As reported by The Mirror, the soap may see more than one character face death with exact details currently being kept secret.
However, it can be revealed that two big incidents will take place on Coronation Street next week.

The Mirror reports that one devastating scene will see a child caught up in a near-drowning accident seeing him rushed to hospital.
Killer Rob Donovan will be held up in a hostage situation as a bullet is shot, but where it lands fans will have to theorise.
Elsewhere on the ITV soap, a mystery newcomer called Theo will appear and there’s growing concern for Debbie Webster.
The Mirror’s soap insider said: “It’s a really big week with a lot going on. Fans will be left on the edge of their seats, and just as things appear to ease up there’s more nerve-wracking and worrying twists not far behind.”
The upcoming week on Coronation Street will also see how Rob Donovan’s escape plan turns out.
Donovan threatens Tracy Barlow with a gun and takes her hostage along with his sister Carla Connor.
Carla’s girlfriend Lisa Swain also gets caught up in the incident as fans can expect a gunshot at the end of Tuesday’s episode.

An upcoming episode of Coronation Street will see Bertie Osbourne nearly drown when he wanders off from Jenny Connor.
While newcomer Theo makes his arrival but seems to be hiding something which Todd Grimshaw will discover.
