- The latest Game of Thrones prequel A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms has launched on Sky and HBO, captivating fans with its fresh take on Westeros. Young actor Dexter Sol Ansell, aged 11, plays Egg alongside former rugby player Peter Claffey, who plays the story’s hero Ser Duncan.
- Dexter previously appeared as Young Coriolanus Snow in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. He also starred alongside Keeley Hawes in Sky’s The Midwich Cuckoos, and began his career on Emmerdale, playing Lucas Taylor for 14 episodes between 2019-2021.
- Set 90 years before the original series, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms follows humble hedge knight Ser Duncan the Tall as he embarks on a chivalrous journey across a Targaryen-ruled kingdom. The series is based on George R. R. Martin’s Tales of Dunk and Egg stories.
- In the debut episode, Ser Duncan meets Egg, a mysterious stable hand whose mother has died. The boy eagerly begs to serve as the knight’s squire for an upcoming tournament at Ashford.
