  1. I’ve got a favour to ask! If you enjoy this conversation, please double check that you’ve liked the video and subscribed to the channel! That's a small way you can help us carry on doing this, really appreciate you! ❤🙏🏾

  2. 'You need fibre, and big-food aren't up to anything underhand'. Yawn. Why do you have these conformists on? Just two weeks before you had Georgia Ede explaining the fibre myth. You never push back. Get a grip

  3. I like the chat. We now know the scientist to avoid. 😂😂

  4. What a load of crap…..everyone knows at this point….or should I say anyone paying attention knows this is hogwash. Completely irresponsible.

  5. when I hear " I am foodie" it just means carb addict

  6. This woman is definitely on the food industry's payroll

  7. Hi, I really need to ask does having milk in a drink count as an eating event

  8. Holy seed oil queen, wonder if she ever wondered who would sponsor proper studies for seed oils, not just the industry lobby ones. Also she is so scientific but then again she will not have it if it takes away from the joy of eating.

  9. Seed oils nit bad for you…Who is paying HER?

  10. Its funny when you research how seed oils like soybean and canola were rapidly produced as waste product of war machine in the US and how the Government decided they shouldn't waste the waste but instead profit off it by over processing it further and putting it in all america food as "safe" and "healthy." You know instead of the healthy fats of beef tallow and butter that we disgust the easiest. What more evidence do you need then how unhealthy and obese the majority American population is with the cornerstone that preaches to eat seed oils and not the healthy natural fats.

  11. And I believe a lot of food industry designed their product to be addictive. I can't believe what this woman is saying. 😂

  12. I wonder who paid to get this message out. I have mad respect for DOAC but this is just out of wack😂.

  13. This lady is …so annoying lol. Also fiber is a giant scam

  14. This guest is almost as bad as that Weinstein guy… ouch…

  15. Recent studies, particularly one published on March 7, 2025, in JAMA Internal Medicine, have shed light on the health impacts of butter versus plant-based oils. This large-scale study, conducted by researchers from Mass General Brigham, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, tracked the dietary habits of over 220,000 U.S. adults—primarily health professionals—across three cohorts (Nurses’ Health Study, Nurses’ Health Study II, and Health Professionals Follow-up Study) for more than 30 years. Participants reported their food intake every four years, allowing researchers to estimate their consumption of butter (including spreads, blends, and cooking use) and plant-based oils (used in frying, sautéing, baking, and dressings).

The findings indicate a clear distinction in health outcomes. Higher butter consumption was associated with a 15% increased risk of total mortality and a notable rise in cancer mortality compared to those who consumed the least butter. In contrast, higher intake of plant-based oils—specifically olive, canola, and soybean oils—was linked to a 16% lower risk of total mortality, as well as reduced deaths from cancer and cardiovascular disease. A substitution analysis further revealed that replacing just 10 grams (less than a tablespoon) of butter daily with an equivalent amount of plant-based oil could lower overall mortality and cancer mortality by 17%, with olive oil showing particular benefits for cardiovascular health.

Experts attribute these differences to the fatty acid profiles: butter is rich in saturated fats, which are tied to higher LDL cholesterol and inflammation, while plant oils like olive, canola, and soybean are high in unsaturated fats (monounsaturated and polyunsaturated), known to improve cholesterol levels and reduce disease risk. The study aligns with broader evidence, such as the Mediterranean diet’s emphasis on olive oil, which is associated with longevity and lower chronic disease rates. However, not all plant oils are equal—palm and coconut oils, high in saturated fats, were not significantly consumed in this study and may not offer the same benefits.

Limitations include the observational nature of the research (no randomized control) and the participant pool, which may not fully represent the general population due to their health-professional background. Self-reported dietary data also introduces potential recall errors, though the study’s long duration and large sample size bolster its credibility. Critics of seed oils (like soybean and canola) on social media, often linked to movements like "Make America Healthy Again," argue they’re harmful due to industrial processing, but this study found no evidence to support that claim for unhydrogenated versions, challenging such narratives.

In summary, as of March 11, 2025, this research suggests that swapping butter for plant-based oils like olive, canola, or soybean could meaningfully improve long-term health outcomes, though moderation remains key, and individual dietary contexts matter. Future studies aim to explore the biological mechanisms behind these effects.
