Recap: Major road in Bolton closed after crash

» Emergency services called to plane crash at Barton Aerodrome



Firefighters, police and paramedics were called Barton Aerodrome in Eccles at around 5pm today, April 29. 

Two people were reportedly involved and are said to be “seriously injured”. 

The incident is ongoing. 

Firefighter Lee Parry at Leigh Fire Station said: “Firefighters from the technical response unit at Leigh were called to Barton Aerodrome to reports of a plane crash. 

“The plane is said to be upside down. Two people are seriously injured. Fuel is leaking and there is debris around the area. 

“NWAS and GMP are also in attendance.” 

We have approached NWAS and GMP for comment.
