Three men were killed after a two-car collision on the A48 near Bonvilston in Vale of Glamorgan

Three men have been killed in a crash involving a car and a lorry.

The crash near Bonvilston in Vale of Glamorgan happened just before 17:00 BST on Tuesday.

It involved a blue Ford Puma car and a red and black Scania tipper lorry, according to South Wales Police.

A 51-year-old man from Porthcawl, a 34-year-old man from Bridgend and a 48-year-old man from Ferndale died.

The carriageway remained closed for several hours.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the crash or who may have dash cam footage to contact them.
