“The White Lotus” star took to social media Sunday morning to express disappointment over a skit that spoofed her character Chelsea, originally portrayed in the HBO series.

The segment, which aired Saturday night, was a pre-taped parody centered on Donald Trump and his team, but also featured comedian Sarah Sherman doing an exaggerated impression of Wood’s character, complete with a thick accent and oversized fake teeth.

“Fluoride? What’s that?” Sherman quipped in the sketch, while donning a distorted version of Wood’s on-screen persona.

Wood responded on her Instagram Stories, writing, “I did find the ‘SNL’ thing mean and unfunny xo. (Felt righteous, might delete later).”

She followed up with another post, saying, “Such a shame cuz I had such a great time watching it a couple of weeks ago.”

Acknowledging the show’s reputation for satire, the “Sex Education” actress clarified, “Yes, take the p-ss for sure, that’s what the show is about, but there must be a cleverer, more nuanced, less cheap way?”

Wood also took time to address a separate rumor that someone at HBO had called her “ugly,” firmly shutting it down.

“Nobody at HBO called me ugly!!” she wrote, adding that “White Lotus” creator Mike White had been her biggest supporter.

Following her posts, Aimee Lou Wood revealed that “SNL” had reached out and apologized for the sketch.

The incident comes just days after Wood opened up to The Sunday Times about her frustrations with how much attention her teeth have garnered throughout her career.

“It’s, like, cool, and now I want to stop f-cking talking about it,” she said in the April 5 interview. “Can I talk about my character? Why am I talking about my gnashers? It’s like now I’m just a pair of front teeth.”

The “White Lotus” actress explained that although she understands why people find empowerment in her embracing of physical imperfections, she’s still adjusting to being defined by them. “It does feel a bit weird that the thing I got bullied for is now the thing that everyone’s, like, ‘Woo!’” she said. “It’s still the thing that’s defining me.”

In a February interview with “On Demand Entertainment,” the “White Lotus” star revealed she never imagined she’d land roles in the U.S. entertainment industry.

“I just don’t think I look very American. Like at all,” she admitted. “It’s the teeth. Like, no Americans have my teeth.”

Wood went on to say that many American actors with distinctive smiles often end up getting veneers, conforming to the industry’s beauty standards. Her decision to keep her natural teeth, however, is now part of what sets her apart, and what audiences have come to love about her.
