Police are seeking information from the public after a 29-year-old male pedestrian was critically injured during an early morning hit-and-run in Etobicoke.

Toronto Police said officers responded to a personal injury collision on Sunday at about 2:30 a.m. in the Evans Ave.-Royal York Rd. area, where a vehicle travelling northbound on Royal York struck a pedestrian near the intersection.

The pedestrian was rushed to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police said the vehicle did not remain at the scene and was last seen travelling westbound on Evans. There was no description available for the vehicle.

A male victim was rushed to a trauma centre after a Sunday morning stabbing in the same area of Etobicoke.
Toronto Police said on social media that they responded to the incident at 9:20 a.m. in The Queensway-Royal York Rd. area, less than 1 km from the earlier hit-and-run, where they found a male victim with stab wounds.

He was rushed to a hospital via an emergency run.
One male was in custody.
Police had yet to provide an update on if any charges were laid and the condition of the victim.
