» Police want information after Astley Bridge vehicle thefts



The string of attempted thefts occurred from the evening of Wednesday, April 2, to the morning of Thursday, April 3, in Astley Bridge.

In July last year, Greater Manchester Police warned of an increase in vehicle thefts in four areas of the borough.

Ford Fiesta ST lines and Range Rovers were targeted during the period.

Large vans were also been targeted, mostly Ford Transits and Mercedes Sprinters.

A GMP spokesperson said: “We are appealing for information following reports of multiple attempted thefts from motor vehicles on Astley Bridge, Bolton between 02/04/2025 evening and early morning 03/04/2025.
