If you’re wondering where to escape the unpredictable and sometimes cold spring weather this year in Bolton, look no further as we asked Bolton News readers to suggest their favourite cosy pubs.

From The Volunteer to The Black Horse, a few local pubs were praised for their service and overall cosiness.

A variety of pubs were recommended by locals with more than 130 comments being shared on our Facebook post.

Among those mentioned was The Volunteer on Radcliffe Road. One local said: “The Volunteer Darcy Lever”, adding a thumbs up emoji.

The Old Three Crowns was also popular among locals with one saying: “Let’s all get the three crowns on the map that’s where everyone needs to go”.

Another agreed, commenting: “amazing pub great atmosphere and locals friendly I love the place”.

The Black Horse in Tonge Fold was also voted as one of the cosiest pubs in Bolton by readers.

Another pub mentioned by locals was The Stork Tavern with one describing it as “cosy on the inside and home to Bolton’s biggest beer garden on the outside.”
