» 2025 March Madness live updates, scores: Maryland wins on buzzer-beater

The first weekend of March Madness will wrap up Sunday in the Round of 32.

To open the day, No. 1 seed Florida took down No. 8 UConn in a back-and-forth affair. As the top-seeded Gators advanced to the Sweet 16, the Huskies’ hopes of becoming the first team to three-peat in over 50 years came to an end.

To cap the night, No. 2 Michigan State overcame a halftime deficit to beat No. 10 New Mexico. The Lobos loss means this NCAA tournament will be the first to not have a single non-major conference team in the Sweet 16 in the 64-team format since 1985.
