19 Years Later, Gerard Butler’s R-Rated Fantasy Epic Isn’t Backing Down on Streaming

Published

Gerard Butler on the red carpet

Movie fans have had a lot to be excited about this summer, but one of the biggest new releases that has everyone talking is The Odyssey. Christopher Nolan is directing the new historical epic, and after his colossal success with Oppenheimer, his attempt to adapt Homer’s work can safely be considered one of the most anticipated movies of the year. Nolan has recruited one of the most impressive ensembles of all time to star in The Odyssey, but starring in the lead role of Odysseus is Matt Damon, who also had a key role in Oppenheimer in 2023. Plenty of other directors have taken their hand at adapting The Odyssey and other famous historical stories over the years, but only a few have reached the status that The Odyssey hopes to achieve once it hits theaters on July 17.

When it comes to great historical epics, one of the first projects that comes to mind is 300, the legendary film directed by Zack Snyder and starring Gerard Butler. The epic tells the story of the great 300 Spartan soldiers who stood against the Persian King Xerxes at the Battle of Thermopylae, and it also features some other big names, including Michael Fassbender and Lena Headey. Now 20 years removed from 300 arriving in theaters, the film still does not have a streaming home, but that hasn’t stopped it from becoming one of the top 10 most-watched titles on VOD in several countries around the world. In addition to directing the film, Zack Snyder also wrote the script for 300 with Kurt Johnstad and Michael B. Gordon, and it’s based on the graphic novel by Frank Miller and Lynn Varley.

The Academy Has Decided
Your Perfect Film Is…

Your answers have pointed to one Oscar Best Picture winner above all others. This is the film that was made for the way your mind works.

Parasite

You are drawn to films that operate on multiple levels simultaneously — that begin in one genre and quietly, brilliantly migrate into another. Bong Joon-ho’s Parasite is a film about class, desire, and the architecture of inequality that manages to be darkly funny, deeply suspenseful, and genuinely shocking across a single extraordinary running time. Your instinct is for cinema that hides its true intentions until the moment it’s ready to reveal them. Parasite is exactly that — a film that rewards close attention and punishes assumptions, right up to its devastating final image.

Everything Everywhere All at Once

You want it all — and this film gives you all of it. The Daniels’ Everything Everywhere All at Once is one of the most maximalist films ever made: action comedy, multiverse sci-fi, family drama, existential crisis, and a genuinely earned emotional core that sneaks up on you amid the chaos. You are someone who responds to ambition, who doesn’t want cinema to choose between being entertaining and being meaningful. This film refuses that choice entirely. It is overwhelming by design, and its overwhelming nature is precisely the point — because the feeling of being crushed by infinite possibility is exactly what it’s about.

Oppenheimer

You are drawn to cinema on a grand scale — films that understand history not as a backdrop but as a force, and that place their characters inside that force and watch what happens. Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer is a film about the terrifying gap between what we can do and what we should do, told with the full weight of one of the most consequential moments in human history behind it. You want your films to feel important without feeling self-important — to earn their ambition through sheer craft and the gravity of their subject. Oppenheimer does exactly that. It is enormous, complicated, and refuses easy comfort.

Birdman

You are drawn to films that foreground their own construction — that make the how of the filmmaking part of the what it’s about. Alejandro González Iñárritu’s Birdman, shot to appear as a single continuous take, is cinema examining itself through the cracked mirror of a fading actor’s ego. You respond to formal daring, to the feeling that a film is doing something that probably shouldn’t be possible. Michael Keaton’s performance and Emmanuel Lubezki’s restless camera create something genuinely unlike anything else — a film that is simultaneously about creativity, relevance, self-destruction, and the impossibility of ever truly knowing if your work means anything at all.

No Country for Old Men

You are drawn to cinema that trusts silence, that refuses to explain itself, and that treats dread as a form of meaning. The Coen Brothers’ No Country for Old Men is a film about the arrival of a new kind of evil — implacable, arbitrary, and utterly indifferent to the moral frameworks we use to make sense of the world. It is one of the most formally controlled films ever made, and its controlled restraint is what makes it so terrifying. You want your films to haunt you, not comfort you. You are not interested in resolution if resolution would be dishonest. No Country for Old Men is honest in a way that most cinema never dares to be.

Did Zack Snyder Direct the ‘300’ Sequel?

Eight years after the release of 300, the story continued with the release of 300: Rise of an Empire, which even returned stars Lena Headey and Rodrigo Santoro. However, while Zack Snyder did help write the script for the film and also serve as a producer, he opted not to direct, passing that duty to Noam Murro, who has not directed a feature film in the eight years since its release. 300: Rise of an Empire acts as a prequel and a sequel, with events in the film taking place both before and after the original.

Check out 300 on VOD platforms such as Prime Video and Apple TV, and stay tuned to Collider for more updates and coverage of Snyder’s future projects.

New Disturbing Details About Liam Payne’s Final Hours Revealed

Published

on

Liam Payne’s behavior reportedly grew increasingly erratic during the final hours of his life, with newly obtained witness statements offering one of the most detailed accounts yet of what unfolded before his fatal fall. Two women who spent several hours with the former One Direction singer on October 16, 2024, described the condition of his Buenos Aires hotel room, his alleged substance use, and the troubling escalation they witnessed before leaving shortly before 4 p.m. Payne died just 67 minutes later after falling from the balcony of his third-floor room at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel. He was 31.

According to sworn statements obtained by the Daily Mail, Aldana Serrano and Lucila Goitea arrived at the CasaSur Palermo at approximately 11:30 a.m. after Payne allegedly contacted Serrano through an escort website. Serrano initially questioned whether she was actually communicating with the world-famous singer and reportedly asked him to prove his identity.

“Liam contacted me via WhatsApp today (October 16, 2024) around 11 am. The whole time he spoke to me in English. He told me who he was and he sent me a video of him. The video wasn’t current; it was him singing,” she told investigators. “He also sent me pictures of him which he took while he was in bed, before we got there.”

The hotel reportedly collected the women’s identification before allowing them to enter room 310, enabling authorities to locate them quickly following Payne’s death. “He was alone in his room. He greeted us warmly and I asked him for payment. We tried to communicate, but it was difficult because he only spoke English and I only Spanish,” Serrano recalled.

The group allegedly relied on a translation application to communicate.

Witness Described Drugs And Alcohol Inside The Room

The women claimed Payne ordered champagne for them and two bottles of Johnnie Walker Black Label whisky for himself. Goitea also alleged that they observed him handling a substance with pieces of tinfoil.

“We saw that he was doing something like crystal meth with bits of tinfoil,” she claimed. “He asked us to get him some drugs, but we didn’t know where to get it because we’re not into that. He started scrounging in the tinfoil bits he had.”

The witness described Payne’s room as heavily disordered, with clothing and drug paraphernalia allegedly scattered throughout the space. “It was a mess. There was tinfoil everywhere with traces of drugs. A drawer was full of it, there was more burned tinfoil on the couch… a lot of clothes thrown around… he smelled of alcohol,” she said.

Toxicology reports later found cocaine, alcohol, and the sedative Klonopin in Payne’s system.

Liam Payne Sang His Music Before His Behavior Changed

Despite the room’s troubling condition, Goitea recalled a time when Payne played music for the women and sang some of his own songs. “He showed us the songs he was working on, then he got bad,” she told investigators.

After approximately two hours, the women reportedly asked Payne for the money they said he had promised them. The disagreement over payment allegedly marked a dramatic shift in his behavior. Payne reportedly offered them his gold Rolex, but the women said they wanted to be paid with money. According to their statements, the singer then smashed the watch and struck the television in his room.

“He removed his watch and flung it against the wall and broke it. He told us he could get ten of those,” Serrano claimed. “Then he started talking in English to someone on the phone and refused to give us his wiring information. I told him we were leaving, he got angry and punched the TV three times. He wanted to rip it open.”

Singer Reportedly Begged The Women To Remain

The women eventually went down to the hotel lobby, where staff reportedly attempted to help resolve the payment disagreement. While waiting, Payne allegedly paced through the hotel and repeatedly traveled between the lobby and his room.

At one point, Serrano said he spoke about his son, Bear, whom he shared with singer Cheryl. “Liam came down again. He told me he had a seven-year-old son too, that money didn’t make him happy,” she recalled.

The women briefly left the hotel before returning because Goitea had forgotten some of her belongings in Payne’s room. When they went upstairs to retrieve them, Payne allegedly apologized and asked them not to leave.

“We went up to the room with Liam and the bag was on his coffee table. I went to the bathroom and heard him apologizing to Aldana. He got down on his knees and apologized for giving us a bad time,” Goitea said. “He wanted us to stay in his room.”

Serrano offered a similar account, telling investigators, “He removed his jacket, got on his knees and apologized to me. He asked us to stay, and we told him no. He got angry.”

The women reportedly left shortly before 4 p.m. after ensuring the hotel’s front desk had their information.

CCTV footage reportedly showed Payne’s friend Roger Nores arriving at the hotel moments after the women departed. Nores spoke with the singer in the lobby before leaving, but Payne’s behavior allegedly remained erratic. At one point, another hotel guest reportedly heard Payne yell, “I used to be in a boy band that’s why I’m so f-cked up!”

A separate witness claimed the singer became upset by something on his computer before throwing it to the floor and yelling, “F-ck this sh-t.”

At 4:54 p.m., approximately 13 minutes before his death, surveillance footage reportedly captured three hotel employees carrying an apparently unconscious Payne through the lobby and returning him to his room. Receptionist Esteban Grassi subsequently contacted emergency services, warning that Payne appeared to be intoxicated and that staff feared for his safety because the room had a balcony.

Payne fell to his death at 5:07 p.m. Investigators ultimately determined that the singer was likely in a state of semi or total unconsciousness when he fell due to the combination of substances in his system.

The Women Became Critical Witnesses In The Investigation

Serrano and Goitea reportedly learned of Payne’s death after returning to their apartment and seeing the news on social media. Police contacted them within hours, and both women agreed to give sworn statements. Investigators said they cooperated fully, with both reportedly handing over their phones voluntarily.

A source close to the investigation emphasized the importance of their accounts, explaining, “These sworn statements by the women who were in the room with him on the day he died is the closest we will ever get to the truth about what happened.”

“These statements were given after they spent his last day with him. They were sworn under pain of perjury that same night. They were key witnesses, in many ways the most important. Their story is invaluable in piecing together what really happened to Liam,” the source added.

Ariana Grande Pulling Back From Public Eye After Tour

Ariana Grande on the red carpet

With public interest in Ariana Grande reaching a fever pitch, the pop star is reportedly ready to hit pause. According to a source, the “Petal” singer plans to retreat from the public eye after her ongoing tour wraps up in exactly one month. The decision is reportedly fueled, in part, by growing public scrutiny surrounding her health, appearance, and relationships.

One of Grande’s reps spoke with PEOPLE and said that the “Wicked” star will be “taking a step back from visibility after she completes the Eternal Sunshine Tour.”

“She looks forward to finishing the tour and ending it on a high note, both healthily and happily, and then taking a much-deserved break from public-facing work and appearances, which has led to endless, ongoing public scrutiny,” the rep added. “This tour has been a beautiful experience for her. She loves her fans and has loved every minute of this tour so much.”

Grande’s “Eternal Sunshine Tour” kicked off in early June 2026 and will run until September 1. Throughout the show, the singer performs tunes from her seventh studio album and also taps into some of the songs from her most recent project, “Petal.”

“She performs a very physical show, and there is a lot of athleticism involved. She performs healthily and successfully at a very high level night after night,” a source close to Grande said about the show.

Grande was also scheduled to appear in the West End revival of “Sunday in the Park with George” next summer; however, she’s since pulled out.

Conversation Surrounding Ariana Grande’s Body Ramps Up

Grande has been in the headlines over the last several years, as the public has taken an interest in her relationships and body like never before.

The “Victorious” alum addressed some of the claims in the single “Yes, And?” in 2024, singing, “My face is sitting, I don’t need no disguise / Don’t comment on my body, do not reply / Your business is yours, and mine is mine.”

She went even further, stating, “Why do you care so much whose [expletive] I ride? / Why?”

On Friday, July 31, Grande released “Petal” and the accompanying music video, which reportedly generated even more comments about her health and body.

An insider said that the album is a “fight song” and an “anthem about the love-hate relationship” she has with the public and their parasocial ways. “This album is not about any romantic partner or breakup in that way,” they continued.

Grande Has Spoken About Being In A ‘Petri Dish’ Since She Was A Kid

Grande has been open about how being picked apart by the public has affected her over the years. While promoting “Wicked,” the singer responded candidly to a question about how she handles beauty standards, noting that she’s been scrutinized since she was a teenager.

“I’ve been kind of doing this in front of the public and a specimen in a petri dish really since I was 16 or 17,” she said. “have heard it all. I’ve heard every version of it, of what’s wrong with me. And then you fix it, and then it’s wrong for different reasons.”

Grande went on to say that there’s been a “comfortability that we shouldn’t have at all,” adding that the comments can be “really dangerous.”

“I think that I’m really lucky to have the support system that I have to just know and trust that I’m beautiful. But I do know what the pressure of that noise feels like. It’s been a resident in my life since I was 17 and I just don’t invite it in anymore. It’s not welcome,” she said.

In a 2023 TikTok, Grande addressed her followers and the public’s “concerns about my body” and reminded people that despite being a celebrity, she has feelings too.

“I think we should be gentler and less comfortable commenting on people’s bodies, no matter what,” she said. “There are ways to compliment someone or to ignore something that you see that you don’t like that I think we should help each other work towards.”

The 2027 Met Gala Is Already Causing Controversy

Published

on

Anna Wintour is seen leaving her hotel during Paris Fashion Week

The 2027 Met Gala is already facing controversy after organizers announced an exhibition honoring John Galliano, the celebrated but polarizing designer whose career was derailed by antisemitic remarks in 2011. The Metropolitan Museum of Art and Vogue revealed Friday that Galliano will become the subject of “John Galliano: Horizon,” an exhibition examining his influential career in fashion. However, organizers are reportedly preparing for resistance over the decision, with Anna Wintour, Galliano and Costume Institute curator Andrew Bolton meeting privately with prominent Jewish leaders ahead of the event.

According to The New York Times, Wintour has met with New York City’s “influential rabbis and Jewish leaders” to “get their thoughts on the potential issues with next year’s planned fashion extravaganza.” Galliano and Bolton also reportedly participated in meetings intended to address concerns and seek the leaders’ “blessing” before the exhibition opens.

The meetings reflect the challenge facing organizers as they celebrate Galliano’s impact on fashion while still confronting the conduct that cost him his position at Dior.

Bolton, who has reportedly considered organizing a Galliano exhibition since 2010, acknowledged the responsibility of presenting both sides of the designer’s legacy. He said organizers must find a way to “hold artistic achievement and ethical accountability together without allowing one to erase the other.”

Galliano was serving as Dior’s creative director when his career unraveled in 2011 following an incident at a Paris bar. The designer was convicted of a hate crime after directing antisemitic insults at patrons and declaring, “I love Hitler” while intoxicated.

Galliano was ordered to pay court costs and a fine, while Dior fired him following the incident. The designer subsequently apologized and claimed that he could not remember what had happened because he was struggling with alcoholism and drug addiction.

Galliano withdrew from the fashion industry and entered rehabilitation before returning in 2014 as the creative director of Maison Margiela. The proposed Met exhibition will therefore arrive more than 15 years after the incident that transformed Galliano from one of fashion’s most powerful figures into one of its most divisive.

Jewish Leaders Address Galliano’s Attempt At Redemption

Some of the leaders who met with Galliano and the exhibition’s organizers believe his efforts since the scandal warrant consideration. Rabbi Rick Jacobs, president of the Union for Reform Judaism in North America, said he sensed Galliano’s “sincerity” during their conversation. “He was open. He looked right at us and spoke in a clear way, not as if he had memorized talking points,” Jacobs told the Times.

Jacobs also acknowledged that organizers appeared aware of the potential backlash surrounding the exhibition. “The fear clearly was the show could be met with a lot of resistance, not just skepticism, but a feeling of it’s wrong,” he continued.

Jonathan Greenblatt, chief executive of the Anti-Defamation League, similarly told the newspaper that he believes Galliano “has genuinely worked through the issues that led to his antisemitic outburst years ago in Paris.”

“We have long since accepted his apology,” Greenblatt added. “His efforts to repair the damage his words caused and to learn from that incident should be applauded.”

Rabbi Urges Met To Confront Galliano’s Past

Not every leader involved believes the exhibition should focus solely on Galliano’s creative achievements and personal rehabilitation. Rabbi Joshua Davidson, who leads Temple Emanu-El near the Metropolitan Museum of Art, encouraged organizers to use the event to educate visitors about antisemitism and its consequences.

“What we had said to them is it would be powerful, poignant and productive if they were able to leverage it as an opportunity to teach about the reality of antisemitism, and somehow wrap into the exhibition the importance of fighting back and the dangers of antisemitism in this moment,” Davidson told the newspaper.

Davidson also predicted that some members of the Jewish community would continue to view the decision as “problematic,” regardless of how the Met presents Galliano’s history. “People may very likely be upset by it. I can understand those feelings,” he said.

Anna Wintour Defends The Controversial Fashion Tribute

Despite the criticism, Wintour has firmly defended the decision to place Galliano at the center of an exhibition of this magnitude. In a text to the Times, the Vogue executive said Galliano’s “career isn’t defined by a single moment,” adding that “there is no one more deserving of an exhibition of this scale.”

Galliano played a major role in Dior’s evolution into a global luxury powerhouse and created some of the fashion house’s most recognizable designs, including the Dior Saddle Bag. His work continues to appear on high-profile red carpets, with stars such as Zendaya, Kim Kardashian, Amal Clooney and Tyla wearing vintage Galliano creations.

The exhibition will also place him in exceptionally rare company. Galliano is set to become only the third living designer, following Yves Saint Laurent and Rei Kawakubo, to receive a solo exhibition at the Met.

Your Sci-Fi Hero Is…

Your answers point to the iconic sci-fi hero who shares your instincts, your values, and your particular way of facing the impossible.

Arrakis · Dune

Paul Atreides

You carry a weight most people would crumble under — the knowledge of what you’re capable of, and the burden of what you might have to become.

  • You see further ahead than others and you plan accordingly, even when the vision frightens you.
  • You are driven by loyalty to your people and a sense of destiny you didn’t ask for but can’t escape.
  • Paul Atreides is not simply a hero — he is someone who understands the cost of power and chooses to bear it anyway.
  • That gravity, that willingness to carry what others won’t, is exactly you.

USS Enterprise · Star Trek

Captain Kirk

You lead with instinct, warmth, and an absolute refusal to accept a no-win scenario — because you’ve always believed there’s a third option nobody else has thought of yet.

  • You take the mission seriously without ever taking yourself too seriously.
  • Your crew would follow you anywhere, not because you demand it, but because you’ve earned it.
  • Kirk’s genius isn’t tactical — it’s human. He reads people, bends rules with purpose, and wills outcomes into existence through sheer conviction.
  • That combination of warmth, audacity, and relentless optimism is unmistakably yours.

The Rebellion · Star Wars

Princess Leia

You are the kind of person who holds the line when everyone else is losing faith — not because you’re fearless, but because giving up simply isn’t something you’re capable of.

  • You lead through conviction. Your voice carries because your belief is unshakeable.
  • You gave up everything ordinary the moment you chose the cause, and you’ve never looked back.
  • Leia is not a supporting character in her own story — she is the moral centre of the entire rebellion.
  • That same fierce, principled, unbreakable core is what defines you.

The Nostromo · Alien

Ellen Ripley

You are not reckless, not grandiose, and not particularly interested in being anyone’s hero — you just refuse to stop when it matters.

  • You see threats clearly, you document the truth even when no one listens, and when the time comes you handle it yourself.
  • Ripley’s heroism is earned, not performed. She doesn’t have a speech — she has a flamethrower and a plan.
  • You share her composure under the worst possible pressure, and her refusal to pretend the monster isn’t there.
  • When it counts, you don’t flinch. That’s everything.

The Wasteland · Mad Max

Max Rockatansky

You have been through fire that would break most people — and what came out the other side is something the world underestimates at its peril.

A movie that no one would have predicted would go on to create a trilogy three decades in the making, Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure is the first and, for some, the favorite installment of the canon. Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter star as Theodore “Ted” Logan and Bill S. Preston, Esq., respectively. The movie follows Bill and Ted and the adventures that follow when they are gifted a time machine by a mysterious stranger. The duo decides to use the device to travel to different eras and ace their history exam.

Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure is a delightful sci-fi and time travel mashup. It has fun cameos, amusing takes on historical figures, and some wacky moments. Much like The Fifth Element, Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure stands out and became something greater than the sum of its parts. Fans of Reeves will enjoy seeing their favorite John Wick actor years before he became an action superstar. If you enjoy a zany comedy with sci-fi themes, then Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure is your next watch.

‘Terminator 2: Judgment Day’ (1991)

Every once in a while, a sequel seems to outshine its original, and director James Cameron has achieved this phenomenon several times. The sequel to the 1984 movie The Terminator, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, once again featured the deadly T-800 humanoid robot played by Arnold Schwarzenegger. This time, the movie ramped up the stakes when it came to emotional connections and evil foes. Robert Patrick’s liquid metal T-1000 is a force to be reckoned with and still visually captivating on screen.

There is so much packed into Terminator 2: Judgment Day that viewers can take something new from it upon each rewatch. There are the major themes of life versus death and good versus evil, and there are more subtle and nuanced undercurrents about humanity, family, and society’s relationship and dependence upon technology. Even if you have seen this pop culture hit before, it always makes for an excellent watch.

Another sci-fi comedy that features time travel, Idiocracy is a movie that starts as a farce and ends up being a prophetic documentary. Joe (Luke Wilson) and Rita (Maya Rudolph) are two people selected for a cryostasis experiment. When the project gets unexpectedly shut down and ignored, Joe and Rita remain in their suspended animation for hundreds of years instead of a handful. Upon emerging, Joe and Rita discover that humans have devolved dramatically and Joe, very average in every way in his day, is now the smartest person on earth.

Like many works of science fiction, Idiocracy seems to have a supernatural ability to predict what could happen in real-life events. As time has moved forward, many of the film’s commentaries about the degradation of human intelligence, social media, commerce, and politics have started to come true. Writer and director Mike Judge joins the esteemed company of science fiction authors such as Philip K. Dick, Arthur C. Clarke, and Isaac Asimov, who predicted events decades before they were realized.

A vastly underrated sci-fi gem that has flown under the radar for quite some time is Monsters. The plot involves a journalist named Andrew Kaulder (Scoot McNairy), who agrees to escort Samantha Wynden (Whitney Able) through Mexico and back to the US border before travel becomes completely impossible. Their journey is an arduous one due to giant creatures that have taken over the continent and driven many humans into hiding.

Monsters is a creature feature that feels unique and distinct. It always emphasizes the human viewpoint first, with the monster elements serving as a catalyst, rather than a singular focus. Monsters was one of director Gareth Edwards’ first films, and he has since gone on to direct blockbusters such as Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Jurassic World: Rebirth. Edwards’ talent for directing memorable sci-fi films is evident in this low-budget masterpiece, and if you haven’t checked it out yet, this is the perfect opportunity to see why Monsters is a perfect 10/10.

Will Ferrell’s Son Addresses ‘Nepo Baby’ Label Amid Viral Rise

Published

on

2025 MTV Video Music Awards - Arrivals

Will Ferrell‘s eldest son, Magnus Ferrell, is now carving out his very own place in entertainment as his latest single continues to draw major attention. The 22-year-old musician has also received public support after his famous father helped introduce the track to a wider audience.

Magnus also spoke candidly about his experience trying to forge his own identity while growing up in a famous family.

Magnus Ferrell is proving he’s more than just Will Ferrell’s son. The 22-year-old musician has broken onto the Billboard charts as his single “Asleep Talking” continues to rack up streams and spread across social media, turning him into one of the internet’s latest breakout artists.

While the song had already been available for months, interest skyrocketed after Will Ferrell featured it during an appearance on Michelle Obama’s “IMO” podcast.

For Magnus, the sudden attention has been both exciting and disorienting. “It’s been like this weird dream,” he said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. “It doesn’t feel real, but then it does at the same time. It’s just crazy.”

Magnus isn’t shying away from the “nepo baby” conversation that has followed his growing success. Instead, the rising musician says he understands why people point to his famous last name, even as he believes his music ultimately has to earn its own audience.

The singer acknowledged that being Will Ferrell’s son naturally brings extra attention, saying critics “aren’t wrong” to recognize the advantages that come with his upbringing. At the same time, he argued that exposure alone can’t sustain a career if the music fails to connect with listeners.

“You have to acknowledge the position that you’re in because they’re not wrong. I can’t control the attention that I get because of my dad, but like, it is there,” Magnus said.

Magnus Ferrell Says He Won’t Take His Opportunity For Granted

Magnus also made it clear that he understands not everyone gets the same chance to pursue a creative career. Rather than denying the advantages that come with his family background, he said he views them as a privilege and something he hopes to honor through his work.

“At the end of the day, it’s just about the music; like if my music was terrible, it wouldn’t be doing the thing that it’s doing,” he argued.

The singer added that he’s mindful of how fortunate he is to chase his passion when many aspiring artists never get that opportunity. “I acknowledge the fact that I’m in a position where I’m even lucky to chase a dream and some people aren’t,” Magnus continued. “So yeah, just gonna take it with grace.”

Although he is now just landing on the Billboard charts, Magnus has been writing, producing, and releasing his own material while sharpening his sound behind the scenes. In the process, the 22-year-old has drawn on various influences ranging from jazz to classic pop.

Music has been part of Magnus’s life since childhood. He began piano lessons at age five and eventually teamed up with longtime collaborator Gabe Yaron after meeting in a school jazz band. The pair continued working together while attending the University of Southern California, where Magnus balanced his studies with an increasingly active music career.

He released his first songs independently before gaining traction with tracks including “Drinks On Me,” “Missed Your Chance,” and “Life Or Death,” the latter drawing hundreds of thousands of Spotify streams. Magnus later unveiled his “Hasn’t Even Started” EP and even contributed “Slow Down,” alongside “Deacon,” to his dad’s 2025 comedy “You’re Cordially Invited.”

Will Ferrell Jokes He Wants To Be Magnus’ Roadie

In a recent interview, Will joked that if Magnus’s momentum continues, he will happily swap his Hollywood movie sets for life on the road… as his son’s roadie. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight while promoting his Netflix series “The Hawk,” Will couldn’t hide his excitement over Magnus’ growing music career, calling it the thing he’s most proud of right now.

“It’s the best. I’m more excited about that than anything else,” he said, praising the younger Ferrell’s dedication to music. He then joked that his own career may have an expiration date if Magnus maintains the same trajectory. “I really want just to retire and be his roadie. Two or three more seasons of “The Hawk” and I’ll just be his roadie,” he said.

Imagining life on tour, Will quipped that he’d be happy working behind the scenes instead of taking center stage: “I’ll just be like the electrician at the Sabrina Carpenter concert. I’ll just do bits while he’s on stage.”

“The good thing is, obviously I’ve had three kids, so when you have kids, your abs disconnect,” Snooki quipped, referring to diastasis recti, a condition impacting an estimated 60 percent of pregnant individuals in which their abdominal muscles separate in order to accommodate a growing fetus. “[My doctor] ended up putting them back together, which is nice, because they were totally separated from my three kids.”

“I feel like in this journey, I’ve been very vulnerable in general,” she said. “I just want to keep it going because it’s a scary thing and a lot of us women deal with it, and no one really talks about it. Social Media Users Share Mixed Reactions After Tyla Denies Stealing Yung Miami's Song (WATCH)

Tyla is finally addressing Yung Miami’s claims that she stole her song ‘Chanel.’ Back in October 2025, Yung Miami took to X and alleged that someone had “ran off” with her song. While the rapper didn’t initially name anyone, she later made it clear that she was referring to Tyla after comparing her unreleased track ‘Take Me to Chanel’ to Tyla’s then-upcoming single ‘Chanel.’ Miami also claimed she had personally played the song for Tyla before the singer previewed her own track. Now, months after the allegations sparked an online debate, Tyla is sharing her side of the story.

Tyla Denies Stealing ‘Chanel’ From Yung Miami

During a recent appearance on Quen Blackwell’s ‘Feeding Starving Celebrities,’ the singer denied stealing the song and explained how ‘Chanel’ came together. Tyla recalled seeing Yung Miami’s posts online and immediately wondering whether they were about her. According to Tyla, she and Yung Miami had previously attended a party where Miami played around 20 songs. However, Tyla said her own ‘Chanel’ track came into the picture months later, when songwriter Bibi Bourelly sent her the song, with its concept and vibe already in place.

Tyla also said she understood why Yung Miami may have questioned the situation, explaining that she has experienced moments when other songs reminded her of her own music. She made it clear that she would never intentionally take another artist’s idea, adding, “You think I’m trying to ruin my career.” Despite the online controversy, Tyla made it clear she doesn’t have an issue with Yung Miami and showed the rapper love by singing part of her hit song ‘Spend Dat.’

Tyla wasn’t the only person ready to address the speculation. After The Shade Room Teens shared the clip, the songwriter of Tyla’s ‘Chanel’ Bibi Bourelly stepped into the comment section herself to shut down the idea that ‘Chanel’ or its concept came from another artist’s work. “Respectfully, one thing’s for sure, two things are for certain: neither the song nor the concept were inspired by anyone else’s work,” Bourelly wrote, adding that she wanted to put the rumor to rest.
