At around 1am on Sunday, March 23, Greater Manchester Police were called to reports of a collision along St Helens Road in Leigh.
Crews from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service were also called to the scene of the crash, where it was found that a car and double decker bus had collided.
It is understood that the collision caused damage to both vehicles and the bus driver had to be freed from his vehicle using specialist equipment.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: “At shortly before 1am on Sunday, March 23, fire crews were called to St Helens Road in Leigh following reports of a crash involving a car and a double decker bus.
“Two fire engines from Atherton and Leigh attended the scene, where specialist cutting equipment was used to free the bus driver.
“Fire service were in attendance for approximately 40 minutes.”
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police also confirmed details of the incident and explained that despite the damage caused, no injuries were reported.
