The Dow hasn’t underperformed the S&P 500 this badly since April of last year.

The blue-chip index was down 450 points, or 0.9%, while the S&P 500 was up nearly 0.5%. The Dow’s underperformance is the largest in a single day since April 17, according to Dow Jones Market Data.

The Dow was also underperforming the Nasdaq by nearly 1.9 percentage points, which was its largest underperformance of the Nasdaq since Nov. 24.
