Tips and race-by-race guide for Taree on Tuesday

» Tips and race-by-race guide for Taree on Tuesday

Selections based on a soft track.

Race 1

6. Fun In Texas ran her best race when finishing second at Armidale at her last start. She had failed on the Beaumont track at Newcastle before that, but her previous form was solid. She gets her chance to break through here. 7. Hardash finished second at this track at his latest outing and that was his second run back from a break. He’s drawn well here and is suited with the apprentice allowance. 8. Prince Is Game is unplaced from five starts, but has shown enough ability in some of those runs to suggest he can make an impact here fresh on the back of a trial. 1. Doncaster Avenue has been just behind the placings in both runs at this track and he can show up without surprising.
How to play it: Fun In Texas each way.

Race 2

10. Golden Smile hit the line well when resuming from a spell with a third at Newcastle. The step up in distance should suit and expect her to be powering home again. 7. Jason Darren has been placed in all three runs since resuming from a spell and he looms as a major player again. 9. Cup Of Ambition was placed at this track and her latest start, and could measure up again, while 1. Annoint should not be too far away.
How to play it: Golden Smile to win.

Race 3

8. Rare Moon has been racing well with a couple of placings at Hawkesbury and Newcastle followed by a last-start fourth at Gosford. She’s shown enough ability to be rated the one to beat in this. 4. Crazy Mikki has been placed at this track in both runs since resuming from a spell and should be thereabouts again. 7. Tosmian has finished second and third in her past two starts at Scone and Port Macquarie, and she can get into the placings again. 1. Bold Design is on debut and has had two trials to prepare, finishing second in the latest of them at Muswellbrook.
How to play it: Rare Moon to win.

Race 4

6. Razella did the job well when resuming from a spell to score a strong win at this track. The extra distance should suit, and she can go on with the job now she’s broken through. 1. Pocket Eights ran home well to finish second at Scone at his last start, and if he can run up to that then he will be hard to hold out again. 3. Sweet Patriot bolted in as a short-priced favourite at Port Macquarie last time out and can make an impact again, while 2. Oceanfront is a winner of one from three and can run well fresh.
How to play it: Razella to win.
