Kryen Wilson has admitted he feels more confident than ever after beating defending champion Mark Allen at the Players Championship last night.
The snooker star was 3-1 down at one stage but rallied to set up a blockbuster quarter-final clash with Mark Williams.
Wilson secured his first world title at the 2024 World Snooker Championship, beating Jak Jones on that occasion.
And now, speaking after his victory, the 33-year-old has revealed that triumph has given him a huge confidence boost as he looks to add another crown to his collection.

“I’ve thrived from being World Champion and I’ve enjoyed all of this season,” he said.
“It has just given me so much confidence and it hasn’t been a burden on me.
“When you carry that confidence, you can transfer it onto the table and you can almost transfer it into your opponent’s minds.

“Nothing will ever compare to [winning the world title], but when you get a hunger for winning you want to do it more.”
Elsewhere on Monday, Mark Williams booked his place in the next round of the tournament by defeating Ding Junhui.
The 49-year-old has battled some eye problems and explained that ‘everything is blurry’, despite getting the better of his opponent.

“It is a good win for me because, if I am totally honest with you, my eyes have completely gone,” he said.
“For the last six months it has deteriorated quite badly.
“It was just long ones that were blurry, but now everything is blurry.”

He continued: “I will see what happens after the Worlds.
“The big scoreboard at the end of the table, I can’t even see it, I can’t make it out.
“It is all a blur and is getting worse by the month, so it is a good win for me considering I am half blind.”
