The Amazon Trade-In program allows you to get a gift card and up to 20 per cent off a new qualifying Amazon device.
Amazon said, “We make it easy for you to retire your devices without sending them into the waste stream.”
Amazon said all customers need to do is “answer a few questions about the condition and quality of your item(s)”.

In return, you will receive a gift card value for your item(s), plus a promotional discount towards a new Amazon device.
They said: “You may receive your Trade-in benefits instantly or once we appraise and accept your item.
“Amazon devices that have been accepted for trade-in are evaluated to determine the condition of the device.”
These devices include eligible Amazon devices as well as eligible devices from other manufacturers.
“Fully functional Amazon devices may be sold as used devices by Amazon Warehouse.

“If a device does not qualify for resale, we recycle the device through an Amazon-certified recycler,” they added.
You can send in many types of items to Amazon Trade-in, including Kindle eReaders, Fire Tablets, iPads, streaming media players, Fire TV Sticks, Chromecast, Apple TV and Echo devices, Bluetooth speakers, and headphones.
Home security devices, including Ring, Arlo, Wireless routers and cell phones from Apple, Google, Samsung, LG, and Motorola are also listed, as well as gaming consoles, games, and accessories from Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, and more.
