Fallout – £7.99
This is where the apocolyptics Fallout series began, way back in 1997. Like many other Fallout games, the first in the series follows a vault dweller exploring the ruined East Coast of the U.S.A in California.
While you may at first be turned away by how old the game is, keep in mind that it is part of GOG’s Good Old Game Preservation Program, which helps to ensure that any old game is continously updated to work on modern systems.
Fallout 2 – £7.99
Fallout 2 is a somewhat direct sequel to the first game and continues Interplay Productions’ legacy in continuing the series. Similar to the first game, this is a much more traditional computer RPG compared to later games in the series and expands on some of the gameplay mechanics introduced in the first game.
Fallout Tactics – £7.99
As the name suggests, Fallout Tactics strays away from the more CRPG mechanics of the previous two entries and focuses more on tactical gameplay. However, the Brotherhood of Steel are a key focus in this game so if that’s an aspect of Fallout that you’re attrracted to then this game might scratch that itch.
Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition – £15.99
Fallout 3 is the first Fallout game to be produced by Bethesda and marks a major dispersal from the original games, now featuring a first-person perspective with a large open-world. If you want to play a Fallout game that’s more akin to modern games then Fallout 3 may be a good place to start.
Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition – £15.99
New Vegas, while published by Bethesda, was actually developed by Obsidian, which built a reputation for impressive storytelling by the time this came out in 2010 and this game attests to that. With deeper gameplay and storytelling mechanics than Fallout 3, New Vegas is regularly ranked by fans and critics as one of the best Fallout games to ever come out.
Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition -£34.99
Similar to other Fallout games made by Bethesda, Fallout 4 takes players into a large open-world, only this time exploring the Commonwealth. As Fallout 4 is the newest game on this list, it features a number of improvements over previous titles, including improved graphics and more seamless compatibility with modern systems.
