Benny Blanco Is ‘Not Allowed’ To Talk About His Sex Life

Published

on

Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco

Benny Blanco may be an open book when it comes to his relationship with Selena Gomez, but there’s one topic he says is strictly off limits. The music producer recently admitted he refuses to spill details about his private life with his wife, making it clear that what happens behind closed doors is staying there.

During a recent episode of his “Friends Keep Secrets” podcast, which he co-hosts alongside Lil Dicky and Kristin Batalucco, Blanco was put on the spot about his relationship with Gomez. When asked to reveal intimate details about their marriage, the producer quickly shut down the conversation. “I’m not allowed to talk about that publicly,” Blanco said.

His answer prompted Lil Dicky to jokingly ask whether the Only Murders in the Building actress had made him sign some kind of NDA. Blanco, however, insisted it had nothing to do with legal paperwork. “No. I’m just like, a gentleman,” he explained. “Kind of just a thing I do. I’m like, a gentleman. So I don’t know. Don’t worry.”

While Blanco may be staying quiet about one part of their relationship, he has previously shared plenty of other personal details about Gomez. Earlier this month, the producer jokingly revealed that the singer-actress has what he described as the “diet of a 5-year-old.”

During an appearance with Gwyneth Paltrow on the “Goop” podcast, Blanco recalled walking in on Gomez eating fast food first thing in the morning. “This morning I walked in, and she was eating Jack in the Box at 6:45 in the morning,” he shared, adding that Gomez loves “burgers and fries.”

According to Blanco, Gomez tends to favor “whatever is bad for your diet” and “doesn’t really like fruits or vegetables.”

Even though Blanco is keeping certain details of their marriage private, both he and Gomez have been candid about what makes their relationship work. In a past conversation with Interview Magazine, the couple opened up about how their opposite personalities actually complement one another.

“Oh yeah, I have the best time,” Gomez said of their relationship. “I’m more of an introvert that can be an extrovert, but the obligation has to be there. So it’s nice to have someone who balances that out and gets me out of the house.”

Blanco agreed, explaining that while he may be more outgoing, Gomez brings a sense of calm into his life. “But it’s so good because I get her out, and she calms me down when I need it,” he shared.

Blanco Gets Candid About Deep Connection With Gomez

The producer then got especially candid about just how deeply he feels connected to the singer. “She’s the first person that I’ve been with where I’m like, ‘I don’t even give a f-ck what’s going on. I could sit in this bed with you for 72 hours and feel like I didn’t miss anything,’” Blanco said.

He continued, “She’s like my f-cking heroin and Xanax combined. Whenever I’m feeling anything but perfect, she knows the exact thing to say.”

Blanco also admitted he wishes the pair had figured out their romance sooner. “I’m so pissed that it took this long. It’s like, ‘How did we not figure this out sooner?’ I’m 36 years old,” he added.

Gomez, however, kept it simple, responding: “Timing is everything.”

Blanco has never been shy about expressing just how deeply he feels for Gomez, previously admitting their relationship completely changed his outlook on life and love. Reflecting on where he was before they got together, the producer revealed he made a conscious decision to slow down and focus on finding the right person. “I remember before I was with her, I was like, ‘You know what? I’m going to stop everything I’m doing and just focus all my energy on being a grownup and being with the right person,’” Blanco shared.

Now, Blanco says their relationship feels entirely mutual, with both of them rooting for each other’s success. “Now I worship the ground she walks on, and I feel like she’s the same way to me,” he said. “There’s no ego between us. She’s praying for me to win, and I’m praying for her to win.”

The producer also admitted he constantly thinks about how to make Gomez’s life easier. “And I wake up in the morning. I know she does the same thing, and I’m like, ‘How can I make her life better?’” Blanco explained.

Getting especially candid, Blanco added, “Holding her isn’t close enough. I want to be inside of her whole body. I just feel a thing for her that I can’t even explain. I’m so sappy.”

‘Tracker’ Finally Revealed the Truth About Ashton Shaw’s Death

Published

on

Tracker 2024 TV Series Poster

Mystery solved, folks! After last season’s jam-packed finale, “Echo Ridge,” Colter Shaw (Justin Hartley) finally returned home on this week’s Tracker for the full truth behind his father’s death. Since the very first episode, Ashton Shaw’s (Lee Tergesen) murder has been at the forefront of speculation, but it’s not until now that we fully understand the events leading up to his strange death that stormy night in Northern California. “Chrono Stasis” reveals the full turn of events and opens the door for a much bigger threat going into Season 4 — depending on how the next episode turns out, anyway.

“Chrono Stasis” Settled ‘Tracker’s Biggest Mystery Once and For All — And Opened the Door to Another

In the very first episode of Tracker, we saw what happened on the ridge all those years ago from a young Colter’s (Prestyn Bates) perspective. A half-crazed Ashton Shaw had been pushed off a cliff, with his brother Russell (Jensen Ackles in the present, Matthew Nelson-Mahood in the past) watching silently from above. For all we knew, Russell killed Ashton to save Colter and their sister from their father’s mania. Given that their mother, Mary Dove Shaw (Wendy Crewson), went so far as to convince Colter that his brother was responsible, that was a safe bet. But after their Season 1 reunion revealed that Russell was not the killer, we had to wait until Season 2 to learn a man named Otto Waldron (Alex Fernandez) was behind their father’s big sleep — at the behest of their mother. Since then, Colter hasn’t given Mary Dove the time of day, only returning to Echo Ridge this week for answers at Russell’s urging (and just in time for Tracker to swap filming locations). While there, Colter’s mother breaks the silence on what we have been pondering since last year’s finale: no, she didn’t ask Otto to kill Ashton, he did that all on his own.

Your Partner Has Been Assigned
Your Perfect Partner Is…

Your answers have pointed to one action hero above all others. This is the person built to have your back — for better or considerably, spectacularly worse.

Rambo

Your partner doesn’t talk much, doesn’t need to, and will have assessed every threat in your immediate environment before you’ve finished your first sentence. John Rambo is not a man of plans or politics — he is a force of nature shaped by survival, loyalty, and a capacity for endurance that goes beyond anything training can produce. He will not leave you behind. He has never left anyone behind who deserved to come home. What you get with Rambo is the most capable, most quietly ferocious partner imaginable — one who has been through things that would have broken anyone else, and who chose to keep going anyway. You’ll never need to ask if he has your back. You’ll just know.

James Bond

Your partner will arrive perfectly dressed, perfectly briefed, and with a cover story so convincing it’ll take you a moment to remember what’s actually true. James Bond is the most professionally dangerous person in any room he enters — and the most disarmingly charming, which is the point. He operates in a world of layers, where nothing is what it appears and every advantage is used without apology. You’ll never be bored. You’ll occasionally be furious. But when it matters — when the mission is genuinely on the line and the margin for error has collapsed to nothing — Bond is exactly the partner you want. He has survived things that have no business being survivable. He does it with style. That is not nothing.

Indiana Jones

Your partner will know the history, the language, the cultural context, and exactly why the thing everyone else is ignoring is actually the most important thing in the room. Indiana Jones is brilliant, reckless, and occasionally impossible — but he is also one of the most resourceful, most genuinely knowledgeable partners you could find yourself beside. He approaches every situation with a scholar’s eye and a brawler’s instinct, which is an unusual combination and a remarkably effective one. He hates snakes and gets personally attached to objects of historical significance, both of which will slow you down at least once. It doesn’t matter. What Indy brings is irreplaceable — and the adventures you’ll have together will be the kind people write books about. Assuming you survive them.

John McClane

Your partner was not supposed to be here. He does not have the right equipment, the right information, or anything approaching the right odds. He has a sarcastic remark and an absolute refusal to accept that the situation is as bad as it looks. John McClane is the greatest accidental hero in the history of action cinema — a man whose superpower is stubbornness, whose contingency plan is improvisation, and whose capacity to absorb punishment and keep moving would be alarming if it weren’t so useful. He will complain the entire time. He will make it significantly more chaotic than it needed to be. And he will absolutely, unconditionally, without question come through when it counts. Yippee-ki-yay.

Ethan Hunt

Your partner has already run seventeen scenarios by the time you’ve finished reading the briefing, and the plan he’s settled on involves at least two things that should be physically impossible. Ethan Hunt operates at the absolute edge of human capability — technically, physically, and intellectually — and he brings the same relentless precision to protecting his partners that he brings to dismantling organisations that shouldn’t exist. He is not easy to know and he will never fully tell you everything. But he will carry the weight of the mission so completely, so absolutely, that your job is simply to trust him — and the remarkable thing is that trusting him always turns out to be the right call. The mission will be impossible. He will complete it anyway.

As it turns out, Ashton’s time with the Chrono Stasis program fundamentally changed him. When he returned from Alaska, he wasn’t the same man he was when he left, and he grew increasingly unhinged (see Season 1’s “Klamath Falls”). Not only did Ashton’s erratic behavior make him a danger to his children, but he became physically abusive to his wife as well. It was for this reason that she fought to get her children away, asking Otto Waldron (Alex Fernandez) to confront Ashton the night of his death. But despite what Colter had believed, Mary Dove never asked him to kill her husband.

All she wanted was to get her children away from a man raving about the government coming after him for his opposition to their highly experimental (not to mention illegal) work. Instead, Otto saw Ashton as a threat that could only be dealt with by force, so he pushed him off that cliff. As for why Mary Dove lied for years about Russell’s involvement, she was fearful that the shadowy government forces that robbed Ashton of his sanity might set their sights on the brothers if they decided to investigate any further. In her view, if the brothers were no longer on speaking terms, they would not be a unified threat to the folks behind the Chrono Stasis program — the same forces now at Colter and Russell’s heels.

‘Tracker’ Has Pivoted From Solving Ashton’s Murder to Unraveling His Legacy

Now that all the cards are on the table, Tracker is gearing its finale up to be a massive undertaking as the Shaw brothers do what their father never could: take down Chrono Stasis for good. This whole thing kicked off when they tracked down Dr. Serena Jukic (Jeri Ryan), their father’s old colleague who worked with him in Alaska. According to Jukic, the program was a DARPA-funded operation that aimed to explore the full range of potential “cognitive abilities.” This led to experiments with remote viewing, astral projection, and other pseudo-scientific notions that ultimately resulted in the use of child subjects — some of whom were abducted from their homes and families, including a young boy named Danny Kellerman. Although Ashton was removed from the program in the early stages of this development (and after the death of one child subject), Jukic stuck with it for years, though she regrets it deeply.

Season 3’s penultimate episode ends with Colter and Russell breaking into a government facility to rescue Danny, though he isn’t the only one who has been molded by the U.S. government. Considering how long this program has been going, and the sheer amount of manpower and resources that have been poured into it, it’s unlikely that the Shaw brothers will be able to take it down with only one more episode to go. Frankly, if they did, it would be a mistake. Tracker has always had some sort of mystery lingering in the background, but with the truth behind Ashton’s death finally revealed, well, the natural continuation of this thread is to expand the Chrono Stasis plotline further. Perhaps there’s a way to connect these experiments here to “The Process”? Or maybe it will relate to the government operation the Shaw brothers previously stumbled upon in Season 2’s “Ontological Shock”? Whether Tracker wraps up this entire plotline in the next episode or it carries on further, we can finally close the book on Ashton’s murder.

Tracker airs Sundays on CBS and is available the next day for streaming on Paramount+.

Real Technology Made Sci-Fi’s Scariest Movie A Joke

Real Technology Made Sci-Fi’s Scariest Movie A Joke

By Chris Snellgrove
| Published

For nerds of a certain age, Logan’s Run (1976) is one of the scariest sci-fi series ever made. The movie features a dystopian future where mankind nonetheless lives in debaucherous harmony, surrounded by automated machinery that takes care of everyone’s needs. But as the opening crawl warns us, there’s a catch: once someone turns 30 (as evidenced by a crystal in their hands), they must kill themselves in a ritual known as “Carousel,” after which they will be allegedly reborn. In reality, there is no rebirth; everyone simply sacrifices themselves in order to forcibly create a society where everyone is young and happy.

Logan’s Run (currently streaming for free on Tubi) is particularly frightening to Millennials because it crystallizes our anxiety about our own mortality. Nothing like a cinematic reminder that death is creeping closer to all of us, day by day. As an added kick to the teeth, the Big Bad of the movie is an evil computer, emphasizing how AI may very well be the ultimate death of humanity. Ironically, though, modern technology has effectively made Logan’s Run a joke. Thanks to social media created by Zoomers and even Generation Alpha, Millennials have long felt shut out of a world driven almost exclusively by the whims and tastes of younger audiences.

Plus, trust me: it doesn’t take an evil AI to make us wish we were already dead!

No Country For Old Men

For longtime sci-fi fans, Logan’s Run will likely feel like a hodgepodge of genre concepts you may be familiar with from other media. The idea of voluntarily turning yourself in for extermination, for example, feels very similar to people flocking to the suicide booths in Soylent Green. This movie also has special agents assigned to hunt and kill those who run, a bit like Deckard hunting down replicants in Blade Runner. Of course, the idea of a computer with possible sinister motives running an entire society is present in multiple episodes of Star Trek: The Original Series. On paper, all of this makes Logan’s Run very accessible, even to newcomers.

With all that being said, I can’t help but feel like modern technology has rendered the message and vibe of Logan’s Run largely redundant. I’m not even talking about AI here, though it is notable that our entire economy is propped up by attempts to make tech bros’ collective attempt to make their own evil computer. No, I’m talking about how social media sites such as Twitter and YouTube have made Millennials and older groups feel a bit like the characters in Logan’s Run: essentially dead to anyone over 30.

Never Trust Anyone Over 30 (Because They’re Dead)

In Logan’s Run, separating (permanently, as it turns out) older people from younger people was handled by an artificial intelligence, and the whole thing was baked into their bizarre culture. In the real world, no evil AIs are forcing people to unalive themselves when they turn 30 (at least, not yet). Nonetheless, older groups like Millennials still perceive a vast gulf between their culture and, say, Zoomer culture. Technology plays a major role in this because it destroyed something that older groups once considered indestructible: the monoculture.

Millennials and older demographics mostly grew up watching the same popular movies and breakout TV shows. They read the same newspapers and magazines that were popular nationwide, and they read the same great works of literature. The effect of this was what is now known as the monoculture: when almost everyone read and watched the same stuff, we all had the same cultural touchstones. If a movie had a funny line or two, they became part of our collective vernacular. We knew all the stars, all the quotes, all the pop culture moments. Like those in Logan’s Run, we had a shared culture that we all knew and understood.

A Shocking New Technology

But the internet, originally intended to unify the world, ended up tearing everything apart. Anyone with a camera could become famous, which led to the rise of influencers and micro-celebrities whose content was available at the press of a button. The monoculture was gone, quietly replaced by a series of niche cultures that are confusing and downright impenetrable to anyone outside of them. This leads, inevitably, to cultural isolation: how the heck is a Millennial raised by a television supposed to understand stuff like the looksmaxxing movement, which advocates hammers to the face as a way of achieving beauty?

One thing the fancy computer in Logan’s Run couldn’t predict was that real-world technology would create a faster, more disposable culture. Young people don’t get funny lines from movies or TV shows anymore; they get them from platforms like TikTok and YouTube, and this ephemeral slang disappears as quickly as it appears, replaced by something from the next viral vid. This is why Millennials and Gen X feel like they’re going insane trying to understand Zoomers: by the time you do figure out goofy words like “rizz” or “delulu,” these youngsters have already moved on, and they will point and laugh when you try to insert “gyatt” into the conversation.

In The Digital Age, You’re Already Dead

Obviously, language is used as a cultural signifier, and shared slang is a way of indicating you are part of the group. Hyper-online youngsters keep up with changing slang by constantly watching new videos from their favorite content creators. By the time someone as old as me tries to use outdated terms, it’s abundantly clear I am not part of the in-group. Without understanding something as foundational as the language being used, it becomes subsequently impossible for Millennials and older groups to understand the layered irony and deliberate brain rot embedded in the most popular Zoomer and Generation Alpha memes.

How does this all tie back to Logan’s Run? In that fictional world, technology simplified things by splitting society into two groups: an in-group of living young people and an out-group of 30-year-old corpses. The film is meant to dramatize anxieties about getting older and feeling out of touch and irrelevant over time. But in the real world, algorithms have split people into countless groups whose passions, humor, and even language are inscrutable to audiences born before the World Wide Web. We don’t have to be hunted and killed like in Logan’s Run; instead, Millennials, Gen X, and Boomers just slowly become quietly irrelevant, as if we were never born at all.

Is that bleak and depressing? You bet! But it could be worse: you could be getting actively hunted and murdered because the glowing crystal in your hand told everyone you had entered your dirty thirties. Carousel doesn’t exist in the real world, but you can experience the next best thing by streaming Logan’s Run for free on Tubi. By watching this classic film, you can be reborn as someone who enjoys all of the grace and understanding that comes with age. If that doesn’t work, don’t look to me for a pep talk: as a Millennial and a teacher, I’ve been waiting for young people to rise up and kill me for a long, long time!

Young and the Restless 2-Week Spoilers May 18-29: Phyllis Scrambles Desperately & Victor Steps In!

Published

on

Young and the Restless Spoilers: Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) - Victor Newman (Eric Braeden)

Young and the Restless 2-Week Spoilers for May 18-29, 2026 stun as Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is scrambling when she loses track of her leverage. Plus, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) got to intervene when a family member goes rogue and may betray them all.

We’re gonna get into what is happening with amnesiac Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) and Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) going MIA while bad girl Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) is a growing problem for several people in Genoa City. Now, let’s get into it.

Young and the Restless Spoilers Monday, May 18th – Patty Meets with Matt

Monday, May 18th, we’ve got Patty meeting with Matt. He called her up. They got together and he’s wondering why everybody hates him. And Patty says everybody hates her too. And she says that what Phyllis said about her is mostly true. But she has gotten help and has changed. Matt wants redemption and he does some bonding with Patty and she really hopes he gets his memories back. But Patty also warns Matt that Phyllis was married to Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and is likely setting Matt up. But Patty also assures Matt that she will take care of him.

Meanwhile, Nick tells Phyllis that he wants to see Matt before they make this deal. But Phyllis says no, not until the charges against her are dropped. Plus, she even doubts that Nick can get the charges dropped. Phyllis says once it’s officially confirmed, though, she will hand Matt over to him.

Y&R Spoilers: Christine Sees through Nick

Nick calls Christine Blair Romalotti (Lauralee Bell) and leaves to go see her, and Phyllis goes on a desperate scavenger hunt trying to find Matt. And instead, she runs into Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) who chews her out for holding Matt. Sharon says that Matt’s dangerous and Phyllis knows his history. And Sharon talks about how it’s a violation of their friendship to hide him. And then she warns Phyllis that Matt is dangerous and could hurt her. But Phyllis says he’s harmless because he’s got amnesia. She also says Victor doesn’t deserve to get Newman Enterprises back.

Nick tells Christine he wants to drop the charges against Phyllis. And Christine is doubtful because this is coming from him and not Victor. Nick tells her, “Look, just go after Cane, go after Matt. But it’s better for the Newmans if Phyllis goes free.” And Christine wants to know why it’s better. Then she assumes that Phyllis actually has Matt. And Christine is shocked that Nick would fall for Phyllis’ scheme. But come on, he’s sweaty. He’s drug addled. And even when he’s not high, we all know Nick’s a hothead who acts without thinking.

Young and the Restless Spoilers: Adam & Victor Worry about Nick

Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) tells Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) he’s worried Nick will bargain with Phyllis and they won’t get Newman Enterprises back. And Chelsea actually agrees with Nick and thinks that shutting down Matt is more important than Newman. But Adam says Phyllis cannot be allowed to keep their company. Adam thinks Nick is out of control and using again and he really wants his brother in treatment. But Adam knows that Nick won’t agree to rehab until the Matt situation gets resolved.

Adam then goes to warn Victor about Nick spiraling again. And Adam thinks Nick’s going to make a side deal with Phyllis and they’ll get Matt. But not Newman. And Adam also says Nick’s back on the pills. Victor’s a little dubious. But then he decides to play it safe and he makes a call to Phyllis to make sure she doesn’t cut some deal with Nick.

Y&R Spoilers Tuesday, May 19th – Devon Sees Mariah

On Tuesday, May 19th, Patty helps Matt find his way around. I suspect Patty’s helping Matt avoid the Newmans and also Phyllis because Patty is with Matt in a GCAC hotel suite. I think it’s possibly hers. He’s down on the floor. Looks like there’s a sheet or something kind of wrapped around him.

So, I wonder if Patty snuck him back up into her room in a laundry cart to avoid Phyllis. Maybe the cops, maybe the Newmans. Daniel tries to make peace between Christine and Phyllis. But as long as Christine’s still prosecuting Phyllis, that seems like a long shot. Also, Daniel’s worried about his father, and Christine notices and asks why Daniel’s off. And he wants to know if Christine has heard from Danny because it looks like his dad might be MIA.

Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) visits Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) at the psychiatric clinic. And Devon and Mariah talk about forgiveness, but honestly, Devon doesn’t seem in the frame of mind to offer her any. Remember, Mariah wanted to confess and go to prison. But Christine and Sharon pushed her to take the plea bargain.

And since then, Devon has been on fire. So, he hands Mariah an envelope, says it’s for her. I suspect it’s some sort of payoff from Devon for her to not come back to Genoa City after she’s released from the psych clinic. He doesn’t want her anywhere near Dominic Winters (Ethan Ray Clark) ever again. So, will Mariah take Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) and little Aria and the money and move away?

Young and the Restless Spoilers Wednesday, May 20th – Victoria Worries about Nick & Sally Worries about Billy

Wednesday, May 20th, is the last day of May sweeps, and we’ve got Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) blasting Nick about his recovery or lack of recovery since it’s obvious he’s strung out, relapsed, and acting erratically. Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) is worried that Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) past is going to haunt them on Young and the Restless.

And I think Sally’s worried Billy will wind up going to prison because of the whole Newman Media thing and then he won’t be there with Sally and their child. Also this week, Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) is recovering from donating bone marrow to Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore) and Billy stops by the Cane train wanting to talk to him. So this may be about Billy not being arrested yet and he may ask Cane for more info and if there’s another shoe to drop.

This week, Phyllis tells Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) he’s fired and he jokes that Phyllis is firing him yet again. But she tells Michael his services are no longer needed and he wants to know what Phyllis is plotting. Meanwhile, Victor demands that Michael hit back against an enemy. And if he goes and tells Victor that Phyllis fired him, then Victor might demand that Michael start attacking Phyllis.

Young & Restless Spoilers for Thursday, May 21st – Malcolm’s Surgery is a Success

Now, Thursday, May 21st, we’ve got Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) arriving in New York and meeting up with Holden Novak (Nathan Owens). Stephanie’s already there, too. Of course, Lily can’t wait to see Malcolm. But honestly, I’m worried we’re not going to get to see Shemar Moore. There is no official word when he has more scenes. So, this might happen offscreen and that would be insane because this week we’ve got Lily, Stephanie, and Holden toasting with champagne. Looks like they’re celebrating a successful outcome to Malcolm’s transplant surgery. But if we don’t get to see him and this all happens and they just talk about it, that’s just, you know…

Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) changes his mind about Patty on Thursday. So, you know, Jack got that good info from Patty about Victor, and he was planning to use her to destroy Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victor’s marriage once and for all. But Jack may be about to pivot. And Kyle Abbott asks his dad, Jack, if he’s still planning to use Patty to go after Victor. If you remember, Kyle wanted to be the one to target Victor himself. Victor and Nikki put their animosity aside temporarily to be there for Nick, and I’m hoping we’re going to see an all hands on deck intervention for their son.

Y&R Spoilers Friday, May 22nd – Jack Messes Up Big Time

Friday, May 22nd, Jack makes a real bad decision, maybe about Patty, and he may lose Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) for good, just as she was ready to talk about reconciling with Jack. Meanwhile, Nikki won’t budge. This may be Victor trying to pressure her on something, or it could be Nick trying to talk Nikki out of making him go to rehab. Holden and Claire Grace Newman‘s (Hayley Erin) trip goes in an unexpected direction while they’re in New York. And of course, she’s still waiting to hear the big truth bomb about Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver).

Week of May 25th-29th on Young and the Restless

Then we get into the week of May 25th through the 29th and Jack is facing fallout from his choices. So, I wonder if Diane will decide there is no hope for their marriage because of what he’s done again after the whole yacht thing. Nick really needs help. But I expect him to be stubborn and refuse to get that help until Matt is locked up or dead. Holden and Claire get much closer. Patty is a problem for Phyllis and Jack and may soon be a much bigger problem for Victor and the Newmans.

People may start to see Cane differently after his sacrifice and Lily may reconsider whether there’s hope for a future between her and Cane. Matt’s memory could return at any moment which means he’s a ticking time bomb of violence. And will Victor and Phyllis remain at an impasse over Newman Enterprises and she keeps Matt hidden or you know the question is will she even be able to get her hands back on him? The good news is since Patty has Matt at least in week one then Christine can go search Phyllis’ room and the spare room she rented and she’s not going to find a darn thing.

Beyond the Gates Weekly Spoilers May 18-22: Samantha Panics, Joey Plots & Major Death Rocks Town!

Beyond the Gates Spoilers: Samantha Richardson (Najah Jackson) - Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom)

Beyond the Gates spoilers for May 18-22, 2026 will see Samantha Richardson (Najah Jackson) in an absolute panic when her escort doesn’t show up for Cotillion. Plus, it looks like Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom) has to make a drastic move when the red ring runs out of time and somebody dies in a hail of bullet fire in the week ahead. So, lets get into these BTG spoilers for the week of May 18th. Let’s dive in.

Beyond the Gates Spoilers Monday, May 18th:

Monday, May 18th, is season 2, episode 90, and Jacob Hawthorne (Jibre Hordges) has to go see Ren Tolliver (Donny Carrington) after getting the call about the big warehouse meeting where the higher-ups, the big bosses are supposed to be there. Jacob and Bradley ‘Smitty’ Smith (Mike Manning) are, of course, wondering if Dr. Lia Whitmore (Cecelia Specht) is the top dog or just the second in command. It looks like Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom) may actually be the impaler, but we’ll see if there’s somebody else in the mix.

Derek Hamilton (Brandon Claybon) catches Grayson Perez (Jordie Vilasuso) in that room with the locked cabinet. And remember, Grayson tricked Eva Thomas Richardson (Ambyr Michelle) into exposing the code to him. So, it looks like he got in there. Grayson is trying to get around Derek and leave. And tells him, “You have to get out of my way.” But he says, “Grayson’s not going anywhere.” I suspect Derek may tell Grayson, “Get out and don’t come back.” He’s worried about getting to that warehouse thing and doing what Dr. Whitmore says.

BTG Spoilers: Grayson Prepares for the Worst

So, there may be a scuffle and that could be why Dr. Whitmore has Derek in her crosshairs on Monday. Dr. Whitmore already went behind Derek’s back to Dana “Leslie ” Thomas (Trisha Mann-Grant) to get Grayson into the clinic, but Derek has final say, and he may push back hard on Dr. Whitmore, which could put him in danger because, let’s face it, she’s a snake.

Ashley Morgan (Jen Jacob) freaks out when Grayson comes to her and he’s all doom and gloom. He gives Ashley a binder of info and Grayson says he had to get this into her hands in case something happens to him. So maybe he’s giving Ashley his mom’s medical info, his will, his life insurance info.

I’m sure Grayson’s hoping that Ashley will take care of Grayson’s affairs and help his mom if he winds up dead. Ashley says that Grayson is scaring her and asks what the hell is going on. I wonder if he’ll tell her everything about the plasma ring, thinking he’s dead anyway so that she can protect herself.

Beyond the Gates Spoilers: Cotillion Fast Approaching

The Dupree ladies get ready for Samantha’s Cotillion together. They’re over at Nicole Dupree Richardson‘s (Daphnee Duplaix) place and we’ve got Chelsea and Kat Richardson (Colby Muhammad) and Danny Carter (Lauren Buglioli) , Samantha and Jessica Harris Camryn Jade) as well. Danny toasts to their big night and Nicole teases Danny about refusing to be a debutante back in the day. We’ve got Eva there doing hair for Samantha and June (Jasmine Burke).

Looks like Jessica too. And of course, Kat is catty to Eva Thomas (Ambyr Michelle) as usual, but Nicole ignores her daughter and is very welcoming to Eva. Kat as a past debutante talks to Samantha and Jessica about nerves and says it’s all normal. Chelsea who was also a past debutante says to remember that you own the room. It does not own you.

Jessica is very touched to be included with the family as they all get together. And Nicole says getting ready is half the fun. Eva munches snacks watching because she’s got no skin in the game. She’s just there to do hair. We’ve also got Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durrett) questioning little rotten Hayley Lawson (Marquita Goings) about her past. And I wonder if Bill is finally going to get wise. I mean, lord, let’s hope so. I can’t wait to see her get busted.

Beyond the Gates Spoilers Tuesday, May 19th: Dr. Whitmore Freaks Out

Tuesday, May 19th, is season 2, episode 91 of Beyond the Gates. And Grayson gets the job done, and he may feel safe from Dr. Lia Whitmore’s (Cecilia Specht) wrath. But at the warehouse, things are about to go sideways. First of all, Dr. Whitmore sees a guy in a hat and a hoodie and demands they show their face and take off the hat. When she sees Jacob’s face, Dr. Whitmore freaks. She knows exactly who he is, the police chief’s son. Jacob’s in the warehouse with Whitmore. We got to presume that Ren is there and Grayson as well. And lurking outside, of course, is Elon Hawthorne (Malachi Malik). And he’s got a whole team ready to rush in and raid the warehouse.

So, the cops are there to take down the red market ring once they know the big bosses are there as Jacob promised they would be. Gunfire breaks out. Elon yells out, “Shots fired.” The cops all rush in, but somebody is shot. Maybe more than one person, but definitely one front burner character takes a bullet.

Beyond the Gates Spoilers: Someone Doesn’t Make it

And we do know somebody dies. Meanwhile, over at Cotillion, Vanessa McBride (Lauren Buglioli) panics as she joins Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon), Smitty, and June and says Donnell McBride‘s (Alex Cheeks) phone is going straight to voicemail. And Deanna McBride (Angela Fairley) is not answering either. So, I wonder if her wonder twins are out stalking Joey or something. Randy Parker (Maurice P. Kerry) has more scenes this week, too, and he may be part of this red ring mess.

At Cotillion, Nicole rushes to deal with a crisis and it may be about her granddaughter because Samantha’s freaking out to Tyrell Richardson (Jaden Lucas Miller) and Jessica and says everything is starting and Donnell isn’t there and he’s her escort. So, Chessy is smirking nearby and if he doesn’t make it, maybe Martin will step up and escort his daughter since he’s been there, done that before. Jessica and Samantha make their debut. Nicole and Dani Dupree introduced the Debs and their escorts. Nicole is in lavender and Danny’s in teal at the Cotillion looking happy and proud. Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie) has this really cool pale pink dress. All the dresses look fantastic.

BTG Spoilers for Wednesday, May 20th

Wednesday, May 20th on Beyond the Gates is season 2 episode 92, which is the last day of sweeps and we’re going to get explosive violence and tragedy over at the messy warehouse raid. Somebody’s going to die. My suspicion is it’s Grayson because I doubt they’re going to kill off Jacob and Grayson’s been dancing with death for a while, but they could kill off someone minor like Ren.

I’d be happy to see villainous Dr. Lia Whitmore shot down. Maybe Derek is hurt if he follows Grayson over there. The platinum Deb of the Cotillion is crowned and my vote is anybody but horrible Chessy. I so want to see the look on Anastasia Belleclaire‘s (Timeca Seretti) face if somebody else wins, but especially if it’s Samantha who takes the tiara because Anastasia might have an aneurysm.

Meanwhile, Tyrell and Jessica make a sneaky exit so they can go make love for the first time. Later, Vanessa has a whole lot of questions for Joey, and I wonder if it’s about the recent police activity. She may be asking if it’s tied into some of his criminality. Also, does Vanessa wonder if Joey’s the reason Donnell was MIA?

Beyond the Gates Spoilers: Samantha Richardson – Joey Armstrong

Thursday, May 21st on Beyond the Dates

Thursday, May 21st is season 2, episode 93 of Beyond the Gates. And we have Kat, Tomas Navarro (Alex Alegria), and Bill getting together. I’m assuming this is about Lynette Wise (Dominique Madison) and her connection to Dr. Lia Whitmore. And I wonder if there’s any more signs that Hayley was linked to Lynette. Ashley and Naomi Hamilton Hawthorne (Arielle Prepetit) are absolutely stunned. I doubt Jacob was shot, but Grayson or Derek seems very likely based on the spoilers for this week.

Donnell grills Vanessa and this may be about Joey. Will Donnell find out his mom Vanessa is breaking the law and operating in a gray area with Joey? Marcel Malone (Darryl W. Handy) grills someone they arrested. Maybe Ren or Grayson or his old friend Dr. Lia Whitmore.

If you remember, Marcel told Elon he’s sure that Dr. Lia Whitmore turned off the cameras at the hospital. Meanwhile, Elon has some things to say to Joey, including making some demands. Is Elon gonna just let Dr. Lia Whitmore go down for the red ring and let Joey off the hook if he stops the DMV operation, assuming he is the actual impaler?

Friday, May 22nd on BTG: There’s a Shocking Reunion

Friday, May 22nd on Beyond the Gates is season 2, episode 94. Ted Richardson (Keith D. Robinson), Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis), and Anita have to do damage control. This may be about Cotillion or this red market mess, something to do with Joey. One of the McBrides, so that’s Vanessa, Deanna, or Donnell has a shocking reunion.

And I wonder if this is Samantha facing off with her no-show escort, but it could be Deanna because, as we know, she loves to stir the pot. Andre Richardson (Sean Freeman) and Dani are there to comfort and console somebody they care about. Sounds like it could be Ashley because Nicole is asked to reach out to a distraught coworker. So, this may be about the death. Sure seems like it’ll be one of the guys that Ashley is involved with who meets their maker. Plus, Donnell has some harsh things to say to Joey as Deanna is on the receiving end of some advice from Kat.

12 Years Later, One of the Greatest Action Thriller Franchises Is a Streaming Hit

Published

on

Robert McCall (Denzel Washington) pulls a gun in 'The Equalizer' (2014)

John Wick has been the biggest breakout action franchise over the last decade or so, but it wasn’t the only hard-hitting, wildly successful action series to kick off in 2014. That same year that brought John Wick to the big screen also saw Training Day director Antoine Fuqua reunite with Oscar-winner Denzel Washington for an adaptation of popular 1980s TV series The Equalizer. Not only was the film popular with action fans, but it also managed to make a big enough splash at the box office that the director and star have returned for two more installments in the years since.

First released 12 years ago, The Equalizer made more than $192 million at the box office, working on a very modest budget. Four years later, Fuqua and Washington came back with The Equalizer 2, following that with The Equalizer 3 in 2023. Surprisingly, both sequels also topped the $190 million mark at the box office, proving that the franchise is one of the steadiest around. That success has translated well to the world of streaming, even after more than a decade since the first film’s release, as Prime Video users are giving The Equalizer another round in the spotlight.

The first two Equalizer movies were recently added to the Prime Video streaming lineup, and they continue to show just how strong the legs of this franchise actually are. The franchise was all together on Netflix at one point recently and occupied multiple spots on the streamer’s Top 10 Movies list. Now, two of the three films are on Prime Video, and are once again striking a chord with streaming audiences.

As of Monday afternoon, The Equalizer and The Equalizer 2 are ranked amongst the most popular movie titles streaming on Prime Video. The first Equalizer movie is currently the fourth-most popular film on the service in the United States, trailing only Regretting You, Despicable Me 4, and Bang. The Equalizer 2 is following right on the heels of its predecessor, coming in at fifth on Prime Video’s current movie rankings.

Unfortunately, you won’t see The Equalizer 3 appearing on Prime Video’s charts any time soon, because the third installment of the series isn’t on the same streaming service as the first two films. The Equalizer 3 is currently streaming exclusively on Hulu, separate from the rest of the trilogy.

‘The Equalizer’s Insane Supporting Casts

Denzel Washington is one of the best to ever do it, and his presence alone is more than enough to sell somebody on The Equalizer. However, part of what really cements the legacy of this film series is how packed the supporting casts have been. Some massively popular names have taken part in this franchise — and Washington has brought out the best in them.

For example, the first Equalizer has Stranger Things star David Harbour in one of the main roles, delivering an unforgettable performance just two years before he would become a household name as Sheriff Jim Hopper. The Equalizer 2 sees none other than Pedro Pascal join the fray, reminding fans that he can do a whole lot more than just play the hero. The franchise cast also includes Melissa Leo, Bill Pullman, Chloë Grace Moretz, David Denman, and Marton Csokas. The Equalizer 3 brings Dakota Fanning in for a major role, reuniting her with Washington nearly two decades after they starred in Tony Scott‘s Man on Fire.

The Equalizer is a hard-hitting action franchise that is already starting to age like fine wine. Denzel Washington spends three brutal action films reminding everybody that his prime never really ended, and Fuqua surrounds him with supporting stars that only make him shine brighter.

Daycare Worker Allegedly Beat Infant Because Personal Issues

Published

on

A daycare employee in Florida was arrested after she was accused of violently assaulting an infant in her care after having personal issues that were exacerbated by a text message.

The Bay County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook statement that officers reported to HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital in Panama City on Wednesday, May 13, after medical staff reported that a 3-month-old child was brought in with a fractured skull, fractured leg, fractured ribs and a brain bleed.

An investigation was launched into the matter, which revealed that the infant allegedly sustained the injuries while at a daycare earlier that day. It was eventually determined that the child was under the supervision of employee LaKayla E. Hamilton at the time of the alleged assault.

Police said that Hamilton initially “denied any knowledge of how the child was injured,” though she later admitted to assaulting the infant and said she repeatedly slammed him into a crib.

Authorities in Texas have arrested a 23-year-old day care worker on child endangerment charges after they allege she was caught on surveillance video dragging and then throwing a little boy. “Hamilton confessed that after arriving at work already upset by personal issues and receiving an additional text message that intensified her anger, she directed that rage toward the infant,” according to the police department’s statement.

Hamilton admitted to slamming the child into both a crib and a changing table several times, and she also said she squeezed him, shook him and struck him in the head with toys “in attempts to stop him from crying.”

Additionally, Hamilton allegedly said she abused the infant “again in the same manner” during a second incident on that same day.

“She was unable to provide an exact number of times she assaulted the child due to the level of rage she described experiencing,” the department said.

Investigators said that the child sustained “catastrophic injuries” that could have led to his death if it were not for “the swift action of the child’s parents in seeking immediate medical treatment.”

Chris Abbott Breaks Silence on Aubrey Plaza's Pregnancy With 1st Baby

Chris Abbott spoke out for the first time about expecting his first child with Aubrey Plaza.

“Can we say congratulations?” Jenna Bush Hager asked Abbott, 40, on the Monday, May 18, episode of Today With Jenna and Sheinelle. “You’re expecting a babe.”

Abbott joked, “I thought for my Tony nom! No, no, I’m kidding.”

Bush Hager, 44, noted that Abbott has “a lot going on” at the moment. (Abbott received a 2026 Tony Award nomination in the Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Play category for his role as Biff in Death of a Salesman.)

Abbott noted that there’s “too much going on” in his life.

“We love Aubrey here,” Bush Hager continued. “We’re so happy for the both of you.”

Abbott responded, “That’s very nice. Thank you very much. It’s very exciting.”

Plaza’s rep confirmed to People last month that she and Abbott are expecting their first baby together. A source told the publication that the actress’ pregnancy was “a beautiful surprise” and the couple are “very blessed” to become first-time parents this fall.

Plaza and Abbott worked together in the 2020 thriller Black Bear and 2023 Off-Broadway revival of Danny and the Deep Blue Sea before things turned romantic between them. Instagram gossip account DeuxMoi reported in July 2025 that Plaza and Abbott were together after they were spotted at The Chatham Berry Farm just outside of New York City. They attended a New York Knicks game together later that same year.

Prior to their relationship, Plaza was married to the late Jeff Baena. Plaza had been separated from Baena for four months prior to his death by suicide at age 47 in January 2025.

“This is an unimaginable tragedy,” Plaza’s rep told Us Weekly in a statement after Baena’s death. “We are deeply grateful to everyone who has offered support. Please respect our privacy during this time.”

Plaza discussed his death for the first time during an August 2025 appearance on Amy Poehler‘s “Good Hang” podcast.

“To get it out of the way, people wanna see you and see how you are,” Poehler said at the time. “They love you, and they wanna see you. You had this terrible, terrible, tragic year. You lost your husband. You’ve been dealing with that, and you’ve been looking for all different ways in which to feel and find support.”

She added, “On behalf of all of the people who feel like they know you, and the people who do know you, how are you feeling today?”

Plaza said she was “happy” to be with Poehler at the time before getting into a discussion about her grief.

“Overall, I’m here, and I’m functioning, and I feel grateful to be moving through the world,” Plaza. “I think, like, I’m OK, but it’s a daily struggle, obviously.”

So, without further ado, here’s a list of three shows you should binge-watch on Netflix.

You are a Dutton — or you might as well be. You understand that some things are worth protecting at any cost, and that the modern world’s indifference to history, to land, to legacy, is not something you’re willing to accept quietly. You lead from the front, you carry your family’s weight without complaint, and when someone threatens what’s yours, you don’t escalate — you finish it. You’re not cruel. But you are absolute. In Yellowstone’s world, that combination of ferocity and loyalty doesn’t make you a villain. It makes you the only thing standing between everything that matters and everyone who wants to take it.

You thrive in the chaos of high-stakes negotiation, where the money is enormous, the margins are thin, and the wrong word in the wrong room can cost everyone everything. You’re a fixer — the person called when a situation is already on fire and needs someone with the nerve to walk into it. West Texas oil country rewards exactly what you are: sharp, adaptable, unsentimental, and absolutely clear-eyed about what people want and what they’ll do to get it. You’re not naive enough to think this world is fair. You’re smart enough to be the one deciding who it’s fair to.

You are a Dwight Manfredi — someone who has served their time, paid their dues, and arrived somewhere unexpected with nothing but their reputation and their wits. You adapt without losing yourself. You build loyalty through respect rather than fear, though you’re not above reminding people that the two aren’t mutually exclusive. Tulsa King is for people who are still standing when everyone assumed they’d be finished — who find, in an unfamiliar place, that they’re more capable than the world gave them credit for. You don’t need a throne. You build one, wherever you happen to land.

You carry the weight of a system that is broken by design, and you do it anyway — because someone has to, and because you’re the only one positioned to do it without the whole thing collapsing. Mike McLusky’s world is for people who are comfortable operating where there are no good options, only less catastrophic ones. You speak every language: law enforcement, criminal, political, human. That fluency makes you invaluable and it makes you a target. You’ve made your peace with both. Mayor of Kingstown belongs to people who understand that keeping the peace is not the same as being at peace — and who do the job regardless.

‘Everyone Is Doing Great’ (2021–Present)

Rotten Tomatoes: 80% | IMDb: 7.0/10

The road to release for the second season of this former web series has been quite the rollercoaster. Created by One Tree Hill alums James Lafferty and Stephen Colletti, Everyone Is Doing Great was once a gem in the Hulu catalog, with an acclaimed first season ready to be followed by an exciting second. Alas, Hulu pulled the plug, with Netflix finally swooping in and saving the day, as the unseen second season finally made its streaming debut earlier this month.

The series follows Lafferty’s Jeremy and Colletti’s Seth, five years after a successful run on the television vampire drama, Eternals. However, their fame is starting to fade, with the allure of the spotlight becoming all too painful. Leaning on each other for support, the pair tries to reclaim their glory. A smart, darkly comic series that deserves much more attention than it gets, discover a true gem this week in Everyone Is Doing Great.

‘The WONDERfools’ (2026)

Rotten Tomatoes: 97% | IMDb: 7.9/10

Another new addition to the Netflix catalog, and one of the most exciting non-English language arrivals this month, is The WONDERfools, a South Korean superhero comedy created by Kang Eun-kyung. The series follows a ragtag bunch who accidentally stumble into superhuman abilities. When a rising evil threatens the safety of the world, it is up to these misfits to pull together and somehow save the day.

A neat new take on the tired superhero genre, The WONDERfools is a breath of fresh air, especially in a streaming world dominated by The Boys. Packed with great music, slick editing, and a dose of late ’90s nostalgia, this new arrival boasts more than enough quality to become your next obsession. Whether you’re a fan of non-English language series or not, this is well worth your time.
