Meet Peppa Pig and her family:
Peppa Pig is a lovable but slightly bossy little pig. She is four years old and lives with Mummy Pig, Daddy Pig and her little brother George.

Peppa likes playing with her best friend Suzy Sheep, visiting Granny and Grandpa Pig and looking after George. Most of all, Peppa loves jumping up and down in muddy puddles, laughing and making loud snorting noises.

George Pig is Peppa’s little brother. He is 18 months old and loves to play with his big sister, Peppa – even when she’s being bossy. George’s favourite thing is his toy dinosaur. He carries it everywhere with him. George can’t speak yet but can say one word very well: ‘Dine-saw!’

Mummy Pig likes jumping up and down in muddy puddles almost as much as Peppa. She works from home on her computer and sometimes lets Peppa and George help, as long as they don’t bash the keyboard. She is better at map reading than Daddy Pig and is very wise about most things.
Daddy Pig is very jolly and laughs all the time, especially when he plays with Peppa and George.

Daddy Pig reads the paper and gets excited about trips in the car. He loves cookies and pumpkin pie and Peppa teases him about his big round tummy. Daddy Pig can be a tiny bit grumpy sometimes when he can’t remember where he put his glasses.

STRICTLY bosses were “overjoyed” that Zara McDermott attended the opening show of the series, the Sun can reveal.

BBC execs think her decision to show up has helped “lift the cloud” hanging over the show.

Viewers were left shocked earlier this year when Graziano Di Prima was sacked for “gross misconduct” after footage emerged showing his treatment of Zara.

The former Love Island star was left traumatised by the incident which came as bosses probed claims Giovanni Pernice had bullied Amanda Abbington.

The BBC are still yet to announce their findings on those allegations.

But a source said Zara’s decision to attend last week and take a seat in the audience to support pal Pete Wicks has eased pressure on the programme.

The BBC insider said: “One of the claims that’s been leveled at the BBC, especially in relation to the Giovanni probe is that they’re not doing things properly or by the book.

“But the fact Zara has come back to the show and been willing to be a part of the Strictly family again paints a very different story.

“She’s been very happy at how the BBC has handled the whole thing. That’s why she was willing to come back.”

Graziano was sacked from Strictly following claims he’d hit, spat at and kicked Zara during rehearsals .

He has since admitted to kicking her by mistake but branded other claims “vile and false”.

He said in a statement: “I deeply regret the events that led to my departure from Strictly.”

The Sun also revealed that Zara had broken a leg bone in a tough training session during the show last year.

Graziano has since returned to his normal job, working for £6 an hour on a farm in his native Italy.

Yet he has hit back at the “shocking” way the pair’s friendship came to an end.

He told how “these vile, false allegations ruined my life in a matter of minutes — professionally, financially, psychologically and reputationally.”

Meanwhile, former Love Island star previously insisted the Strictly production team and those behind the scenes were “amazing to work with”.

GRAZIANO Di Prima has addressed his Strictly Come Dancing sacking with a statement on social media – see the details below.

In a statement shared to his Instagram page Graziano wrote: “I deeply regret the events that led to my departure from Strictly. My intense passion and determination to win might have affected my training regime.

“Respecting the BBC HR process, I understand it’s best for the show that I step away.”

He continued: “While there are aspects of this story involving external influences that I can’t discuss at this time, I remain committed to being strong for my family and friends.

“I wish the Strictly family and the BBC nothing but success in the future.”

He concluded the post: “I also want to thank everyone who has supported my career, both professionally and personally. When the time is right, I will share my story.”

However she added that her “experience inside the training room was very different”.

Zara explained: “There were witnesses to some events as well as videos of particular incidents which are incredibly distressing to watch.”

She signed off: “I would like to thank the BBC & BBC Studios for their swift action and incredibly high level of support, as well as everyone who has reached out to me – it really truly means a lot.

Phillip Schofield has hit back at reports he quit his role on This Morning following his widely reported affair scandal.

The former presenter, 62, will address the controversy in a three-part Channel 5 series, titled Cast Away, which sees him spend 10 days trying to survive on an island in the Indian Ocean.

It will mark the presenter’s first return to TV since he admitted to having an affair with a younger male colleague he worked with on ITV’s This Morning, which led to his departure from the daily chat show.

In the first Cast Away episode, seen by The Independent, a series producer asks Schofield how he’d feel if he couldn’t cope with island life, to which he replies: “Oh it is inconceivable that I would quit.”

He then seemingly references his This Morning departure, adding: “I’m fired but I never quit.”

Elsewhere in the programme, Schofield discusses the difficulties of filming the Cast Away series without the public finding out.

This August, it was rumoured Schofield would enter the I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here jungle for the forthcoming series, which will be hosted once again by double act Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly.

“I’m apparently four to one [odds] to do the other jungle programme,” Schofield says from his home in London before heading to the Cast Away island. “Now, although my best mates host it, there are some channels you just won’t work for,” he adds of his relationship with ITV.

“There are just some people you won’t work for.”

He adds: “I’ve just got to get out of the country now without anyone thinking, ‘Where the hell is he going?’ Not flying out of Heathrow or Gatwick cause that would be too obvious. So, I’m on my way to get the Eurostar.”

Schofield left ITV last May after he admitted he had lied about having a “consensual on-off relationship” with a younger man, which took place while Schofield was still married to his wife Stephanie Lowe.

The presenter said he arranged for the teenager to get work experience with ITV when he was around 19. He denied having any form of sexual contact with him until he was around 20 years old, after the man had been working on the show for a few months, and insisted the relationship was “consensual and fully legal”. After the scandal emerged, Schofield apologised for lying to the media, his friends and his colleagues about the affair and immediately left ITV.

Viewers have been left incensed at the news of the former presenter’s TV comeback and have called the move a “disgrace”.

One person said the presenter was “desperate for attention” while dozens joked about the concept of the show which sees Schofield stranded alone as they commented, “absolutely nobody wants to work with him so he’s doing a show that has no cast or crew”.

Another added: “Phillip Schofield on a desert island for 10 days in his TV comeback? The only way I’ll be watching that is if the island is heavily populated with lions, tigers, snakes and crocodiles.”

Schofield addresses the hostility towards him during the first Cast Away episode, saying: “I think there’d be an awful lot of people [who] hope that I never come back. Goodbye. Thank you. ‘What happened? He got washed out to sea. Well, there we go.’”

In the same episode, the former presenter reveals he was on the brink of suicide after his career fell apart. “I had everything in place,” he says. “Everything was set up.”

Schofield admits during the programme that the only reason he’s still alive is because his daughter Molly, 31, talked him down from “the edge”.

He explains his daughter had asked him: “‘Can you imagine what it would do to me if you did this on my watch?’”

“That was just enough to take a step back from the edge,” he explains.

“And I could have been hospitalised… But then I thought, ‘That is going to get out.’ So, I just raced to the family home and shut the gates.”

Cast Away airs over three nights beginning Monday 30 September.
