Millions of voters have just thirty minutes left to have their say in the first major electoral test since the 2024 General Election.

Ballots have been cast across 23 local authorities, six mayoral races and one parliamentary by-election.

Tonight’s verdict could have an enormous impact on the country’s political landscape, with Reform UK’s Nigel Farage hoping for yet another breakthrough.

A total of 1,641 council seats are up for grabs, giving the Tories the tough task of defending some 954.

Polls will close at 10pm and declarations are expected to trickle in throughout the night.
