New Heights have a surprise podcast to be broadcast the day Travis Kelce marries Taylor Swift

Travis Kelce caught fans by surprise on Thursday night with a surprise announcement about a mystery guest on his New Heights podcast – with the episode set to be broadcast the day he marries Taylor Swift.

The world is watching Madison Square Garden with Swift and Kelce set to hold an intimate rehearsel dinner on Thursday night before hosting a party with around 1,000 guests at the venue in the heart of Manhattan on Friday night.

But the NFL star appears to have another surprise up his sleeve on the big day, via the popular podcast he hosts with older brother Jason.

The New Heights social media accounts announced on Thursday night: ‘We’ve got a very special guest making their New Heights debut… NEW EPISODE TOMORROW.’

Fans were stunned and speculation erupted immediately over who the guest could be. Some speculated that it might be Swift’s brother Austin, her father Scott or even the singer Ed Sheeran, who is in New York ahead of the big day and good friends with Swift.

And yet one of the producers of the show ramped up the drama by tweeting 40 minutes after the announcement: ‘None of you have guessed right.’

‘Hmmmm this must be huge. Can’t wait,’ one fan wrote.

Another joked: ‘We will be kinda busy tomorrow but thanks for letting us know!’

One of the directors of New Heights, Jake Chatzky, fueled the speculation further by retweeting the announcement with multiple ‘eyes-wide-open’ emojis.

Eagle-eyed fans, however, noticed one clue in the preview image shared by New Heights.

Kelce appears to be wearing the same blue checkered shirt he was pictured in during his bachelor party.

It is not known exactly who every member of his celebration party was, other than his brother also being there.

The couple have transformed MSG in the days leading up to the ceremony while celebrities from across the world have flown into a sweltering New York.

As the Daily Mail previously reported, the dress code for the rehearsal dinner is ‘cocktail attire’, a source said, with only family members and close friends expected to be in attendance at MSG’s smaller Infosys Theater.

Then, it appears the three-time Super Bowl winner Kelce will begin the biggest day of his life by dropping the new podcast.

Episodes are usually streamed around 9:30am eastern but the time this show is dropping was not confirmed in the surprise announcement.

This week, Kelce welcomed his friend and fellow NFL player George Kittle onto the podcast – days after Swift jokingly dedicated a performance of her song ‘Love Story’ to him at the ‘Tight End University’ event Kelce and Kittle co-host.

During the three-day event, Kittle confirmed that he had been invited to the wedding and that Travis and Taylor had instructed their guests not to buy them a wedding gift.

Inside Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s ultimate love story as wedding preparations ramp up

Pop superstar Taylor Swift and NFL star Travis Kelce are set to marry, concluding a three-year, intensely public romance that has consistently captivated global audiences. Their journey, from an initial podcast shoutout to this anticipated wedding, has unfolded in the public eye, becoming a modern celebrity fairytale.

‘Calling on the megaphone’

The high-profile romance between pop superstar Taylor Swift and NFL tight end Travis Kelce reportedly began with a charmingly thwarted attempt at connection. In July 2023, Kelce attended Swift’s Eras Tour concert at Arrowhead Stadium, home of his team, the Kansas City Chiefs. The 250-pound athlete tried to give Swift a friendship bracelet bearing his phone number, but security prevented the exchange.

He later confessed on his “New Heights” podcast with brother Jason Kelce that he felt “a little butthurt” about not meeting her. The “Love Story” singer was reportedly charmed by his comments and subsequently called him. They began dating shortly thereafter.

‘On the bleachers’

Taylor Swift’s public appearances at Kansas City Chiefs games commenced in September 2023. She first attended a game, seated beside Travis Kelce’s mother, Donna Kelce; the couple later departed Arrowhead Stadium. A newcomer, Swift became a regular fixture, cheering on Kelce at several subsequent matchups. During a Christmas Day contest, she notably wore a Santa hat featuring Kelce’s jersey number, 87. Swift later remarked, “Football is awesome, it turns out. I’ve been missing out my whole life.”

‘Karma’

The pair’s courtship takes on a globe-trotting flavor in November 2023, when Kelce attends a Swift Eras Tour concert in Buenos Aires. “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs, coming straight home to me,” Swift sings on stage.

‘Running over to me’

February 2024 saw Taylor Swift fly over 5,000 miles (8,000 kilometers) from her Tokyo Eras Tour concerts to Las Vegas. She attended the Super Bowl to watch Travis Kelce’s Chiefs. After the Chiefs’ overtime win, Swift joined the post-game celebration, sharing a kiss with Kelce.

‘So high school’

Swift releases her 11th studio album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” in April 2024. Fans hear references to Kelce in lyrics such as “You know how to ball, I know Aristotle.”

‘Crowds in the stands went wild’

Kelce attends a dozen Eras Tour shows in Sydney, Singapore, Paris and other cities in February through July 2024. In London, he makes a surprise appearance on stage wearing a black tuxedo and top hat during “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.”

‘Saw the scoreboard’

In February 2025, two months after wrapping up the Eras Tour, Swift attends her second Super Bowl. This time the Chiefs lose.

‘Love story’

August 2025 is set to feature Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift side-by-side on the “New Heights” podcast, where Swift will announce her forthcoming pop album, “The Life of a Showgirl.” As the pair record, a lush flower garden will be created in the backyard of Kelce’s Kansas City mansion, amid pink and white roses, for his proposal. Thirteen days later, the couple will announce their engagement on social media with a photo captioned: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”

Philippa Morris – who started the bookshop with Tim Curtis – said that they had invited Richard to the shop to sign books, after previous signed copies had ‘flown out’ around Christmas time.

She said: “Basically, we knew he was performing at the theatre, so we asked his publisher if he’d mind popping in to sign a few books. We were all so pleased that he came – it was a baking hot day and his train was delayed, but he still popped in before his soundcheck.

“He was really sweet, humble, and softly spoken. Just a lovely and quiet man, which was so nice considering all of his achievements.

“He made us laugh too – after taking the photo, Tim said that he looked a bit startled and Richard replied saying that was how he tends to look.”

Villagers’ fury as parking cowboys dig up a field to make an illegal Stansted Airport park and ride – and officials seem powerless to stop them

Published

on

The owners of New Farm Parking outside the village of Elsenham in Essex were served with an enforcement notice last September and told to stop trading

Residents are in uproar after cowboy parking operators dug up a field on the edge of their village to make an illegal park and ride.

To the hundreds of holidaymakers booking a spot at New Farm Parking before jetting off from Stansted Airport, the site appears perfectly safe and legal.

The signage is professional, spaces are sold online and the car park even appears on price comparison websites.

But the owners of New Farm – which charges drivers around £75 a week – were served with an enforcement notice last September and told to stop trading. Instead they have appealed and are expanding.

Police, trading standards and the county council have all failed to stop them.

Huge piles of earth have been piled up around the site on the edge of the village of Elsenham, five miles from the airport.

One couple who left their car at the car park this week as they headed off on holiday suspected something was amiss after the operators told them they must pay an additional £20 for a lift to the airport.

They looked worried as they asked the Daily Mail, ‘Is our car going to be alright?’ before heading for the airport in one of the site’s minibuses.

A fuel pipe runs beneath the ground there and one local politician fears a devastating explosion if diggers continue carving out more car park spaces.

New Farm is run by SC Parking Ltd, which is owned by a developer from Barking called Aurangzaib Cheema.

He has argued he should be allowed to carry on with his business as the site is already full of cars with bookings in place.

Ray Gooding, who sits on Uttlesford District Council – the planning authority in charge of enforcement – said of the car park: ‘It’s the bane of our life. It’s a very difficult situation.

‘They are carrying out works on a piece of land with an airport fuel supply line and in addition to that they’re selling parking space and the evidence is they are using unregistered drivers to drive minibuses to take people to the airport.

‘They’re asking for cash from people who have paid upfront for parking to take them to the airport. At the moment they’re slipping between the various enforcement agencies.

‘Uttlesford District Council are waiting for the secretary of state to decide on the enforcement notice.

‘This is having a major impact on the people of Elsenham where drivers are taking people back and forth to the airport at all times and speeding through the village. I am trying to get all the agencies together and find a plan of action.’

Mr Gooding criticised the behaviour of the individuals operating the car park.

‘The worst part of it is there’s some fairly threatening behaviour meted out towards the neighbours because they’re gradually encroaching on other people’s land,’ he said.

‘They’re continually running their diggers. There’s a fuel oil pipeline that runs below the surface there and they’re excavating in the vicinity of that.

‘If that were breached we’d probably lose a couple of villages and the airport as well. It would be a major event.’

Leighton Bishop, 18, has started a Facebook group of residents opposed to the site.

He said of the car park: ‘It’s been expanding and expanding. Frankly, their behaviour has been outrageous.

‘Their reason for appealing is there are cars on the site and they don’t want to lose money. The fact is, they have set up an illegal business.

‘They’ll be doing 50 miles per hour through our village.

‘If you’re driving too slow their drivers will stick two fingers up. They’re just smiling and waving now. They’re driving through the village 24-7.

‘It’s a big frustration the way the authorities are handling it. They’re risking lives every day.

‘My parents were driving through the village and one of them was doing 50mph in the 30mph [zone].

‘I really began to notice what was happening last October or November. It started off as a car park and just got bigger and bigger.

‘They ask people to pay [for parking] through a bank transfer. They operate under three different names.

‘You give them the money. They take your keys to look after and you go on holiday and get on a minibus and go to the airport. A lot of people go there and [find] their cars have been driven around while they’re on holiday.’

Car park users have complained online about returning from holiday to find small change and snacks missing from their cars or their mileage being too high and their vehicles dirty.

Another resident, who did not want to be identified, said: ‘It started off with a few cars being parked there and then it started growing and growing and then questions started to be raised about the legalities of this place.

‘Within the last year, it started to get significantly bigger. It’s going through the legal process and they’re still expanding through to the back.’

She said: ‘It is brazen. It looks like the council feels they cannot do much more because it’s gone to appeal. It feels like the council doesn’t want to rock the boat.’

The site sits on the main road as you drive into Elsenham. A sign either side of the black metal gates reads ‘Welcome to New Farm’.

Professional signage show it is accessible for wheelchair users and protected by cameras and a big ‘P’ gives the impression that it’s a proper car park.

A large temporary building at the entrance has a big ‘reception’ sign and an email for customers to use if they have a complaint.

A man behind the reception screen had a row of car keys in front of him with orange tags on.

Customers arrive and report to reception to hand in their keys and stand with their suitcases to wait for the minibus that pulls up by reception to take them to the airport.

Customers returning go to reception to collect their keys. The Mail watched one woman leave who seemed perfectly happy with the experience.

But neighbour Jowita Gosturani, 40, said: ‘They’ve expanded all the way to the path on the track at the back. Obviously they are doing well with their business.

‘People coming to the New Farm car park ask locals for directions. Their minibuses are going up and down all the time. They have been left to do whatever they want.’

Uttlesford District Council has been contacted for comment.

Bolton Council discloses bill for moving on Travellers from its land

Bolton Council discloses bill for moving on Travellers from its land

The Bolton News submitted a Freedom of Information Request following a number of unauthorised Traveller encampments in and around Bolton in recent weeks and months.

The money spent covers the past two years, but almost all of the costs have fallen within a single year.

Figures released under the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act show the authority spent £16,926.90 during 2024/25, compared with nothing in 2023/24 and £2,430 in 2025/26.

The figures cover the cost of removing or evicting travellers from land after unauthorised encampments across the borough.

Cllr David Wilkinson, of Westhoughton Town Council, said: “It has not been as bad round our way, we do not have as much land now to create this issue.

“There was some land earlier on the A6 used, which is now secure.”

Cllr Wilkinson said the reason his area hasn’t been as affected is due to the costs it’s taken them to secure land better.

The council’s spending peaked during 2024/25, accounting for a high fraction of the two-year total due to 2023/24 having £0 spent.

The latest figure for 2025/26 is significantly lower, at £2,430.

In 2024 Bolton Council applied to shut down the permanent Travellers Camp in 2024, after several high-profile incidents and concern from nearby residents.

The authority says that suspected cases involving drugs, serious violent crime and firearms meant the site was no longer safe either for tenants or those living nearby.

Town Hall chiefs said that in the six months leading up to legal action, there was an escalation in the level of violence and criminality, including a serious attack on a council liaison officer.

After a police investigation into the illegal abstraction of electricity at the site, thousands of pounds were spent on network repairs to make the area safe for residents.

The council says that vandalism, including to the site office, meant it was no longer possible for their staff to maintain a permanent presence in the area.

It added ongoing maintenance, repairs, and security at Crompton Lodge was costing the council more than £100,000 a year.

Cllr Wilkinson added: “In years gone by then we have had to spend significant sums. It does not surprise me it is a big issue, whether we like it or not Bolton ended up.

“Most of the costs will be related to courts afterwards because, depending where you are.”

The figures come months after five caravans set up on a private car park off Pavilion Square, near Cricketers Way, in Westhoughton, in March.

The site serves several businesses, with other vehicles continuing to use remaining parking spaces while the encampment was present.

There was also a Travellers Camp in Harwood and Breightmet in recent weeks.

Travellers were seen camping on Longsight Park, found in Harwood.

They stayed for a number of days before being legally required to move by Bolton Council. Failure to do so would have meant a notice for them to appear in court.

Since then, the councillors have spent money protecting the park from further occurrences; which doubles up as a way to protect the land from other wrong-doers.

Cllr Jackie Schofield, of Harwood and Bradshaw, said: “It’s just that when they came to Longsight Park, they dealt with it really quickly to be fair to council staff, and the police as well.

“So that it wasn’t a big issue, I think it’s the fact that what they leave behind is a problem, it’s often a bit of a mess.

“I do feel that the travelling community get a bit of a bad reputation, but they need somewhere to go and there’s a lot of like criminal activity associated with them, and I understand that.

“It has cost us some money because we’ve actually put a new gate on, so that’s from out of the ward budget. But that doesn’t just prevent the travellers, it actually helps the arboretum [park] as well.

“I’m happy to do that if it protects it, not just from travellers, but also from problems with off-road bikes in our ward.”

The site serves several businesses, with other vehicles continuing to use remaining parking spaces while the encampment was present.

Unauthorised encampments on private land are generally the responsibility of the landowner, who must take legal steps if they wish to seek possession of the land.

Gypsies and Travellers are protected from discrimination under equality legislation, while landowners also have legal rights when unauthorised encampments take place.

Muhammad Billal, 19, admitted planning a terrorist attack with a gun and trying to travel to a training camp in Somalia. He has now been jailed for more than 13 years

A teenage extremist who bought an illicit firearm and planned to target Old Trafford and Manchester Arena as well as local schools has been jailed for 13 years.

Muhammad Billal, 19, from Nelson, Lancashire purchased the gun on a secret online forum and researched shooting ranges and crowded places before attempting to join the Islamic State, using the cover of a football fan travelling abroad.

He was advised to put footballers on his phone and then searched online for ‘Ronaldo wallpaper’ – a reference to the Portuguese player – in an attempt to fool the authorities while trying to leave the UK.

However Billal was stopped at Manchester Airport on his way to Dubai, when officers examined his phone, only to find several copies of an online magazine published by ISIS as well as details of the firearm he had purchased.

Simon Gurney KC, prosecuting, said Billal’s intention was ‘abundantly clear, he was determined to carry out that intention and came very close to doing so. He was only prevented by the intervention of the authorities’.

The Old Bailey heard that he began accessing Islamic State videos calling on their followers to ‘rise up against the infidels’ from the age of 17, spending up to five hours a day viewing material and falling asleep listening to Islamic State chants.

He looked up the leadership of the group, maps, recent attacks, ISIS wallpapers and logos and references to the executioner known as Jihadi John. He also purchased a balaclava online.

Billal went on to search for anti-Jewish imagery, ISIS in Palestine, weapons on the West Bank and ‘where do under 18 go for murder EU’.

On March 16, 2024, Billal searched for how to buy a gun, visiting websites offering guns for sale in the UK, including one called Gunstar, which described itself as ‘the UK’s leading guns marketplace.’

He browsed semi-automatic rifles, and a number of AK47s costing around £850 and, four days later, he recorded an audio message on his phone proclaiming support for Islamic State and ‘death to America’.

A few hours later he searched for ‘big dagger’ and viewed websites selling different types of hunting knives but then returned to trying to purchase firearms on a site called Gun Trader on March 25.

He began by researching military bases in the UK as a target before moving on to a college and public swimming pool in Nelson on April 12.

By July 4, Billal was searching for information about the location of primary and secondary schools in the Colne area of Lancashire.

By September 1, he was looking for crowded locations in his local area, including nightclubs, busy streets, Manchester Victoria and Piccadilly railway stations, Manchester Cathedral and the AO Arena – the site of the Manchester Arena bombing.

On September 3, Billal searched for churches using Google Maps and viewed two Catholic churches in Manchester.

He conducted similar online reconnaissance of locations on September 9, viewing the Trafford shopping centre, the Manchester Convention Centre, Old Trafford stadium, which is home to Manchester United football club, and local universities, before searching for ‘jew’ and viewing synagogues in the local area.

The searches continued on September 15, 16, and 17 and on September 30 he returned to looking at a school in Colne and, an hour later, for how many rounds of ammunition an AK-47 magazine held.

However, on October 5, Billal ‘changed his focus’ after contacting a user called Abu Sayf ar-Rumi on the Simplex Chat application who mentioned the need to encourage ‘brothers to make hijra’ (emigrate) to the Islamic State.

Billal said he had bought ‘something’ and sent a gun emoji, sending a link to a Telegram channel of an online marketplace for firearms and saying he was ‘not hundred percent sure’ it was real but was ‘waiting for delivery.’

He explained that he had spent £660 paid up front in Bitcoin with £600 cash to be paid on delivery but was also expecting to receive £500 from crypto trading.

On October 7, he messaged Rumi to discuss his travel options to Somalia, including the option of flying via Dubai to give the impression to the authorities of taking a holiday in Dubai.

The following day Billal messaged stating: ‘I think I’m ready, I got 1,367’ because the firearms dealer had given him a partial refund.

On November 7, Billal was contacted by another user on the Simplex Chat application who told him ‘don’t leave anything from Islam’ on his phone and advised him to put music and footballers on the phone and Billal then searched online for ‘Ronaldo wallpaper’ – a reference to the Portuguese footballer.

Billal was stopped at Manchester Airport on November 20, 2024, on his way to Dubai and his iPhone examined.

Four copies of an online magazine published by Islamic State called Rumiyah were identified and he was arrested and questioned but then released on bail.

However, when police examined the phone further they found details of the gun purchase and Billal was arrested again on February 11 last year.

Billal told police that he was not a violent person and had been travelling to Ethiopia on vacation for ‘some sunshine’.

He was jailed for 13 and a half years after pleading guilty to two charges of preparing acts of terrorism and four charges of possessing material useful for terrorism.

The court heard that Billal was an Italian national of Pakistani origin who moved to the UK when he was 13 but suffered from autism and became isolated, failing most of his GCSEs, dropped out of school and rarely left his room.

The judge, Mrs Justice Cheema-Grubb said he was motivated by Islamic State ideology and a desire for martyrdom and was ‘prepared to kill members of the public in the United Kingdom‘.

His change of plan was not because he had abandoned terrorism, ‘you changed route’ she said.

The court heard that even when he was released on bail, Billal immediately sought to book another flight but did not have a bank card.

Prison Officers conducting a search of Billal’s cell at HMP Wormwood Scrubs on April 16 last year found an envelope containing a drawing of an ISIS flag and handwritten content glorifying the cause of Islamic State, along with a piece of card with ‘Anjem Choudhury HMP Milton’ written on it, a reference to the jailed extremist preacher Anjem Choudary.

Detective Chief Superintendent Jon Chadwick, head of Counter-Terrorism Policing North West, said: ‘The offences Muhammad Billal has been convicted of are amongst the most serious charges that can be brought against an individual.

‘Our investigation into his actions has been meticulous and we have been able to gather evidence which shows a firm intent to engage in acts of terrorism.

‘Although he changed his focus from committing an act of terrorism in the UK to committing offences in another country, the level of detail he researched in preparation of an attack here shows the risk he presents to the public.’
