Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis Exposes Brutal Secret From Jake Paul Training Camp
Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis has seemingly exposed a brutal secret from Jake Paul‘s training camp that could spell bad news for what little chance he possibly had in his upcoming heavyweight fight against the former two-time boxing champion Anthony Joshua.
An internet sensation, Paul entered the pro ranks in 2020 when he fought AnEson Gib. Over time, he captured the attention of the mixed martial arts industry as he kept feasting on the likes of Tyron Woodley, Anderson Silva, and Nate Diaz. He came unstuck in his first proper boxing test, as he dropped a split decision loss to Tommy Fury in 2023, but has since rebounded with wins over boxing journeyman, Mike Perry, and Mike Tyson.
His most recent victory was a 10-rounder against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. But even recent experiences won’t prepare him for what’s next against Joshua, especially if rumors are true about what happened in his training camp for the ‘Tank’ exhibition.

A social media post from Jake Paul sent the boxing world in a spiral, with fans guessing his fight against Anthony Joshua would be canceled.
Gervonta Davis Says Jake Paul Would Have Struggled Against Him
Davis was the original opponent Paul, through his company Most Valuable Promotions, was scheduled to take on, albeit in a boxing exhibition, on the 17th of November at the Kaseya Center in Miami. Davis’s civil allegations, though, scuppered the bout with Paul canceling ‘Tank.’ He sounded out alternative opponents, like the former UFC champion Francis Ngannou, before settling on ‘AJ’.
But no matter what he does to prepare for Joshua, such as recruiting notable heavyweights to spar against, including a fighter who knows Joshua better than most, there is little he can do to even survive against Joshua, let alone compete.
That’s according to Davis, who hinted that he’d have destroyed Paul not just due to a gulf in abilities, but also because of what he’d heard was happening in the American influencer’s training camp.
“He was getting his ass beat in camp.”
Davis continued: “I was gonna do him bad. But everything happens for a reason, that’s why I didn’t trip.”
The Paul vs Joshua takes place at the Kaseya Center and airs on Netflix.
