You’re Killing Me’s Tom Cavanagh on Jack, Allie Finale ‘Bomb’

Youre Killing Me Star Tom Cavanagh Breaks Down Finale Bomb Between Jack and Allie Teases Season 2 Feature

You’re Killing Me’s season 1 finale left fans with more than one cliffhanger, including a massive roadblock in Allie and Jack’s budding romance — and a “monstrous” season 2 is already in the works.

Warning: Spoilers below from season 1, episode 6, of You’re Killing Me.

“I knew a little, which was great. I knew about it beforehand,” Tom Cavanagh, who plays detective Jack Kerrigan, exclusively told Us Weekly of the shocking romance twist that came to light during the Monday, June 22, episode of the hit Acorn TV series.

During the finale, Jack finally kissed romance author-turned-ameatur sleuth Allison “Allie” Chandler (Brooke Shields) at her and Gen Z podcaster Andrea “Andi” Walker’s (Amalia Williamson) book party.

Allie pulled away as Jack leaned in, causing him to tell her it was a “mistake” and they should just “forget” it ever happened, to which she agreed. However, Allie started to second guess her action during a restless night.

“They’re adults, right? Like, it’s Brooke Shields, they’re not kids,” Cavanagh, 62, told Us of the main characters’ road to romance. “They’ve gone through all these different iterations of romantic life [and] nothing’s going to necessarily intimidate them.”

He noted, “It’s lovely that they’re worthy opponents” and there’s a “will they, won’t they” dynamic between the two.

Fans held out hope for a “will they” moment after a drunk Allie decided to confess her feelings for Jack during the episode’s final minutes. In order to make it to Jack’s cabin, Allie had to wake Andi up from her guest house and convince her to drive, which she reluctantly did.

Once at the cabin, Allie tried and failed to have a Say Anything moment, holding her cellphone up over her head and screaming for Jack to come outside.

A mystery woman came to the door, which prompted Allie to say, “You’re not Jack.” The woman responded, “I’m Natalie, Jack’s wife. And you are?”

Allie gripped her chest as if to show the physical heartbreak she was experiencing in that moment before leaning over and throwing up on Andi’s shoes. The screen then faded to black and the credits rolled.

Looking back and Jack and Allie’s trajectory from season 1, Cavanagh told Us, “Jack’s hesitant for a very good reason that isn’t divulged right away, but if you [watch the] campfire scene [where Jack and Alli nearly kiss while drinking wine], you’re wondering, ‘Well, why are they just, you know, going forth?’”

He continued, “Now you realize, ‘Oh!’ And that it’s an adult reason for the way that it got played. As opposed to just dragging the viewer along.”

Cavanagh admitted that the wife twist — or perhaps Natalie is his ex-wife and a potential divorce is not finalized — comes at just the right time to leave fans looking for answers.

“There’s real impetus, and then you kind of drop that bomb at the end, like, “Hi, I’m the wife,’ you’re like, ‘Wait, what?’” Cavanagh said of the shocking cliffhanger. “It’s again well done on the writer’s part.”

Shields, meanwhile, exclusively told Us that she was just as surprised by Jack’s secret wife, confessing, “We have no idea what situation that is.”

Williamson, 27, teased, “No we don’t. Not yet.”

As the show gears up for season 2, Shields, 61, added, “We have an idea of what might be happening. But we just are [unsure].”

She revealed, “But I love to play a character that has this just catharsis, and this, like, ‘Oh, it’s all going to be [good when she] comes forward and then [she’s] slapped on her face.’”

The romance hitch, however, isn’t the only question left unanswered during the season 1 finale.

The majority of the episode centered around Andi’s hunt for her mother, who disappeared 15 years prior. After Andi and Allie’s car broke down on their road trip to New York, park ranger Melissa Grant (Natalie Brown) showed up at the right moment and offered to drive them.

Jack, however, soon discovered that Melissa was not a park ranger, instead she was a hitwoman searching for Andi’s mom.

The first season of Sheriff Country is coming to an end with Mickey finding out who secretly betrayed her. In Us Weekly‘s exclusive clip from the Friday, May 22, season finale, Mickey (Morena Baccarin) notices a moment between her love interest Alec (Wes Chatham) and Miranda (Kelli O’Hara), which makes her realize they are in […]

After Andi and Allie found the exact location of her missing mom, Melissa rushed off ahead of them, getting to the house first. When Andi and Allie arrived, they heard a gunshot before running in to find Jack and other police with a wounded Melissa in custody and Andi’s mom nowhere to be found.

There was, however, a hard drive with Andi’s name on it with a video message from her mother. In the video, Andi’s mom revealed she knew things about some “dangerous” people she worked for and made a deal to keep it secret to protect Andi and her father.

Now that one of the bad guys is getting a retrial, Andi’s mom is considered a loose end so she had to run once again — and she pleaded with her daughter not to try and find her.

“You know [with] that arc something even more monstrous is maybe out there that you don’t see at all,” Cavanagh teased to Us of the threads that will continue to be pulled next season.

The actor explained that there were “such high stakes” throughout the finale, but it was presented as “a melodramatic plot point for Andi” without any indication of the deeper mystery.

“There’s a giant through line that is in every episode, and you don’t even necessarily know that it’s in every episode,” Cavanagh said. “And then the culmination of that is like, ‘All right, no, we all have to be as serious as we can and save somebody’s life or people’s lives here, right?’”

You’re Killing Me was renewed in May for season 2. Season 1 is currently streaming on Acorn TV.

Meghan Markle’s Encounter With Serena’ Mom Resurfaces

Published

on

Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle attends womens final match at US Open Championships between Serena Williams (USA) and Bianca Andreescu (Canada) at Billie Jean King

One of Meghan Markle‘s infamous moments has resurfaced amid her longtime pal’s return to the field!

Before becoming the Duchess of Sussex, the former actress formed a strong bond with Serena Williams. They have frequently supported each other over the years, but recently sparked rift rumors.

However, a resurfaced video capturing Meghan Markle’s behavior during a 2019 run-in with Serena Williams’ mother seemingly hints at trouble in their relationship years earlier.

The drama occurred in 2019 when Williams was competing in a singles final match against Bianca Andreescu at the US Open. A video focused on the VIP stands showed the athlete’s mother, Oracene Price, seated next to Meghan, who attempted and failed to strike up a conversation with the older woman.

Body language expert Judi James weighed in on their interaction, theorizing that their behavior showed signs of pre-existing “tension” between Williams’ mother and the Duchess of Sussex. James called Meghan out for acting for the cameras, telling The Daily Mail:

“There’s a suggestion that the cameras have triggered her professional actress traits as she mimes tension, support, and even affection via some rather theatrical-looking movements.”

The Duchess Of Sussex’s Priorities Differed From Serena Williams’ Mother

James noted that Meghan probably opted for more performative movements instead of copying Price’s silent but focused demeanor during the match to avoid appearing cold on camera. However, the body language expert claimed her choice was the wrong move.

“The silent stare and hushed stillness of Serena’s mother would be a more authentic response to tension,” James explained, stating that Price prioritized staying focused on the match. The expert described her behavior as being “in the zone” and “oblivious to any external noise.”

On the other hand, Meghan allegedly prioritized leaving an impression for the cameras. James recalled that she had just welcomed her son, Prince Archie, months before the match and evidently wanted “the world to know that she is there to support her friend.”

The Video Resurfaced Amid Rift Speculations

The resurfaced video follows speculations of a rift between Meghan and Williams. The allegations began after the tennis icon dropped a botched promotion for the Duchess’s As Ever brand, which some fans saw as shady.

In the post, Williams filmed herself opening a box of Meghan’s chocolates, with many of the pieces out of their assigned slots. She confessed in the video that she wasn’t a fan of chocolate, but she enjoyed the Duchess’s treats.

The athlete also tried to promote the entrepreneur’s candles, but couldn’t pronounce some of the ingredients and gave up halfway. Fans slammed the post as a “very poorly done promotion,” with some wondering if Williams was subtly shading Meghan.

Serena Williams Scores Wild Card To Play Singles At Wimbledon

The attention on Williams and Meghan’s relationship may be linked to the Laureus World Sportswoman of the Year honoree’s return to tennis. Many are eager to see if the Duchess will return to the stands to cheer for the athlete.

After spending six months in the anti-doping testing pool, Williams became eligible to enter events in February. She recently earned a wild card to play singles at Wimbledon, an event she hasn’t won since 2019, per CBS Sports.

The tennis icon last played singles at a WTA Tour event in September 2022 during the third round of the 2022 US Open. When asked if she would consider a singles return at Wimbledon earlier this month, Williams implied that it was out of the question, saying:

“You think I’m ready for singles? I need to get to work.”

Meghan Markle May Not Be Welcomed In The UK

Besides the speculations of tensions in her friendship with Williams, the As Ever founder has been making headlines for her scheduled return to the UK. The Blast reported that she, her husband Prince Harry, and their two children were expected to visit in July.

The rare family trip would mark their first visit to the UK since 2022, when the couple stepped down from their royal duties and relocated to the US. Royal commentator Phil Dampier theorized the trip wouldn’t be as easygoing as the Sussexes might expect.

Dampier argued that many still blame Meghan for Harry’s estrangement from the Royal Family, warning that she might face hostile reactions from the public upon her arrival. He added that the Sussexes were likely to receive a warm welcome at the Invictus Games compared to being out in public.

Tom Holland Confirms Spider-Man: Brand New Day’s Main Villain Still Hasn’t Leaked

Marvel fans have spent months trying to uncover every secret hidden within Spider-Man: Brand New Day. From theories surrounding Sadie Sink’s mysterious role to speculation about multiple villains appearing in the film, nearly every aspect of the movie has become the subject of intense debate online.

But according to Tom Holland, fans still haven’t figured out the movie’s biggest mystery.

Speaking about the highly anticipated film, Holland confirmed that the identity of Spider-Man: Brand New Day‘s main villain has not leaked, despite countless rumors and theories circulating across social media. The actor has become famous for accidentally revealing spoilers throughout his Marvel career, making his ability to keep this secret under wraps all the more impressive.

The revelation only adds to the growing intrigue surrounding the film. Recent trailers have teased an unseen threat wreaking havoc across New York City, with Peter Parker facing an enemy unlike anything he has encountered before. The footage shows destruction on a massive scale while deliberately avoiding revealing exactly who is responsible, leading fans to speculate about everyone from classic Spider-Man villains to entirely unexpected MCU newcomers.

Holland has previously described Brand New Day as something of a detective story, with Peter investigating a dangerous mystery while also dealing with strange new changes to his own powers. The actor has repeatedly called the film a fresh start for the character following the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, with Peter Parker now operating completely on his own in a world that has forgotten who he is.

That secrecy has only fueled fan excitement. Every trailer frame is being dissected for clues, and theories continue to spread regarding the identities of both the mysterious villain and Sadie Sink’s undisclosed character. Yet Holland’s latest comments suggest that Marvel and Sony may have successfully pulled off one of their most closely guarded secrets in years.

Adding to the anticipation, industry trackers have reported massive interest in the film as ticket sales continue to surge, positioning Spider-Man: Brand New Day as one of the biggest movie events of 2026.

For now, however, fans may have to accept that the movie’s greatest mystery remains exactly that: a mystery.

And if Tom Holland is telling the truth, the villain hiding in the shadows is someone no one has guessed yet.

Farscape’s Most Annoying Character Was The Victim Of Flanderization

Farscape's Most Annoying Character Was The Victim Of Flanderization

By Jonathan Klotz
| Updated

Farscape is full of interesting characters. The series is centered on the only human in the galaxy, John Crichton (Ben Browder), but the ensemble cast is what turned it into a fan favorite for nearly 30 years and counting. Yet one of them, the insane Stark (Paul Goddard) is widely considered to be the worst of the bunch. He’s not supposed to be liked, but then again, it feels like over time the writers forgot his insanity was supposed to be an act and not his primary character trait.

Stark’s Insanity Was Supposed To Be Fake…ish

The trope of a character going from having one quirky personality trait to becoming dumber and more one-note over time has been dubbed, “Flanderization,” after Ned Flanders on The Simpsons. Flanders started out as the complete opposite of Homer Simpson, but over time, his religious traits became more and more prominent, overpowering everything else. That’s the case with Stark, who had a few amusing moments while crazy in the prison cell with Crichton, “My side, your side! My side, your side!,” but by Season 3, was a completely different character.

Stark has a fascinating background with his standout metal mask hiding his true nature: lift the mask, and it reveals pure energy, which Stark uses to help people ease their suffering, including “crossing over” to the other side. In the process, they leave a part of their soul behind with him, that includes knowledge and emotions. No wonder he’s unbalanced.

Stark Got Worse Every Season

The problem is that during his initial appearance, Stark confesses to Crichton that he’s pretending to be insane in order to keep Scorpius (Wayne Pygram) uninterested in him. Stark was even able to craft a key to escape the cell deep within the secret Peacekeeper base. Compare that to Season 3, and it’s almost two different characters.

After the death of Zhaan in Season 3 Stark becomes significantly unhinged. His once cute ranting in the prison cell becomes a regular cadence when he speaks, “You, dead. Me, dead. You, dead. Me, dead,” “Time’s up. Game’s on. Good luck.” He has his moments of lucidity, but generally once he’s on screen, he’s shouting.

Willing To Doom The Universe For Religion

During Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars, Stark, like Flanders, holds onto his religious beliefs so strongly that he’s willing to doom the universe because of them. When the last holder of the Eidelon’s power passes away, Stark resists helping him pass over, and thus, acquiring the part of his soul that contains the ancient teachings. It’s on the same level as Star-Lord messing with the removal of Thanos glove, except here, Crichton and Aeryn Sun are able to convince him to do the right thing.

Farscape is an exceptionally well-written series with strong characterizations throughout, that for the most part, avoids the trap of one-note characters. Even Pilot is given a tragic background. Stark, despite appearing in every season, devolves over time, and his final moment is more of a relief than a triumph. Jool develops and changes more over time, positively that is, than Stark, and she’s the second most-hated member of the crew. Stark had potential, and while he’s irritating, on any other sho he’d be a highlight, but the bar is so high on Farscape that someone was going to be left behind.

Bold and Beautiful 2-Week Spoilers June 22-July 3: Katie & Hope Blindside Forresters in Shocking Betrayal!

Published

on

Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Katie Logan (Heather Tom) - Hope Logan (Annika Noelle)

Bold and the Beautiful spoilers for June 22 – July 03, 2026 sizzle with Katie Logan (Heather Tom) and Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) pulling an epic blindside that has the Forresters reeling, angry, and scrambling.

We’re going to get into the latest spoilers for the two weeks beginning June 22nd, including July sweeps kicking off in week one and kicking into high gear in week two.

Bold and the Beautiful: Hope’s Secret Launch Revealed – Week of June 22nd-26th

On Monday, June 22nd, Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) is back and finds herself in a difficult position. She knows things are going to blow skyhigh. I’m sure Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) is excited to tell her that Hope for the Future is coming back and Hope is ending her leave of absence. And Donna will know, oh crap, this is about to get really bad. She’s going to be nervous around Brooke.

And we may see Donna go over and try to get Katie and Hope to stop the launch before it’s too late. But come on, Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) will never let that happen. And Katie would not agree to it either. At this point, she’s dug in, which is smart. I guess Bill puts pressure on Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) on Monday. I think Bill will snap if Wyatt tries to pass off that same fake diamond that he showed Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton). So, maybe we’ll find out if he got the real one or if that is the fake.

Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Dottie & Joseph Return

Tuesday, June 23rd, Morgan Fairchild returns as Dottie Bright. She and her assistant Joseph (Jim J. Bullock) get an exclusive sneak peek of Eric Forrester’s (John McCook) new couture collection at Forrester Creations. We have Brooke, Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), Eric, Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor), Zende Forrester (Delon de Metz), R.J. Forrester (Brayan Nicoletti) and others, all gathered in the CEO office when Dynasty drops the bomb that Logan’s new collection launches tomorrow because Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say the date of Logan’s fashion show shocks the Foresters.

So, it looks like they’re dropping the collection the same day as Eric’s or maybe even the day before. So, they’re blindsided because they had no idea Bill and Katie had moved so fast. We’ve also got Bill’s assistant, Alison, back and she may be the one who tries to block Brooke because after spills, Brooke storms over to Logan to rage at Katie for pushing out a collection the same time as Forrester Creations.

Brooke asked Katie who’s the designer, how she did this so fast. Hope’s hiding behind the screen and listening to Brooke going off on Katie. And Brooke’s unraveling, threatening to search the Logan offices. Katie laughs and calls her ridiculous. And Brooke gets more unhinged, and Katie keeps her distracted looking at her. That way, Hope can slip out and run from the office before Brooke sees her. And Katie tells Brooke she’ll find out who her designer is with everybody else at the launch of the new House of Logan collection. And Brooke’s going to leave mad. I doubt she’ll get to search the offices, though.

Bold and the Beautiful: The Collection Launches – Week of June 24th-26th

Wednesday, June 24th, Bill and Katie use Forrester to their advantage. So, they may tap into the buzz about Eric’s collection. Katie may use her PR contacts to invite people that may be in town for Eric’s launch just to kind of surf off their backs as usual. And Katie, you know, I think she’s going to do everything she can to get the limelight all on Logan.

The Forresters, meanwhile, are on the defense. Katie’s collection coming out right on top of Eric’s has the Foresters scrambling. They thought the spotlight was all theirs, but now Katie is grabbing it. So, the Forresters may try and see if they can steal the attention back, but at this point, they’re blindsided, angry, and frustrated, and they haven’t really found out the shocking news yet.

Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Electra Clueless

Thursday, June 25th is the first day of July sweeps, and Electra tells Will Spencer (Crew Morrow) she really hopes tomorrow is a big win for all of them. He heads into work, and at Logan, Katie and Bill tell their son Will about the jewelry line, and they swear him to secrecy. Bill tells Will he knows the jewelry line launch has him worried for his girlfriend, but Bill reminds him this is business. Wyatt and Shauna Fulton (Denise Richards) are there, too. And I think Will may be upset that they’re now competing against Electra, but this is, you know, as Bill said, it’s business.

Things are going to get awkward for Hope and Liam. So, I wonder if they have a run-in with Brooke maybe at the estate. Meanwhile, over at Logan, Katie and Bill are arm-in-arm, all smiles, doing final prep for the show. And Deke Sharpe (Harrison Cone) is excited. Everybody’s excited. This is going to be huge.

Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Lots of Casting Updates

Friday, June 26th, Dottie and Joseph are back and they may be going over to the Logan Fashion Show. We’ve got Donna back and we’ll see if she’s a Logan or Forrester. And the House of Logan hits the runway with their next launch. Shauna is there for it, so we may get a preview of the jewelry line as well. Although I’m sure the blue Hope for the Future diamond is meant to be the big finale piece when Hope and Deke walk out and take their bows.

There’s an Access Hollywood correspondent playing a guest role. Lots of models, Logan staff, influencers, photographers. Bill’s assistant is there. I saw a preview of what I think is the line in a California magazine that did an article about Bold and the Beautiful. We can’t show you the picture because copyright reasons, but if these are the outfits from the launch, which seems likely, they have almost a flamenco dancer flare.

I saw eight gowns, five black, one white, two black and white, red rose hair pieces. One has almost like a black hat. So, this is not what I was expecting from the fluffy blue stuff we saw at the preview. So, wait to see if the Forresters are going to push their way into the actual Logan event or if they’re just all going to watch the live stream at the office because we know Zende, Ridge and all of them are together for this. When they hear the House of Logan presents Hope for the Future designed by Deacon Sharpe, they are all going to freak.

Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Katie Logan (Heather Tom) - Hope Logan (Annika Noelle)Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Katie Logan (Heather Tom) - Hope Logan (Annika Noelle)
Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Katie Logan – Hope Logan

Bold and the Beautiful: July Sweeps – Week of June 29th Through July 3rd

Then the week of June 29th through July 3rd, it is the first full week of sweeps. Everything gets higher stakes. Jaws drop as Hope and Deacon make their official House of Logan debut and walk the runway at the end of the show. And Brooke cannot believe what she is seeing. I expect the fashion show and reception to carry over until Monday. So Katie’s thrilled, but Brooke may come over there and legit strangle her in public. Expect a big showdown where Katie claims she didn’t break any rules because Hope is a Spencer, not a Forrester, and a Logan, not a Forrester. So, she stuck to the deal, but Brooke may slap Katie sideways.

Anyway, Electra is panicking over the competing jewelry line and whether she’s up to it. She may be upset at Will for not giving her a heads up, but I think Bill’s going to press him hard to keep quiet. Electra may find out about the jewelry line the same day Hope’s collection launches.

Donna is going to be facing scrutiny from Brooke because she may ask her if she knew about Hope being at Logan. And Donna’s going to have to say, “Yeah, I knew, but I tried to stop it.” But Brooke’s going to feel betrayed by her and every living Logan. Katie, Hope, all of them. Steffy’s going to be furious and Ridge too. They’re likely going to talk about how gracious they were to bring back Hope for the Future and then this is how she did them. Lying and going behind their backs, which was really tacky.

Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: FC Takes Legal Action?

They might consider legal recourse because Hope is still their employee, but if they did that, it would probably just embarrass them in the fashion press. Hopefully Steffy hasn’t already sent out the press release about Hope for the Future coming back because that would be humiliating.

This House of Logan with Hope launch could really take the wind out of the sales for Eric’s couture launch. This is all going to be a scandalous story. First, we had Eric Forrester defecting over to Logan and the gossip about Ridge firing him. And then here comes Hope Logan, the daughter of Brooke Logan Forrester. That is huge. This is going to get so much attention.

I think the collection’s probably going to do really well and Eric’s collection may suffer, which is exactly what the Forresters don’t need. I expect R.J. to go on a nasty tirade about Will and the sneaky thieves at Logan and Ridge and Steffy may join in this time. They’re all going to be so furious. It’s going to be super soapy and I cannot wait to see it.

The Villain in Every Avengers Movie, Ranked

Published

Thanos wearing his armor in Avengers: Endgame

The Avengers movies were a huge part of the 2010s entertainment landscape. As the crowning jewels of the MCU and arguably the peak of the superhero genre in cinema, the Avengers movies broke records and attracted critical acclaim, not to mention intense fan fervor. The films brought together some of the silver screen’s greatest characters — Earth’s mighties heroes, indeed — to deliver thrilling adventures that perfectly represented everything that a great blockbuster should be.

A major reason why the movies were such successes was the villains. After all, a villain is a crucial part of any superhero story, and the movie adaptations were no different. Luckily, all four of those cinematic adventures had a compelling and endlessly entertaining villain to challenge the equally great superheroes. However, not all of these villains are the same, and one or two clearly stand out because of their characterizations, motives, inherent appeal, and the performance of the actors behind them. This list will rank every villain in the Avengers movies; declaring a winner might seem simple at first, but there are more nuances to this discussion than you would initially believe.

After the shocking ending of Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame delivered a suitably epic conclusion to the first three MCU Phases. Set five years after Infinity War, the film follows the remaining Avengers as they pull a daring time heist to bring back all those who were snapped from existence by Thanos (Josh Brolin). The movie pulls a shocking twist at the end of the first act by having a depressed Thor (Chris Hemsworth) chop Thanos’ head off. Thus, the villain in this movie is a 2014 version of the Mad Titan who travels to 2023 to battle the Avengers one last time.

To put it simply, the Thanos in Endgame is a far cry from the one in Infinity War. Reduced to a straightforward superhero villain, the Mad Titan is neither imposing nor particularly interesting in this movie. Instead, he just goes through the motions, checking every box in the “supervillain evil deed” list, to the point where he even commands a large army to fight the Avengers in the now-iconic third-act battle. Sure, Thanos delivers the thrills, but there is absolutely nothing compelling about him; his layered motivations are reduced to “I am inevitable,” and even Brolin seems uninterested in the role. Sure, we’re talking about a younger, less mature version of Thanos compared to what we saw in the previous movie, but it’s still a disappointment to see such a fascinating villain turned into a run-of-the-mill MCU baddie.

Ultron (James Spader) – ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ (2015)

Following the overwhelming success of 2012’s The Avengers, everyone wanted to see Earth’s Mightiest Heroes’ next adventure. Once news broke out that Ultron, the Living Automaton, would be the main villain, the excitement only increased, especially with the casting of James Spader. Avengers: Age of Ultron sees Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr) and Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) creating Ultron (Spader) to help protect the Earth. However, Ultron soon goes rogue and attempts to eliminate the Avengers, aided by the Maximoff twins, Pietro (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen).

Ultron is certainly an entertaining villain, largely because of the panache Spader brings to the role. The actor is clearly having the time of his life playing the automaton as a mix between Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark and Spader’s own Steff McKee. His dialogue is witty, his action sequences are solid, and Spader’s voice work is spot-on, amounting to a villain that has everything needed to outshine the heroes, which he kind of does. The main issue here is his motivation — AI going rogue and trying to wipe out humanity is more played out than Casablanca on TCM. His characterization is also weak at best, lacking the complexity of Thanos and the tragic nuances of Loki. Finally, it doesn’t help that Ultron’s so-called “age” is more akin to a long weekend. Spader does his best with the material, and Ultron is an entertaining-enough villain to antagonize the Avengers for two-and-a-half hours, but beyond that, he ranks in the lower tier of MCU villains.

Loki (Tom Hiddleston) – ‘The Avengers’ (2012)

It wouldn’t be an overstatement to say Tom Hiddleston‘s Loki is one of the MCU’s greatest characters. In fact, the God of Mischief might actually have the franchise’s best, most compelling character arc, which began in 2011’s Thor and seemingly concluded twelve years later, in Season 2 of his own spin-off show, appropriately titled Loki. Throughout that decade, Loki went from good to evil back to good, embodying the concept of the antihero better than anyone else. He died and came back to life only to die again, only to come back from an alternate timeline before being literally spat out of the sacred timeline itself. Through it all, he learned and forgot, then learned again, always remaining an inherently watchable character who you could easily root for.

As the main antagonist of 2012’s The Avengers, Loki is in full villain mode, delivering Shakespearean levels of drama while attempting to conquer the Earth. In Stark’s words, Loki is “a full tilt diva,” carrying the universe’s largest inferiority complex and severe cases of daddy and abandonment issues worsened by a literal god complex. Yet, that’s exactly what makes him so engaging on-screen; above all, Loki yearns, becoming strangely sympathetic even at his worst. It, of course, helps that Hiddleston is delivering the performance of a lifetime, chewing scenery left and right and often fully eclipsing the more stoic Avengers, who might as well be sticks in the mud next to him. Like Thanos after him, Loki is the real star of The Avengers, proving that in superhero cinema, villains really do have more fun,

Thanos (Josh Brolin) – ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ (2018)

As previously mentioned, the Thanos in Endgame was much, much different from the Thanos in Infinity War. In the 2018 epic, the Mad Titan is the peak of Marvel villainy, a character so incredibly compelling that he not only becomes the star of the movie but arguably of the MCU’s Phase 3 overall. Played by Josh Brolin, Thanos is a galactic warlord convinced that the universe must be in perfect balance to thrive, let alone survive. To achieve this utopian balance, Thanos seeks to gather all five Infinity Stones and wipes out half of all the universe’s life from existence. Despite the Avengers’ best efforts, Thanos actually succeeds and ends the movie smiling at the sunset, satisfied with himself.

Thanos’ motives aren’t exactly groundbreaking, nor does he reinvent the superhero wheel; the fact is, he doesn’t need to. The character remains gripping and surprisingly complex, acting not out of sheer malice but instead a genuine believe that life must be kept in check and that only he has the necessary will to carry the deed out. In a way, Thanos considers himself merciful, as he is bearing the burden alone, condemning himself to spare millions; sure, that belief is wildly misplaced, but it’s certainly narratively riveting, making him an incredible character to follow. His complicated relationships with his daughters, Gamora (Zoe Saldaña) and Nebula (Karen Gillan), add further intricacy to his characterization, painting him as a despot who pursues power out of delusion rather than bloodthirst. Thanos remains the MCU’s greatest triumph in terms of villainy, and he’s likely to be topped by anyone.

Days of our Lives 2-Week Spoilers June 22-July 3: Belle Uncovers Major New Clue – Abe Demands the Truth!

Published

on

Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Belle Black (Martha Madison) - Abe Carver (James Reynolds)

Days of Our Lives spoilers for June 22 – July 03, 2026 will see Belle Black (Martha Madison) working with Chad DiMera (Connor Floyd) and they find a new clue left by Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo). Plus, Abe Carver (James Reynolds) demands answers about Lexie Carver’s (Nikki Crawford) health.

We are going to get into all the drama, including bad things coming Kristen DiMera’s (Stacy Haiduk) way, thanks to EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) and Holly Jonas’ (Ashley Puzemis) medical and legal crises, plus hot stuff with Xander Cook Kiriakis (Paul Telfer).

Days of Our Lives: Stefano’s Chess Set Mystery – Week of June 22nd-26th

And now, let’s dive right in. On Monday, June 22nd, we have Chad showing Belle the key from the chess set, and she’s going to use it to unlock the board and finds another hidden clue. If you remember, Theo Carver (Tyler Joseph Andrews) found that key on Friday, and now Chad and Belle open Marlena Evans’ (Deidre Hall) puzzling chess set together. So, Belle finds an Italian lira note. It’s an older collector’s item because they use euros now. And the bill has composer Verdi on it. And he wrote La Traviata and Rigoletto. And of course, you know how Stefano loved his opera.

Andrew Donovan (Jude Ewing) is back and lays into his employee Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord). Andrew is warning Cat what she’s doing is way too dangerous and says she cannot continue, but Cat insists she already started.

Days of Our Lives: EJ Confronts Kristen – Sophia’s Death and Holly’s Crisis

EJ explodes on Kristen. And of course, by now EJ knows Kristen is the only one who knew Chanel Dupree’s (Raven Bowens) plans and would have told Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd) that and the ghost gun, which is something Kristen could get, but Sophia could not. EJ is screaming in Kristen’s face that he knows she tried to kill Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman). And Kristen’s going to deny everything, but she knows EJ’s going to kill her for it. He won’t believe her.

Marlena Evans reflects on her five decades in Salem. This is a huge milestone for beloved actress Deidre Hall, whose first air date on Days of Our Lives was way back on June 21st, 1976. So Marlena’s looking through a photo album and Paul Narita (Christopher Sean) shows up at her door and Belle is there as well. And Marlena tells them she’s taking a little stroll down memory lane and Belle wants to come along.

DOOL: Pills Investigation and Family Drama – Week of June 23rd-26th

Tuesday, June 23rd, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) makes it official. He is Steve Johnson’s (Stephen Nichols) new partner at Black Patch. And Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) opens up as her mom, Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans), listens. Also, this week, Joy has Kelsey in her stroller at the pub and runs into Steve and Kayla, which is awkward since Steve gave Stephanie the gun that she almost killed Joy with.

Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) panics as Joy drops a bombshell on him. I wonder if she is too scared to stay in Salem and is considering going back to New York. Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) needs a big favor from Xander and of course he will do whatever Sarah asked. Remember Xander was there in town square when Sarah tried to save Destiny’s life when she collapsed. So Xander’s going to make a call to get info on DiMera Enterprises Pharmaceuticals from two years ago when Clea died and of course she was Liam Selejko’s (Hank Northrop) ex.

Days of our Lives Spoilers: Holly’s Health Plummeting

Wednesday, June 24th, Holly collapses. She was struggling by the lake already and then it happens again when she gets back to town. So, looks like Tate Black (Leo Howard) takes her over to University Hospital and Sarah runs a drug test on Holly. It is positive for a controlled substance, which is an opiate. That is the same drug Sarah and Brady suspect killed the two girls and is made by DiMera Enterprises Pharmaceuticals. And it’s not something that Holly was prescribed.

Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez) takes Theo by surprise. She may be circling back to apologize to Theo again. Gabi misses their friendship, especially since a lot of people dislike her right now. Sarah and Brady dig deeper into the tainted pill investigation. They’re going to talk to Liam, who is back in Salem for this chat. Sarah and Brady want to hear about Destiny and Clea, both from Liam. Also, Arianna’s going to get a proper goodbye from Liam after he ghosted her before. Arianna has a ton of questions for Liam and gets answers that are going to make Gabi look awful.

Days of Our Lives: July Sweeps Begins – June 25th and Beyond

Thursday, June 25th, it’s the first day of July sweeps and Kristen is scared out of her mind and wants Xander’s protection. So, I wonder if Kristen will actually confess her plot against Johnny. I doubt it because I don’t think Xander would protect her if he knew because he really likes Johnny. So, Kristen’s going to have to lie, deny, and make up something.

Arianna blasts her mom Gabi and demands to know what she did to Liam. I wonder if Gabi can clean this mess up or if Arianna’s going to be done with her just as done as Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) is.

EJ gets a heads up on a big issue, maybe about the corporate deal tied to DiMera Enterprises Pharmaceuticals and that people are asking questions. He may hear that Xander’s poking around. Holly shares a theory with Tate and I wonder if Holly suspects somebody swapped her pills. Tate may think she’s being paranoid since Sophia is dead. Brady listens as Sarah opens up. I’m sure it’s more about these pill deaths. We also have that scene coming from the summer promo where Holly’s up at the hospital and Tate’s asking if those pills are hers and she freaks out on him.

Days of our Lives Spoilers: Alex & Philip Worried

Friday, June 26th, we’ve got Alex and Philip concerned about what is next for Titan. Gabi hasn’t gotten Stefan’s inheritance yet and another loan payment is coming up very soon. And there’s no lawsuit funds they can use now that Xander dropped the case. Stephanie does something empowering. Maybe she’s going to take a step back from Alex or maybe decide she needs intensive therapy. I think a week or two at Bayview wouldn’t be a bad idea if I’m being honest.

Tween Rachel Black (Lorelei Olivia Mote) is very upset. Kristen and Brady go up to Bay View to tell her about Sophia’s death and it scares Rachel because she thinks she might end up in a bad way like Sophia since the doctors at Bay View failed Sophia. And twisted Kristen sitting there hugging Rachel when she is the one who killed her bestie Sophia. It is sick.

EJ spills something while provoking Xander in front of Sarah. I think EJ wants to create a divide between Sarah and Xander because they’re looking into the tainted pills. EJ may blab that Xander’s sleeping with Kristen, knowing how much Sarah hates his sister. It’s pretty clever of EJ, actually. And this week, Sarah tells Xander that she hopes they can stop EJ in time. And Xander tells Sarah that she does not want to be in EJ’s crosshairs, but it seems like it is too late.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Belle Black – Abe Carver

Days of Our Lives: July Sweeps in Full Gear – June 29th Through July 3rd

The late Stefano’s mysterious chess set continues to have Belle and Chad obsessed with solving the problem. June 29th through July 3rd is the first full week of July sweeps. Expect storylines to pick up speed and to have a big July 4th event in Salem.

Chad and Belle continue to find clues and keep getting closer to each other, which is going to eat at EJ even though he thinks he’s got Cat on lock, which he does not. There is a mysterious person watching Chad and Belle and possibly Brady spying on them. And this person is doing Stefano’s bidding from beyond the grave, dropping clues.

Holly and EJ talk about how to beat Amy Choi’s lawsuit, but Holly has a health issue looming with those pills. EJ could always turn around and sue Amy for damages related to Sophia’s attack on Johnny. That might stop Amy in her tracks.

Days of our Lives Spoilers: Abe Wants Answers Now!

Abe demands answers from Lexie Carver. He can already tell she’s hiding something. And those symptoms of hers can’t be hidden from Abe and Theo for too much longer. The second dose of miracle serum that Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) gave her isn’t going to last too long or solve all the problems. Abe and Theo could lose Lexie sooner rather than later, maybe even by the end of July sweeps.

Kristen needs to watch her back with EJ. She is kidnapped soon and Xander may not care enough to help Kristen. Plus, let’s be real, she’s got it coming for what she did to Johnny. Stefan DiMera’s (Brandon Barash) inheritance could come through at the last minute, but then paying the Titan loan with DiMera dollars is going to come back to bite them all when EJ finds out. And Arianna may move into the pub and refuse to talk to her mom Gabi over the payoff stunt that she did with Liam that broke Arianna Horton’s (Vico Escorcia) heart.

Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) worries about Cat’s involvement with EJ, but Cat is not slowing down and ups the stakes soon. The question is, how far will she go with EJ to get the goods on him? Also, Sydney DiMera may show up in Salem for some summer fun and romance and drama during sweeps. Wait to see if EJ’s kid pops up.

Bruce Willis’ Unfairly Forgotten Heist Comedy Is Indiana Jones Meets Die Hard

Bruce Willis’ Unfairly Forgotten Heist Comedy Is Indiana Jones Meets Die Hard

By Robert Scucci
| Published

One of the reasons I love watching Steven Seagal movies is because the man’s a legend in his own mind. Every single movie revolves around how good he is at everything he does, and the unintended humor comes from the fact that his co-stars look like they know he’s a total BS artist. That “damn, he’s good” energy, however, works exceptionally well in films that don’t take themselves too seriously. Bruce Willis’ 1991 heist comedy, Hudson Hawk, has John McClane himself cracking safes, stealing artifacts, evading authorities, all while trying to get a good cappuccino.

Bruce Willis is a legend in his own mind in his portrayal of the titular character, but he’s so much more badass than Steven Seagal because he does everything with a smirk and a wink, fully aware that we’re all here to have fun watching a movie.

Hudson Hawk 1991

Currently relegated to ad-supported streaming or on-demand rentals if you want an ad-free experience, Hudson Hawk might not even be on your radar, which is a shame because it’s funnier than it has any right to be. Bruce Willis is a human cartoon character, and it looks like everybody involved had the time of their lives making this thing.

Indiana Jones Meets Die Hard

Hudson Hawk 1991

Eddie “Hudson Hawk” Hawkins is a world-class cat burglar fresh out of prison and determined to stay on the straight and narrow, enjoy a cappuccino, and leave his life of crime behind him. Naturally, he’s immediately sucked into a grand conspiracy no sooner than the prison gates close behind him. Working alongside his longtime partner, Tommy “Five-Tone” Messina (Danny Aiello), Hawk is blackmailed into a series of art heists that put him at odds with mobsters, CIA agents, and Vatican operative Sister Anna Baragli (Andie MacDowell), all of whom seem to have their own agenda.

As the body count rises and the plot grows increasingly convoluted, Hawk learns that wealthy husband-and-wife duo Darwin and Minerva Mayflower (Richard E. Grant and Sandra Bernhard) are pulling the strings behind the scenes. Their goal is nothing less than total world domination through a lost invention of Leonardo da Vinci that can supposedly turn lead into gold. Our hero globe-trots like a live-action cartoon character, and as the stakes continue to rise, so does the slapstick humor surrounding them.

Bruce Willis Is A Cartoon Character In Hudson Hawk

Hudson Hawk 1991

Though Hudson Hawk’s 23 percent critical score on Rotten Tomatoes would make you think it belongs in the same league as Steven Seagal’s Out for Justice, that assessment couldn’t be further from the truth. Hudson Hawk is pure popcorn spectacle, led by one of the ’90s most charismatic action stars at the height of his popularity. It’s a hidden gem if you’re in the mood for a heist flick that never takes itself seriously and is pretty shameless about it.

Hudson Hawk 1991

Oh yeah, and it’s also worth mentioning that half of the henchmen constantly at odds with Bruce Willis are named after candy bars and are exceptionally good at being totally incompetent. If that sounds like a good time, you can stream Hudson Hawk for free on The Roku Channel as of this writing.
