(Image: Greater Manchester Police) Neighbourhood Officers and their colleagues completed a traffic operation on Wigan Road and Deane Road on the afternoon of Thursday April 3.

Around 23 offences were witnessed by officers throughout the operation, which were dealt with via Traffic Offence Reports and Community Resolutions.

The Rumworth and Hulton Neighbourhood Police Teams will be continuing these operations on roads throughout the area.

(Image: Greater Manchester Police) The checks are one of several ways that police and other officials are working towards the “vision zero” strategy, that aims to achieve no deaths on the roads by 2040.

It was set up by officers from Bolton’s Prevention Hub which targets particular high-risk road routes in the areas which have seen significant collisions since 2022.
