Bunting began his night with a convincing 6-2 victory over Nathan Aspinall in the quarter-finals, his first Premier League win in 10 years.
The Bullet didn’t stop there, carrying his momentum into the semi-finals against World No.1 Luke Humphries.
Humphries, who has struggled for form in recent weeks, had no answer for Bunting’s clinical performance.
The semi-final ended with the same 6-2 scoreline as Bunting dispatched the world champion in stunning fashion.
This impressive run set up a final showdown with Gerwyn Price, with Bunting showing remarkable consistency throughout the evening.
Price, meanwhile, had a unique route to the final after Michael van Gerwen missed the evening due to a shoulder injury.
The Welshman received a walkover win in his quarter-final match against the absent Van Gerwen.
In the semi-finals, Price faced Chris Dobey, who had earlier caused an upset by eliminating fan favourite Luke Littler from the competition.

The final proved to be a ding-dong battle with multiple breaks of throw as both players struggled to hold their advantage.
Price broke Bunting in the fifth leg to move into a 3-2 lead, but the Bullet immediately stole the next leg to level at 3-3.

Bunting then checked out on 96 to take the lead, roaring with delight as he celebrated with the crowd.
The Iceman fought back to edge ahead and was left needing just 56 for victory.
Price blew his opportunity with two match darts, allowing Bunting to level the match and force a deciding leg.
