While some have rooted for the connection blossoming into something more, Baker’s ex-wife, Rebecca Rigg, is said to be shocked that the duo is even being linked, as she was “totally in the dark.”

According to a source who spoke to New Idea, her surprise stems from how Rigg maintained a “transparent” relationship with her ex-husband over the past few years, as well as her own closeness to Kidman, who is the godmother of their son, Harry.

Rigg’s friends are also said to share her surprise, but also think any such romantic move is “pretty insensitive,” given Kidman is like family.

According to a Woman’s Day source, the singer was left feeling “betrayed” and hoped the public show of closeness between the duo was all a ploy to promote their new project.

However, the connection didn’t surprise him, as he had long since suspected they were getting closer since they began filming. Still, he remains deeply unhappy about the situation.

“He already suspected they were getting close while filming. This is his worst nightmare come true,” the insider shared.

“He hates that they’re giving interviews about how close they are,” the source added.

Amid the situation, it hasn’t helped that Kidman and Baker have been openly gushing about each other in interviews.

One moment that stood out was an interview in which the duo discussed kissing on the set of “Scarpetta.”

If we all had access to those nifty little drug-administering pouches from 2022’s Spiderhead, I’m not sure we’d ever recover as a society. In the movie, pharmaceutical experiments are conducted in a controlled environment, and even then the whole operation spirals into chaos. In real life, if everybody could lower their inhibitions, laugh on command, and exploit every single pleasure sense through a mobile app, bridges would stop being built and nobody would be working at hospitals. That’s how powerful the drugs are in Spiderhead.

As you’ll soon see, nothing good could come from the kind of psychological experimentation depicted in Spiderhead, especially when those experiments are run by a man whose intent is dubious at best and nefarious at worst. The subjects are technically willing participants, but the conditions that lead them to volunteer will make you question who’s really in the wrong here.

A Minimum Security Drug Prison

Set entirely on the titular penitentiary, Spiderhead places its focus on an inmate named Jeff (Miles Teller). Serving time for involuntary vehicular manslaughter, Jeff participates in psychological experiments run by Steve Abnesti (Chris Hemsworth) in exchange for a reduced sentence. Steve is working on a love drug known as N-40, which causes its subjects to become insatiably aroused, and the experiments are wildly successful. Or so they think. 

After repeated, controlled sexual encounters under the influence of N-40, Jeff is asked which one of his partners should be subjected to a drug named Darkenfloxx, which causes extreme psychological torment when administered through their MobiPaks (the technical name for those nifty little pouches). Unable to choose, because N-40 only works short-term and generates intense feelings of lust without affection, Steve and his assistant Mark (Mark Paguio) conduct the Darkenfloxx experiment on a woman named Heather, who kills herself in less than five minutes.

Becoming increasingly suspicious of Steve’s motives, Jeff confides in Lizzy (Jurnee Smollett), another inmate he’s close with. Catching on to Jeff’s romantic feelings toward Lizzy, Steve pushes him to continue the experiment using her as the test subject, which blows the whole operation wide open. Though he was willing to comply in exchange for less jail time, Jeff draws a line in the sand when somebody he actually cares about could be put in danger. Steve is actively trying to see if he can manipulate somebody into killing their love, and Jeff no longer wants anything to do with it. 

Cool Concept That Bumbles Execution 

While Spiderhead has a lot going for it when you consider its concept and the talent involved, it falls flat because it doesn’t feel like a fully fleshed-out idea. While the angle surrounding Chris Hemsworth’s Steve Abnesti is explored to its logical conclusion, there’s so much more to unpack that barely gets touched.

The whole “big pharma is evil” plot is something we’ve all seen before, but there’s a better story here that never fully comes into focus. The more interesting angle is Jeff’s willingness to participate in these experiments when the subjects are people he barely knows, only to do a complete 180 when somebody he actually cares about is on the table. Pharma bros are going to do what pharma bros do, but it’s far more compelling to look at what kind of torture someone is willing to put another person through for the sake of self-preservation.

Jeff is far from innocent in Spiderhead. We know he accidentally killed his friend and girlfriend while driving drunk, and now he’s serving his time at an experimental prison. But he’s also taking the easy way out without ever having to take a long, hard look at himself. Instead, he’s working alongside his captor, pumping people full of drugs and waiting to see what happens in exchange for less jail time. The beats are all there for a deeper character study on Jeff, but the film keeps its focus on how unethical Steve is, which feels like a disservice to the story.

A solid concept that doesn’t quite stick the landing, Spiderhead is an interesting watch, but it’s hard to root for a protagonist who’s not very likable by design. If Jeff had more depth, we would have gotten a much more compelling story about compliance, ethics, and self-preservation. Instead, we get a movie that’s packed with talent but never fully realizes its potential.

Spiderhead is a Netflix original and can be streamed with an active subscription.

Tiger Woods Has Broken His Silence After His DUI Crash, Promises To Get Treatment

Woods recently broke his silence after his crash and DUI arrest in a short post on X. The golfer announced he plans to seek treatment and prioritize his health.

“I know and understand the seriousness of the situation I find myself in today,” Woods wrote. “I am stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health. This is necessary in order for me to prioritize my well-being and work toward lasting recovery.”

He continued, “I’m committed to taking the time needed to return in a healthier, stronger, and more focused place, both personally and professionally.”

Woods then concluded by saying he appreciates the support he has received since the incident, while also asking for privacy for himself and his loved ones.

Shortly after the incident, Woods’ inner circle called out the famous athlete, while pleading with him to take his health seriously.

A source told People Magazine that the 50-year-old needs “to get real” about his struggles and get some help.

After news of Woods’ new legal woes made headlines, several PGA stars spoke out, telling the golf star to take “accountability” and work on himself.

“I don’t like sugar-coating things, and the way I look at it, there’s got to be some sort of punishment or withdrawal or some sort of suspension from the game,” former PGA golfer Mark Lye told “Fox & Friends Weekend” on Saturday.

Lye continued, “I’m just wondering where the discipline that he’s learned to convey on the golf course is [going to] take hold in his personal life. Obviously, he’s got demons going on. We all feel bad for Tiger, but you know something, there’s got to be accountability, and it’s got to happen soon.”

He then went further to demand that the PGA take action against Woods, claiming that he will only “escape” punishment if nothing is done about his recent actions.

Tiger Woods Enters A Not-Guilty Plea In DUI Case

Although Woods has revealed he intends to seek treatment after his DUI crash, he still plans to fight the charges brought against him alongside attorney Douglas Duncan, the same person who represented him during his 2017 DUI incident.

The golfer was arrested after his car accident last Friday, in which his Land Rover flipped over while he was attempting to overtake a flatbed truck just three miles from his home. Woods ended up spending several hours at a Martin County jail cell before being released on bail for an undisclosed amount.

He was also hit with DUI charges, alongside property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test.

On Tuesday, Woods, on behalf of his lawyer, Duncan, entered a not-guilty plea, waiving his right to arraignment. The legendary golfer also requested a trial by jury.

Late NHL reporter Jessi Pierce was remembered at an emotional public visitation attended by her friends and family, including her widowed husband, Mike Hinrichs.

Over a thousand people paid their respects at the memorial over the weekend, according to a Tuesday, March 31, story published by The Athletic. The memorial service was reportedly held at the Mueller Memorial Funeral Home in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. 

Piece, 37, and the three children she shared with Hinrichs — sons Hudson, 8, and Cayden, 6, and daughter Avery, 4 — were all killed when their single-family home caught on fire on March 21. 

Hinrichs, who was out of town on business at the time of the fire, was seen periodically interacting with mourners during the four-hour memorial.

The visitation was also attended by Pierce’s parents, her two brothers, friends of her children and Minnesota Wild general manager, Bill Guerin, and his wife, Kara. 

The Athletic reported that “complete strangers” paid their respects, too. Pierce had made a name for herself with her respected hockey coverage, mostly focused on the Wild. 

A cause of the fire remains under investigation, but the White Bear Lake Fire Department has ruled out arson. 

According to a search warrant affidavit obtained by the Minnesota Star Tribune, Hinrichs was about to board a flight home when he received a call from police informing him about the fire. 

He told authorities that his entire family was likely inside the home. 

In the search warrant, made public on Wednesday, March 25, first responders said the fire was so intense that they were not able to immediately enter the home upon arrival.

The family home was “fully engulfed” with “flames shooting up dozens of feet in the air.”

Once firefighters were able to gain entry, they found Pierce and her three children “in the main living area at the front of the address near the entryway.”

The family’s dog was also killed in the fire. 

As part of their investigation, authorities are hoping to analyze potential causes from in and around the home, including flammables, candles, electrical wiring, battery-operated devices, heating devices, household appliances, any altered natural gas piping and vehicles on the property at the time.

Autopsy results for all four victims are still pending, including the toxicology results, the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office told Star Tribune.

A GoFundMe has been set up to financially assist Hinrichs and help cover funeral expenses. The fundraiser has raised over $230,000, including $10,000 donations from both the NHL’s Wild and Columbus Blue Jackets, at the time of publication.

We’re going to talk about Matt’s big plans to ruin the lives of the five people he hates most. We’re going to talk about his unhinged revenge plan and who might die before all is said and done. Let’s jump in!

Young and the Restless: Adam and Nick Are in Vegas Looking for Matt

You know that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) are in Vegas. They’re looking for Matt. Adam is entangled with Rizza, who they suspect is running Matt’s Genoa City fentanyl ring. And back in Genoa City, Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) and Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) keep getting threatening texts from Matt. So the big question is who will he start with on his revenge plan? His wife Sienna or maybe one of his past victims. Well, let’s dive into who’s at risk when Matt’s twisted revenge plan kicks off.

Revenge Target #1: Nick Newman

And we’re going to start with Nick Newman. You can already see the damage that Matt has done to Nick’s life. The eldest Newman son is already headed into a drug addiction spiral. I mean, honestly, he’s already in it. And it began in LA when Matt gave Nick that bag of fentanyl. He should have thrown it away right after Matt gave it to him. But Nick didn’t.

And when his prescription pain pills ran out, sure enough, he started popping that fetty that Matt gave him, and he got even more hooked. And now Nick’s buying drugs in Vegas despite knowing that Matt runs the fentanyl trade there. That’s how desperate he is for more pills. So Nick’s buying more illegal opioids this week and the dealer gives him a bonus baggie. And I definitely think the dealer is following orders from Matt. So, I suspect Nick has been given something much worse than fetty. Something that’s way more addictive. Maybe heroin or fentanyl laced with heroin.

Matt Goes After Nick on Y&R?

And I think clearly Matt wants to completely ruin Nick’s life and maybe then take him out. Matt may want to see Nick dragged down to the lowest rock bottom point he ever has been. And then Matt may overdose him. He might even show Nick videos of him tormenting Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Noah to torture Nick and push him into an overdose.

And of course, I don’t think Nick will actually die, but I think he might have a very close call because of Matt. And hopefully after Nick survives what I feel like could be an overdose scenario, it seems likely just at the rate that he’s eating pills, you know, but after Nick comes out of that and after Matt’s been dealt with, hopefully Nick Newman will head off to rehab to get clean, especially given that he’s got Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) addictive genes in him.

And let’s hope that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) doesn’t interfere like he did when Nikki was talking about rehab when she first came back from the whole thing where she had been given that vodka IV. Victor didn’t think she needed it. Hopefully, everybody will see that Nick has got to go to rehab. So, I suspect that Matt is going to try to cause Nick’s death, but it’s going to fail in the end.

Revenge Target #2: Sienna Bacall

Now, the second person to talk about is Matt’s cheating wife, Sienna. And I expect that Matt wants to punish her for the affair with Noah. So I could see Matt’s revenge on Sienna tying into what Matt is planning to do to Noah, like a situation where Matt is threatening Sienna to terrorize Noah and also, you know, terrorizing Sienna to—anyway vice versa, threatening the one and letting the other know it’s happening so that they’ll do whatever Matt says.

So, he may kidnap both of them and let Noah and Sienna, you know, see each other on a video feed while Matt is tormenting one of them and showing to the other. He could kidnap Sienna. And honestly, Matt could assault or rape her while Noah is crying and begging for him to stop. I mean, Matt is a known rapist after all. He is disgusting. There is nothing he won’t do.

Or it could be simpler than that for how he’s going to deal with Sienna. You know, we could see Matt just choking Sienna to death and dumping her body on the Newman Ranch for Noah or his family to find. If Matt did that, it would destroy Noah and he would likely blame himself for Sienna’s death. If anybody is going to die during Matt’s revenge plan, I feel pretty certain it’s Sienna, especially because they’re already lining Noah back up with Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver).

Revenge Target #3: Noah Newman

So, for revenge on Noah over and above Matt doing something bad to Sienna, he might just give Noah a good old-fashioned beatdown, intending to literally pummel him to death. Matt might snatch Noah up and send Sienna a video of him beating the hell out of Noah or threatening him with a knife.

Another thing I could see Matt doing is that he might lock Noah in a room with a bag of toxic fentanyl pills like he did back in LA and Matt could tell Noah that he better gobble up the pills or else Matt is going to rape and kill Sienna on Young and the Restless.

Or one more thought, Matt could do something really twisted and bury Noah alive on the ranch somewhere and just send a cryptic text about time running out. I mean, Matt really hates Noah because he had been mentoring him and he and Matt were friends and then Noah started banging his wife Sienna on the sly. So, I could see Matt doing something really dark and twisted to Noah.

Revenge Target #4: Sharon Newman

As for revenge on Sharon, I think it might be a blast from their horrible past because Matt might snatch Noah and send Sharon a video of him torturing her son. And to save Noah, Sharon might tell Matt, “Okay, fine. Take me instead.” And then he scoops up Sharon.

I would expect Matt to be a low-life dirt bag and try and sexually assault Sharon again like he did all those years ago. Matt’s fixated on Sharon. Always has been. So Matt could hurt people that Sharon loves. And Matt may keep her alive, planning to take Sharon out of town with him after he’s done with all the revenge. He may want to keep her.

Revenge Target #5: Victor Newman

So, the last thing to talk about is the great Victor Newman. He stole everything from Matt, the Shadow Room, and every dime he had. He made it so that he couldn’t stay in LA. So, getting Nick addicted would definitely punish Victor. But to add to it, Matt could have Riza kidnap Adam.

And then Matt himself could snatch Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Matt could tell Victor that it’ll cost him everything he owns. Chancellor, the ranch, all the cash in his account, or Matt will kill all three of the kids that Victor actually cares about. Now, I know he has another kid, but you know, he doesn’t care about all his kids equally.

And Matt could finish wiping Victor out financially after Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) stole all of his assets. And there’s a chance Matt might also snatch Nikki up and throw her into the mix, too. Then again, he might not because Victor is furious with Nikki right now and they are estranged.

But there’s a chance that she could come out of it unscathed other than worrying about her kids. But of course, Victor still loves Nikki, so I wouldn’t count on her being safe from Matt. But in the end, he might just focus on Victor’s kids and destroying him financially like Victor did to Matt. So, it’s a quid pro quo with Victor.

We’ll see how it goes. But Matt absolutely hates Sienna and Noah and Nick and Victor. And he has a twisted need to do bad things to Sharon. And I don’t think this is going to be pretty. And I think one person is going to die.

The “Magic Mike” star has dealt with several physical setbacks, both on set and off, and has been open about those experiences. 

Earlier in February, he underwent shoulder surgery, often keeping his fans updated along the way. While he made light-hearted remarks about the situation, he is now shedding light on the emotional toll the experience truly took on him.

The “21 Jump Street” star recently shared an update on his recovery and how challenging the process was for him. 

In a video posted to Instagram, Tatum appeared shirtless outdoors, zooming in to reveal the thin mark on his shoulder. He noted that it’s healing well and that he’s gradually regaining mobility, comparing how he felt to “a toddler in the gym.”

He further shared the good news that the doctors have permitted him to train. However, he cannot overlook how difficult being injured was for him. 

“This has been a rough one. I’ve been mentally up and down in my head more than I think I’ve ever been in my life,” Tatum admitted, per PEOPLE Magazine. In the caption, he described the period as “the lowest of the lows, but is starting to come out the other side.” 

He also noted that he had 6 weeks left before the start of his next film, “Isle of Mann Motorcycle Race,” and asked fans to wish him luck.

As Tatum reflects on the difficult period, he has remained open about his recovery, keeping fans in the loop since the day of his procedure. 

Per The Blast, he revealed that X-ray results showed his shoulder bones had separated, requiring a screw to hold them in place. Poking fun at the situation, he humorously dubbed it the “screwed shoulder.”

Weeks later, he posted a picture of his healing scar, noting he had initially thought he would have holes. On a more playful note, Tatum added that he no longer worried whether his shoulder would set off airport security machines.

Tatum has also been candid about how sustaining injuries took a physical toll on his acting, especially during stunts. 

As The Blast reported, Tatum revealed last September that while filming “Avengers: Doomsday,” he hurt his leg badly enough that he couldn’t perform his usual stunts. He had to rely on a stunt double for physically demanding scenes and only stepped in for close-up shots.

The 45-year-old explained that they had to patch up the leg and continue shooting. Tatum also revealed that he had already sustained multiple wounds years earlier while working on “Foxcatcher.”
