Police are on patrol in the town centre after an increasing number of reports of anti-social behaviour in recent days.
Officers have already identified the vast majority of those involved, and if they haven’t already been visited, parents and guardians have been told to expect a knock on the door from officers in the coming days.
A police spokesperson said: “Do you know where your children are? Do you know who they are with and what they are doing?
“Officers are currently patrolling Bolton town centre after an increasing number of reports of anti-social behaviour (ASB) in recent days. We have also been receiving a number of hoax calls from telephone kiosks and mobile phones in the area.
“The south neighbourhood team has already identified the vast majority of those involved, and if they haven’t already been visited, parents and guardians can expect a knock on the door from officers in the coming days.
“Any reports of criminal offences will be dealt with appropriately, and those engaging in ASB will be referred to the ASB pathway for further intervention.”
