being a good actor but claimed she didn’t really know him. “He’s an incredible dancer and a great actor. But yeah, I don’t know him very well,” the rapper said at the time. Despite her comments in 2022, Dumisani said he was proud of her success and always believed she was destined for fame. “I’m so proud of her for what she has achieved… I’m not surprised, because it’s in the blood.”

Trump Announces Plan To Deploy ICE At Airports In Place of TSA

Trump Announces Plan To Deploy ICE At Airports In Place of TSA, Officials Respond (VIDEOS)

You know things are getting wild in Washington, D.C. when airport terminals start popping up in political tweets. President Donald Trump recently dropped a jaw-dropper on Truth Social that’s got everyone buzzing. And it involves ICE, the TSA—and a government funding clash that’s already messing with travel plans. Folks on both sides of the aisle are now wondering how far this move could go, and what it means for future trips.

Trump Says ICE Will Take Over Airport Security Next Week

Trump warned over the weekend that unless congressional Democrats agree to immediately fund the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), he reportedly plans to send ICE agents into U.S. airports as soon as Monday, March 23. In a Truth Social post, he wrote that these agents would “do Security like no one has ever seen before.” Trump also suggested they would focus on arresting undocumented immigrants—specifically pointing to individuals from Somalia as part of his reasoning.

Wait…What’s Really Going On At Airports?

Normally, airport security and passenger screenings fall under the TSA’s domain. However, the partial DHS funding shutdown has left TSA officers unpaid, leading to staffing shortages and long lines at airports across the country. With talks between lawmakers still stalled, Trump’s threat to deploy ICE isn’t just political posturing. It also taps into broader frustrations over travel chaos and the ongoing funding standoff. Critics argue that ICE agents aren’t trained for TSA duties, raising concerns about safety.

Officials Clarify ICE’s Role Amid Airport Chaos

Just when you thought the airport chaos couldn’t get more confusing, officials had to step in and clarify the situation. After Trump’s Truth Social post about sending ICE to “help” TSA at airports, top homeland security officials went on the record saying… hold up, not exactly. Now everyone’s trying to sort out what ICE will actually be doing and who’s trained for what.

Over the weekend, White House border czar Tom Homan told CNN that ICE officers won’t be manning X‑ray machines or directly handling passenger security scans like TSA agents do. Because, well, they simply aren’t trained for it. Instead, Homan explained that the idea is to let ICE free up TSA workers from certain duties so those agents can be reassigned to other jobs and help “move those lines” faster. He stressed that the plan was still being worked out with acting ICE Director Todd Lyons and acting TSA Administrator Ha Nguyen McNeill. Furthermore, they revealed their hope to have details finalized this week.

Jorginho Calls Out Chappell Roan Over Security Incident Involving His Daughter

Jorginho Calls Out Chappell Roan Over Security Incident Involving His Daughter

Professional soccer player Jorginho has spoken out against Chappell Roan following an alleged incident in São Paulo, Brazil, involving the singer’s security and his 11-year-old daughter. According to the sports star, the encounter left the little girl upset and called Roan’s response to her actions “disproportionate.”

The alleged incident happened weeks after Roan had a confrontation with paparazzi in Paris, telling them to stop harassing her.

Jorginho Detailed The Incident On Instagram

Jorginho | Instagram Stories

On March 20, Jorge Luiz Frello Filho, more famously known as Jorginho, shared a lengthy post on Instagram Stories, writing that his wife, Catherine Harding, also known as Cat Cavelli, and her daughter, 11-year-old Ada, had an “upsetting” experience in São Paulo, Brazil.

Ada, Harding’s daughter with actor Jude Law, was in São Paulo to attend the Lollapalooza. According to the soccer player, Ada was excited to see Roan, “an artist she really admires.” Jorgino even shared an image of the little girl holding up a homemade sign that read, “H-O-T-T-O-G-O I am watching Chappell Roan!”

Coincidentally, Harding and Ada were at the same hotel as Roan, and while having breakfast, Ada saw Roan walk by their table.

As Jorginho said, his daughter was excited and “just wanted to make sure it was really her.” Based on his account, Ada didn’t approach Roan. Instead, she walked by her table to have a better look at her. When she saw that it was, indeed, Roan, she smiled and walked back to her mother. “She didn’t say anything, didn’t ask for anything,” Jorginho wrote.

“What happened next was completely disproportionate,” he continued. A member of Roan’s security allegedly approached Harding and her daughter’s table and spoke in an “aggressive” way, telling Harding that she shouldn’t have let her daughter “disrespect” or “harass” other people.

“Honestly, I don’t know at what point simply walking past a table and looking to see if someone is there can be considered harassment,” Jorginho noted.

Jorginho said the encounter left Ada “extremely shaken,” adding, “He even said he would file a complaint against them with the hotel, while my 11-year-old daughter was sitting there in tears.”

The soccer player, who previously played for Chelsea and Arsenal and now plays for the Brazilian club Flamengo, said he knows all about “public exposure” and has been around well-known people for years, adding, “I understand very well what respect and boundaries are.” However, he believes what his daughter did didn’t cross any boundaries. “It was just a child admiring someone,” he noted.

He ended his lengthy post by addressing Roan and tagging her, writing, “Without your fans, you would be nothing.”

Rio De Janeiro’s Mayor Banned Chappell Roan From Music Festival

Jorginho’s post gained online attention, and even the mayor of Rio De Janeiro responded. In a post on X, Eduardo Cavaliere wrote in Portuguese that as long as he remains in office as Rio de Janeiro’s mayor, Roan will never be allowed to perform at Todo Mundo no Rio, a series of music megashows backed by the city of Rio de Janeiro.

Todo Mundo no Rio takes place at the Copacabana Beach and draws large crowds. Some artists who have performed at the festival include Madonna and Lady Gaga, and Shakira will be headlining the event in May.

In his tweet, Cavaliere said he doubts Shakira would do the same to Jorginho’s daughter and tagged the soccer star, inviting Ada as a guest of honor at Todo Mundo no Rio in May.

In March, Roan had a public confrontation with the paparazzi while she was in Paris. In one video, the singer could be heard saying that she had repeatedly asked the paparazzi to leave her alone and let her go to dinner, but they wouldn’t listen to her. At one point, she refused to sign an autograph for a fan.

As The Blast previously reported, singer Boy George shared his opinion on social media and gave Roan a piece of advice. “The trick is to own your fame,” the singer noted, adding that he understands that being famous can be annoying. However, he said it was better than “being ignored” and called a “has-been.”

“It takes so much more time to say no to a picture or a signature. Boundaries are boring. Break them with the magic of kindness!” Boy George said.

‘Marshals’ Can’t Escape Its ‘Yellowstone’ Roots As It Sets Up a Colossal New Rivalry

Published

on

Randall Clegg (Michael Cudlitz) confronts Andrea Cruz (Ash Santos) and Belle Skinner (Arielle Kebbel) in the 'Marshals' episode "The Gathering Storm"

Editor’s Note: The following contains spoilers for Marshals Episode 4.This week, Marshals takes another leap into the greater world of Yellowstone as fallout from Kayce Dutton’s (Luke Grimes) past follows him to the present. “The Gathering Storm” has many meanings in this episode, which is chock-full of enough Yellowstone references and revelations to keep you on your toes. With more packed into this episode than the last few put together, Marshals continues to teeter the line between being a direct Yellowstone sequel and a spin-off that pushes to forge its own path and identity.

‘Marshals’ Sets the Stage for a Coming Storm Against Kayce Dutton

“The Gathering Storm” begins at Yellowstone East Camp as Kayce Dutton answers the door armed. As usual, Tate (Brecken Merrill) is at his maternal grandfather’s house, and so conveniently written out while Kayce deals with the aftermath of the bullet-on-the-doorstep threat from the end of last week’s episode. Thankfully, there’s no threat at all. It’s just Pete “Cal” Calvin (Logan Marshall-Green) with some security equipment to help Kayce prepare for whatever threat is coming. While Cal thinks Randall Clegg (Michael Cudlitz) is the man behind the threat after they killed his kin in combat, Kayce knows it could be anyone who hates his family name. Nevertheless, it doesn’t take long before we learn that the former is the truth in this case.

That night at the Bullet ‘n Barrel Saloon, Marshals sets up several different plotlines that the show has no room to pay off in this episode. Andrea Cruz (Ash Santos) flirts with her new cowboy love interest Ty (Tyler Courtad), Cal seemingly pines after the local bartender Maddie (Morgan Lindholm) — before a brief sidebar with a local named Henry (Gabriel Casdorph) about the Clegg family — and Miles (Tatanka Means) runs into a family member named Sabrina (Chelsea Gray) to discuss his past at Broken Rock. But all this is preamble because the real action doesn’t start until the next day, when, at Marshals HQ, the team is met by Harry Gifford (Brett Cullen), who reveals that Randall Clegg is claiming that his son Carson’s civil rights were violated when Kayce killed him last week. With Kayce under the microscope (and benched for the time being), Cruz is left in charge of the internal investigation. So, rather than stick around and twiddle their thumbs, Kayce and Cal go off and help the Department of Forestry in the hunt for “transplant” rancher Tom Weaver (Chris Mulkey), after his daughter, Dolly (Ellyn Jameson), believes he has gone missing in the nearby Bridger Mountains.

⚖️
Mayor of Kingstown

You are a Dutton — or you might as well be. You understand that some things are worth protecting at any cost, and that the modern world’s indifference to history, to land, to legacy, is not something you’re willing to accept quietly. You lead from the front, you carry your family’s weight without complaint, and when someone threatens what’s yours, you don’t escalate — you finish it. You’re not cruel. But you are absolute. In Yellowstone’s world, that combination of ferocity and loyalty doesn’t make you a villain. It makes you the only thing standing between everything that matters and everyone who wants to take it.

You thrive in the chaos of high-stakes negotiation, where the money is enormous, the margins are thin, and the wrong word in the wrong room can cost everyone everything. You’re a fixer — the person called when a situation is already on fire and needs someone with the nerve to walk into it. West Texas oil country rewards exactly what you are: sharp, adaptable, unsentimental, and absolutely clear-eyed about what people want and what they’ll do to get it. You’re not naive enough to think this world is fair. You’re smart enough to be the one deciding who it’s fair to.

You are a Dwight Manfredi — someone who has served their time, paid their dues, and arrived somewhere unexpected with nothing but their reputation and their wits. You adapt without losing yourself. You build loyalty through respect rather than fear, though you’re not above reminding people that the two aren’t mutually exclusive. Tulsa King is for people who are still standing when everyone assumed they’d be finished — who find, in an unfamiliar place, that they’re more capable than the world gave them credit for. You don’t need a throne. You build one, wherever you happen to land.

You carry the weight of a system that is broken by design, and you do it anyway — because someone has to, and because you’re the only one positioned to do it without the whole thing collapsing. Mike McLusky’s world is for people who are comfortable operating where there are no good options, only less catastrophic ones. You speak every language: law enforcement, criminal, political, human. That fluency makes you invaluable and it makes you a target. You’ve made your peace with both. Mayor of Kingstown belongs to people who understand that keeping the peace is not the same as being at peace — and who do the job regardless.

But for those thinking that the Clegg complaint is just background this week, it becomes clear that this will be Marshals‘ main focus going forward, especially after Gifford hounds Cruz about finding the Dutton skeletons in Kayce’s closet. Even if the Clegg evidence comes up empty, he wants Cruz to fish for something that the DOJ can use against Kayce. Turns out, the lawyer who filed Clegg’s complaint, Andrew Schroeder (David Lascher), has a history of filing claims against law enforcement. However, Belle (Arielle Kebbel) knows Schroeder well, so she and Cruz go to confront the weasel. However, things don’t go as planned, as Randall Clegg shows up in the flesh to reveal that he plans to make the “Dutton finally learn that a badge isn’t a shield for their sins.” Whatever they do or don’t uncover, he plans to go public with everything.

Back in the mountains, Kayce and Cal spot the smoke from a helicopter crash site and recognize that they’re close to Tom Weaver. The only problem is, they’re immediately held at gunpoint by an unknown man (Braxton Hale), who has been hiding out in the woods for some time. He claims that, after losing his job, house, and wife, he’s now fled to the wilderness to live off the land. After disarming him, they decide to let him go to get to Tom in time, but only under the stipulation that he goes to turn himself in. Arriving at the crash, they find Tom injured and the pilot, Helen, to be in particularly rough shape. But just as they try to stabilize her, a grizzly bear shows up and literally rocks the boat. Although Kayce manages to scare the beast off with a few shots in the air (despite the fact that that’s typically more likely to get a bear to charge at you), it’s too late for the pilot.

Meanwhile, back at HQ, Cruz, Belle, and Miles discuss Kayce and his history. Having realized that the best thing they can do to help his case is dig into his past, they discover that he has an exemplary service record in the Navy. Looking beyond his time in the Armed Forces, Miles notes that the folks on Broken Rock once whispered about Kayce’s assault on the local Montana-based militia that took Tate, which, for the uninitiated, occurred at the tail end of Yellowstone Season 2. Although Kayce’s father, John Dutton (Kevin Costner), was the Livestock Commissioner at the time (and retired only weeks later), it was a sketchy enough situation that it could be labeled “frontier justice.” At the very least, it will give Randall Clegg the ammo he needs. When they explain this to Gifford, he wants to use it as leverage against Kayce to get him fired, but pivots to claiming that Kayce killed Carson Clegg in revenge for shooting a man on the Rez who knew his dead wife.

Back in the mountains, Kayce criticizes Tom for valuing his ranch more than the life of his pilot. Although there were no adverse weather conditions reported before they took off, the pilot recognized the turning winds and staggered their seating to distribute their weight properly. In the end, this ended up saving Tom’s life, and Kayce notes that he should be grateful. But while they are at odds at first, they bond over the fact that neither one of them was able to pick their fathers. Like Kayce, Tom felt trapped in his Wall Street father’s shadow, and moving from New York to Montana to start a ranch was the best way to make a name for himself and start something new. Kayce certainly understands. But this is when things get a bit tricky. As Cal helps Kayce and Tom rappel down the mountain, they’re shot at by the man they’d previously let go before Cal can return fire. The former SEAL leader wants to jump back into the fray and hunt the man down, but Kayce convinces him to stick with the mission and get Tom back to his family.

Meanwhile, when Gifford and Miles return to HQ, they reveal that Kayce’s late wife, Monica (Kelsey Asbille), was beloved by the man whom the Cleggs’ shot on the Rez last week. Because Gifford’s the absolute worst, he believes this is enough of a smoking gun to hang Kayce and ostracize him from the Marshals, hoping to railroad him with the weight of the DOJ behind him. As Miles puts it to the rest of the group, “Government’s the windshield, the rest of us are bugs.” But when Miles recalls the events of the Clegg shooting once more to Belle and Cruz, the trio realize that the Clegg brothers didn’t have eyes on Kayce or Miles yet when the IED went off. As it turns out, the Clegg family had been piggybacking on local wildlife cameras in the area for years, and that footage ultimately proved Kayce’s innocence. Upon clearing her teammate, Cruz confronts Gifford about trying to play her against her team, and it’s clear she won’t get to ever again.

With his name cleared and his job secure, Kayce goes to the hospital to meet with a recovering Tom Weaver. Surrounded by family, namely his doting daughter Dolly, Tom rewards Kayce for saving his life by lending him some ranch hands to help with East Camp. To Tom, the Dutton heir is the type of lawman whose career he wants to ensure continues. And with that, Marshals solves the mystery of how Kayce can be a lawman and a cowboy at the same time. Oh, and if you’ve been wondering about some other Marshals mysteries over the first few episodes, the final few minutes of “The Gathering Storm” peppers in a few more revelations…

Will Kayce ever bond with his team? It turns out, Kayce surprises them by showing up at the saloon to enjoy a celebratory drink. Who was that strange man in the mountains? Cal reveals that the guy who shot at them was a serial bomber named Rudy Carpenter, who will definitely be coming back for seconds at some point in the future. Will Kayce ever get a new love interest? That’s answered the moment Kayce introduces Dolly Weaver, who hopes that he’ll give her a crash course in all things Big Sky. And what’s the story between Cal and this bartender that seems to hate his guts? As he reveals to Belle, Maddie is his estranged daughter whom he moved to the area to be closer to. With all of this in mind, Marshals has a lot of material to work with as Kayce seeks to atone for his family’s sins.

Marshals airs Sundays on CBS and is available for streaming the next day on Paramount+.

Pros & Cons
  • The rivalry between Kayce Dutton and Randall Clegg is promising
  • The father conversations between Kayce and Tom was a necessary coda to the former’s time on Yellowstone
  • Clearing Kayce’s name will hopefully mean we can move past all the “let’s talk about Kayce’s past” scenes between the Marshals
  • That is not how you should deal with a grizzly bear…
  • Kayce and Cal leaving their weapons behind feels like a massive oversight.

Man Arrested After Child Sex Dolls Found at Area Landfill

Published

on

A twisted discovery at a Utah landfill has led to the arrest of a 54-year-old man who allegedly believed he had adequately covered his tracks, police claim.

The Iron County Sheriff’s Office arrested Shane Alexander Larson, who lives in Cedar City, on Friday, March 20.

A week earlier, a worker at a Utah landfill called 911 after coming across a discarded box containing sex dolls resembling children.

The shipping label, police alleged, was left on the box that the dolls were shipped in, and while Larson had used a Sharpie marker to black out his name and address, police said in a booking affidavit that the text was “still legible.”

Cops successfully obtained a search warrant from a judge, which they later served at Larson’s home, where police allegedly found more than a dozen of the life-like dolls in his possession. Five of the dolls, authorities allege, were “made to appear consistent with pre-pubescent juvenile females.”

A man has been arrested in Tennessee after his wife found nude videos of their teenage babysitter on his phone, which were shot in the couple’s bathroom. Christopher Thomas Collins stands charged with nine counts of especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor, according to Hamilton County court records. Us Weekly can confirm that his […]

Several electronic devices were also confiscated from Larson’s home and will be searched as part of the investigation, according to investigators.

Larson was charged with six counts of distributing or purchasing a child sex doll, a third-degree felony, and six counts of possession of a child sex doll, a misdemeanor.

When questioned by police, Larson allegedly admitted that the dolls found at the garbage dump were his and that he is the one who discarded them. He said he got rid of the dolls “because they appeared to look too young,” according to the arrest report.

It was unclear if Larson was represented by a defense attorney on Sunday, March 22. He has yet to enter pleas to any of the charges.

In 2023, Utah passed HB108, a law to ban “child sex dolls,” defining them as anatomically correct dolls with features that resemble minors and that are intended for sexual use.

The enrolled bill makes possession a class A misdemeanor with a mandatory minimum $2,500 fine. It further makes distributing or purchasing a child sex doll a third-degree felony with a mandatory minimum fine of $10,000.

The arrest comes after authorities in New Orleans arrested a man for possessing child porn and importing a child sex doll. Jamie Borne was detained on February 25 after a routine probation turned up a “child-size sex doll” in his bedroom.

Borne, 30, is now charged with 40 felony counts of pornography involving juveniles under the age of 13 and one felony count of possessing, trafficking or importing a child sex doll. His bond was set at $2 million for the child porn and $50,000 for the doll.
