» 10 min CALF STRETCHES for Flexibility (Easy Follow Along)



This is a 10 minute follow along CALF STRETCH routine for FLEXIBILITY and tight calf muscles. These are beginner-friendly stretches that you can do a few times a day or everyday to really improve your leg flexibility. Basically, it helps you get your feet from 90 degrees to less than 90 degrees which makes it easier to grab your foot while doing leg stretches.

Stretching out your calves will also help improve hamstring flexibility – if your hamstrings are tight making sure you’re also stretching your calf muscles!!! I used to do calf stretches everyday at the gym for 4 minutes while walking on the stair master as a warm up and I saw huge improvements!

These are stretches you can do AT HOME, they are also great for mid-day stretching breaks to help you get moving. Do these calf stretches everyday for ~2-3 weeks and you should see a lot of improvement!

  1. THIS IS AMAZINGGGG ? I've always been a bit flexible, I could do the splits but I've always had trouble touching my feet, it was really pulling on my calves. I just followed the stretches in this video and then tried touching my feet and it didn't hurt so much any more. I’m soooo impressed whatttt

  8. This video is a lot better than other stretching videos on Youtube. Calf stretching is so important after ballet practice, but most instructors ignore it. I especially like the warm up before stretching. That is also very important.

  18. Thank you for the calf stretches Elaine. The doctor said my calves are tight and I also have plantar fasciitis and these stretches help me tremendously!!! I sleep without so much pain at night after doing these calf stretches. I had a yoga block & a strap in my cabinet, these gave me a deeper stretch. My left calf feels tighter than my right calf. Should I do more stretches on the left calf to even them out? 🤔

    [EDIT: Happy DAY 3 – for Today's stretches I'd recommend using a yoga strap OR towel (mainly for the hamstring video). We'll be targeting the back side of our legs, these may be more challenging if you're really tight here but just try your best and see where you're at right now!
