How we test jewellery advent calendars
I asked The Telegraph jewellery editor, Sarah Royce-Greensill for her advice on what to look for when choosing a jewellery advent calendar. “Firstly, make sure that the brand is one whose designs you are familiar with and you know you’ll get regular wear from.”
While it’s easy to get swept up in fancy packaging and shiny metals, value for money was the biggest factor for me. I considered how much it would cost to buy each piece individually and compared it to the overall cost of the calendar.
I also assessed the variety of the contents and wearability, paying extra attention to calendars that offered a wide-range of accessories and how they would hold up with daily wear.
Finally, I factored in nice extra touches such as personalisation options, including sizing, additional offerings (such as gift cards) and reusable packaging.
