The horror crash happened yesterday afternoon and now officers are appealing for witnesses to the incident.

The road was closed from 3pm until late evening.

Detective Constable Nick Rhodes from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “Since the incident we have conducted a number of lines of enquiries to establish exactly what happened but are now appealing to anyone who was in the area to please get in touch.
