“I won’t be there,” Rogan said Saturday on The Joe Rogan Experience. “I don’t go to Canada anymore. I don’t.”

“Nor should you,” retired UFC fighter and podcaster Brendan Schaub replied.

“I’d rather go to Russia,” Rogan said with a laugh.

Saturday’s episode of The Joe Rogan Experience was a companion for UFC Fight Night 254 and featured world champion grappler Gordon Ryan, who joked that Rogan can go to Canada when it becomes part of the United States.

“That’s never going to happen. That’s so crazy he asked them to be the 51st state,” Rogan said, alluding to President Donald Trump.

“I had a conversation with Trump about it. He goes, ‘I started calling him Gov. Trudeau just for fun, then a lot of people were saying it’s a good idea. I was like maybe it is a good idea.’”

Rogan’s comments arrive as the Trump administration continues to pressure Canada with a 25% tariff that began March 4.

UFC 315 will feature UFC Welterweight Champion Belal Muhammad defending his belt against Jack Della Maddalena.
