‘I’m pleased to confirm that Chris is doing well and currently resting,’ he said. ‘There is no truth to the rumours regarding a broken jaw.’

Shalom explained that the hospital visit was part of Eubank Jr’s ‘standard post-fight protocol’ and involved ‘precautionary checks to monitor his vitals’.

‘They take these measures very seriously, given everything they have experienced in the past,’ he added.

Eubank Jr prevailed via unanimous decision in what was described as a bout that ‘lived up to the hype’.

There was a dramatic moment in the 12th round when Eubank Jr appeared to be ‘out on his feet’, sticking his head through the ropes.

However, he managed to rally back in a demanding final minute to secure the win.

The fight had been highly anticipated, with Shalom describing it as ‘the biggest legacy fight of all-time’.

‘With their fathers standing proudly behind them, it was a moment that will forever be stamped in sporting history,’ he added.

Eubank Jr had faced challenges before the fight even began, failing his first weigh-in on Friday.

He was narrowly over the 160lb limit and consequently received a $500,000 (£375,000) fine.

The boxer did manage to make weight for the strict 170lb cap during the fight-day weigh-in.

These weight issues had caused concern for Chris Eubank Sr, who had expressed fears about his son’s safety in attempting to make weight.

Despite these pre-fight complications, Eubank Jr showed no signs of being compromised in the ring.
