Dubai Chocolate went viral on TikTok in 2024 a few years after it was created by Sarah Hamouda of FIX Dessert Chocolatier in 2021.
It combined pistachio nuts and milk chocolate among other Middle Eastern flavours which drew the attention of many food reviewers.
Lidl released a £3.99 version of this with the J.D. Gross Dubai-Style Chocolate bar on their TikTok shop on March 20.
A limited stock of 6,000 bars was sold out within an hour, with around 72 bars being purchased per minute, according to the supermarket.
Due to its popularity, Lidl will be making the bars available to buy in its stores on Saturday, March 29.
In a statement, they said: “The in-store launch of the highly sought-after, viral treat will give Dubai Choco-lovers everything they’ve asked for – and make it the first own-brand Dubai Chocolate bar to be widely available in UK supermarkets.
“Landing on-shelf as the cheapest Dubai Chocolate in UK supermarkets, devotees can wave Du-bye to the hefty price-tag of other bars.
“Lidl’s Dubai Style Chocolate is an INCREDIBLE £3.99 for Lidl Plus customers almost three times cheaper than one well-known Swiss brand’s £10 offering.
“Those who missed the first drop on TikTok Shop, or simply can’t get enough of this irresistible pistachio-packed delight, can run to Lidl stores nationwide from Saturday, 29th March.”

Customers will be limited to buying two bars of the Dubai-Style Chocolate at a time in stores.
Additionally, if customers are buying a bar without the Lidl Plus app then the price of the bar is increased by £1 to £4.99.
Reacting to the news on Lidl’s Instagram page, fans were pleased there was another chance to get the Dubai-Style Chocolate.
One person wrote: “Decent bars these. Reasonable price too”.
