A signed cover of the House report on the 2019 impeachment of President Donald Trump during his first term is heading to auction and could draw bids into the tens of thousands of dollars.
Believed to be just one of three copies of the Democratic report cover sheet signed by Trump, the auctioneer has set an opening bid at $3,000.
And while Alexander Historical Auctions set a price of $6,000 to $8,000, the seller noted that another copy was auctioned off for thousands more.

“A truly historic and excessively rare piece, with only three other examples known to exist. An identical piece sold earlier two years ago for in excess of $80,000,” said Alexander.
Trump was impeached twice during his first term in highly partisan votes. The initial impeachment was tied to a phone call with Ukraine’s president, and the second followed the Jan. 6, 2021 Capitol riots. The Senate did not convict him in either case.
The online auction is set for April 2 at alexautographs.com. It is part of a two-day auction, beginning April 1, of historical artifacts stretching as far back as the Revolutionary War.

Alexander’s online catalog said of its offering:
“A most controversial item, a signed printing of the cover sheet from the House Judiciary Committee’s ‘Report on the Impeachment of Donald J. Trump’, titled H. Res. 755, 1p. 4to., published December 16, 2019. This copy was signed in person by the president in bold black marker, and was obtained by a close member of the Trump administration.”
