Cancelled ‘Stargate’ Reboot Plot Details Revealed
Prime Video’s most recent high-profile cancellation keeps making headlines, with many fans reacting strongly, and it’s easy to see why. Just days ago, reports emerged that the reboot of one of the most respected sci-fi franchises of all time had been scrapped only a few months after receiving a series order, bringing the project to an abrupt end before production could fully get underway. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Amazon has pulled the plug on a major project early in its development, and it likely won’t be the last.
After receiving a series order from Prime Video in November 2025, the highly anticipated Stargate reboot from franchise veteran Martin Gero, who wrote for all three prior live-action series in the franchise, was canceled this month. Reports indicate that the project had already completed a 20-week writers’ room and entered pre-production in the UK before being scrapped.
With this latest Stargate reboot cancellation, concerns are once again being raised about Amazon/Prime Video’s willingness to commit to ambitious projects, particularly those requiring significant long-term investment. Among those weighing in on the decision is longtime Stargate executive producer Joseph Mallozzi, who took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a direct response to the news.
While Mallozzi confirmed the unfortunate news, he also elaborated on the significance of the Stargate reboot, which Gero had been developing for more than two years. According to Mallozzi, the series would have provided “a fresh jumping-on point for new viewers while deeply respecting existing canon by fully embracing the core of its predecessors: action, adventure, exploration, wonder, heart, humor, and found family.” The EP also took the opportunity to acknowledge the efforts of everyone involved in the project, including Gero, “the incredibly talented writers,” and the long-suffering Stargate fandom, who never gave up on the franchise.
Can ‘Stargate’ Still Be Revived Elsewhere?
Stargate was one of the first major MGM titles targeted for adaptation after Amazon’s $8.5 billion acquisition of the studio in 2022. However, the reboot was ultimately canceled because it reportedly no longer aligned with the company’s programming strategy. This decision was particularly surprising given that the series had been greenlit by Amazon MGM Studios’ Head of Television, Peter Friedlander, shortly after he joined the company last October. However, the project ultimately fell under Brett Fetter, Head of Worldbuilding & Genre Series, who only joined Amazon in February 2026.
For fans hoping another streamer might rescue the project, Mallozzi offered little optimism, noting that Amazon owns the rights. Reflecting on what could have been, he lamented:
“We’ll never get the opportunity to introduce you to that world and those characters — or reintroduce you to, and check in with, some familiar faces from the past.”
Stay tuned to Collider for further updates about the Stargate franchise, and check out Mallozzi’s X post below.

Joe Taslim Confirms Conversations About a Sub-Zero Spinoff Following Mortal Kombat II : Coastal House Media
With Amazon MGM betting big on both Voltron and Masters of the Universe, the success of these long-dormant franchises could open the door for even more beloved properties from the 1980s and beyond to make the jump back to live action.
If audiences embrace Henry Cavill’s Voltron and Nicholas Galitzine’s turn as He-Man, Hollywood may finally have proof that there is still demand for large-scale adaptations of classic animated franchises.
Here are three projects that could benefit the most.
ThunderCats
Of all the dormant franchises waiting in the wings, ThunderCats may be the closest to becoming a reality.
Director Adam Wingard, known for Godzilla vs. Kong and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, remains attached to the project and has repeatedly reassured fans that development is still ongoing. Wingard previously revealed that he and collaborator Simon Barrett were actively working on the screenplay, stating:
“Simon and I are still actively working on the script.”
Wingard has also made it clear that he wants to stay true to the iconic designs fans remember from the original animated series. In an earlier interview, he explained:
“I don’t want to reinvent the way they look.”
With its rich mythology, fantasy setting, and memorable characters like Lion-O, Mumm-Ra, and Panthro, ThunderCatsfeels like a natural next step if audiences prove they are hungry for large-scale fantasy adventures again.
ThunderCats
Akira
Few projects have spent more time in development hell than a live-action adaptation of Akira.
The legendary cyberpunk manga and anime has been the subject of Hollywood interest for more than two decades. Most recently, Taika Waititi was attached to direct a live-action version, but the project never moved forward. In 2025, Warner Bros. allowed the rights to lapse, returning them to publisher Kodansha and effectively resetting the project.
The good news for fans is that the story may finally have a new path forward. Reports indicate that multiple producers and studios have expressed interest in acquiring the rights and developing a fresh adaptation.
Set in the futuristic city of Neo-Tokyo, Akira follows biker gang leader Kaneda and his friend Tetsuo after a mysterious government experiment unlocks devastating psychic abilities. The original film remains one of the most influential science fiction stories ever created and could become a major event film if the right creative team finally cracks the code.
Akira
She-Ra
While He-Man is preparing for his big-screen return, his twin sister may not be far behind.
Amazon MGM is actively developing a live-action She-Ra series and recently brought acclaimed writer Heidi Schreckaboard to write the project.
Interest in the character has only grown following the success of Netflix’s animated She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, and the timing could be perfect if Masters of the Universe connects with audiences.
In fact, Masters of the Universe director Travis Knight recently hinted that She-Ra could become a major part of the franchise’s future, saying she would play:
“a huge part” in potential sequels.
For those unfamiliar with the mythology, She-Ra, also known as Princess Adora, is the long-lost twin sister of Prince Adam. Her adventures on the world of Etheria have often been just as beloved as He-Man’s battles on Eternia.
She-Ra
The Bottom Line
Hollywood has spent years trying to revive classic animated franchises, but many projects have struggled to get beyond the development stage. If Voltron and Masters of the Universe prove successful, that could finally change.
Whether it’s Adam Wingard’s long-awaited ThunderCats, a fresh take on Akira, or Amazon’s developing She-Ra series, the next wave of nostalgic franchise adaptations may already be waiting in the shadows.

10 Unhappiest Movie Endings
Most movies end happily, or at least satisfyingly; that’s what audiences typically crave, after all. Crowd-pleasers are a fan-favorite for a reason; who wants to see a bleak ending on the big screen, when we seemingly have enough of those in real life? The saying is “and they lived happily ever after” for a reason.
However, a minority of filmmakers are bold enough to close their stories on a dark note. Rather than consoling us, they force us to sit with grief, cruelty, failure, or the unbearable randomness of existence. With that in mind, this list looks at the films with the unhappiest endings of all time, from grim tales of addiction to heartbreaking portraits of war. Instead of catharsis, these movies deliver despair. Instead of triumph, they offer futility.
10
‘American History X’ (1998)
“Has anything you’ve done made your life better?” American History X follows former neo-Nazi Derek Vinyard (Edward Norton) after he is released from prison and attempts to prevent his younger brother Danny (Edward Furlong) from following the same violent path he once did. Through flashbacks, the film explores how Derek was radicalized by grief, anger, and toxic influences, while the present-day storyline shows him slowly recognizing the destruction his beliefs caused.
The story raises our hopes at times, only to significantly dash them in the third act. By the time Derek tries to pull his brother away from extremism, the damage has already been done. Danny becomes a victim of Derek’s earlier failures as a brother and role model. The tragedy is that Derek finally learns the value of empathy at the exact moment it becomes too late to save the person he most wanted to protect.
9
‘Dancer in the Dark’ (2000)
“It’s only the last song if we let it be.” Dancer in the Dark is one of the heaviest and most beautiful movies by Lars von Trier. Icelandic singer Björk leads the cast as Selma, a Czech immigrant working exhausting factory jobs in rural America while secretly saving money for an operation that could prevent her son from inheriting the blindness slowly consuming her. At the same time, Selma escapes the misery of her life through elaborate musical fantasies.
The movie ends with the protagonist being hanged, having used her money on her son’s treatment rather than on her legal defense. It’s genuinely devastating, largely because the character is so pure and uncynical. Even up til the final moments, she believes that she and her child might both be saved, and so do we. It’s a gorgeous and heartbreaking performance, rightly winning Björk the Best Actress Award at Cannes.
8
‘Manchester by the Sea’ (2016)
“I can’t beat it.” The whole of Manchester by the Sea is cold and bleak, but intelligent writing and brilliant performances ensure that it’s never overwhelmingly bleak. For all its sadness, it’s a truly beautiful and insightful experience. Much of the credit for this must go to Casey Affleck, who delivers a phenomenal, Oscar-winning performance as Lee Chandler, a withdrawn janitor forced to return to his hometown after his brother’s death leaves him responsible for his teenage nephew Patrick (Lucas Hedges).
Most dramas eventually guide their characters toward catharsis, reconciliation, or personal transformation. The ending of Manchester by the Sea does something much harsher and more honest: it admits that some psychological wounds never fully heal. Lee does improve in small ways: he reconnects slightly with people, makes practical compromises, and continues existing. However, his core pain remains immovable.
7
‘Das Boot’ (1981)
“It’s like we’re just spectators at our own funeral.” Das Boot is one of the great war films, recreating combat in painstaking detail while also being totally frank about its tedium and psychological toll. It’s set aboard a German submarine in World War II, following through long stretches of boredom, fear, exhaustion, and sudden terror as they attempt to survive increasingly hopeless missions in the Atlantic. The movie’s claustrophobic atmosphere is extraordinary. The submarine becomes a floating coffin.
The final scenes are pretty darn brutal. After dodging seemingly certain death time after time, the men finally seem to have escaped the nightmare. Then, within minutes, fate casually destroys them anyway. This ending really hammers home the randomness and meaninglessness of war. We’ve gotten to know the characters, particularly Jürgen Prochnow‘s weary captain, so their deaths genuinely hurt.
6
‘Come and See’ (1985)
“Listen, Hitler wasn’t even born then.” This movie is a genuine endurance test. Come and See centers on Flyora (Aleksei Kravchenko), a Belarusian boy who joins Soviet partisans during World War II, only to witness the unimaginable horrors inflicted by Nazi occupation forces. His story begins with traces of patriotic fantasy, but those illusions are systematically destroyed as Flyora descends deeper into atrocity and madness.
It’s one of the most haunting performances by a child actor. Kravchenko visibly ages before our eyes, a brutal portrait of innocence lost. The war seems to have drained away his humanity. The closing scenes are especially brutal, including people being burned alive and surrendering Germans coldly executed by the Belarusian partisans. Flyora then shoots a portrait of Hitler, and the movie shows us a grim montage of clips from the Nazi leader’s life.
5
‘Threads’ (1984)
“They say when the wind blows…” Probably the most impactful post-apocalyptic movie ever made, Threads imagines the escalation of nuclear conflict between NATO and the Soviet Union. It follows several ordinary civilians in Sheffield, England, during and after the resulting nuclear strikes. The film depicts the catastrophe with terrifying procedural realism, really bringing home the madness and horror of the nuclear age.
The ending goes all in, showing us mass death and total civilizational collapse. Morality and language break down, and all hope is obliterated. Years pass, and the world does not recover: centuries of progress, permanently wiped out. In the closing moments, a baby is born and handed to its mother, but she can only look at it in horror, knowing that the child is entering a world of filth, poverty, radiation, violence, ignorance.
4
‘Grave of the Fireflies’ (1988)
“Why do fireflies have to die so soon?” This one is a truly heartbreaking film, the kind you don’t watch more than once. Grave of the Fireflies follows teenage boy Seita (Tsutomu Tatsumi) and his younger sister Setsuko (Ayano Shiraishi) as they struggle to survive in Japan during the final months of World War II after losing their mother in an air raid. At first, Seita believes he can protect Setsuko through sheer determination and resourcefulness. Reality, however, has other plans.
In the end, both children die. The movie then shows us a sequence of their spirits boarding a ghostly train and looking back on their experiences. In death, they are happy and healthy, a brutal contrast with the final days of their lives. In the film’s last moments, Seita and Setsuko are finally together again, freed from suffering, watching the modern city glow in the distance, surrounded by fireflies.
3
‘Se7en’ (1995)
“What’s in the box?” Se7en is a dark moral inquiry disguised as a procedural thriller. In it, detectives Somerset (Morgan Freeman) and Mills (Brad Pitt) hunt a serial killer (Kevin Spacey) orchestrating murders around the seven deadly sins. The investigation grows increasingly disturbing as the killer’s philosophy becomes clearer, turning the case into something larger than ordinary criminality. The finale is infamous. By provoking Mills into murdering him, Doe transforms the detective into the embodiment of the final deadly sin: wrath.
Pitt’s performance is central to why the ending hurts so much. Mills’ breakdown feels genuinely primal, shifting from confusion to disbelief to unbearable emotional collapse within moments, his voice straining with panic. The film then closes with Somerset quoting Hemingway, making a weary case for continuing to resist the dark, yet also acknowledging that the world might not actually be worth saving.
2
‘Requiem for a Dream’ (2000)
“I’m somebody now, Harry. Everybody likes me.” Few movies depict self-destruction with the sheer merciless intensity of Requiem for a Dream. Harry (Jared Leto) and Marion (Jennifer Connelly) dream of success and fulfilment, Tyrone (Marlon Wayans) hopes to escape past trauma, and Harry’s lonely mother Sara (Ellen Burstyn) seeks connection, but all are undone by addiction.
Aesthetics-wise, Darren Aronofsky uses rapid editing, split screens, distorted camerawork, and repetitive montage sequences to create the sensation of addiction consuming time and consciousness. The final montage crosscuts between the characters reaching the endpoint of their downward spirals simultaneously. Harry loses his arm. Tyrone is imprisoned and emotionally broken. Marion sacrifices her dignity. Sara undergoes electroshock therapy in a near-catatonic state. It’s genuinely harrowing stuff, and it lingers on the mind long after the credits have rolled.
1
‘The Mist’ (2007)
“As a species, we’re fundamentally insane.” After a mysterious mist engulfs a small town, a group of survivors becomes trapped inside a supermarket while horrifying creatures lurk outside. At first, it seems like a creature feature, but gradually you realize The Mist is really about the breakdown of social order under extreme stress. It culminates in that cruel sucker punch of an ending, a deviation from Stephen King‘s source material that hugely elevates the horror.
Believing hope is lost, the protagonist (Thomas Jane) mercy-kills the other characters, including his son (Nathan Gamble), only for the mist to suddenly clear and for soldiers to arrive, providing aid and protection. It was a challenging scene to perform and pull off, but Jane makes it truly disturbing. His scream is primal, almost animalistic, the sound of a mind breaking in real time under unbearable guilt.

Jersey Shore’s Angelina Cries Over Miscarriage Heartbreak
Jersey Shore: Family Vacation star Angelina Pivarnick broke down in tears as she opened up about her heartbreaking pregnancy loss.
In the Thursday, June 4, episode of the reality TV show, Angelina, 39, became emotional as she told her friend Dana Lasalla that she had suffered a miscarriage.
When Dana asked Angelina how her recent doctor’s appointment went amid her pregnancy journey, the Jersey Shore star replied, “It’s not good.”
“I woke up in the middle of night, 4 o’clock in the morning. I didn’t feel good at all. I was very dizzy,” Angelina shared in a confessional. “I went to the bathroom. I was bleeding. I was like, ‘What the …’”
Angelina explained that she then “went to the doctor’s” before trailing off and shaking her head and adding sadly, “Yeah.”
Dana tried to support Angelina as she became emotional and cried while struggling with her devastation over the loss.
“I can’t believe this happened. I feel so bad. No woman should ever have to go through this, it’s horrible,” Dana told her. Angelina agreed, sharing, “It kills me, dude.”

In a confessional, Angelina shared more details about why the loss came as such a brutal blow for her.
“I just really wanted a family so bad because I don’t have my own,” she said. “I can’t build a family with a family that’s broken. I have to build my own f***ing family.”
Wiping tears from her eyes, Angelina continued, “I wasn’t able to do that. So that’s what’s upsetting to me.” She concluded, “It just sucks, all this.”
Last month, a promotional clip teasing Thursday’s episode of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation revealed that Angelina has suffered a pregnancy loss.
“I woke up in the middle of the night,” she said in the short clip. “I’m actively miscarrying.”
Angelina revealed she was pregnant in the show’s May 14 episode, in which she was filmed showing Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola a positive test.
“There’s no way that it just happened naturally. There’s no sperm donor now,” a shocked Angelina said at the time, referencing her fertility struggles, which have been a story line throughout the season.
Angelina further opened up about her surprise and excitement in a confessional during the episode.
“I did not think I was able to get pregnant, but, wow, I’m … pregnant,” she said. “This could be a great thing. This could be my fairy tale, my path, my baby.”

Kevin Hart Says Roasting Oprah Is Like ‘Spray Painting’ Art
Kevin Hart knows exactly what it feels like to sit in the hot seat after becoming the target of a star-studded Netflix roast.
However, while the comedian is open to seeing more celebrities take part in the popular format, there is one entertainment icon he believes should never be subjected to the treatment.
During a recent late-night appearance, Hart shared his thoughts on celebrity roasts, reflected on the most shocking joke aimed at him, and explained why one beloved media mogul should remain completely off-limits.
Fresh off “The Roast of Kevin Hart,” the comedian stopped by “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and discussed which celebrities could potentially headline future roasts.
When asked who might be a good candidate, Kevin Hart pointed to NBA legend LeBron James because of his enormous cultural influence and public profile. However, the conversation quickly shifted when Jimmy Kimmel jokingly suggested another household name.
“What about Oprah? Would that be unacceptable?” Kimmel asked. Hart immediately rejected the idea and made it clear that he would actively try to stop it from happening.
“That’d be like spray painting the Sistine Chapel,” Hart said. The actor continued by explaining just how strongly he feels about the subject.
“If I found out that Oprah said she wanted to do it, I’m driving 100 miles per hour to Oprah’s house. You cannot do this. No shot,” Hart said.
For the “Jumanji” star, Oprah Winfrey occupies a unique place in entertainment, making her someone he believes should be protected from the roast format altogether.
Hart Reveals The Joke That Actually Caught Him Off Guard

Although Kevin Hart insisted that none of the jokes from his Netflix roast genuinely hurt his feelings, one moment did leave him stunned.
According to the comedian, longtime friend and frequent collaborator Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson delivered the surprise of the night.
“I think uh I think the the the one that caught me off guard [was from] Dwayne,” Hart admitted.
The joke involved a photo of the 46-year-old’s late father that appeared on giant screens inside the venue. The Rock compared a photo of his own father to a mugshot of Hart’s father, creating one of the evening’s biggest laughs.
Hart recalled the wrestler saying, “Look at my dad. Kev, we both love our dads.” The Rock then displayed a photo of his father after a workout before revealing the image of Hart’s father.
“It was the worst picture of my father I’ve ever seen. The worst picture of my father,” Hart said. While the moment surprised him, the Hollywood star acknowledged that he still found it hilarious. “It caught me off guard, but it was funny,” Hart said.
Kevin Hart Explains Why Celebrity Roasts Are Necessary

Beyond the jokes, Hart also spoke about the art of roasting and why he believes the format continues to work.
The “Ride Along”star praised comedians who participate in roasts and said the process requires a unique skill set.
“It’s an actual talent within the idea of roast that comedians have to have to make this work,” he explained.
Hart also believes the success of any roast largely depends on the willingness of the featured guest to embrace the experience.
“Well, I think the beauty of any roast is the roastee being game for whatever is going to happen,” he added.
According to Hart, some celebrities agree to participate without fully understanding what comes with being the center of attention for an entire evening.
Hart Says The Hot Seat Comes With No Guarantees

Continuing his thoughts on the roast format, Kevin Hart explained that participants must be prepared for absolutely anything once they take their seat on stage.
“Sometimes they sit in that chair and don’t really understand what comes with that chair,” he said.
For the star, agreeing to be roasted means accepting that every aspect of your life could become fair game for comedians.
“When you sit in that chair, it’s like, ‘OK, have at it. Like, go have a good time.’ Right?” he asked
Hart’s revelation gave fans a better understanding as to why he appeared so comfortable throughout the three-hour Netflix special despite being the target of relentless jokes from fellow entertainers.
His willingness to laugh at himself became one of the defining features of the event and helped set the tone for the evening.
Kevin Hart Addresses Backlash Surrounding The Netflix Roast

Hart’s comments arrived after “The Roast of Kevin Hart” sparked significant controversy online.
Several jokes from the special were criticized by viewers who argued they crossed the line and contained racist, sexist, or otherwise offensive material.
One of the most talked-about moments involved comedian Tony Hinchcliffe, who faced backlash for making a joke about George Floyd during the event.
Recall that Hinchcliffe ended his set midway through Hart’s roast by saying, “You’ve done good, though, Kevin. The Black community is so proud of you. Right now, George Floyd is looking up at us all laughing so hard that he can’t breathe.”
The controversy quickly spread across social media, generating heated debate among viewers about the limits of comedy and roast culture.
Despite the criticism, Hart later defended Hinchcliffe and the joke in question. At the same time, he acknowledged that he personally would not have approached the subject in the same way.

Prince Harry’s Cousin’s Wedding Compared To King Charles
King Charles’ nephew, Peter Phillips, is set to walk down the aisle with his fiancée, Harriet Sperling, this weekend.
However, their future marriage has now drawn comparisons to that of Charles and Queen Camilla, particularly over how their blended family may adapt.
Charles’ youngest son, Prince Harry, is expected to miss the wedding amid reports that his relationship with Peter has soured over the years. A royal expert has also suggested that Harry feels “hurt” by the snub and blames his estranged brother, Prince William, for it.
Other royals who will reportedly miss the nuptials include former Prince Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson.
In the royal family, history has a peculiar way of repeating itself. Ahead of Princess Anne’s son Peter Phillips’ wedding to Harriet Sperling, royal commentators are drawing a striking parallel to that of Charles and Camilla, one of the most scrutinized romances in the modern history of the monarchy.
Like Charles and his wife before their wedding, Peter and Harriet both have children from previous marriages. Peter is father to daughters Isla and Savannah, whom he shares with his ex-wife, Autumn Kelly, while Harriet has a 13-year-old daughter, Georgina Sperling, with her ex-husband, Antonio St. John Sperling.
All three children are said to be getting along well and reportedly even played a role in their parents’ union, as Peter and Harriet are believed to have met at a sporting event attended by the girls.
They also made their first public appearance together on Easter Sunday at St George’s Chapel in Windsor last April.
Why The King Charles Comparison Has Limits
However, according to The Telegraph’s royal editor, Hannah Furness, Peter and Harriet’s blended home is unlikely to mirror Charles and Camilla’s entirely.
Unlike Peter and Autumn’s split, which came with “very little public drama,” Charles’ marriage to Princess Diana was marked by accusations of infidelity involving Camilla and years of public scrutiny.
Furness also pointed out in a newsletter titled “Your Royal Appointment” that William and Harry did not grow up in any meaningful way with Camilla’s children, Laura Lopes and Tom Parker Bowles.
“Where other royal children were too old, or broken marriages too complicated, for them to grow up together, the Phillips-Sperling cohort could be a real blended family,” Furness wrote.
The royal editor added that Princess Anne’s second marriage to Sir Tim Laurence was different, as he “had no children to join the young Peter and Zara.”
Prince Harry And Andrew To Miss Peter’s Big Day

While several members of the royal family are expected to attend the nuptials, Harry, Andrew, and Sarah Ferguson will reportedly be absent after not receiving invitations.
A source claimed that the Duke of Sussex, who was once close to Peter, has grown distant from him since stepping back from royal duties and relocating abroad with his wife, Meghan Markle.
“Peter and Harry haven’t spoken for several years and have simply lost touch, so he hasn’t been invited,” the source said, per Hello! Magazine.
Andrew and Sarah’s omission is reportedly tied to the controversies surrounding their links to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, which have contributed to their fall from royal life.
“When and whether Andrew Mountbatten Windsor and Sarah Ferguson had been invited, it was probably not deemed appropriate to invite them. It’s Peter and Harriet’s special day, and clearly their attendance would cause a distraction to the whole day,” the insider explained.
Royal Commentator Makes Case For Prince Harry’s Omission

Meanwhile, reports suggest Harry is not pleased about being “snubbed” from Peter’s wedding and blames his brother, William, for the situation.
According to Page Six, royal commentator Emily Nash said that while Peter may have excluded Harry because they have grown apart, the incoming groom remains close to William and is protective of that relationship.
Peter has remained a steady presence within the wider royal family over the years and has often been seen as a calming figure during moments of palace tension.
Nash also suggested that leaving Harry off the guest list could help ensure that Peter and Harriet’s wedding is not overshadowed by wider royal drama.
Prince Harry Reportedly Believes William Influenced The Guest List

As reported by The Blast, Harry allegedly sees William’s close relationship with Peter as a major reason he was left off the guest list, believing the omission may not have happened without outside pressure.
A source alleged that Harry feels William has “pressured Peter to take sides,” especially since he had expected an invitation, given how close he and Peter had once been. The Duke of Sussex reportedly does not fully blame Peter for the situation, as he understands his place within the royal family dynamic and William’s influence in royal matters. However, he is said to have been left “hurt” by the situation.

Body Language Expert On Amanda’s ‘Summer House’ Exit
Part 2 of the “Summer House” reunion aired earlier this week, and now that it’s been a few days, more and more people are chiming in on the episode. Body language expert Inbaal Honigman was one of them, stating that she believed Amanda Batula was “distressed” when she rushed off stage after taking heat from her co-stars about her secretive relationship with West Wilson. As for the latter, the expert said that Wilson was troubled when his girlfriend left the stage because that meant he would have to face the music alone.
Speaking with OK Magazine, Honigman spoke about Batula’s dramatic exit from the “Summer House” reunion stage. It came after her co-star, Ciara Miller, said that she believed Batuala and Wilson would work out because of Batula’s deep insecurities.
“When Amanda breaks down and asks to take a moment, she’s genuinely distressed,” Honigman said. “Sweaty and out of breath, she is feeling the heat. We see her holding the back of her hand to her face, which is a strong protective gesture.”
Expert Calls Out Wilson, Says He Snarled ‘In Frustration’ During ‘Summer House’ Reunion Taping

As for Wilson, cameras showed him being pressured to leave the “Summer House” reunion stage to chase after Batula following her teary-eyed exit.
“You should go after you f—ing girl,” cast member Lindsay Hubbard screamed at him. “Get up and go after her. Be a f—ing man.”
According to Honigman, Wilson appeared to be bothered by Batula’s sudden exit because it forced him to face the rest of his cast alone.
“As Amanda flounces off stage, West looks on, his eyes go after her but his body stays put, and he snarls in frustration,” Honigman said. “His teeth clench and his upper lip curls up in a snarl, and West’s eyes close at the same time, in an expression which is a mixture of disgust and disappointment. He cannot believe that she’s gone and now he’s got to answer all the harsh questions.”
Body Language Professional Says The ‘Summer House’ Cast Were ‘Defensive’ Instead Of ‘Inclusive’ Toward Batula

After nearly 30 minutes, Batula returned to the reunion stage, but the expert says her comeback wasn’t well received by the cast.
“When Amanda walks in, it is as if a bad smell entered the room, and everyone is instantly uncomfortable,” she said. “Jovial body language gives way to shifty moves and expressions. Suddenly, the cast are defensive instead of inclusive.”
Later, the expert also cited cutting statements Dara Levitan made about Wilson. On stage, Levitan said Wilson wants “people to think of you as a good guy.” However, she said that Wilson treats “the woman that give themselves to you like they’re expendable.”
The expert said that Levitan’s comments were the “most accurate of the entire reunion.”
She added, “While she describes West’s self-aggrandising ways, and his disdain for his roster of partners, Dara shakes her head from side to side in disbelief. Her hands can be seen, tightening and wringing in her lap, as she tries to contain her nervousness.”
Wilson And Batula Confirm Their Relationship After Intense Speculation
Don’t forget, Wilson and Batula confirmed their relationship back in March 2026 after weeks of intense speculation.
“We’ve seen the growing online speculation, so while this is still very new, we wanted to provide some clarity. It was never our intention to purposely hide anything,” their joint Instagram statement read. “Given the complicated relationship dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we needed a little space to process things privately before speaking on it.”
They didn’t stop there. The pair went on to say that their relationship formed after they grew closer as friends, adding that their connection was unexpected.
“As our feelings evolved, we wanted to take time to understand exactly what we were feeling. We also recognize that this has had an impact beyond just us and never wanted our actions to cause any hurt or be perceived as careless. We truly appreciate the understanding and respect as we navigate this,” they continued.
Another Cast Member Speaks About Relationship With Wilson

According to a previous report from The Blast, “Summer House” star KJ Dillard spoke publicly about his relationship with Wilson, revealing that they’re no longer friends.
“I know people make mistakes. I’m someone that gives grace, trust me,” Dillard said. “I’ve made plenty of mistakes, and people have given me grace, but it just seems like he’s not learning from his mistakes.”
Dillard then likened Wilson to his womanizing father, saying it hurts to see him toy with other people’s feelings.
“I’m just like, ‘Bro, what is going on? Are you actually sorry?’” Dillard stated.
