Starting on Monday, March 31, Ormston Avenue, Singleton Avenue, and Castle Crescent will see road closures for approximately four weeks.
The restrictions are set to remain in place to allow for resurfacing works.
Affected areas includes Ormston Avenue from Pendle Drive to Castle Crescent and Singleton Avenue from Ormston Avenue.
An alternative route will be available via Brownlow Road, Lee Lane, Lord Street, and Green Lane.
Barn Street is currently undergoing construction works, which have resulted in ongoing road closures.
The restrictions are set to remain in place as the Council has made an order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding on Barn Street, from Blackhorse Street to Queen Street.
The alternative route for drivers is via Deansgate, Howell Croft North, and Back Deansgate.
Back Bury Road has closed for approximately three days starting on March 25, due to water works.
Traffic is being prohibited from proceeding on Back Bury Road from St James Avenue to Empire Road, with an alternative route provided.
Central Street has been closed since June 10, 2024, for ongoing construction works.
The restrictions are set to remain in place for about 12 months, prohibiting all traffic from proceeding on Central Street from Kingsgate to its end.
According to the council, the order will end after 18 months or upon completion of the works, whichever occurs first.
Cheadle Square has also been closed since May 14, 2024, due to redevelopment works.
The restrictions were initially expected to remain in place for approximately seven months, prohibiting all traffic from proceeding on Cheadle Square from Queen Street to Blackhorse Street.
The order is set to end after 18 months or upon completion of the works.
Ellesmere Road has been closed since March 24.
Resurfacing works are scheduled to last for around five days.
The restrictions prohibiting all traffic from proceeding on Ellesmere Road from Morris Green Lane to Maltby Drive.
An alternative route is available via Hurst Street and Garfield Street.
Freshfield Avenue has been closed since December 11, 2023, for construction works.
The restrictions are set to remain in place for approximately 18 months, prohibiting all traffic from proceeding on Freshfield Avenue from West Meade to East Meade.
The order will end after 18 months or upon completion of the works.
Kestor Street, closed since February 22, is expected to remain shut for approximately 18 months due to public safety concerns.
The restrictions are set to remain in place, prohibiting all traffic from proceeding on Kestor Street from Mill Hill Street to the entrance of Sherwin Williams.
An alternative route will be available via Mill Street and Bury New Road.
The Market Street and Higher Market Street area has been closed since July 18, 2024.
Restrictions were expected to remain in place for around eight months, prohibiting all traffic from proceeding on various streets at their junction with Market Street and Higher Market Street.
