Monaco rally to edge winless PSG and reclaim top spot – Sports
Monaco made it three wins on the trot and reclaimed the top spot by beating Paris Saint-Germain, who were playing their first home match of the season. Luis Enrique’s men have now gone four matches without a win.
In Friday’s Premier League fixture, Bradley Barcola made his Liverpool debut in a 2-0 win over Ipswich. His international teammate Kylian Mbappé saw a stoppage-time penalty effort saved as Real Madrid dropped all three points away to Real Betis.
Elsewhere in Andalusia, Stage 13 of the Vuelta a Espana saw Wout van Aert outsprint France‘s Valentin Paret-Peintre to the finish line in Loja. The Belgian is now clear in the green jersey points standings, while Enric Mas remains in the overall lead with eight stages to go.
France began their Women’s Basketball World Cup campaign with a thumping win over Hungary, while the USA started their title defence by fending off China.
