What to Know if You Still Want Your Tax Refund as a Paper Check
For people who still want their tax refunds mailed to them as a paper check, the Internal Revenue Service has a message: be prepared to wait for it.
The agency on Tuesday explained how it plans to comply this tax season with President Trump’s executive order to transition the government to electronic payments. Refunds this year are expected to be supersized thanks to new tax laws—on average $1,000 more than usual.
