The free interactive theatre show Pipes & Poo is coming to Elizabeth Park as part of the Theatre in the Park programme.

Presented by theatre company One Tenth Human, performances will take place at 11am and 2pm on Thursday, August 20.

If the weather is poor, both performances will move to the Bolton Library lecture theatre.

Described as an interactive family game-show adventure, Pipes & Poo follows Bubbles and Spritz as they take audiences on a “delightfully disgusting” journey.

Families can help Bubbles compete to win the golden crown while discovering what happens to waste after it is flushed away.

Created for everyone aged four and over, the show features interactive dance moves, competitive flushing, real toilets and even edible poo.

Previous audience members have described the production as “brilliant”, “amazing” and “like Horrible Histories for poo”.

The company aims to inspire young people through stories that challenge perceptions of science, technology, engineering, arts and maths (STEAM).

The project has been supported by the Royal Society of Chemistry, the Granada Foundation, Backstage Trust, Oldham Gallery and Z-arts.
