Ramsbottom’s Chocolate and Cheese Festival will give visitors and resident foodies the chance to take advantage of offers at “every eatery” in the town.
Casked on Prince Street will be serving up half-price pizzas with live music from 3pm while The Bramble on Bolton Street is offering 20 per cent off its chocolate cocktails.
Organiser Clare Cummins, from Ramsbottom and also a senior Bury councillor, said: “It lands on the weekend before Easter so it’s a great opportunity for people to buy chocolate and other treats.
“It really picked up momentum last year and there is something for everyone to enjoy.
“Every food and drink place in the town will have a special offer so it’s a great way to support local businesses too.”
Taking place on Sunday, April 13 between 11am to 4pm, and events and stalls will be held Ramsbottom Civic Hall, at the Urn and in St Paul’s Church Gardens.
Entry is just £1 for adults and visitors can enjoy live music, stalls, demos, creative workshops and more.
The team from Vineyard Wines on Square Street will be hosting a talk in Ramsbottom Civic Hall to share their vino expertise on the day.
Chocolatier and professionally trained chef Ashley McCarthy will also be hosting a “chocolate painting” workshop for kids and there will be a cacao talk and workshop.
One lucky recipient can win a special chocolate prize by finding Willy Wonka’s golden ticket hidden in the town centre.
Ramsbottom Rotary Club will be on hand selling tickets to the annual duck race which is set to take place in Bridge Street Gardens on May 25.
