Predators lock up Mavrik Bourque to six-year, $33M deal

Chris MacFarland has locked up one of his newest acquisitions.

Bourque, who was a restricted free agent, was dealt to Nashville from Dallas on Wednesday alongside Ilya Lyubushkin in exchange for a 2027 second-round pick and a 2028 third-rounder.

The 24-year-old Bourque broke out in his second full season last year, posting 20 goals and 21 assists in 81 games for the Stars before potting a goal in the post-season.

Over 156 NHL games, Bourque has totalled 66 points (31 goals, 35 assists) in his career.

Bourque was one of several forwards acquired in the off-season by new general manager MacFarland, joining the likes of Ross Colton, Jack Drury, Alex Kerfoot, Adam Edstrom and Nils Hoglander.
